I was a little surprised that the Pico came in just a jiffy bag and sealed electronics bag – it could have been squashed in the post! – but otherwise, it’s been great. It’s excellent value for money and the solders all seem excellent. The pico is an amazing device for the money. I’m looking forward to many hours putting it through its electronic paces.

I got this product with no experience on raspberry pi’s or any micro-controllers and it was so easy to use (I know its sounds like a bot made this) but the one thing is it does not sit into the breadboard well it can come out very easily which is a pain but overall a very good product defo worth the price will purchase again most likely

The wireless in these PiCos works fine in my house, and I actually used these to upload information to Amazon’s AWS IoT Core and they worked fine. I am disappointed in myself for not bothering to do the soldering myself – there’s a premium to purchasing the headers pre-soldered. But I made the decision, and the offerings I saw were similarly priced. I tried several other projects with both the PiCo/Python approach and Arduino sketches and these worked fine.

At the time I write this the official Pico WH is either not available or very scarce.

This product fills the gap neatly.

I used to be skilled at soldering but those days are long gone. I’m out of practice and my eyesight isn’t quite so good. For these reasons, plus convenience, I wanted a Pico W with pre-soldered headers. This product fits the bill.

As for the Pico W, I’ve had good experiences with using HTTP over WiFi using MicroPython with mine. Two use cases that I regularly use, triggered by an RFID card:

    1) Triggering a Pushcut notification on iOS / iPad OS.

    2) Triggering Keyboard Maestro on Mac OS.

RRP is 6 pound this is over double. Really cool product but I wouldn’t pay a 100% mark up on RRP when it’s readily available elsewhere
