Super light and cut through branches like melted butter leaving a smooth clean cut. The blade is very thin but super sharp with two different sizes of teeth for finer or courser cuts. Best not to rush sawing with it to minimise the chance of bending the blade but overall I am very pleased with it and it will be replace my Stanley as the first saw to go for.
Bought it for my boyfriend as he loves tools and has most of them but didn’t have this! He loves it. Very handy and stronger than a hacksaw. He’s going to use it for the decking that needs doing. So that will probably be in 5 years time!
Invaluable for a job I was doing involving trim and architrave around door frames and skirting board. The handy size makes it usable in tight spaces and the fine blade is excellent for clean cuts. Great for fine work.
I wouldn’t use it as a main saw but definitely useful to have in the workshop.
Very wary of having the teeth on both top and bottom of the blade but I’ve yet to cut myself so it’s probably OK.
(Finger crossed)
Beautiful flexible blade, ideal for cutting flush. I have used it now on dowels and raw plugs. On the wall masking tape protected the paint. On the dowels the wood was unmarked. Its a bit odd to start with because it cuts on the draw but I found that to be a more natural movement.
Great piece of kit for fine woodworking. Easy to use flexible and a nice neat finish. Cuts on the pull so no splintering. Much better than using a large hand saw for fine work.
This little saw has totally transformed the way I think of Japanese saws. The cut is fast and as smooth as a, well you know what I mean. This saw is meant for and is great for detail and accurate work. I will be buying larger saws when the need arises.
