Die Dokumentenkamera ist schnell aufgebaut und nimmt weniger Platz ein, als wir gedacht haben. Die verwendeten Materialien sind wertig und das Ganze wirkt im montierten Zustand robust, drfte unserer Meinung nach also lange halten.
Die Bedienung erfolgt durch Drcken der Knpfe, das Licht ist ausreichend hell und die Auflsung der Fotos bzw. Videos ist absolut okay (ob das jetzt 4K ist kann ich aber leider nicht sagen, man sieht auf jeden Fall alles schn scharf).
Insgesamt finden wir diesen “modernen Overhead” ziemlich gut, vor allem, wenn man dickere oder wertvollere Bcher scannen mchte und Schulungen abhlt.
Kaufempfehlung unsererseits und die volle Sternzahl, wir konnten nichts Negatives entdecken.
This camera folds up nicely and is compact and lightweight, but when you get it folded out would be great for showing documents in meetings. The light is bright enough to make the picture show better. You could use it with the stand as a webcam. It did test it on a stuffed animal, and you can see the detail of the fur nicely, along with accurate color. Good camera for mobile use or light document use.
Ich kenne solche Dokumentenkameras aus der Uni und fand, dass diese auch im spteren Arbeitsleben superpraktisch sind. Daher habe ich mich fr dieses Produkt hier entschieden.
Hier wird eine Dokumentenkamera mit 12MP geliefert. Diese macht einen soliden und hochwertigen Eindruck. An meinem Laptop mit Windows 10 ist die Kamera sofort erkannt worden und man konnte sie danach automatisch berall nutzen, wo sie nutzbar ist (z.B. Drucker, Webcam). Mithilfe eines normalen USB-Kabels wird die Kamera betrieben. Sie nimmt einen Bereich von ca. Din A4 (etwas grer) auf. Die Aufnahmen sind sehr gut und scharf. Praktisch finde ich auch das zustzliche Licht, wodurch auch bei schlechten Lichtverhltnissen ein gutes Bild aufgenommen wird. Das Licht kann an der Oberseite mit einem Knopf an und ausgeschaltet werden. Neben diesem Knopf befindet sich auch der Button fr den Fokus und den Zoom. Zustzlich gibt einen Scan Modus fr Dokumente und Kameramodus fr einen selbst. Ich habe diese Kamera nun mehrere Wochen genutzt und bin mehr als zufrieden.

I addition to some other face-to-face applications, I use cameras in conjunction with mentoring others in Amateur Radio.
I have several cameras for various applications, including a Sony, Canon, and GoPro, I can use with the computer. I wanted a camera to show material from a book, my hand drawn illustrations, and demonstarions of varous objects. I purchased this product mainly for desktop use. I use Windows operating systems.
It was initially a little finicky getting the driver working. It has some nice features:
1. The articulating arm helps get the camera in a good position.
2. The head is hinged to help get the image straight.
3. It has an itegrated LED light.
4. It has several levels of magnification so the image can be enlarged without moving the head.
5. There is a focus button that can be used as needed.
6. The image will rotate as you move the camera to keep the view upright.
It could be better…
1. The base is not heavy enough to support the camera when fully extended. I use a weight on the base to keep it from tilting and also to keep it steadier..
2. Sometimes, it takes a bit of tweaking to get the image orientation correct. There is a button on the side to flip the image but you also have to get the camera in the correct orientation for the image to appear upright.
3. The LED light is either on or off. Most of the time, I don’t use the light because it is too bright. I may need some light but the LED will wash it out. The camera has some light balance capability so it tries to get it right and most of the time, it is OK without the LED. A dimmer on the LED, maybe a wheel on the side of the head, or a multiple level LED brightness , low, medium, high, would help.
4. This could be more useful if the head could be removed and connected to a clip or even a magnet, or head band. The would make the camera much more useful.
5. The buttons are on the camera head. It is impossible to use the buttons without moving the camera head. Using the magnification feature, for example, always results in a need to reposition the head. The same goes for the led, focus, and orientation buttons.
It is getting the job done.
This mini document camera is pretty handy for taking pictures of documents or objects but it’s probably a stretch to use it as a webcam. It basically functions like the old school classroom projectors did. Put something under it and it displays it on a screen. You can take a picture if needed. My only complaint is the control and command buttons are located on the top camera unit. It’s pretty easy to move and just pushing them will move the camera head if you don’t hold it. I wish they had put them on the base instead.
Very easy to use, and the picture quality is immaculate. Has saved me a lot of time from scanning and uploading documents onto Google slides
I am visually impaired so being able to adjust my brightness easily is very important. Does OKIOLABS have a device with better accessibility and that will read the document? I use my device as my eyes so thank you.

This is a wonderful device, when combined with a projector, for reading children’s books to a group and showing kids the words and pictures.
Children’s books are great to read with your own kids, one on one or even one with two. They don’t work so well with groups. The document camera makes something close to the same intimacy possible.
Recommended for every library and bookstores that hold reading hours.
Die Bild- und Videoqualitt ist wirklich ordentlich dank der 12MP Auflsung und der 4K Untersttzung. Das integrierte LED-Licht und das Mikrofon sind ntzliche Funktionen, die es mir ermglichen, meine Prsentationen und Online-Unterrichtsstunden klar und deutlich zu bertragen. Ich finde es auch sehr praktisch, dass eine Tragetasche und ein Typ-C-Adapter im Lieferumfang enthalten sind. Insgesamt eine leistungsstarke Cam – 5 Sterne.
It’s obvious this camera is designed to primarily be used to scan documents or projects items on a screen or show in meetings. It can also be used as a regular webcam for meetings like Zoom. It’s fantastic for the first task, and really not good at all for video meetings.
The design of this camera is different than your typical webcam. It has a really nice base with a folding arm that also extends. The arm has small round sliders with slots to keep the cable nice and neat. There are also 4 hardware buttons to do things like turn the light on and off, focus, zoom, and snap a picture. The base is weighted and very steady. It you want to display a small item sitting on your desk, this camera is perfect. It also picks up text of documents really well.
It also comes with a zipper carrying case if you want to transport it to other locations or just store it in a nice case.
Now for the tradeoff. The base and arm can be positioned so the camera is facing towards you and you can use it as a traditional webcam. The base works really well and holds the camera better than the mounts on most other webcams. The problem is the default settings of the camera. They are optimized for viewing printed documents. So the brightness and contrast are set very high. Your face on the webcam will look terrible. I uploaded a photo of my have on my desk to show how over exposed it is using the default settings. They have an app that allows you to change the settings and get more reasonable video settings, but they are not retained. You would have to change the settings every time you use the camera.
I’m still giving this camera 4 out of 5 stars because it’s really good at it’s primary design feature. I took off one star because it’s not an all-in-one solution if you wanted it to also use for video meetings. You would be better off using this camera for documents and get another video camera for video meetings.

Recording in 4K: I had the same issue where I couldn’t find how to record in 4K on the Okiolabs software, but I contacted their support team and they told me that they recently updated a new version of their software which allows 4K recording.
Recording area definitely covers A4/letter size: You just need to extend the camera.
Video quality: I tested it out by recording 1080p and 4K videos on my desk, which has decent lighting, and the video quality looks superb. They’re definitely much better than the quality you get from built-in laptop cameras or cheaper webcams. Though under low light, I could see some video noise, which is to be expected of any webcam. I’d recommend using the camera in good lighting for the best 4K results.
Depth of field: I saw a few people mentioning this in the reviews and I think it’s quite impossible that objects on the desk are so far from each other that the camera wouldn’t be able to focus sharply due to depth of field. What I think is likely the cause of the image being out of focus is if you moved the camera when pressing the focus button, or if you accidentally moved the object you’re trying to focus on while focusing. It happened to me once and I just pressed the focus button one more time and the image became sharp. Nothing a few extra clicks can’t fix if it happens to you.
Software: You can download the software on their website, which is free, and there are many apps that serve different purposes to choose from. But the camera also works with other commonly used software like Zoom, Teams, and OBS.
Conclusion: I’ve been using this camera to record videos and occasionally for online meetings, and I have been very happy with the video quality and solid build of the product. It feels heavy in your hands and overall feels like a high quality product, so I think it’s worth the price for professionals who will be using it regularly!

This is a document camera that connects to your computer and appears in Zoom and other video apps as a second webcam. It’s ideal for someone who is working remotely to teach an online course or producing training materials, as it aims down at a table and clearly shows the contents of a document or of objects on the table. If you were demonstrating a science experiment or producing a YouTube video about a craft, this would be ideal.
The focal length of this camera is fairly specific to the stand it comes with. I initially intended to mount it a little higher than the stand holds it at, and that didn’t turn out to be a great idea: at three feet off the surface, everything in the field of view is a little blurry. I wish this was a bit more adjustable like a phone camera is. It works fine at lower heights, and I think most people will use the stand; I just happened to have a desk setup with the perfect shelving overhead to ziptie this to, and I was a little disappointed I couldn’t get a broader view to be clear.
By extension, this means this is a document camera only. Don’t plan on this being both your webcam to broadcast your and your surface camera: it really should be focused on the document, and you’ll want a separate camera aimed at your face.
That aside, everything else about this is great: the camera is crisp and clear once positioned the right height from the surface, the 4k quality allows text to be visible, and I didn’t even need to install any drivers for Windows to detect it. I’d definitely recommend this camera to anyone who is looking to create online instructional content!

This is a really excellent 4K visuliaser and webcam. A touch steep at 129, but the quality it excellent and it works really well.
If you want you can use this for Zoom or Teams’ meetings, but it seems a little OTT to use something like this for such a mundane task.
It comes into it’s own as a visualiser. It looks like one of those metal adjustable desk lamps and is really easy to use using the app. It’s a bit like one of those overhead projectors where someone can place a document on a surface and show it to a room of people in a meeting or via a PC over the internet.
I do music tuition in my workplace and I use this not for documents, but for showing a synthesiser and midi keyboard from above on a large screen. My student can see exactly what I’m doing without them all crowding around me in a small space. Works well. Despite this being 4K, it’s not a fantastic quality image, but good enough for my purposes.
Useful, works well, if a tad pricey. Recommended though.
This has multiple uses but Ive only used it in a limited way thus far. Has good quality picture and is very functional for sharing documents in meetings where a powerpoint is not viable. Its a little pricy I think but does have a nice visual appeal when leaving it out on my desk. I plan to use this for a variety of tasks beyond my WebEx meetings. YouTube here I come lol. Overall very happy with it.
It is definetly a 4k camera, granted I struggled trying to figure out why my computer wouldnt find it, but it miraculously worked. The video quality is good and so it the picture quality. the buttons are annoying since the camera also moves with it but with time you’ll get used to it. I just wish it was 60 fps, not even lowering the resolution does it give me an option.
I’ve used this as a webcam; I’ve used it as an erzatz microscope (had some really tiny writing that my eyes just couldn’t make out) and I’ve used it as a document “scanner” and it’s performed extremely well in all categories. The PC interface makes things that much more simple and the different angles you can capture with the webcam make this a very unique tool.
It is a good camera, but switching from doc cam to personal camera is a little bit of a task and must be done off camera.
That being said, my need is for a document camera not a personal camera. I am a teacher and though I could put in aa request for one getting one from Amazon is a lot quicker and less red tape.

Ich bestellte mir diese USB Kamera, um Dinge einzuscannen, die durch ihre Bau- bzw. Machart bedingt, nicht fr das Scannen auf einem Vorlagenglas geeignet sind, wie beispielsweise dreidimensionale Objekte, dicke Bcher usw..
Auerdem lsst sie sich auch als Webcam nutzen.
Die Kamera wird in einem unscheinbaren Karton geliefert dessen Innenleben aus Pappmaschee Formteilen besteht und das Produkt optimal schtzt. Leider wurde alles, wie immer in Kunststofftten verpackt, anstatt es in Papier einzuwickeln.
Der Fu des Artikels besteht aus Kunststoff und beherbergt ein Metallgewicht, dass fr die ntige Standfestigkeit sorgt. Um den Untergrund vor Kratzern zu schtzen ist der Boden mit einem Rutschhemmenden Gummi versehen.
An der Beweglichkeit des Kunststoffarms und des Kamerakopfes gibt es nichts zu bemngeln.
Ob die Materialauswahl fr dieses Ding die richtige war, wird uns die Zeit noch verraten.
Ein nettes Kabelmanagement sorgt fr Ordnung unter der Linse und das Ende des ca. 1,4 Meter langen Kabels ist mit einem USB A Stecker versehen. Das andere Ende ist leider fest mit dem Kamerakopf verbunden. Dies wurde schon von anderen bemngelt, da ein Kabelbruch an dieser Stelle vorprogrammiert ist und eine Reparatur bei genauerer Betrachtung aussichtslos erscheint.
Ein Adapter von USB A auf USB C ist auch noch im Lieferumfang enthalten.
Am Kamerakopf befinden sich auf der Oberseite jeweils ein Knopf zum Fokussieren, zum zoomen und um die Beleuchtung zu aktivieren. Auf der Unterseite findet man das Objektiv, die LED und das Mikrofon.
Eine leicht gepolsterte Aufbewahrungstasche rundet den Lieferumfang ab.
Aber um das Ding vernnftig zu betreiben sollte man sich folgende Programme von der OKIOLABS Seite herunterladen.
OKIOLABS Camera Control
Mit diesem Programm lassen sich zwar keine Fotos oder Videos aufnehmen, aber trotzdem ist es wichtig und zwar so sehr, dass es bei allen anderen Programmen immer mit geffnet werden sollte, denn es dient der Kamerasteuerung. Hier hat man Zugriff auf Belichtung, Weiabgleich, Fokus, Farbsttigung, Helligkeit, Kontrast, Schrfe, Farbton und Gamma. Auerdem kann man hier die Netzfrequenz auswhlen: entweder 50Hz (PAL) oder 60Hz (NTSC). Das Ganze nennt sich hier Anti-Flimmern”.
Natrlich lsst sich auch ein Vorschaufenster einblenden um die nderungen der Parameter zu beobachten. Das Bild lsst sich hier auch zoomen und den Bildausschnitt kann man mit der Maus verschieben, da es ja kein optischer, sondern nur ein Digitalzoom ist und der Sensor immer noch das komplette Motiv einfngt.
Wenn man nun eins von den anderen Programmen startet, sollte man das Vorschaufenster schlieen (nicht das Programm), denn sonst kommen sich die Bildfenster evtl. in die Quere und alles funktioniert nicht richtig.
OKIOLABS Snapshot and Recorder
Hiermit lassen sich, wie die Bezeichnung schon erahnen lsst, Fotos und Videos erstellen, oder es lsst sich einfach nur ein Livebild anzeigen. Mit einem Beamer lsst sich sicherlich eine grere Gruppe von Zuschauern bespaen.
Von hier aus lsst sich das Livebild vertikal Spiegeln, zoomen, gegen oder mit dem Uhrzeigersinn in 90 Schritten drehen, die Belichtung ndern, das Bild einfrieren und fokussieren.
In den Einstellungen findet man einen Kamerabrowser, verschiedene Auflsungen (bis 4K), Ton fr Fokus, Bibliotheksordner, Sprache und Flimmerreduzierung.
Fr Videos: Seitenverhltnis, Qualitt (max. HD), Mikrofonbrowser und der Regler fr die Mikrofonlautstrke.
Zu guter Letzt ein Auslse Timer.
Von der Bildebene hat man auch direkten zugriff auf die Aufzeichnungen, in dem der Review-Modus unten rechts in der Ecke angeklickt wird. Hier kann man sich Fotos und Videos noch einmal ansehen oder lschen.
OKIOLABS Time-Lapse
Dieses Programm ist fr das erstellen von Zeitraffer aufnahmen vorgesehen. Die Benutzeroberflche ist fast die gleiche wie beim Programm zuvor und die Einstellungen sind reduziert, was sicherlich daran liegt, dass hier nur Videos aufgezeichnet werden.
Es lassen sich unterschiedliche Abspielgeschwindigkeiten einstellen und das Ganze kann man noch mit einer Auswahl von Musikstcken untermalen, oder Benutzerdefinierte Musik einspielen bevor der Videoclip gespeichert wird.
OKIOLABS Stop Motion
Dieses Programm macht jetzt aber richtig Spa, denn hiermit lassen sich kleine Animationsfilme produzieren. Die Benutzeroberflche sieht wieder fast genauso aus wie die beiden Programme zuvor, aber oben links befindet sich noch ein Knopf der sich Onion Skinning” nennt. Wenn dieser aktiviert ist wird die Position das zu animierende Teils des letzten Bildes angezeigt und man bewegt dieses Teil jetzt ein kleines Stck weiter und macht das nchste Foto und so weiter und sofort. Wenn man alle Bilder gemacht hat muss man nur noch auswhlen mit wie vielen Bildern pro Sekunde der Clip abgespielt wird. 25 Bilder pro Sekunde ist bei uns blich und fr eine Minute Film muss man dann 1500 Bilder aufnehmen. Zum Schluss den Clip noch zum Abschluss bringen und Abspeichern.
OKIOLABS Mirroor Image Corrector
Dieses Programm habe ich nicht heruntergeladen, denn diese Software ntigt einen, Google zu installieren und ich habe diesen Schnffel Browser erst krzlich deinstalliert und ihn aus der Registry entfernt. Allerdings ist mir das auch egal, denn diese App kann das Bild nur Spiegeln und so wie es aussieht bentigt man dieses Programm nur fr Google Meet” ein Programm zur Onlinevideokonferenz.
Fazit:
Wer das Gert nutzen mchte wie es in der Artikelbeschreibung beschworen wird, der wird sicherlich damit zurecht kommen. Ich persnlich finde das Livebild der Kamera grenzwertig. Klickt man aber den Auslser an und betrachtet anschlieend das Foto, sieht die Sache schon ganz anders aus und die Bilder sind ganz okay. Natrlich wird man damit keinen Preis gewinnen, aber dafr ist diese Kamera auch nicht gedacht.
Wenn man die ganzen kleine Macken aufaddiert, wie die Kabelverbindung am Kamerakopf, die Materialauswahl fr den Gelenkarm, die lieblose Bedienungsanleitung und zu guter Letzt der Preis von derzeit 149,00, denn es ist nur eine kleine Kamera und kein Smartphone, dann wrde ich am liebsten nur drei Sterne vergeben, aber weil ich mit dem Ding so viel Spa hatte und auch noch habe gebe ich noch einen Stern wieder dazu.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this camera. Very solid build and easy to store. It folds up very nicely and is compact and easily stored. I use this camera for documents but it’s great for teleconferencing too!. I don’t have any complaints and very happy so far. It is a high end device hence the price but I think it’s worth it for professionals and serious users.
I am a medium, so I pull cards for clients and this will be really nice to have set up to show card pulls. Also really great for doing reviews of products and general videos calls. It is small and compact and comes with a nice little zipper bag. Seriously, it folds completely flat and compact, I can’t get over how pocket sized and workable this is. There’s also (last photo) a nice place to tuck the cord so it is not dangling in the shot. The base is quite solid and heavy so no tipping. I love this thing!

Die Okiolabs Okiocam S2 Pro ist ein Zwitter aus Webcam und Scanner.
Das gert ist insgesamt sauber verarbeitet, wirkt stabil und drfte bei vorschriftsmigem Einsatz und pfleglicher Behandlung lange halten.
Einzig die Kabelfhrung ist eine Katastrophe! – Die wurde von einem Debilen entworfen. Das Kabel geht am Kamerakopf nach oben ab und es gibt hier keine Steckverbindung (obwohl genau hier eine hinmsste, damit man das Kabel abnehmen kann). Wenn es auf Dauer zu einem Kabelbruch kommen wird, dann genau hier. Das WIRD frher oder spter der Fall sein. Davon abgesehen ist die Verarbeitung in Ordnung. Der verwendete Kunststoff ist hochwertig und im Fu befindet sich ein Gewicht, das fr die erforderliche Standfestigkeit sorgt.
Die Software gibt es leider nur als Download auf der Herstellerseite und auch nur fr MAC OS und Windows. Fr Linux gibt es keine Software (evtl. funktioniert es mit einem Hilfsprogramm)! Ich kann nur raten, die Programme allesamt herunterzuladen und zu sichern, fr den Fall dass der Hersteller die Bereitstellung einstellt.
Die Installation ist in meinem Fall unter Windoof 11 erst im zweiten Anlauf gelungen, nachdem zuvor schon die eigentliche Erkennung etwas holprig vonstatten gegangen war.
Im Betrieb schlgt sich die Kamera berraschend gut.
Sie kann als Webcam, normale” Kamera (z.B. fr Reparaturvideos, Produktvorstellungen sowie -bewertungen) und als Dokumentscanner benutzt werden. Ich nutze sie bevorzugt fr Letzteres, weil sich so gut auch groe, schwere Bcher scannen lassen, die die Kapazitt gngiger Flachbettscanner bersteigen.
Eine zuschaltbare LED-Lampe sorgt bei Bedarf fr gute Ausleuchtung. Ein eingebautes Mikrofon ergnzt das Ganze.
Bei Nichtgebrauch lsst sich die Kamera klein zusammenklappen und im mitgelieferten Mppchen platzsparend verstauen.
Insgesamt ist diese Kamera ein empfehlenswertes, vielseitiges und durchdachtes Gert.
Die ungnstige Kabelfhrung und die nicht vorhandene Software fr Linux fhren zu Abwertung.

Absolutely premium build quality on this product and folds down to virtually flat allowing for total portability in the supplied case. Fits perfectly into my laptop case pocket with very little bulge. Would be very useful for a creator of art or as a business tool or even as a projector for teaching, you name it!
I am using it as a webcam, straight and simple, as the Okiocams camera quality trumps anything my laptop can offer however in the future this product may become more useful to myself.
The complimenting software available via the Okiolabs website works incredibly well and is fully intuitive, the buttons on the camera do take a little getting used to finding without looking at the unit but after a few uses muscle memory takes over.
Really enjoying using this device…it makes an excellent webcam and I have absolutely no reservations about it…well done OKIOLABS

Die OKIOLABS OKIOCAM S2 ist eine Dokumentenkamera, d.h. man kann damit Papiere, Dokumente etc. damit so abfotografieren, als wrden sie eingescannt. Anders als beim blichen Scanner, kann man die Kamera aber auch gut fr andere Dinge verwenden, bspw. fr Videokonferenzen.
Die Kamera wird in einem stabilen Karton geliefert, der erstmal erstaunlich klein ausfllt. Das liegt daran, dass die Kamera klein ist, das zugehrige Stativ sich jedoch komplett zusammenfalten lsst. Es liegt sogar eine passende Transport- und Aufbewahrungstasche bei, mit der man das Gert vor Staub und andere Umwelteinflsse schtzen kann, whrend man es nicht benutzt.
Die Installation ist denkbar einfach, die Kamera kann an einen USB-A-Port angeschlossen werden, mit einem beiliegenden Adapter auch an einen USB-C-Port. Mehr ist nicht zu tun, sie taucht (zumindest bei meinem Mac) direkt in den einschlgigen Programmen, wie bspw. Zoom auf. Die Kamera verfgt aber ber einige Spezialfunktionen, die sich smtlich ber Tasten an der Kamera steuern lassen. Man kann das Bild spiegeln, verschiedene (digitale) Zoomstufen einstellen und das kleine eingebaute Kameralicht ein- bzw. ausschalten. Um allerdings alle Funktionen, vor allem auch zum Einscannen von Dokumenten nutzen zu knnen, muss man die zur Kamera gehrige Software installieren, die zwar nicht beiliegt, aber von der Website des Herstellers geladen werden kann.
Fr die Aufgabe des Dokumentescannens, ist die Kamera mit einem besonderen Stativ ausgestattet, das es erlaubt, die Kamera ber einem auf dem Tisch liegenden Dokument horizontal aufzustellen. Dazu kann der Stativarm aus Metall an zwei Gelenken geknickt werden, die Kamera selbst sitzt an einem weiteren ausfahrbaren Arm. Zwei Gelenke am Ende des Kameraarms ermglichen, dass sich die Kamera in einem 270 Grad-Radius neigen und in einem 320 Grad Radiun verdrehen lsst, womit sich Kamera hervorragend an das Motiv anpassen lsst.
Zusammengefasst macht die OKIOLABS OKIOCAM S2 einen sehr guten Eindruck, sie ist klein, transportabel und robust. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhltnis ist in Ordnung, solange man sie wirklich fr das Dokumentescannen einsetzt, nur fr Videokonferenzen kann man gnstigere Modelle bekommen. Aber man kann sie eben auch dafr einsetzen. Und mit der mitgelieferten Software, lassen sich auch noch andere Dinge damit anstellen. Allein die Tonqualitt des eingebauten Mikrofons hat mir nicht gefallen.
Very easy to set up and get running. I have tested this out on my iMac and my MacBook Pro. First, I just want to get out of the way a couple of very minor negative issues. I personally found the LED light not quite bright enough, but it wasn’t bad by any stretch of the imagination. I also thought the picture quality wasn’t quite as sharp as I would hope for, but by no means was it terrible. That said, I still think the review warrants 4 stars which are worthy of a recommendation to you.
Beyond those issues, the visualiser is very easy to set up. Has been designed and manufactured to a high standard. The instructions are simple, yet easy to follow. Once plugged into my Mac, the software was quick to download and install. Your mouse then effectively becomes the control for the visualiser and webcam. I haven’t used all the features as there are so many. For example, there is some stop-motion functionality, that my son is keen to try with Lego.
I think if you are a teacher of fine art, graphic design, electronics, etc., then this could be a very handy item to own. It works with Microsoft Teams and Collaborate on Blackboard VTE if you use those.
This is a sturdy little gadget that enables you to display items onto your laptop via the visualizer.
You plug it into your laptop and download the app and supposedly away you go.
The picture quality is not the best but is sufficient for the purposes and you can adjust the picture settings as desired.
Unfortunately I have been unable to get it to display full screen despite reading the instructions on the app – they would only tell me how to view in preview mode which is whatcive shown on the video.
I have spent about half an hour trying to get this to work – probably something very simple but it should be easier.
I will try again another time to see if I have more success and will update the review then.
Ok, well this is a bit of a specialised item. If you only want a webcam then this would be a rather overpriced and unnecessary choice. However, for regular group meetings, zoom events, lectures, displays, presentations, demonstrations and education purposes then I can see that this camera and adjustable stand from Okiolabs would certainly be a useful piece of kit.
It is very well designed and built, made from premium materials, it feels sturdy and durable. The stand and base have a nice weight and the multi-position adjustable arm and camera stay exactly where they are positioned. Various buttons on the camera control the LED light, the focus and the orientation etc., and some of these functions can also be remotely controlled from the software.
Note that this camera can only be used with Okiolabs software on a Windows PC, Mac or Chromebook. It can not be used by directly plugging it into a projector, TV, mobile phone, android or ios tablet etc.
The free Okiolabs software is easily and quickly downloaded from their website. The three main software apps allow the operation of the camera for; 1) – capturing or creating still pictures (snapshots) and video, 2) – creating stop-motion animated videos, and 3) – creating time-lapse videos. The software is easy to use and is actually quite fun to play around with. These tools are obviously very useful for teachers and presenters.
Negatives:
1. It seems that videos can only be saved as .webm format files which cannot be readily imported to most current video editors without first converting them to a more common format.
2. Despite being capable of 4K, I have not so far been overly impressed with the video quality, though this may well be down to my poor setup, lighting, focusing and my general lack of experience with the device.
3. The USB cable could be longer (I had to use a USB extension).
4. Price.
I use the camera to film doing nails. The camera has an attached stand that gives a good angle above my desk to film and the adjustable arm can be moved around to give a better filming area. The camera also takes still photos and the company has a nice program to help fine tune video and photo taken with the the camera. The setup was quick and easy and it stores easily on your desk and folds down almost flat. The actual camera has a flash and buttons to flip the image and zoom in and out. I love that I have something so easy to use to film and takes most of the headache out of the filming process.

Ich habe die OKIOCAM S2 Pro zum testen erhalten.
Im Paket enthalten ist:
Die Kamera,
eine Bedienungsanleitung,
ein USB A zu USB C Adapter und
eine Transporttasche
An meinem Windows 10 Rechner wurde die Kamera direkt nach dem einstecken in den USB Port erkannt und hat sich von selber installiert.
Direkt im Anschluss wird diese als Webcam; Audiogert und Eingabegert in den Gerten und Drucker Einstellungen des PCs angezeigt.
Als Datenschnittstelle und Stromversorgung wird hier ein USB A Port verwendet.
Nicht so gut gelst finde ich, dass der USB Port mit dem Kabel fest an der Kamera verbunden ist.
Dies bringt einmal Bruchgefahr beim Transport, als auch eine fehlende Mglichkeit des Austausches bei defekt mit sich.
Das kann man bei einem derzeitigen Preis von knappen 150 (11/2022) durchaus besser lsen.
Die Bedienungsanleitung ist eigentlich nur eine Kurzanleitung zum Umgang mit der Kamera.
Ich htte mir gewnscht, dass die technischen Details der Kamera auch hier zum nachlesen mit aufgefhrt werden.
Wer also mehr infos dazu haben mchte, kann lediglich auf der Herstellerseite danach suchen.
Eine Ausfhrliche Bedienungsanleitung gibt es aber auch hier nicht.
Verbaut ist eine 12 MP Kamera weshalb die Artikelbeschreibung nicht ganz richtig ist (Artikelbeschreibung: 13MP Sony CMOS Sensor).
Die Auflsung betrgt: 3840 x 3104 / 3840 x 2160,
die maximale Erfassungsgre DIN A4, der maximale Aufnahmebereich ca. 34,54 cm X 28 (ca. da nur in Inch angegeben)
Zum Stromverbrauch werden keine Angaben gemacht, da der Betrieb aber per USB wefolgt ist anzunehmen, dass diese mit 5V/2A also ca 10 Watt arbeitet.
Im Gegensatz zu der normalen Version hat die Pro eine hhere Auflsung, sowie zustzlich ein LED Licht und einen verlustfreien Sensorzoom (LSZ),
kostet dafr derzeit aber auch 40 mehr.
Mae:
Die Basis hat die Mae 9,1 cm Lnge, 7,1 cm Breite und 1,6 cm Hhe.
Die Kabellnge betrgt 146 cm.
Das Gesamtgewicht etwa 416 Gramm.
Die Kamera ist in Ihrer Nutzung gut und einfach. Je nach Einstellung knnen Bilder in sehr guter Qualitt gescannt
oder als Videoaufnahme abgespeichert werden. Auch Prsentationen, Videokonferenzen oder das aufnehmen von Schulungen ist damit kein Problem.
Sonstiges:
Oben an der Kamera befinden sich 3 Tasten:
Licht zum hinzuschalten der LED, Fokus sowie eine Zoomtaste.
An der Seite befindet sich eine Modus Taste um zwischen den Kameramodi zu switchen.
Im Kameramodus zeigt das Bild auf einen selber, im Scannmode auf das zu scannende Dokument, daher ist der Switch notwendig.
Durch die Bettigung wird also das Bild um 180 Grad gedreht.
An der Unterseite befinden sich dann die Kameralinse, die LED und das Mikro.
Gut gelst ist die Kabelfhrung die ber die Kabelklemmen nie im Weg ist, sondern am Kameraarm direkt befestigt werden kann.
Zustzlich lsst sich der Kameraarm durch den ausziehbaren Verlngerungsarm auf eine Gesamtlnge von 36 cm ausfahren.
Fazit:
Die OKIOCAM S2 Pro ist eine gute und im Einsatz vielseitige Kamera.
Lediglich das fest verbundene Kabel an der Kamera bereitet mir in Sachen Langlebigkeit – aufgrund auch beim Transport mglicher Kabelbrche – etwas sorgen.
Da sollte man das Kabel schon abnehmen und bei defekt auch ersetzen knnen, was hier ohne weiteres aber nicht mglich ist.
Zudem ist die Kamera mit knappen 150 jetzt nicht wirklich ein Schnapper in Sachen Webcam, auch wenn alles soweit sehr gut und einfach funktioniert.
I often lead virtual classrooms or team meetings, and this camera is excellent as a desktop or portable option for virtual instruction & presentations. The body of the camera and stand is very sturdy with a heavy base that can support the camera at a large variety of angles. The camera can function as a document camera for instruction or as a webcam. It comes with a bag for portability which is a nice touch. The set up was super intuitive and easy. Two things I really like are the LED light to help with image clarity and the extendable boom to get just the right angle. I highly recommend this item and would buy it again.
This visualiser has been an absolute godsend in my classroom. We now have smart TVs which we mirror onto with our Macbook Pros for teaching, and the school got rid of the old (cumbersome and defunct) visualisers a few years ago.
This visualiser by OKIOLABS (I am reviewing the OKIOCAM S2 Pro version) is incredibly easy to use. It’s compact and easy to carry from class to class as well. It comes in a simple cardboard box and folds down flat. It also comes with a zip-up soft case and USBc converter (it has a standard USB connector on its cable).
You need to go to the website to download the software (Windows or Mac) for your device. This ease easy and once installed (quick) the camera software opens as shown in my short clip. You can zoom in and out with your mouse, the control panel or one of the buttons on top of the camera. It has a light that can also be switched on and off. The image can also be flipped at the touch of the other button (or the control panel on the software. The picture can be tweaked using one of the many menu options too (colour, brightness etc.)
The image quality is fabulous. I am using it mainly to show and edit children’s work in so that the whole class can see, and also modelling close detail to them. It’s perfect for this!
The camera can also be used for conference video calls and I can see how this would be far better than just using a laptop’s buit-in webcam as it can be positioned wherever you want.
The camera is currently selling at a Prime price of 129 which I think reflects its value. It’s an excellent camera and I highly recommend it!
This camera is really good. Picture quality is clear and precise. Used this to show my sister how to make a dish and it was easy to angle as need be. It was easier to use than a std tablet camera as I was able to angle this close enough to my chopping board and pot to show method correctly. It is pricey but worth it if you are into creative stuff or teach from home.

I have two big complaints about the device. Firstly, the connector usb cable is cheaply done and has been permanently connected to the camera. It would have been nice to have a micro usb cable that disconnects from the camera, as cables are cheap, fray easily, and can be easily replaced to extend the longevity of a quality electronic. Secondly, I think the camera shows my documents really well, but it has a really hard time accurately showing human faces. I tried several times, but my face was always lit hot, and very little contrast/too blurry appearances to make it seem like a HD camera. Could be user error, but I doubt it. Which means I’ll probably still have to use my regular webcam for Zoom meetings, which I really didn’t want to do.
Beim ersten Auspacken war ich schon berrascht, wie kompakt und vergleichsweise schwer die Kamera ist. Einmal ausgeklappt, lsst sich die Kamera gut als Dokumentenkamera und / oder als Webcam (integriertes Mikrofon) verwenden. Fr mich war in erster Linie die Funktion als Dokumentenkamera interessant. Dies funktioniert sehr gut, wenn die entsprechenden Apps (kostenfrei) zur Kamera installiert sind. Getestet habe ich bzw. ich verwende die Kamera mit macOS Ventura. Einziger Nachteil: mit iPhone und Mac gibt es neuerdings die Funktionen auch. Hier sollten sich Mac-User fragen, ob die Investition in die Kamera notwenig ist. Ich sehe es jedoch als Komfort und nutze die Okiocam gerne.

Zuerst dachte ich ja, dass sei eben nur ne normale Webcam, aber die Aufnahmen die ich zum einen von meinem Mousepad und zum einen aus der Beschreibung gemacht habe, beweisen eindeutig das Gegenteil, die Beschreibung ist in einem Abstand von ca. 3 cm gemacht worden, das Mousepad ungefhr 12-15 cm Entfernung, knackscharf wie ich finde und Ausreichend um diese zu verschicken, zudem kann man alles in Echtzeit auf dem Notebook verfolgen und sogleich korrigieren
Der Scanner steht absolut Standfest und auch bei voller Ausladung sicher
Man mag ber den Preis von 150,- Euro streiten mgen (Stand 11,2022) aber ich denke er ist recht passendKlar gnstiger wre immer besser

Die Kamera mach t was sie soll, einfach handzuhaben. Auch als Webkamera sehr gut zu verwenden. Tolle Bildqualitt, herausragende Bildschrfe und Details.
Der Kamerakopf ist in der Lage, sich um 180 vertikal und horizontal zu drehen, somit ist alles aus jedem Winmkel aufnehmbar.
Mit integrierten LED-Licht und Mikrofon, eine Aufbewahrungstasche befindet sich ebenfalls im Lieferumfang

Die Dokumentenkamera OKICAM S2 Pro wurde von meinem Windows 10 Rechner sofort erkannt und auch direkt als Web-Cam angezeigt und konnte ohne Einschrnkungen verwendet werden. Durch einen Druck auf die Trkise Taste an der Seite wird das Bild um 180 gedreht ohne lstiges Suchen in den Einstellungen. Durch den ausziehbaren Arm und der Positionierung vor dem Monitor ist sogar Augenkontakt bei Video Calls mglich, was bei meinen Gesprchspartner sehr gut ankommt.
ber die Homepage der Kamera knnen verschiedene Dienstprogramme heruntergeladen werden, Hier knnen Unterrichts-Videos vorbereitet, Dokumente eingescannt oder mit dem Stop Motion Programm knnen sogar Zeichentrick Filme erstellt werden, wobei mit Onion Skinning die vorherige Position transparent dargestellt wird.
Die Bildqualitt ist hervorragend bei guter Beleuchtung, bei schwachem Licht ist die die Blende einfach zu klein um ausreichend Licht zu sammeln. Die eingebaute LED Leuchte wirkt zwar nicht sehr hell, reicht jedoch vllig aus um Dokumente ausreichend auszuleuchten und qualitativ hochwertige Bilder zu machen.
Es wird keine extra Stromversorgung bentigt, ein USB Anschluss (USB-C Adapter liegt bei) reicht vllig aus. Der Auf- und Abbau ist schnell erledigt und die kompakten Abmessungen von 22 x 12 cm im mitgelieferten Transportbeutel erlauben das Gert noch in der Notebooktasche zu transportieren.

Very stable connection, great speed. It is projecting very natural and clear picture. Compatible and easy to use. I can recommend it!
The stand is pretty stable, easy to adjust the heights and angles. It is like a mini desk light with camera.
The camera itself if pretty good at 4K, comes with LED and mic. ( However, I can only tried up to 1080HD on my ancient laptop )
This is just nice for the Teams meeting, handy for those on the spot notes or drafts.
The back buttons allow you to flip and zoom, also LED on/off, without getting to the program. Would be nice if the brightness can be adjusted too.
The cable should be better placed, ie: hidden coming in from the side rather than the back. Looks better and improve flexibility.
Can be folded flat and store into the included pouch.
Price wise, slightly steep at 129, could have gone a step up to cover A3.
I’m so impressed with this not only is it light weight and compact the quality is unbelievable, from the actual device itself to the picture quality and features, it’s so incredibly clear and detailed on screen I’m amazed, definitely worth every penny, my old one cost way more and I did think that it had a good picture etc until I used this, I’m very happy with it and would highly recommend this to anyone who uses them wether for work or personal, I honestly can’t rate it high enough
Very slick and minimalistic- ideal for an already congested desk. I use it when carrying out online tutoring. At first it was a nightmare to get into perspective, as the image would always appear the wrong way up when using teams. After a lot of fiddling about, I realised it needs to be used on the separate camera app on the desktop, which then needs to be screen shared.
To be fair to the item it does do what it sets out to do which is to show you on your laptop, screen monitor or on projector or online to a class of students your presentation and the main feature is the mobile camera and the fact that you can change at any point the position is one of the highlights.
The installation is not extremely complicated, all you need is to go on the website and download the main software which is very simple to use with the option to close up zoom and increase light.
It has an led light attached which you can turn on and off from the camera itself ..its made for highlighting documents definitely not to light up a dark room.
All in all, if you need a good camera for your presentations, training or teaching this will do the trick.
The OKIOLABS OKIOCAM S2 Pro 4K Document Camera and Webcam, as the name implies, have two functions: When facing you it works as a webcam and when flipped facing down it works as a document camera. The device works with video conferencing apps (Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet).
The unit is supper compact, lightweight and and very portable. Most of its weight is located on the platform, which keeps the device in place and stable, even if you move the arms or the camera.

plug it to a USB port and it is ready to work. The camera itself has a three buttons, a LED switch, zoom and focus buttons
This device comes with a USB-A connection, but they were thoughtful to include a USB-A to USB-C adapter to use with modern laptops and a MacBook, which only has USB-C ports.
When in document camera mode it displays clear content and it case you need a closeup, there is a zoom button to get closer to an object. Be aware that the zoom feature only works when the resolution is set to 2048×1536 or lower. Even at that resolution documents appear crisp and clear.
The device does well even in low light conditions and the included built-in LED light bright enough to light up documents properly in very low light conditions.
It could get very close to books, documents or small objects and its 4K quality appears neat when displayed on larger screens…very useful to students, colleagues or when in a conference.
The same is true when using this device as a webcam, the subject appears clear with very good video quality, which is great for apps like Zoom and Google Meet or even OBS (Open Broadcaster Software).
There are several apps available to download from the company website, that do provide some useful options. Since I already have video recording app, the only app I found useful was the OKIOCAM Camera Control, which allows to have a variety of controls that are not available on Windows or MacOS.
The app allows you to play with focus, brightness, exposure, white balance, contrast, sharpness, etc.
These changes could be saved on a profile, very useful and time saving option. since you could pull a profile with all your previously save options.
The OKIOLABS OKIOCAM S2 Pro 4K Document Camera and Webcam could replace both document camera and a webcam. Its has great portability, since it has a super slim design, great when you have to take on the road.
This is just the job, i run online quizzes and use this for a pictionary type round, the quality of the image is good, nice sharp colours and good lighting.
It all comes in a nice case along with good clear instructions. there is a website for further tecnical queries.

This OkioCam S2 Pro is a compact device that I’d liken in function to an overhead projector for your PC or other device. You can also use it as a webcam. The unit comes well presented in a box about the size of a box of tissues which includes the unit, a carry case plus connection leads and a well written/illustrated user guide with links to software if you need it. The unit in its case is the size of a large wallet and that includes the foldout stand.
I am a keen member of a model car forum and have used this Okiocam to show my latest acquisitions to other modellers. The picture quality is very high and it certainly lives up to its 1080P HD billing. The unit uses a Sony sensor which seems to prefer lighter conditions but the camera head includes LED lighting which is very handy. Colour and detail rendition is very good plus there’s an autofocus to optimise sharpness.
The included software is well designed and offers additional functionality such as recording, time lapse and motion control etc. I also fund the device integrates well with Zoom and Teams etc. The button controlled 4x digital zoom button is handy too plus it’s easy to rotate images etc. without reverting to software.
I rate this OkioCam as a real discovery for lots of online activity plus it’s much better than the average webcam. The build quality is good as is the supporting software and the unit occupies only a small footprint on your desk whilst delivering excellent picture/audio quality. This would be an invaluable product for schools, training centres and other learning activities as well as the home office.
This is such a great camera- I thought my current web camera was good until I plugged this one in- it’s so high def you could see the individual thread detail on my top. When I used it with the light it made me look really blue when I was closer to the camera but when I placed the camera behind my laptop this looked much better. The image remains really clear with no loss of quality when using the zoom function. It’s very compact, with two forward-backward hinges on the arm and another that flips the camera over, meaning you can get the camera to almost any angle. The base is very heavy and provides a great stable base.
Other than using it with another programme such as Skype or Zoom, you do need to install multiple different free programs for each way you want to use the camera- eg a stop motion program, a snapshot program, timelapse or camera control. This can be downloaded for windows or mac but unfortunately can’t be used with eg android devices. We have used the stop motion which was so easy to use.
I use it with my online tutor students.
The software was easy to download to my computer.
The adjustments are on top of the camera head.
It gets a wide range view for my needs.
The camera is clear however, when I record the light does dim a tad, but that’s an easy fix.
I just make sure to use it in a space with nice lighting.
It folds down and puts away easily.

Unpacking the document photographer/web cam I could see and feel how well designed it is.
The cable has a tie which is soft silicon.
The entire device folds down very small and there’s a neat bag for storage.
The instructions are extremely clear with lots of diagrams.
I thought I’d get it plugged in using the USB cable and give it a go on my PC (in the video I say, “I’m on my TV” but I’m not! It’s my PC monitor – I got overexcited.
I tried it as a webcam in my dark little corner where my PC lives – the light levels were really low and I didn’t switch on the light to brighten things although I could have. Really couldn’t believe how easy it is and there’s plenty of extra software to download from the manufacturer’s website. Stop motion video sounds fun.
This is so simply, so well made and well designed. It’s versatile and I recommend it very highly indeed for ease of use and excellent support website.
This visualiser integrates Sony 13MP CMOS sensor in 4K Ultra HD to provide a crystal-clear streaming ability in 1080p and 30FPS — anyone that has struggled with cheap web cameras and visualisers will notice and night and day difference in the picture quality with this product. I tested it out on some workbooks I am producing and wanted to give instructions on how to use them. The results were so good I realised that my nails were looking shabby, and I needed to redo them — nothing is hidden behind blur with this quality visualiser!
There is a very good feature that helps you provide a good quality output in dire lighting conditions. The bright LEDs give you a photoshoot-style lighting effect which means you can get an excellent result, wherever you are. This is particularly handy in old buildings, where video quality notoriously suffers due to poor lighting without some artificial help.
I was particularly impressed that there doesn’t seem to be any loss of quality when zooming in. This makes such a difference when you need to get in on the details. You can have the confidence to get right in there without having to mess about figuring out how far you can go without losing quality, so it is still intelligible — the autofocus allows to you to instantly get in focus and is as simple as pressing a button.
The flexible nature of this product allows you to get the perfect angle. The robust materials and sturdy feel reassure you that repetitive strain will not be an issue for it.
You can also adjust the settings regarding the contrast, colour and so forth — I was happy with the default but may make changes as I get more into using this remarkable tool.
It can handle documents over A4 — this gives amazing scope for a wide range of documents that makes this visualiser versatile.
Perhaps the best part is that is it so compact, you can easily take it anywhere.
Overall, a fantastic item. I wish I had tried it sooner. 100% recommended.
