he sizes for certain pieces are pretty weird (when combined with the original case, some bits don’t fit as well). Nothing much else to say.
Color was a bit off. Other than that, great buy!
Everything is nice but please start labeling the parts or something because i have to replace my bottom screen and adhesive
Can see through it quite a bit but it looks very nice
I’m happy with this shell overall. I was going to buy one a bit cheaper straight from China, but wanted one in 2 days, rather than in a month. Not as nice as an original Nintendo shell, but that’s just how it is with aftermarket shells in general. Most annoying part of these installs, are getting the top screen ribbon cable routed back through the hinge section. You’ll need a knife (or preferably razor) to clean out the slit for the cable, as it had some plastic residue still there. also had to trim some plastic off of one of the buttons, as it wouldn’t rest in the case.
Other than that, pretty “easy” install. Some of the screws also didn’t connect, as you can see on the picture of the game card side of this shell. Doesn’t close completely. But not a huge gap, so I’m not too worried about it.
Everything is good with this order, I just have issues getting the triggers back on.
The Nintendo DS Lite shell case looks and feels great. It comes with all the parts you need to replace your housing.
The material is very good and looks great on the console.
This is a nice little kit for re-shelling your DSL. The shell seems to be of decent quality(maybe not up to Nintendo standards, but good) and fits everything quite nicely. It’s got all the hardware including new pins and springs for the shoulder buttons. I’d definitely recommend this one
Just built a DS lite using this shell. The transplant went pretty smoothly, although there are a couple spots of plastic flashing inside the case that need cleaned up with an X-acto blade for a proper fit. The plastic of this case is actually somewhat translucent but that itsn’t a huge deal to me. Overall quality is probably a 7 or 8 out of 10 compared to original Nintendo housings but if your current DS has a cracked hinge or heavy wear than one of these new shells will make a world of difference. Overall its a decent shell but it just has a slightly cheap feel as you would probably expect. The case does come with the proper colored bezels for the screens as well as the little screw covers and such which is nice because some aftermarket cases do not.
