I was sick of playing online games with just a mouse on keyboard. I just wished I could play with a controller. This adaptor gave me just that. I plugged it in and paired the controller then I was ready to go. The connection between controller and computer is stable and there is no lag. Couldn’t want for much more. Price is reasonable for the product.
This is a great way to connect an Xbox controller to a windows PC. It works in a similar way to the official adapter but is a fraction of the cost.
The only real downside is that the plastic feels a bit cheap.
Would recommend as a cheap and easy way to connect an Xbox controller to a PC.
This is a good cheaper replacement for original adapter. The only thing I can complain about is the short extension lead, You may need a longer one as I did to plug into the back of my desktop pc and run the wire to the front top of the pc.
This wireless adapter allows you to use your Xbox controllers with your PC and allows you to connect them wirelessly. It is compatible with all Xbox controllers apart from the 360 versions so has good support.
Connection is simple as you just plug the adapter into a USB port and press your sync button on your controller. It connects almost instantly, and your controller is then usable in Windows and can be used to control your games. The adapter is plug and play as all you need to do is plug it in and Windows sets it up and it’s ready to use without you having to press anything. Once synced with a controller, it remembers it and every time you turn the controller on, it automatically connects and is ready for use.
I had no issues using the adapter and I didn’t notice any noticeable lag with button presses so the connection is fast and reliable. If you need to sync another controller, you simply press the sync button on the short edge of the adapter, press the sync button on the new controller, and it’ll automatically sync. This adapter also works with the wireless Xbox headphones and syncs in the same way.
An easy to use adapter which is reasonably priced and easy to set up
If you have a Windows PC without Bluetooth but want to connect an Xbox controller to play games with, this adapter works great.
You just plug it into your PC and can then connect the controller within seconds. It is very quick and simple which makes it great for travelling with and you can quickly set it up on any PC you want to.
The connection is great and seems very stable. I have played for hours without any dropouts and I haven’t noticed any latency however I don’t play super fast-paced games with my controller.
It is currently around 20 which I think is a little expensive but it does work well.
i used to connect my controller to pc using bluetooth but i had loads of connectivity issues, i decided to try this and so far im really happy, no loss of connection and works right out of the box.
Simple to set up with windows 10, gives easy way to use you xbox controllers on your pc. Great device
The adapter allowed me to connect my wireless xbox one controller to my Windows 11 PC without any problems, it was just simply plug and play. Tested the pad in fortnite and it worked with no lag or input problems. I didnt get any disconnections.
Recommened for an easy connection soloution.
I use this with my xbox controller on PC, it works great and is much more reliable than bluetooth.
Simple device, but works fine. Once plugged into the pc (tested with windows10), it starts blinking to get paired with the xbox controller (tested with xbox one s controller). Once its paired the controller can be used with the games on the pc, my son using it for roblox on pc and he says, its fun – better than using the mouse and keyboard.
Good little adapter for connecting a wireless Xbox controller, relatively straight forwards to use and the drivers automatically installed on Windows 10. Range seems pretty much what you get from being connected to an Xbox.
It’s small it’s compact and it works.
I had no trouble connecting this to my pc and I have connected a standard series x controller and an elite series 2 with no issues.
Connection seems solid and I haven’t noticed input lag whilst playing.
Very happy with this product and gaming wirelessly on PC is great.
I would recommend!
This does exactly what it should do and worked perfectly with my daughters Xbox.
It installed and paired quickly and easily.
I’m very impressed and would recommend it.
My Grandson loves his X-Box, but also tends to play games on his PC as well. He has PC wireless controllers, but has never really found one that’s any good really. They tend to be very limited in functionality, and rather flaky as well, and he tends to not bother with his Xbox games on PC with controller, just using mouse and keyboard. This works perfectly, so now he can use with a controller!
Pairing was fast, easy, and straightforward — just as well really, since the instructions (although well laid out, and good size print) are poor, ambiguous, and a little confusing. BUT, tried on 2 x Windows 11 PCs; no driver loading needed, and pairing between the dongle and controller taking only a couple of seconds.
Once connected, the controller works perfectly, without latency, and very stable. Good all-round.
Overall, a good little device, although it is quite flimsy, and the USB extension isn’t the best quality. It does work perfectly though, so although construction quality could be better, still a good solution, and recommended.
I hope that you have found this helpful.
Really good device that works instantly out of the box. Literally syncs to the controllers with xboxs own proprietry connection. Connects both new and original xbox one controllers (the ones without bluetooth).
Windows 11 automaticly picks up the drivers and it just work really well.
Considering its third party, its a bit pricey. But microsofts original adapter is becoming harder to find, so it is what it is.
All these years, back in the day of the Xbox 360 controller I ended up just running a wired control this entire time. Official Microsoft Wireless receiver was expensive and not worth the money.
Fast Forward a good 10 years.
This product however, is a game changer, COMPLETELY EFFORTLESS INSTALLATION! (Windows 10)
The pinnacle of PLUG AND PLAY!
LIFE CHANGING device!
I NO LONGER NEED to use wired 360 Controller and can just use a wireless Xbone Controller.
110% recommended! Just buy it already!
Very small and lightweight, the wireless adaptor is supplied with a short USB A male to female extension should you need it. Build quality is ok but not great, there is a rattle when I shake the adaptor but it is fully functional so no complaints here.
For testing purposes, I used the supplied extension and connected the adaptor to the USB port on the side of my keyboard, which is essentially another USB extension, connected to a USB 3 port at the back of my computer which is running Windows 11 21H2.
I followed the simple steps outlined in the supplied instructions and my Xbox one controller was connected and up and running in seconds.
At around half the price of the first party offering its a worth a go.
Just the other week I bought a carbon black Series X/S controller to replace an aging wired Xbox360 controller. I have been using it with my Windows 10 PC connected via Bluetooth which has seemed pretty solid so far, but from what I have read it has slightly more latency than when connected using a wireless dongle, so I thought I would give this one from sevkumz a try.
The adapter is nice and compact (measuring approximately 4.8cm in length (including the connector)), so when fitted to a USB port it doesn’t stop other devices from being attached to adjacent ports and it has a single button on the end to allow pairing with the controller
***** In The Box *****
1 x Wireless Adpter
1 x USB Extension Cable
1 x User Guide
***** Installation / Usage *****
Installation on my windows 10 PC was very straight forward — it was up and running in under a minute.
I simply plugged the adapter into a USB port and windows immediately recognised it and installed the appropriate driver. I then turned on the Xbox controller and pressed the pairing button and pressed the pairing button on the dongle for a couple of seconds. The lights began to flash and then after a few seconds, the indicators on both the controller and adapter were on solid and were paired together.
***** Conclusion *****
I have been playing with the adapter for a few hours now and so far, all has worked great. There may be slightly less lag than when using Bluetooth, but I have to say that I think it is negligible.
I like the small and compact size, although the dongle itself doesn’t feel particularly premium — the plastic feels a little thin and doesn’t have that solid feel (this could of course be intentional, as it would most likely help with signal).
It should support up to 8 wireless controllers at the same time, as well as up to 4 chat headsets or 2 stereo headsets — I haven’t tested this out as I only have a single controller.
I should also note that the adapter is not compatible with Xbox 360 controllers.
I haven’t really tested the maximum range of the device, but it does enable me to lay on my bed and play games on the TV, whilst my computer is located in the next room, which is the only real reason I wanted to change to a wireless controller.
I’m a bit torn with regards to price, as it costs around the same price as the official Microsoft adapter is supposed to be at around 25 RRP, but that has been selling for ages at around 45. So if you need a wireless adapter and cannot (or won’t on principle) shell out for the official one, then the sevkumz product is a good option.
This is working better than expected, once plugged into the pc and turned on I paired my Xbox controller straight up and had a few rounds on war thunder for testing purposes and it seems great, no input lag I can detect compared to my wired pc controller so it gets my recommendation, simple device, simple to use, good results, what more can you ask for.
This is great if you want to move away from having to wire your controller into your pc. It took a few attempts to sync the pad but once it was set up then it’s really good to use with any controller enabled games.
I have a pc and i always prefer an xbox controller to keyboard and mouse and this is an easy way to use a wireless controller.
If you do have a windows 10/11 machine this is really easy to use. You can literally plug it in and windows recognises it. Then just tap the button and connwct your controller and you are good to go. They do include instructions if you are using an older operating system or it just doesn’t recognise it.
Once you are connected it maintains a good stable connection without any lag.
Good value, good product.
Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it useful.
This is fantastic! It worked right out the box in seconds when trying to pair my old Xbox one controller, in fact, it’s the original OG Xbox one which the controller does not have bluetooth, so since I’ve got an S/X the controller had been pretty useless gathering dust. It was okay to play on my PC with but it was hassle constantly having to find a wire long enough to drag across my room when I wanted to play on the TV.
From opening the box to playing in big picture mode in steam took around 30 seconds. 10 of those were windows 10 automatically setting up the drivers, it recognised what it was and away we go.
I am not sure about the price, it does seem rather high but you get what you pay for and it’s a one time charge, I’d like to see the cost come down a little bit but honestly, I can’t fault the device and did exactly what I wanted it to with so little hassle. It’s saved me a lot of time having to pair and repair the bluetooth SX controller and basically brought new life to what is still a great controller. Very happy with it!
This little Xbox wireless dongle came in a very small white package.
In the box.
Wireless dongle.
USB extension cable.
Instruction leaflet.
This wireless dongle is very small which is around 5cm long by 2cm wide & the weight is around 6g.
Once I turned on my PC and connected the dongle the driver installed automatically,
There is a button at the end of the stick that you press for 3 seconds to pair with your controller.
Once I held down my Xbox button on my controller everything connected, I don’t currently have any games to test this dongle on my PC as currently, my graphics card has failed.
So I installed an Xbox wireless controller tester, to fully test the dongle and controller buttons.
Everything from the controller was being detected in the testing program .
Which tells me this dongle works flawlessly.
This dongle also works for the new Xbox wireless headphones as well.
Although they didn’t work straight off the get go. The Xbox controller synced effortlessly.
But the wireless headset required me to download all the latest windows updates. And install a new version of the Microsoft store. Also a new version of the Xbox accessory app. And finally the new Xbox app. Once I did all of the above steps, I was able to get my controller and headset paired to my PC both together.
So this little wireless dongle does exactly what is states.
And I can 100% fully reccomemd this product. And it gets the full stamp of approval.
