I love you can stand up in this tent, ive been in it when it was hammering down with rain for 4 hours not a drop of rain inside, excellent tipi tent really love it.
Went away for 5 day in lake district in wind and rain In late November held up again all the rain and wind upto 40mph it was 3c at night and never dropped below 20c with a stove
Fitted me, my wife and two large dogs with the fog beds and my wife on a full size fishing bed comfortably with space to move about still
Great tent. Initially I bought the Smokey Hut, which was meant to accommodate two people, sadly it didn’t! I then bought the Rock Fortress which fits two people comfortably, no more though. It provided a lot more pegs than the Smokey Hut, the hole for the stove Jack is supplied, which is an extra cost for the Smokey Hut. The only drawback is there isn’t a groundsheet, none even available to buy as far as I know
Great hot tent, very easy to pitch, quality is superb not a stitch out of place, stood up to moderate wind and rain no problem, The weight whilst not light is compensated for by the palacial size when erected, had my thermarest xl cot, chair, stove, firewood, gear and dog in and could have fitted another 2 comfortably, 2 small negatives, the supplied stove jack has a pre cut hole which is enormous for my 60mm flue and leaves big gaps it would be better left uncut to suit individual needs, also the supplied pegs are fine for the guy lines but really not for the main body, I replaced these straight away, over all a fantastic hot tent and well worth the cash IMO.
I have used it 5 times now and each time it has been easy to put up and also easy to take down and re pack. The material seems reasonably strong and the zips are well made. Had a couple of small spark holes from using a stove but these have been repaired using clear gorilla tape which seem to be holding out. There’s plenty of space for 3 people without a stove and 2 people with the stove. Well worth watching a few videos on YouTube before you use first time.
Good height . Great having two doors . It would b better if it came with a net for a double Bedding area .
Set up on my own,up within 5minutes plenty of room brilliant ki
Love this tent but if it is more than a mild breeze you will need 2 people to put it up.
Absolutely love this tent, light, spacious, easy to put up.
I use it with two camp beds in it, I’ve also made a groundsheet from a large heavy duty tarpaulin which I cut to size for it.
Highly recommend
I haven’t yet camped out with the tent but have set up in my garden before I use it a couple of weeks time. I was surprised how light weight it was given it’s size. The materials used seem of good quality. I can’t wait to get out in i
Have this as a winter camping tent with a stove. Disappointing that two guys were missing. Emailed supplier and they said they would send them out but not arrived yet (4 weeks ago).
Tent is huge for the weight (no ground sheet though) Stood up to storm Arwen well especially once I got the snow skirts weighted down. Really warm with the stove on but as its a single wall construction condensation is a bit of a problem but manageable. Need to be really friendly of you sleep six and only 3 with a stove fitted great for two and masses of space for a single.
Might get some slightly larger pegs as they are a bit short for such a large canvas. OK if sheltered but would be prone to pulling out if at all exposed.
As someone who loves winter camping I’ve camped for years in varying weather conditions, rain, snow and wind with temperatures down minus 10c and enjoyed it all however the one tigress is a game changer in as much as I have a tent stove (outbacker) so no matter what the weather I can cook, keep warm, dry wet clothes, have my seat inside and be able to stand up and move around. I also usually take my dog and a friend and no matter what the weather ( one exception would be strong winds I wouldn’t use it in those conditions) we can spend hours inside with comfort.
fast post good if dry but not any good in the rain leaks bad even in a light rain and that’s with and with out a log burner in it would not recommend at all
A good size hot tent, it is perfectly sized for one person on a camp bed and the stove. You could put another person including the stove. However if no stove in and everyone was low down could sleep 4. 6 people as advertised would be too much of a squeeze.
I tested the tent this weekend and deliberately pitched it in the wind by my self. Was a little tricky I found to get the pegs in the right position , but once all in and I adjusted it, it was all good. At 4 in the morning it absolutely poured it down and in high wind. Was water tight and stable, I did have to get up to adjust the guy ropes as the rain had stretched the material a little bit but that is to be expected in the weather.
I do like that the pole bag goes over the central pole so you have hang points which I hung my lights from.
I would recommend this tent for two people.
