These dumbbells are extremely high quality and can we stand a hell of a lot of weight the only thing that lets these dumbbell down are clips
It’s sturdy and I guess that it’s gonna sustain the weights I’m going to use. The olympic plates I already have fit perfectly. I’m a bit concerned about the stops though. I don’t know if they can hold plates heavier than 10 kg. I’ll let you know in due time.
The only down side of this barbell style dumbells is that the actual handle size is too wide, I wish they would’ve done some dumbells handles measurements before they built it as being too wide make it difficult to balance the dumbells once loaded with plates, so if you don’t grab them exactly from the middle you’ll have a hard time balancing these things specially with heavy weight on them. Make the handles slightly narrower and would be perfect.
What more can I say? I use them for curls and my 2″ plates fit perfectly.
Wanted a barbell to use with olympic dumbells and weights I had bought 7 or 8 years ago from fitnesss superstore. It’s cheap, but seems plenty good enough for my needs. Weights fit well and it works. Much cheaper than other options online, but seems good enough. No faults that I can currently see, had for a couple of months now. There is a review from someone saying his weights don’t fit, well, my olympic plates fit it well, and they are several years old. My plates also fit Mirafit M3 Olympic Dumbbell Bars (2 sizes, I got the short ones, they’re great), and fitness superstore own brand dumbells which are longer/standard length, so either he had a faulty one or his plates are not standard olympic plates.
At 7.99 a pair, you can’t argue the value for money is right on for a solid bar. They are very long and the ones I got, the handle knurling is shallow and smooth on one and much deeper and rough on the other. Maybe quality control needs a bit of looking at.
