I like – light weight, worked straight with first connection to my laptop. The cover is light and good quality and sticks well with the magnet. I resolved – at first the stand tended to slide on my desk so the viewing angle needed constant adjustment; then I put a marmalade jar behind the stand and it stopped sliding. Perfect.

Bought this as an impulse purchase as it was on offer. I specifically purchased the smaller
14in monitor to complement my Chromebook of the same size, but to possibly use it as a
secondary monitor (in a vertical position) with my desktop PC at home.

First impressions, there is very little weight to the monitor and it is super slim. It feels well
built and solid enough for travel, it actually fits snugly with my Chromebook when packed
away in its travel case, along with a USB-C and HDMI cables.

The display seems crisp and saturated enough. I don’t intend to do gaming with this
monitor, just general purpose stuff, along with graphic design and video editing where more
screen real estate would be handy. There are buttons down the right hand side of the
monitor to tweak all the usual settings like Screen Brightness/ Contrast/ Saturation/ Inputs
    etc.
Monitor also has a pair of built-in speakers. They’re not the best, but they get the job done.
If you don’t like it, you can alway revert back to your Chromebook/ Laptop/ Desktops
speakers if you want. Also has a headphone jack built in, if you still use tethered
    headphones!

The instructions aren’t the best that comes with the monitor, but with a bit of
experimentation, you can quickly figure out how the monitor works with other devices.

    Chromebook

This was by far the easiest device to connect my monitor to. Literally plug and play the
USB-C cable and away you go.

    Desktop PC

This was a process of elimination to figure out how to set up the portable monitor to my
desktop PC. For this I needed the supplied HDMI to HDMI cable to connect the monitor to
the PC, as well as using the supplied USB-C cable to power the portable monitor on this
occasion. You can power the USB-C from a wall socket, or what I do, just a powerbank that
I would use to charge my gadgets with.
The connection was a pain to figure out initially, since I don’t have HDMI ports on my PC,
(just a couple of DisplayPort sockets instead) so I had to buy an adapter for it to work.

Works the same as my Chromebook – just Plug and Play with the USB-C cable and away you go.

Overall, a decent wee monitor if you need a little bit more screen real estate at home, or
away travelling. These super slim screens are a testament as to how far monitor technology
has come in just a couple of decades.

Excellent wee monitor - Does what it says on the ti

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersI primarily wanted this to use with a Samsung Galaxy phone in Dex mode. Dex is not supported directly, so you do need a USB-C ‘hub’ which triggers Dex, and then outputs to HDMI which this monitor can accept. The monitor may also accept USB-C video signals on its secondary port but I have not tried that yet. Other similar screens (from Asus and AOC) won’t work because they only have USB-C input (for power and video), won’t trigger Dex and don’t have an HDMI input. This screen can also be used for other devices, e.g. games consoles. It comes with a good selection of cables for most applications. HDMI port is mini-HDMI (but it comes with a HDMI to mini cable).

Two downsides: It is heavy – much heavier than an equivalent ipad/tablet even though there’s no battery – I guess it’s the steel case which seems unnecessary and the cover, thought functional doesn’t provide very good propping up – it works on a flat surface but it’s easy to knock (and then the screen slides flat) or on a bumpy train/plane it might fall over.

This is a genuine review written by someone (me) who bought the product with my own money, without solicition, discount or bribe….unusual for Amazon, I know 🙂
