I used this case for a few months while waiting on my dbrand Killswitch case was on preorder. I have been a long time Moko case and peripherals fan and trused their products with my steam deck. This case fits my steam deck perfectly, the thumbstick caps were high quality, and the rear grips worked perfectly. I used this Moko case while on flights and on a cruise ship and never felt my steam deck was unsafe in the case. The case was super comfortable and I didn’t have any discomfort in my palms or on my thumbs with the stick caps after long 4 hour flight sessions playing the Resident Evil remakes. I received my project killswitch case this week and I regret buying the dbrand case. First off, the skins look good but I did not care for the feel of the vinyl on my steam deck. It is slightly sticky and the x-ray image was a little distorted vs what was in the pictures so I removed it. The rubber case was just as good as the Moko case and the main difference was the rear palm grips have a slightly bumpy texture with the dbrand case. If Moko offered a plastic front cover like the dbrand case I would recommend the Moko in a heart beat. The Moko case does fit the steamdeck’s zippered case. The only reason I wanted the dbrand case was for the travel front cover case so help me have more room in my luggage when I travel and the video on Linus Tech Tips sold me on the vinyl sticker. Don’t fall for dbrand’s marketing. Moko is the case you want and you can skip on any vinyl stickers offered by the other vendors.
The quality of the product is great, it is well made and durable. It is easy to use and has a sleek design and the included accessories are also a plus. The only downside is something I have experienced with every steam deck case I have tried and that comes down to comfort. The case’s edges end in a awkward spot on the face of the Steam Deck which can make holding it while cased quite uncomfortable over time.
Includes a sturdy TPU case (with an integrated kickstand), 4 pairs of thumbstick grips, 1 pair of trackpad protector stickers, and 1 set of rear paddle button protector pads.
Build quality is excellent on this item across the board for all the included components. Let’s go through each of them one-by-one…
Case:
* The case is a sturdy TPU (unlike some of the floppy silicone cases that were more common when the Steam Deck was first released). This means that it fits perfectly onto the device and doesn’t shift around.
* Despite the part near the top vent looking slightly warped in my photo, when installed on the device, it looks fine and is perfectly sturdy.
* The cutouts are all properly positioned, and mostly perfectly sized. The only exception (for me) is the 3.5mm audio jack cutout, which is slightly small for some headphones (e.g. a HIFIMAN HE4XX plug fits, but a Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee doesn’t fit).
* The integrated kickstand is built extremely well, and is super sturdy (unlike the original Nintendo Switch’s integrated kickstand, hah). When opening, it slides down and clicks satisfyingly into place with the metal pins (seen in the photos), and folding it back in is a cinch. The kickstand *does* increase the thickness ever so slightly (by roughty 4.5mm), which means that the device becomes a bit of a tighter fit in the Steam Deck’s carrying case.
* I don’t know how much of a difference the perforations on the back make as far as heat dissipation and temperature is concerned, but any small attempt to improve it is appreciated.
Thumbstick Grips:
* Made of rubbery material (presumably TPU too)
* Two pairs of tall grips (14mm in depth), two pairs of short grips (7mm in depth)
* When installed, the tall grips will prevent the Steam Deck carrying case from closing properly… though they do allow for more nuanced sensitivity since larger motion with the taller grips translates to smaller radial movement on the actual stick itself given the distance.
* These grips prevent the capacitive functionality on the thumbstick from working, which means gyro aiming in some games (like Aperture Desk job) will not work. By comparison, dbrand’s Steam Deck Stick Grips do support this feature (albeit seemingly inconsistently in my testing).
* The amount of actual grip these provide is okay; it’s less grippy than I’d like, but not terrible either. By comparison, dbrand’s grips feel more grippy and comfortable. (I swear this isn’t a plug for dbrand’s grips lol; just something I have on hand for comparison.)
Trackpad Protector Stickers:
* Carbon fiber looking pattern, and sized appropriately for the touchpad
* CAVEAT: I did not have a chance to actually test this particular component out because I already have another trackpad protector sticker (from TouchProtect) installed that’s still working well for me. It would be wasteful to tear that off just to test this one out. Sorry!
Rear Paddle Button Protector Pads:
* These pads are roughly 2mm thick, and add texture to the rear paddle buttons
* They work fine. I don’t think they’re entirely necessary, but they’re included if you need/want it. Can’t say for sure how long they’ll stick, but they use 3M adhesive, so they’ll probably last.
Closing Thoughts:
It’s a nice set, and the quality of each included component is pretty great. The only thing I feel is missing that would complete the set is a snap-on face plate la dbrand’s Project Killswitch, but hey, you get a lot of value already included as-is, especially compared to the likes of Project Killswitch (which is like… 3x as expensive for a similar set of components).
This case worked great on my Steam Deck. I really liked the kickstand. Much better than others I’ve used. It’ll stay put and should last a long time. I also enjoyed the included extras along with the case. Track pad covers were a nice addition. The case fits well too, breaths well, and should handle a fall if it comes to that.
Protection de qualit. Je l’utilise depuis plusieurs semaines et elle protge bien la console. Je recommande. Le plus est qu’elle est livre avec des capuchons pour les sticks.
Great case, feels very well made and durable. Goes in pretty snug – but that’s fine as I don’t plan to remove it often. Kickstand is a nice feature to have too! My Deck feels a bit safer now, especially with a toddler in our home.
I love that i can be playing and just set it down real quick with the kick stand out without worrying about blocking the vents. It is very well made and grabs on tightly to the Deck, a little too tight. It is very hard to remove once it is on, other than that it has become my favorite case.
Great case, love the look, is comfortable and allows air flow. My only issue is the charging port, I wish it was cut out so I could use adapters along with the cord. Nice case otherwise.
Fits great on my steam deck with no issues.
It feels sturdy , good and the grip works great.
I think the case is well made and of good quality.
I liked it!
Just wish there was an option to decline on the sticker grip pads. I don’t like to put stickers on my stuff but is a cool option for those that do. If anything I’d use the rear pads as those are actual grip pads while the front ones are just stickers that look cool.
The kickstand case and assortment of thumb grips is definitely cool.
I will say I had to cut the foam on the hard case to allow for the joystick covers to fit and original steam is now a tight fit. It doesn’t look like it adds much to thickness but guess everything was built around just the console. But nothing against this product and more an issue now with case creators.
I got this to replace an older case on my Steam Deck. I’ve ordered MoKo cases before and have always been pleased, and this case was no exception, just a few cons.
The case fits the steam deck perfectly. The vent holes are not covered, and all of the buttons on the top are protected. The case itself is solidly built. It doesn’t interfere with the screen protector I have on there already. The kickstand is a nice touch too.
The kit also comes with covers for the touchpads and the back 4 buttons, as well as your choice of thumbstick covers. The touchpad and back 4 button covers fit and stuck on nicely. I like that they give you the choice of several different heights for the thumbstick covers (I chose the lowest profile one personally).
CONS
The cutout at the top for the USB-C/PD cable is a LITTLE small. I have tried a couple USB-C cables/Thunderbolt cables in there and only some of them fit, not all of them. So YMMV on if your cable will fit.
There is no protection for the front of the Steam Deck beyond the stick on covers and thumbscrew covers, i.e. the area around the front buttons, the D-pad, etc is not covered. This may the way that these covers are going with design because I guess if you drop the steam deck on its front the thumbscrews will break first anyway? But my prior case DID have some protection for those parts. This may or may not be an issue for you. I may have to try a different case however.
Overall it’s a solid case. If you don’t mind that the area around the buttons isn’t covered, then this might be a good case for you.
TLDR:
The MoKo case fits my Steam Deck perfectly. Small issue: Doesn’t work with the official Valve Steam Deck Dock.
Pros:
– Design: The MoKo case fits perfectly and makes the Steam Deck easier to use. It fits my hands more comfortably and securely.
– Materials: The case is a TPU material. Not soft like silicone.
– Kickstand: The kickstand is a nice addition. Use a joystick, and sit back and play.
– Includes: The MoKo case also comes with 4 different joystick options and protective touch pad stickers
Cons:
– Dock: The dock and the MoKo case don’t play nice together. The USB-C cable from the Steam Deck dock doesn’t slide in while the case is on.

I find this a great protection for your deck. You get all what you need in the picture
Though the fitting is 98% perfect its does the job for me
