Nikwax down kit. Arrived with all liquids to maintain your down items appropriately. Also came with a dry bag which can be used for your hiking bag or bike bag. Useful item to use as a pillow case for your down jacket to be used as a pillow when camping. Nikwax what can you say about the products. Nice Nikeax kit, easy to follow instructions and great that it is specifically for down puffa jackets that are loosing their proofing (and for the just plain dirty ones!) I use jackets like these for fishing and for horse riding, so they do need more care than the going to the shops jackets! The waterproofing works well.
Happy to have discovered a proofing solution especially for down clothing and sleeping bags and it’s from a brand I trust. I gave it a trial run today with a jacket and a gillet, one 700 fill and the other 500. I followed the instructions, and the results are amazing. I was horrified at how much dirt it removed, I go on a lot of muddy treks. After drying I used the proofing, rinsed and spun following instructions then dried. The results are amazing. I was wary of washing down but now I won’t hesitate. The dry bag is brilliant too, a decent size and it closes securely. Well set for the winter now.
You need to keep the feathers in down jackets clean so they can keep you warm This is the best product for this.
