I’ve had these shoes for about 5 months now. I believe they are a quality shoe for the price point.
I wear them probably every other day for general walking, and I wore them non-stop for a one month stint as a Washington State park Camp host in September. (Lots of walking. Lots of hills. 80% paved, 20% dirt/gravel/path. I didn’t use the cart much at all.)
My one and only gripe with them is that they seem a little wide compared to the average shoe. This might be good for some that are in-between standard width and width width, but for me, this is a little bit problematic. I sit somewhere between standard width and narrow width, unfortunately. The end result is that I don’t feel fully supported on seriously rough terrain. That said, these are an excellent casual hiking shoe for me. As others have noted, they did not require a breaking in period.
I’ve attached a picture of them after 5 months of usage. The bottom tread does show some slight narrowing in spots, but I would expect that given the amount of asphalt walking I did and the grip that these still have. (It’s not a super hard tread, but that’s good for grip in snowy/icy conditions.)
I would give these 4.5 stars. Half a star removed for the wide fit.
For now, I’ll round up because I’m pretty happy with these.
This pair of shoes fits comfortably and looks great. They wear well. The nonskid sole makes for sure footing. They are lightweight and breatheable. The only thing that needs to be improved is the cushioning. The inside cushioning is too light, especially towards the toe area. It makes for somewhat uncomfortable walking for me. I had to get a pair of cushioned insoles to put in to make them more comfortable.
This is a very comfortable lightweight hiking shoe. Please with the quality for the money.
I have ordered 3-4 different pairs of these types of hiking/sneakers. Most of them were 3xs the price and name brands. They were awful. Very heavy snd i did not like any of them. We are going to S Africa on January snd i need these for the trip. I was pleasantly surprised. These fit great (9.5) and are light on my feet. I have been wearing them around CO now to break them in.
I basically wore these shoes all 18 days of my South America trip. I waffled between the 7.5 and 8 sizes I bought because my foot is wide and the shoe seems to be too but I usually wear an 8 so went with that. Glad I did. They were roomy enough for slightly thicker hiking socks and sooo comfy. Don’t know if I’d say they are cute but they were cuter than most of the other more expensive hiking shoes I saw on people. The color was perfect to go with absolutely everything I wore, in the city or on the rocks. No slippage on dry or wet rocks, comfy and cool on city sidewalks. Best purchase I made for my trip. Great value!
Fit and style are practical and very comfortable for walking
I like how these shoes fit me just right; they’re not too expensive and they look good
THESE WALKING SHOES ARE EXCEPTIONAL SO COMFORTABLE. I HAVE TERRIBLE PROBLEMS BUYING SHOES. THEY LOOK GREAT. VERY PLEASED I CHOSE THEM . MUST COMMENT DELIVERY WAS EXCELLENT!
I used these shoes hiking in Utah, they fit as expected and were really comfortable.
Roomy and comfortable, good for an ” around the house” shoe. Not as supportive as the Adidas Swift hiking sneakers I’m used to. Not sure about hiking in them – will update.
Son cmodos y era lo que esperaba los uso para trabajar no tengo quejas
These are above average when it comes to inexpensive relatively no-name-brand shoes these days. I even got a pair of New Balance shoes recently and was really disappointed that the NB weren’t better than these in any way. They are comfortable, fit true to size, have proper soles and I have put a lot of walking miles on them with no issues.
Pedi la talla que usualmente compro en otras marcas conocidas en el mercado pero resulto media talla mas grande. y no lo puedo renviar por que estoy en Ecuador.
I liked that it did not need break in. Shoe was soft enough to wear immediately. Noticed the toe section rubbing on my 5th toes after a 4 mile switchback hike so if you have wider feet not recommended. This is okay for light hikes or easy trails. I agree with other reviewers get half a size larger especially if you are planning on wearing this with hiking socks. Also my socks was still dry during a light rain shower.
My wife needed some new casual/outdoor shoes and saw these. She decided to give them a try even though they were half the price of the name brand she normally purchased. Was she ever happy she gave them a try.
First, they fit perfectly. She is a bit of a challenge to fit, so she was not expecting these to fit or be comfortable. They actually fit better than the brand name shoes she had been wearing. They are super comfortable.
The more impressive feature is the traction. These shoes give better traction than what she has been used to.
These shoes are well made using quality materials. They look great, fit great and are comfortable for all day wear.
Best of all is the price — much less than the more expensive brand name. Highly recommended.
Really comfy, definitely gives me a comfortable fit even with thick socks!
These hiking shoes are great!
I was previously wearing a hiking book that was higher and even with tall padded socks, I was getting rubbing on the back of my ankle and blisters.
I made the switch to these lower hiking shoes and I’ll never go back!
These shoes are like tennis shoes, but with better grip.
They are comfortable – which I never thought I’d say that about a hiking shoe.
These shoes fit true to size.
I bought these for hiking in Maine and they were a life saver. Very comfortable. Very well made and pretty lightweight.
I needed some new shoes for when I go hiking and ordered these. I usually wear a size 7.5, and ordered my regular size and they fit fine. The shoes are very lightweight, they have a lot of grip on the bottom, so I shouldn’t have problems with sliding on wet rocks like I do with my tennis shoes. My only complaint is that I wished they were a little more padded in the sole and also the tongue can be uncomfortable if not situated just right. On my left shoe, it took me a couple of times to get the tongue situated so it was digging into the top of my foot. Overall, these seem like pretty good quality and for the price they aren’t bad. They are pretty comparable to the north face hiking shoes I had before this.
These are very comfortable, lightweight, attractive, quality hiking shoes. Aside from hikes, I wear them for my morning walks and just about everywhere else. I was worried I would need to size up (7 1/2), but they fit perfectly and have enough room to wear thick socks with when the cool seasons come around.
I’m SO GLAD I let my husband talk me out of duct-taping my old lawn-mowing shoes!!! (We operate a lawn business.) I still can hardly believe the huge difference! These are so lightweight that I walked/ran noticeably faster and easier! I felt airborne, in comparison! Very comfortable! Great tread! Water-resistant! Just an all-around nice-looking, durable, hard-working kind of shoe! Definitely recommend!! P.S. The recommendation for going up by another half size was perfect for both my husband and me!
Very nice looking shoe and fits well. Lighter in the more expensive hiking shoes but that works for me.
I ordered my regular size and they are the most comfortable hiking shoes. Well made & durable shoes. I use them almost daily as I like to hike. What I love the most is they din’t feel heavy. The color was true.
These boots are very comfortable. I purchased 6.5 and they are a perfect fit. I’m using them for working outside in the yard.
These are comfortable hiking shoes that offer decent support. They seem to be well made and the color is what I expected.
I ordered a 6.5 because I normally wear a 6 or 6.5 depending on brand and figured I could have thick socks on sometimes when wearing these. I feel the size is accurate. They aren’t wide or narrow. The arch is pretty high and supportive. You can lace the laces up to top with the hooks for more ankle support in hiking or tie them lower for more walking. They are light weight but have a good rugged sole. The color is neutral and should hide any minor wear and dirt. I anticipate these will last many years as I don’t wear them regularly.
The sizing is actually running a bit large, but in hiking gear I always look for a little extra room. The laces tighten up nicely and the shoe feels secure on my feet which is so important for rocky terrain. The treads are soft enough to grip well, and I have been able to go up steep rock faces with confidence while wearing them.
For going downhill, these work better then most others, the laces hold my foot back enough that my toes aren’t taking allll the pressure of a steep incline. But they aren’t perfect for downhill as my toes do still get a bit of pressure. (still better then most other hiking shoes I have worn)
The top lace hook latches the laces nicely so the laces don’t slip around a lot once they are tide.
Overall a good shoe that fit my long narrow feet well.
I really like the look of these hiking shoes. They are comfortable for the most part but I need more cush to alleviate chronic foot pain. I put brand new insoles on top of the ones provided to make them work for me . The shoes are slightly larger than usual (ordered my normal size) so adding the extra insoles helped with that as well. Only have worn them for short periods of less than four hours thus far and will increase time over the coming weeks as I break them in. So far looking very promising. Will update review if things change.
When you put a pair of sneakers on and the feel like slippers you know you hit the jack pot. Great value for the money. I would have given them a 5 but the tongue needs to be a tad wider. How about a 4.5 ?
Man, oh man I didn’t realize how bad my old hiking shoes were until I put these puppies on! Wow.
First, size was accurate. Fit as expected for a size 8.
Now the good stuff. The eva foam soles and padded collar are extra thick and very comfortable. The mesh lining is breathable, and the suede hugs my foot in all the right ways. The protective toe cap is perfect for someone like me who has a tendency to kick things accidentally. (Some would argue that I am too clumsy to hike!) They offer tremendous ankle support and tread.
But I guess what is so astonishing to me is how deeply comfortable they are. These are great hiking shoes at a reasonable price, and I can highly recommend them.
Been wearing these on my daily woods trail walks and they are doing a good job being supportive underfoot! The traction they offer is really helpful on the super steep hill we climb twice during our outing. It’s been really hot here and so far my feet have remained comfortably dry and cool in these shoes. I typically wear a sports type tennis shoe but am pleased with how much more stable my steps are in these shoes especially since the terrain is incredibly uneven in many places from all the tree roots. The price point is around the 50 dollar mark which makes these for my daily 4 mile use of them a great value.
I’m the kind of person who has a closet full of name-brand shoes. Not so much the rest of my clothes; I’m just really picky about my shoes that way.
I wanted some new shoes to wear to go walking/jogging around our property. I figured since I would only use the shoes for that purpose, and “no one was gonna see me in them,” I’d save a few bucks and try some shoes from a brand I’d never heard of. I came across these, and liked the way they looked, so I ordered them.
And I’ve been so pleasantly surprised! They are super comfortable (admittedly maybe more comfortable than some of the name-brand shoes I normally wear). They way they are cushioned up the heel I would say these definitely fit the bill as more than just walking shoes. I might not use them for hard-core, pavement pounding running, but for some off-road hiking/light jogging, these offer just the right amount of support, which is probably why they call them hiking shoes…
Anyway, I’d definitely recommend these shoes!
For reference, I ordered my normal size, and they fit perfectly.
I got these to help me with my walking plan. They are very comfortable while also walking, easy to keep clean.
