Firstly, and not really related to this item, this crimp tool allows the use of pass through RJ45 plugs. These are much easier to prepare/lineup the cables which means less chance of a bad termination.
The kit contains all you need to make patch leads to your desired length (minus the cable that you must provide). The additional tools are OK but the star of the box is the crimp tool. It feels solid and well made. It has all the cutting, trimming features needed to dress and finish a pass through crimped RJ45. The cutting blades are replaceable and the kit comes with a spare blade of each type. I am not a fan or the integrated cable stripper as it is a bit fiddly to rotate the crimping tool. The lock pin is really easy to use and means when not in use the blades are tucked away. The instruction are not the clearest but it is easy to work out how to use and the wiring template stuck on the crimp tool is a great touch for people who do not make cables on a regular basis. Although a great tool I would suggest this is really only used for home or occasional office use as you need to apply quite a bit of force to complete the crimp due to the compact size or the tool.
The included small plastic stripper is OK for a couple of cables but you should probably get a better separate stripping tool.
This crimping tool set comes in a plain cardboard box and inside you’ll find the RJ45 crimping tool, cable punch, Wire snips, bag of RJ45 connectors, bag of RJ45 boots, and a user manual.
As I was taking everything out of the box, it felt like someone had grabbed a handful of useful items for network cabling and placed them in a box as they are all packaged in their own, singular packaging. Included are the most useful items for creating your own wired ethernet network.
The crimping tool feels well-constructed and doesn’t feel flimsy. The spring-loaded mechanism isn’t hard to squeeze, and it has a smooth motion. There is a slider pin that you press in from one side to lock the mechanism closed and you push it back through from the other side to unlock it. I feel that this was made to be used in the left hand as you have to insert your connector from the right side. This means you either have to hold it like a stapler and squeeze with your thumb, use it upside down, or just use your left hand. Not a deal breaker and can still be used in various ways, it just feels strange at first as I don’t hold it how I naturally would. With this crimper, you can use the passthrough RJ45 connectors, so you don’t have to cut the wires to length before inserting them. You can just line up your wires in the correct order and push them through the connectors and the wires will stick out the end. When you crimp the connector, a blade comes out to crimp the cable and another comes up at the end to slice of the wires that are sticking out. This makes wiring a connector quick and easy as you don’t have to be accurate. Just cut the cable with the internal wires longer than needed, push them into the connector and crimp. Really quick and easy. In the pack is a spare blade for both the sheath cutter and the wire trimmer. The sheath cutter blade isn’t adjustable so if you have a thinner ethernet cable, it won’t cut the sheath properly. This is a shame as I was working with cat5e cable, and it didn’t cut deep enough to trim the sheath, so I had to use the included cable punch as that has a wire cutter on instead.
This is a good set to give you everything you need to correctly wire your own ethernet cable. The included connectors are the passthrough type so can be used with this crimper to take advantage of the blade that cuts the wires off that are sticking out of it. A good set for a very reasonable price.
The kit comes in a brown box, no real labelling on it, though when the box is opened there is plenty inside. There are a number of tools and instructions as well as the connectors and boots.
I had some issues getting the boots on the Ethernet cable I selected to make up a cable, though eventually managed it. I think it will depend upon the cable you choose to use as to how easy it will be to make a completed patch cable. I found it fiddly to make a link cable up, but perhaps I will improve as I practice. If you wish to make your own cables up, this kit would be good starting point.
Very good set of crimpers . All tested and cable working. Only dropped a star as the snips broke. But the crimpers worked very well.
The tool arrived with, a spare blade , Rj45 connector pack and boot pack, additional wire cutter, small wire stripping tool and instructions.
I used it for a project to wire up NVR in my loft to my Cctv system . To test it out I used it on a 30 meter length of bare Cat 6 ethernet cable which I had installed via a network outlet up within the wall & ceiling cavity , then up into the loft.
I was able to strip , cut , crimp and flush-cut the cable without the need to reach for any other tools. I actually didn’t need any of the extra tools provided in the kit either which was great.
The blades worked perfectly and are nice and sharp, (there is a spare set as mentioned).
The actual blue connectors boots I found a little bit tight getting over the cable at first but after I put a little bit of washing up liquid they slid on ok.
Crimping up was easy and it cut the extraneous core perfectly flush. It basically worked a treat.
No complaints about this tool. It’s proven to be very useful. I was able to do the cabling up very quickly so it will help speed up my DIY Cctv system project.
In summary:
Great little tool , very versatile and multi-functional that does exactly what it says on the tin.
Blenori Pass Through RJ45 Crimp Tool – Cat6 Crimping Tool Ethernet RJ45 Crimper with 50PCS Cat5e Cat6 Connectors, 50PCS Covers – 29.99 at time of review.
This is a good quality crimping tool and comes with a lot of connectors/accessories with it. There are no instructions included, so if you don’t know how to use one you’d probably have to search on the internet for instructions or video demos. Would be best if it was packaged a bit better or more neatly as did seem to just be chucked in a box.
Having wired up large parts of the house with Cat 5e we rely on patch cables to connect routers and wifi access points to the panels.
This kit is pretty good to create these quite quickly. Note that no network cable is provided, but 50 cable boots and connectors are provided to get you started – they’re of average quality, but work well enough.
The kit contains a circular wire cutter, a normal set of wire cutters which work better than the old 15 year old pair in my toolbox plus the main crimping tool.
The crimping tool, whilst not ratcheted, does work – I would usually cut the ends of the cable to the right length for a better job, with my other crimper, but this one does away with that, making the process a bit faster. What was most useful was the wiring guide printed on the tool itself; this would have been useful when wiring up a barn with cameras in a place with no phone signal – where I needed it during a job.
In all a great kit to start you off wiring up your home network.
Blenori Pass Through RJ45 Crimp Tool.
A decent quality RJ47 crimping tool. The tool performs very well without any issues. The tool allows you to cut, strip and then crimp the adapters. The tool is suitable for CAT5, CAT5e and CAT6/6A cables. A selection of connectors and covers are included in the kit too. I was pleased see spare blades are supplied also.
Impressive tool that’s well built with good materials, does what it’s supposed to do. Comes with wire strippers which is handy too!
So, the most important thing, the tool itself, is great.
The instructions were not particularly useful, but this is the sort of thing that you probably should have an idea for before you buy it. If not, I’m sure there are Youtube videos on crimping RJ45 cables.
The tool worked well. It comes with a big bag of connectors and covers, that was all just great.
It also came with a pair of snips (seem OK nothing special) and one of those terrible cheap wire strippers.
If you are crimping RJ45 cables, I would think you should really be using a good stripping tool, not one of these terrible plastic gubbins.
However, that’s a minor niggle.
The tool itself seems to be of good build quality, so I would reccomend overall.
Having moved into my new house 4-weeks ago and the 1G fibre broadband going in soon now, I’ve had to start thinking about my internal Network set-up. The plan is to have a central switch in the loft from with everything else feeds off of. From the switch in the loft to routers in most rooms, which I will set-up as switches, I’m going with Cat 8 to future proof them. Then from the routers to various smart devices e.g. TV, playstation, laptops and having a hardwired connection for tablets I’m going with Cat 6, as I can easily upgrade them. So, I picked up a decent sized spool of Cat 6 cable, which I’m cutting into the required lengths and this is where this Blenori Pass Through RJ45 Crimp Tool set comes in.
In the box you get the crimping tool, wire cutter, small plastic wire strippers, 50 X RJ45 Cat 6 connectors & boots and instructions. I’m no Pro when it’s comes to doing this. In fact it my first time and my first time hard wiring, as previously I used Powerline connectors to access the internet and stream movies around the house.
Although the Cat 6 cable wasn’t overly thick, the wire cutter on the tool, not the separate one, did a decent job of cutting through it. The stripper worked equally as well. Once I had got through the tricky part of lining up the cables in the correct order, I did find it really tricking trying to thread them through the RJ45 connector. Either they didn’t come out, some came out or they came out in the wrong order. As I said, this my first attempt at doing this. Having got then through, it just a matter of placing the connector into the port on the tool and snipping/crimping it. Having already put a boot on the cable, I just had to slide that down over the connector. That was my first one done.
I’ll do a few more and have a tester arriving tomorrow. If any issues come up, then I will update this review accordingly. Hopefully with more practise I’ll get better at it.
One final think I will say about this kit is that I would class it as a “white label” product. Since the only branding on the box is a white sticker with a barcode and the items inside are individually packaged. You can get the main tool, under multiple brands on the Amazon website.
I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.
This is a RJ45 crimp tool with a starter pack of 50 pieces of Cat5/6 connectors. It also includes wire stripper and wire cutter.
Things I liked:
– it covers cutting, stripping and crimping
– allows to customise the ethernet cable length for my needs
– good build quality
Overall, the build quality will definitely last for a long time and will performing many crimping for many years to come.
A really nice kit.I think that only the cable testing it’s missing but overall this is a professional tools set ready for the job.
Before we begin, I got this item at zero cost through the Vine programme, that doesn’t mean it gets a positive review though. User reviews are important, they’re genuinely useful to buyers and we should use them, so here comes an honest one.
In the box …
… you get the crimp tool, a small plastic wire stripper, a good pair of wire snippers, spare blades for the crimp tool, 50x cable boots and 50x RJ45 network terminal connectors.
Build quality …
… is good. The crimp tool is of metal construction and has some weight to it. Everything about it feel pretty good and smooth. The small pair of wire snippers are also nice. Decent handles on them, spring loaded, they cut well and precisely. The plastic wire stripper tool is fairly cheap. The RJ45 cable boots and terminals are of average quality and work well enough.
In use …
… it’s nice to have a reference of RJ45 cable colour codes if you’re someone that doesn’t use them all too often. Be sure to unlock the crimp tool handle with the metal push button (handily labelled for you on the tool) before you start. The crimp tool removes the outer sheath easily, cuts the twisted pairs well enough and crimps down on the RJ45 plug whilst simultaneously trimming the ends of the pass-through RJ45 plugs neatly. All in all it works as you’d expect, but well enough. Be sure to take a look at the video on the item page above if you get stuck.
Overall impressions …
…. are favourable. I see no major drawbacks of the tool or the connectors/boots/wire snippers. Yes it is a little more expensive than other tools, but it’s not extortionate and you get 50 RJ45 boots and connectors, a simple wire strip tool and a fairly decent pair of wire snippers. Added together that’s not bad for the money.
There is an awful lot in this kit. I have no idea what it all is but my partner assures me that it is really good. The actual tools are good quality and you get plenty of accessories with it. The only thing we can think of to say against it is there are no instructions at all. It just comes in a brown box. If you know what you are doing then it is not a problem but for someone new to the art of wire stripping and crimping then it will be a challenge.
This tool works exceptionally well to attach RJ45 connectors to the cable. It comes with all the necessary tools to complete this and a generous amount of connector heads and rubber covers.
More than you would ever need (not for personal use) even if you ruin the fitment several times.
However, I am not impressed by the way it seems like a random bundle was thrown together into a plain cardboard box… It seems more like a mismatch of brands similar to if you done your eBay shopping and ordered all of this separately.
Despite of its manufactory origins, tools feel of decent quality, and I can approve the purchase of this if you need to make up some custom length RJ45 cables.
This RJ45 crimp tool arrives with all you need and is well built, being constructed mostly from what feels like quality metal. The design of this is really smart compared to the traditional type because of the pass through functionality that it has, allowing all of the wires to be cut flush as you crimp it which is genius. The kit comes with pretty much everything you will need including plenty of CAT 6 connectors, boots and wire strippers. The instructions are clear and this kit makes the whole process much simpler. Chuffed with this.
This is a very well thought out and comprehensive Crimp Set. The package includes a set of ‘boots’ a number of RJ45 plastic ends, a pair of cutters a wire stripper and two spare blades. I am not overkeen on the supplied RJ45’s.
There is plenty of leverage for completing the connection between the handle and the body of the set, the body having shaped grips and the lever fitting nicely into the palm, squeezing give a very positive action to the crimping connection. The wire stripper is not at all good for smaller diameter cable, but the cutter works fine, although the blade is obviously going to wear out at some point, probably why a spare is included.
The yellow ‘finger swinger’ stripper is a good replacement for the integrated one, and in the short term, makes up for the shortfall caused by the stripper although it does have a limited lifetime. I particularly like the ‘secondary’ integrated blade which tidies up anything sticking out of the RJ45 plug itself when the cable is crimped, the two actions acting simultaneously.
On the whole, it is a joy to use with everything to hand, but the stripper needs work and loses a star on my review. The photo shows the tool itself, the RJ45’s and boots (blue), plus the good stripper – yellow, and the green cutters, the very small pack holds the two spare blades, six pieces in all.
Four Stars.

pros:
– no issues with any crimps, works great with crimping and cutting excess wires off
– all in one tool and heavy duty
– compact and can fit in pockets
– super convenient and east to use
– great quality
– comfortable to use
– works as advertised
cons:
– lock took a while to figure ou
First impressions, not very good. It’s a brown box with pre-packed items inside and no instructions whatsoever. Little disappointed
However, both tools themselves, the crimper and clippers seem very good quality, even though there is a very little English on the packaging and it’s nice having replacement blade for the crimped very pleased on that front
I love that you get a decent amount of clips and plugs brilliant allows you to practice which I really enjoyed
I like that, I can now fit cables to the right length without having pre-cut cables, fantastic
Quite pleased with the price39 for this overall kit that he’s saving me wasted cable
You receive a kit packed with a great set of networks tools.
The The all-in-one design allows to cut cable, strip wires and crimp 8 position modular connectors.
All works very well and seems easy to strip the cables and crimp the wires.
Included is a good cable stripper insertion tool, RJ45 connectors, cutters, pretty much everything you need for a basic set up.
This is a great value set, everything I can think of you’d need
If you are looking for this sort of product, you already have the intended use and know what it’s for, so won’t go into detail with that one. What I will say is this product arrived professionally packaged complete with crimp tool and starter accessory pack and everything feels well made and like it’s built to last. I can see the crimp tool lasting several years without issues and then you can continue to buy the own brand accessories or use your usual parts. Effortless to use and does great. Price is a little higher than others on the market though.
This review is for the Blenori Pass Through RJ45 Crimp Tool – Cat6 Crimping Tool Ethernet RJ45 Crimper with 50PCS Cat5e Cat6 Connectors, 50PCS Covers (BL-06)
29.99 at the time of review.
Blenori seems to sell these tools under different codes: BL-06 and BL-07 (this set) and BL-27, BL-29 and BL-30 (yellow colouring). BL-06 appears identical to BL-29 and BL-07 is the same as BL-27 (apart from the colours). They cost the same for the same level of parts. The only difference is the BL-30 which includes a cable tester as well as everything else.
There is a little metal rod that says Lock below it on one side. Depress the handle and push the rod through the body to unlock and lock the handle. It took me ages to realise this is what you do to get the crimp tool to work.
The crimp tool makes assembling network and phone cables really easy and I found this tool to work better and faster than the more traditional “plier” style of tool. It is also a lot smaller and made almost entirely of metal. The Cut blade works perfectly and gives a clean cut. The Strip blade cuts the outer sheath as you rotate the tool or the cable, although you have to bend the sheath to get it to separate afterwards. This is good because it means you won’t cut into the wiring inside.
It crimps an RJ45 plug perfectly cutting off the loose ends, but you have to ensure you push the plug into the socket so the base of the plug hits the plate at the end of the hole.
The wire strippers are also good and do the job of cutting wires perfectly. The small yellow stripper likewise work well and does the job if you are working in a more confined space.
This is a decent price for some high quality tools and parts so 5 stars from me and highly recommended. This is a well put together package and everything you would need for assembling network or cables. If you don’t have a cable tester though, I would thoroughly recommend buying the BL-30 set with the cable tester as it confirms your cable works once you have finished it, but if you don’t need or want one, this is a great buy.
