This is the WOLF SHIELD motorcycle helmet lock.
This arrived really quickly and came packed in a very sturdy, hard back box that you lift the top off to open. The box is plain with the brands name in gold. Inside the box you have the combination lock, a card with instructions on how to operate the lock, a small little note from the seller explains how he came to make this product and how he is a single dad and that when we review his product it helps him. I found this little note really amazing and it made me stop and think. This isnt a massive company its a single father who became laid off from his job and had to do something to help provide for his son, so he came up with this product. It was really nice to read that and know there was a struggling dad behind this product someone who is really needing this product to do well. I totally understand what people are saying about this lock not being really strong but it is just a helmet lock, it’s a product I’ve needed many times before. Its something to help keep your helmet with your bike while you go off and do whatever you need to. If someone is walking around with tools to steal they will take one look at my helmet and laugh. I have a little 50cc moped and my helmet isn’t anything special at all. This is a massive deterrent, because it gives the message that you take security seriously and if your using a lock for your helmet then your more than likely using other security measures with your bike. The wire is nice and covered by the orange coating so it won’t rust quickly. You have more than enough length to attach your helmet to your bike while you need to. The combination is 3 reels so easy to remember and quick enough to get open in the rain ect. It’s made from good, hard metal and it opens nice and smoothly. I think this is a great product and I will not have to carry around my helmet any more, I can finally leave it with my bike and feel at peace knowing its secure. You get a nice little pouch to store it and a little metal tool to operate it. Really good quality product. Really good value for money too so it’s a thumbs up from us and we recommend this produc
Got this for my bike helmet, it was very nice packed nice little box, the lock is great and very easy set up the code , yes it looks very strong. Im very happy now i can leave my helmet with the bike safe while using this lock.
This helmet lock is useful and very lightweight. It is simple to use and you can set your own combination to open.
I like the design and is practical, comes with a storage bag but is very small and didn’t fit inside. Anyway, still, a good and lightweight lock and I recommend it.
This is much slimmer and lighter than I expected. Rubberized so it doesn’t scratch. This is a little sturdier. Overall it’s pretty good as a deterrent. But as others have said – good for deterring grabs, but not enough to be as sturdy as, say a bike lock.
Motorcycle Helmet Lock, Portable Combination Digit Lock, 250cm Cable Lock for Motorcycle Bike Suitcase Luggage
A very useful lock very nicely presented in a nice gift box. In the box is 1 soft material carry pouch. 1 padlock instructions manual 1 warranty card . 1 elasticated buggies (orange) and 1 jubilee combination lock . The instruction manual gives clear details on how to set the combination lock (very easy to follow instructions) the orange buggie cord extends to apox 6ft when extended and is very flexible and strong at the same time. The is a lovely soft pouch for storage of the lock when not in use. A very practical and useful Bungee lock suitable for Motorcycle helmet and also holiday luggage. A good quality padlock. Very solid piece of ki
Good deterrent to prevent opportunist thieves but not strong enough to prevent well equipped thieves.
You attach the helmet using the coil and then secure it using the lock.
Th lock is easy to set and I like that it is a combination lock as I don’t need to worry about forgetting my keys.
Very happy with it!
The quality of the locking karabiner is quite good. The plastic coated cable is very nice. Together they offer a simple and effective solution to the question of what to do with your helmet. To be honest I don’t think a thief armed with a pair of pliers with a wire cutter tool included would have any difficulty cutting through this in a second. Better than nothing though. I think your average opportunist would have difficulty with this and it is therefore a good deterrent.
I reset mine to a personally memorable code in seconds. Quick.
I hope these opinions and observations are helpful.
This is a decent reasonably well-made lock. It is relatively sturdy. It is light and easily carried in the pocket which is a positive. This lock will not deter a determined thief but not many, if any locks will. This is secure. It will not be easy to break the code quickly (unless easily guessed) or break the lock without some tools. This will deter an opportunist thief. For that purpose, it does the job.
This lock comes with a long (250cm) wind-up steel cable. The carabiner has a three digit pin combination lock, easy to change it to your own combination. It is solidly made but this size can be snipped by a decent plier. This will act as a deterrent as it is a steel wire, but not with high level of security. On the other hand, the small cable size is also quite versatile on what items you can put a lock on.
This is a decent light duty lock. Not TSA certified so won’t be using it on my suitcases.
This works okay, and seems strong enough for its intended purpose.
The plastic coated coil looks thin but it withstood my attempts to cut it using a strong pair of kitchen scissors, so I think it is much stronger than it looks.
There are a few gripes. It does feel a little crude in its build and operation. The locking arm needs a bit of jiggling to locate into its socket. The number keys are a little difficult to see, and it’s not obvious where the alignment marks are.
Overall, though, seems reasonable for the cost.
Nice little helmet lock with spiral wire in orange colour.
In the box you het the lock, the plastic cable and a nice pouch to carry it all in. This type of lock will be easily defeated by a tooled-up individual, but the WOLF SHIELD combination and cable lock is a decent option if you’re looking to dissuade the opportunist thief.
The carabiner type design is extremely useful allowing you to attach the lock directly to something secure or use the cable. While I’m using the lock to secure my helmet to my bike, I will be using it to keep control of my camera/ drone bag when travelling.
It’s not expensive and it shows but it’s good enough for my needs.
You won’t be using this lock for remotely any sort of serious security. It’s a very basic lightweight lock that is just a carabiner with a three-way combination lock and a thin coiled cable, both of which could be defeated in seconds by anyone with a cable snipper or even a screwdriver and a bit of leverage.
What it is good for is those times where you’re just going to be a minute or two, at most, and the item won’t be out of sight. You can carry this lock in you pocket and fit it to whatever you want to guard in seconds. It won’t stop a thief who really wants your things at all, but it will stop any opportunist who decides to just pick up your stuff and walk off.
The combination is only three digits long, so it’s quick and easy to use. The wheels are little bit fiddly and hard to see in low light, but not any sort of a deal breaker.
For a cheap quick lock for very temporary and momentary use this is a useful little widget. For any remotely sort of serious protection and security then this isn’t the thing, but it’s not intended to be.
This is a new lock for me. It is unique and good idea as well. The lock it self is good and easy to use. I wish the cable is more solid.
This lock is quite small and not heavy duty at all. It would not take too much effort to break it but it is enough to be a deterrent. You have to imagine that anybody carrying the tools to break this are probably looking to steal motorbikes than helmets.
Securing a helmet is done with the cable rather than the lock itself, because the lock is quite small, but the cord is long enough that you could also use it to secure a jacket.
This sort of thing is handy for when you are popping into a shop or cafe and don’t want to be encumbered with a helmet. In my case I do not have any panniers or top box and rarely have a backpack so there is nowhere to keep a helmet. What I do have is a tiny compartment under the passenger seat which is just big enough for a small tool roll and disk lock, with sufficient room for this as well; anything bigger and I would not be able to carry it.
Don’t expect this to be strong enough to stop a determined and tooled-up thief, but it should prevent any opportunistic thief.
