Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUpdate 25/07/23

While i stand by my original review for the product, the issues i had were resolved by the seller promptly and for that reason i have ammended my rating from a 2 star to a 5.

    Original review:

i liked the look of this, i would have prefered it to allow you to house the ps5 flat but never mind, thats a personal choice.

Cooling – worthless, it offers lots of noise and next to no cooling

Stability – the screw holding the console in is a real pain to get in and even harder to remove but it does seem to hold the console in fairly well once there.

Lighting – i’ve only recently noticed it had lighting, nothing much to shout about for me, might appeal more to people who have their console out on display more though

Controller Charging – i loved the idea of these pull out trays, sadly the design looked nice but the execution was missing, i cant get my pads to sit on this tray, i tried for hours before giving up. this was mostly why i bought the stand if i am honest, i wanted my pads closer to the console when not in use for ease of access.

i own a digital version so i have no use for the game tray so i cant comment on that.

all in all, i wasted a whole lot of money on this thing and since its purchase it held my ps5 for about a week before i took it off and threw it away, i am back to the basic stand and my other reliable charger.

An expensive base, but after my lovely 3 cats managed to knock over the ps5 that was in my previous base, I swear by this now. Looks the part and does the job. Can’t complai

It feels of good solid quality, nice and sturdy to cradle your baby (my ps5 is mine) with a good fit. The ability to charge controllers is a god send, it even fits my dual sense edge too which is handy. This stand is on another level compared to the external fan, I appreciate it is not cheap but I don’t feel short changed at all. Everything was a simple install with no drama. The auto off is brilliant no more getting up to turn it off. Honestly I am pretty pleased with this product and it is worth the outlay. My only gripe is that the stand is only available in white for now, which is a trade off for a decent product. Do yourself a favour and try it as my words don’t do it justice

I would recommend this to anyone with a ps5. The fans are a little bit noisy but if you wear headphones then bingo

The fact that it actually does drag hot air out is good enough for me 3 settings min med high depending on how got machine Is I just keep it on high no nose and got a couple of led lights front and back great value for money

The chargers do work on controller but do take a while and it has a side panel to put 10x games their best on I’ve seen on marke

    Brilliant added extra

The stand is solid and good quality. It has 2 pullout drawers. One side to hold your games and on the other side you can charge 2 controllers.

The stand itself also includes 3 x front facing usb ports, led lighting and fans in the base to pull warm air away from the console. The fans and leds can be controlled by buttons on the front.

During my time using it, I set the leds to blue and fans to low. It was very quiet and worked with no problems. It is a little tricky at first to get the controller into position to charge, but after practice, it is easy.

It is quite large, especially when both drawers are open so you will need some room for it on your setup.

It can be used for both PS5 versions as it comes with the adapter for the digital PS5 version.

    Does the job!

Excellent design and very sturdy only downside is lead is too short at back to plug into PS5

Nice and sturdy and colour matched my PS5 perfectly simple set up, particularly like the flashing LEDs and colour range. Charging points for hand controllers. Pity about no headset charging but no big deal as headset sits it’s perfectly on top of the PS5 (see picture) Also stores games but I’m unlikely to use this feature.

Sadly since writing the above review the unit has failed not charging the controllers and is being returned after only a few weeks of use.

    Matches my PS5 Perfectly

Have purchased similar stands before, all of which broke easily or very loud, so far this one seems built better. Fans are quieter than the others but still a bit noisy which I can see being the only let down. Also a tad on the expensive side

This is a very good product that has some nice applicable functions it is quite pricey but in the long run will be a benefit to the longevity of your Playstation 5 console not a big fan of how the charging ports for the controllers are set up but it’s not to bad. Great cooling system allows much more game time without console over heating looks really nice and keeps the console stable too I didn’t cater for how tall it would make it but its amazing definitely worth a buy would make a great gift for a game

This PS5 cooling stand is on the expensive side, and for what it actually does I don’t believe it is needed. Yes it’s nice to have and keeps the ps5 cool and has nice features but I do believe it’s rather unnecessary.

The stand itself works great, has 8 different RGB lighting modes and 10 game slots. Also can charge two controllers on this stand which is convenient and a great feature. Can adjust the fan speeds and RGB modes.

Overall, a great cooling stand. On the pricey side but worth the money if you have it.

What a clever little active cooling stand that doubles up as a charging station for all your devices.

Its really nice to see that someone has really thought about products like this. Other’s I’ve seen fit a purpose but don’t seam to be thought about logically but this has excelled.

First off it looks really good and the finish is the same as that which the PS5 is made out of. sort looks like its meant to be like that out of the factory.

Fan is nice and quiet. Nothing to moan about there.

3 USB ports on the front that fit the design rather than someone just adding one on at the end.

Then you get a very cleaver magical draw that pops out that provides chargers for two PlayStation controllers at the same time. These are all wired up already and all you need to do is bring the drawer out and put it on.

    Very nice produc

I love this stand got the looks fits very well with the PS5, makes the PS5 very steady too you know its not gonna tip over.

Switch on the console and you notice the RGB lights flash, nice little touch and the colour is changeable. Fans turn on, the lowest speed is great not noticeable but the highest speed is a bit annoying.
On the stand itself you get 2 trays one on the left side and the other right hand side. tray on the left hand side is for the games, so its nice and tidy. right side to charge the joy pads you have to be careful feels its gonna brake off because its just held on by the charger head, first few times I used it I had to push very hard for it to connect.
The extra USB connection are handy to. for connecting other peripherals on, from joy pads, hard drives head phones and more, there are many more years for the PS5 so many stuff to come.

Beautiful, fits well with the PS5 I like this.

I got this for my son’s PS5 as I thought he’d appreciate it. At first, he was really chuffed to receive it but he did find a couple of bugbears. I asked him to talk me through what he liked and disliked about the product.

“I really like the fact you can charge your controllers on the front drawer even though I find it a little tricky to pull out. When they’re charging there are cool controller icons that light up. I thought that was a neat touch. At the back of the stand, there is another pull-out rack that you can keep your games in. I like that idea but I just don’t have the space on my desk to be able to use that. The whole thing is pretty big so if you only have a small space to work with, this thing is gonna take up quite a lot of it. It’s good that you can use this with the disc or non-disc version too by removing a section at the top, but my biggest problem with this stand is the noise of the fan. I mean it’s just too noisy and gets really annoying. Also, as I had this during the hot weather, it doesn’t half kick out some heat so my room got boiling. I just wish it had a button to switch it off if you didn’t want the fan on”

He’s since decided he’d rather not have it in his room so if you are going to pay just under 55 for this, just be sure you have the space and don’t mind the sound of the fan. My son is a little fussy with anything that is too loud in his room so it may not bother most people but something to just bear in mind. I still think this is a decent item and would give this 4/5 stars.

A couple of niggles but not a bad produc

So the description states this is a:-
PS5 cooling stand with RGB. KIWIHOME PS5 vertical stand with 3-level cooling fan. PS5 accessories for PS5 console with dual controller charging station, 3 USB hubs, 10 game slots.

Having this stand, is more than just a stand, it
cools down your console and keeps everything organised. But they also thought of the two different types of PS5 because they include a strip to be used with the digital type.

*** Designed for the PS5 Disc & Digital Editions, comes with:-
    * 2 built-in suction cooler fans with 3 speeds
    * Dual PS5 controller charger station with LED indicators
    * 8 RGB modes
    * 10 PS5 games holder
    * Three 2.0 USB ports

    * Install the strip if you have the PS5 Digital Edition

    *** Fan ~ RGB Buttons:-
    * Adjust the fan speeds and RGB modes separately with the buttons
    * Press 3 seconds to turn off the fan & light
    * Both have a memory function

    * The screw to add your console extra support and stability
    * The stand comes with 4 rubber feet that attach to the bottom of the base

    *** Retractable Games Storage:-
    * Store up to 10 games

The price at the time of this review is 54.99, which does sound a lot, but if its going to stop the game console from overheating and it helps store and organise it all it will be worth it as it be cheaper than replacing the console or lost games etc

    So far so good
But I will update this review if needed after its been used for longer.

What a fantastic idea/device for the ps5. No one wants their game console over heating as when they have been on a while they can get hot. This device doesn’t stop there though, as it also doubles up as a stand for the ps5, a dual charging pad dock, a holder for up to 10 games and has 3 usb ports at the front. combined with the 8 different lighting settings, makes this a nice bit of kit. It is a bit on the bulky side epically when you pull out the side drawers to charge your pads or store games but if you have the extra room, this is definitely worth it. This device really does help with keeping my ps5 cooler whilst in use. The ps5 slots into the top of the unit and then the hot air is sucked out via 2 fans and pushed away from the machine. There are 3 speeds for the fan, slow which is 2500 rpm, fast 3500 rpm and auto which is somewhere between the 2. I really liked the feature of also having the 3 usb slots at the front, you can never have too many of these and were a welcome added bonus! I liked the design of the device and it felt like a lot of thought had gone into it, it seems well made and i thought it was reasonably priced.

This cooling fan unit has been quite well thought out. In addition to relatively quiet fan function it adds a more stable base to the PS5 for when used vertically. It also provides welcome extra USB sockets, somewhere to store the controllers while they are being charged and storage for CD games.
Straight out of the box it doesn’t impress. It is quite light and ‘plasticky’. However when set up it looks good and is stable. With the unit fitted it needs quite a bit of space on either side to enable access to the pull out sections for the storage and controller charging. I have never needed extra cooling but I can see that it will be an advantage, especially in hot weather. The description and pictures on the Amazon site are realistic.
As a functioning fan it is ok but the added features are all useful and probably justify the price.

Generally speaking, this is a remarkable stand, but not necessarily essential. The stand has lots of cool features, such as RGB lighting, an eye-catching and awesome aspect. The stand has fans as well to cool down your PS5 while you’re gaming, and while gaming I’ve noticed that my PS5 has been considerably cooler. Each of these features has a button that you can adjust them with. The fan has 3 settings, low, medium and high. You can change the colour of the lighting and set it to a specific colour if you want to. Something I saw though is that one of the things in the lighting is diagonal, I assume it’s not supposed to be like that. The stand keeps the PS5 stable but is way bigger than the normal stand. On the front of the stand are some USB ports, a genuinely useful aspect. To power it, it has a USB that you put into the back of the console. On the left and right is a place where you can keep your game cases and a dock for your controllers. For some reason my controllers haven’t been charging, so there’s not much to say about that. There should be some lights on that part, displaying if your controller is charged or not, but it just doesn’t show up for me. It doesn’t have a place to hold your headphones however. A bulky design, and compartments on the left and right, makes this a huge stand, taking up a lot of space. You might have to keep how large this is in mind when buying it.

in what it is meant to do, this item does it, and does it in spades. the suction fans can spin at upto 3.5k rpm, keeping even the longest of sessions an issues regarding overheating.

it also has two charging ports for your controllers and a storage area for upto 10 game discs.

the only thing to note, is that it is quite a bulky item, and will take up more room than you may have been expecting.

I was really impressed with the ps5 stand. It looks the part and really matches the colour scheme of the ps5 to perfection.

Is it’s really self explanatory to set up. You simply slot your console into the slot that is perfectly shaped for it. This stand will allow either the Digital or disk drive version and to adapt for either you simply add or remove a detachable piece from the slot. You also have the option of using the screw to really fix it into position, however I think that it is plenty sturdy enough as it is. However I would consider adding it if I had a toddler or a cat that was particularly interested in it.

A real benefit of this item which makes it so secure is that it really adds a lot of width to give your console a wider base and preventing it from toppling over. However that said benefit is also somewhat a potential issue as it is rather big.

The item also has the option of sliding out two trays either side, one for keeping your games tidy and the other for charging your controllers. These simply sit upside down and plug in to the usb which is fixed in place.

The front of this stand has a fan which speeds up and down with the console, therefore giving and optimum cooling function. You also have the option of a changing under-light at the front, of a variety of different colours.

The stand is simply powered by plugging it in to a rear USB port on the console.

Overall I am really impressed with this item and if you have sufficient space in both height and width (the ps5 is a rather bulky product and when on its side quite tall and then you add the width of this item to it), then this is certainly a product I recommend buying.

    Really Smart and sturdy

This KIWIHIME PS5 stand is a game-changer, with its cooling system and a dual controller charging station, which is ideal for gamers to use.

The PS5 stand comes with two built-in cooling systems up to three levels of speed, a dual charging station with LED indicators, eight RGB modes, ten PAS5 game holders, three 2.0 USB ports, two adjustment buttons, and a USB-C cable. The RGB lights have seven modes such as red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, purple and a multi-colour cycle. It also works even in sleep mode and has a memory function that helps to remember the last light mode selection.

It performs a great job of cooling my console and is solidly constructed. Plus, it is simple to put up and I finished setting it up in under a few minutes. The cooling fans are really quiet, and the base also has two more USB connections that I undoubtedly find useful. Also, I like how the display indicates whether or not your tablet is charged with a red or green light icon.

All in all, this is a pretty well-put and good-quality device. I also think this has a practical side since it functioned as a cooler and charger.

This is a nice bit of kit that feels very well made and is definitely of quality. The question is then, do you need it? Well, probably not. Consoles today are made well enough that you shouldn’t ever be suffering from overheating, unless you keep it in very bad conditions that it sucks up a lot of dust, or you don’t give it minimal breathing room. With that said, while it’s hard to make any definitive answer here, it is possible that it could increase the lifespan of the console because it’s another layer to prevent dust or little critters getting into the machine, but likewise, it’s another layer that could end up adding more issues to go wrong, but I don’t believe that is the case here, it’s just something to think about.

It does however, add more power draw to the system.

    The Pro’s here:

    – Adds an increased amount of stability for those keeping it vertical.

    – Adds an extra layer to protect from dust

    – Has an all in one charging dock for your controllers

    – Helps keep it cool

    – Looks great

    – Adds some easily accessible ports

    The cons!

    – The charging dock is fiddly and actually requires the USBC port on the controller, I do not like this method especially with having the full weight of the controller on top of it. Charging docks usually use the port underneath.

    – The Ps5 is dead silent, this fan is not. It’s not the loudest thing but it does add extra noise for something that was whisper quiet.

    – An increase in power draw.

All in all, this is a nice bit of kit that I would expect to help prolong the life of the console, but it’s not entirely sure that would be needed. I do imagine this would be fantastic for those rare occasions that some PS5’s already overheat however. It adds more stability to the system as well as more ports, so whilst this isn’t really needed, it’s a great addition to the console although I personally dislike the method to charge the controllers, but it’s probably the only way to do it in this vertical configuration.

    Nice but is it needed?

Very sleek-looking and fits the console perfectly. This is a very quiet and effective fan which I wish I’d gotten earlier. It really looks like it’s part of the system.

An added bonus are the extra USB ports that are ‘attached’ to this which means that charging your controllers are easy (trust me, it’s needed when you’re gaming for hours on end).

All-in-all, a little on the pricey side but after having used this for a week, I wouldn’t want to be without it.

  27. Anonymous says:

Build quality is good, the plastic perfectly matches the off-white colour of the PS5. The PS5 sits perfectly in the recess, providing excellent stability. If you have the disk edition, there is a plastic insert you need to remove but it came out with no issues.

Installation is a little fiddley, it would have been nice if they’d used the screw that secured the original stand, but it uses a thinner screw that is supplied with the unit (it is supplied in a small bag taped to the back of the cardboard packing insert if you can’t find it).

Once in place the stand significantly increases the footprint of the PS5. This could be a positive as it adds stability, or may be an issue if you have little space.

The drawers that contain the charging ports for the controllers and organisation for the game cases are very difficult to open so Ideally, you’d probably want to leave these open. Personally, I’m using the charging but don’t like the cases on display so that drawer stays shut. When attaching the controllers to charge, I did have to push them down onto the USC plugs harder than I was totally comfortable with at first, but they were fine once connected.

The additional USB ports are a nice feature, for me just re-locating them to the base is a positive as I’ve never liked having to attach USB devices to the port half way up the front of the PS5.

The RGB is bright and effective, you have some control over the colour and pattern but control is basic so don’t expect to be able to achieve a customised light show.

As for the cooling, in the UK I’ve not noticed an issue with overheating, although keeping electronics as cool as possible is always best. Never the less, I’ll be keeping the Kiwihome stand fans on minimum as they can make more noise than the PS5.

While the Kiwihome stand isn’t a necessity, it will add some quality of life features and a spot of RBG loveliness to those who want/ need it.

    Adds functionality and stability

This cooling stand and charging station is a nice feature to add if you have your PS5 up on end and really does help with its cooling for long gaming periods.
The stand Is just slightly off white as the pictures show vs the bright white boxing and I thought this would annoy me next to the white PS5 but actually it’s not as bad as I thought it would be.
I have the disc edition PS5 and once you figure out how to remove the insert it fits in very well and I like the screw in the base to add that extra support and stability.
The bottom slide outs are handy, the games one is OK but not really usable so it would be better if that had a removable insert so it could just be a slide out try for other bits, but the controller slide out and charging bay is very handy and also provides a good place to keep your controllers.
It has extra USB ports and buttons on the back to change the brightness of the lights or the fan speed, but it would be nicer if it could have hidden all the other console cables and taken them into the base and then out the back to make it look neater on the table.
Overall, for 54.99 Its very expensive for what you actually get, and it could be better value if it dealt with the consoles cables as well. That being said it does do a great job at cooling the console especially during the hot summer and if you play for long periods of time so I could imagine being without now.

does a good job keeping temperatures down but bit expensive

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a great bit of kit. The difference is overheating is unreal! Had a black unit and after a few months it gave in, it was half the price and half the effectiveness, the storage for games is a plus and the charging doc is saving space on my gaming area.

I’d absolutely recommend this unit. My son is an avid gamer so that machines on 24/7 and this is needed in our case. The light adds to the gaming ambiance and experience and isn’t too vibrant that it’s blinding or distracting during game play!

Any Sony or Microsoft owner knows that the enemy of the latest generation of consoles is the immense heat that some can kick out. They build in cooling fans these days to some items, but they don’t always work. This stylish stand really appealed to me and I leapt at the chance to try it.

I’ll be totally honest, when I first opened it I was a little underwhelmed, it’s not a cheap item so the plan box was surprising, and when first viewing the unit it just looked like plastic. It’s when you set it up and turn it on that you the magic kicks in though. Your PS5 slides neatly into the top and creates a really stylish look to the console, it was super easy to install into the base, and the light bar really adds to the high end feel of the console.

The cooling fans themselves are very quiet (I forget they’re even there) and the base also provides you with two extra USB ports which will most definitely come in useful! Especially with PSVR2 due soon and needing to charge the extra controllers it will bring!

You can insert your joypads for charging on the front/side (depending on how you display it) and I love that the display shows a red or green light icon to identity whether your pad is charged or not.
It’s a really beautiful item, well made and great for organising your gear, like I say – the magic kicks in when you turn it all on and the light etc kick in. It is on the pricier side at the current 54.99, so I’ve given it 4 out of 5 (as value is always something to consider and I like to be fair and objective) so it’s not the cheapest item on the market – however I think it is certainly one of the best. Whether for your own PS5 or for a friend or relative this Christmas/birthday it’s something any PlayStation owner will be grateful for.

The KIWIHOME PS5 Stand is a must-have accessory for any PS5 owner. It’s well-built, sturdy, and does an excellent job of cooling your console. It also has a dual controller charging station and 12 game slots, so you can keep your controllers charged and your games organized. The included 2-in-1 cable is a nice touch, too. Overall, this is an excellent product and I highly recommend it.

    Design and Build Quality
The stand is made from high-quality plastic and metal, and it feels very sturdy. It’s also easy to assemble; it took me less than 5 minutes to set it up. The stand comes with 4 rubber feet that attach to the bottom of the console, which helps keep it stable and prevents it from slipping around.

The stand has 2 USB ports on the front, which you can use to charge your controllers or connect other accessories. There are also 12 game slots on the top of the stand, so you can keep your games organized and within easy reach. And finally, there are 2 cooling fans on the back of the stand that help keep your console cool while you’re playing games.

    Performance
This stand lives up to its promises; it does an excellent job of cooling your console and keeping it organized. The fans are very quiet, too; I can barely hear them even when I’m sitting right next to the console. And my controllers stay charged; My son hasn’t had an issue with them running out of juice while I’m gaming.

Overall, The KIWIHOME PS5 Stand is an excellent product that I highly recommend to any PS5 owner. It’s well-built, sturdy, and does a great job of cooling your console. It also has a dual controller charging station and 12 game slots, so you can keep your controllers charged and your games organized. The included 2-in-1 cable is a nice touch, too. If you’re looking for a way to keep your PS5 cool and organized, this is the product for you.

I’m a 60 something woman and the whole gaming culture has passed me by, but I know plenty of 20 and 30 somethings that are obsessed with game play, so I was intrigued by this piece of kit.

My go to gaming guru tells me that one of the major issues with games consoles is heat. Gamers become immersed in the game and their console could be on for many hours at a time, generating heat. Now this is something I understand – anyone who has sat at a computer all day knows that things can get a bit on the warm side, it’s fairly obvious really, power generates heat.

Most stands are just that, stands to stop your console from falling over. This one is different – it has two cooling fans with three speeds to help dissipate heat. It also has charging points for your controllers and three USB ports for pairing additional hardware. There is even space to stack and store games.

My go to gaming guru tells me all this is a real game changer (forgive the pun). Heat is the destroyer of consoles (which are expensive) and something like this should extend the life of the console considerably. He doesn’t know it yet, but my go to gaming guru is going to be the lucky recipient of this stand (I know he wants it but he thinks I’m giving it to someone else). When (if) he gives me feedback on the stand in actual use I’ll update this review, meanwhile for all you non-gamers who want to look and sound like you know what you’re on about, buy this for the PS5 user in your life – they’ll probably thank you for it.

What I had originally thought of as an expensive piece of plastic turns out to be a very useful piece of kit. Who knew? Every day is a school day.

I'm no gamer but I understand why a gamer would need this.
