I am going away this Christmas to see my family in Australia, so I needed a good quality adapter that I will be able to plug in my hairdryer and hair straightener, plus I was looking to get one that has USB and USB-C ports so I can plug in my electronics such as headlines, phone and iPad to charge up. This adapter is at a very reasonable price and it is very well made so I am sure it will last me for a very long time with no issues. I am pleased with this choice and I can recommend it for sure

Great product, used in Australia – great to be able to plug in multiple items all together.
I don’t have a trip planned to Southern hemisphere until October next year, but I do happen to have an Oz to UK adapter that I could plug this into. So I know it works. This is well made and having Ng a 15w usb c means that your phone etc charges quite a bit quicker. The usb it’s are in a sensible place (i.e. nit underneath) and it’s a bonus to get a tooth brush ) shaver socket. Pleased with it.
I like these as you don’t just have the 3 pin socket, you’ve got the USBs on there too, which covers a lot of bases! However, do be careful not to overload. Not too large so easy enough for the suitcase.
Perfect adapter for taking to aus. Space to plus in a mains plug as well as usb plugs and a shaver plug. I got by with just this one plug rather than having to find several power sockets.
UK to Australia Plug Adapter
I am soon off for a visit to Australia, so it was perfect timing to be asked to test a travel adapter plug.
Australia, along with several other Southern Hemisphere nations such as NZ, China, Fiji and Argentina, have a storage plug design using three “blade pins” set at angles. This means that many “universal” travel plugs don’t actually work in these places – or if the do, the pins swivel and can be unstable.
I found:
This plug was a much better design than many – it was lightweight, with a rigid pin-arrangement. I tested it using a UK to Australia plug and found that it made a good connection
this adapter has an earth (ground) pin – making it much safer for high drain devices such as laptops, hairdryers etc
The USB connectors worked – there are 2 for the USB-A standard, and one for the newer USB-C. All charged my devices and delivered 5v DC. They could be used at the same time as the main plug.
I did a drop-test of 1 metre to a hard floor – and it survived without damage. It didn’t get hot even with the mains connected and two of the USB sockets in use.
CONCLUSION: I like this – and think it deserves a 5-star rating as one adapter will power all my devices at one, in a well built and designed product.

Whenever I travel abroad I often find hotel rooms, and in the case of Australia my relative’s home, do not have enough spare sockets which makes charging phones, tablets, watches, cameras, etc a bit of a pain. This is where these adapters come in. I have similar adapters for when we travel to Europe and the US and they work very well. I won’t be able to use this until I next travel to Australia (I wish I’d had it for my last trip earlier this year) but it seems well made and I am reasonably confident it will be useful and safe. If I spot anything else then I will update my review after my next trip.

I travel very frequently and am also stuck when I get to the hotel for a charger. As we know in 2022 most devices, including my shaver are power by USB. This design is impeccable and saves me so much headache. On average I spend about 30 on additional chargers when traveling abroad. This piece of kit is a game changer. It replicates the local wall plug on the bottom as well as gives you a UK plug in the front. Not only does it give me a UK plug but it supports 3 USB devices as well (Two Type A Legacy & 1 Type C). I have liked it ever since I opened the packet. Works well and has saved me time and money and space in my suitcase as I do not need to take 3 chargers with me. Definitely get this is you are a traveller.
I travel light when I go abroad, but this mains adaptor is one thing i couldn’t go to Australia without.
It has 3 USB ports and converts a UK type to the bizarre Australian power supply format.
Very reasonably priced indeed, I couldn’t travel there without this. It will save a lot of headaches.
Overall it is well built.

Am going to be honest I haven’t tried it as I live in London (uk) and I can’t plug it anywhere because if you look at the photos I’ve uploaded. Apart from that it looks good and strong and very useful if you live in or traveling to those counties stated in the description then you can’t plug it in anywhere but ones you can plug it in you can then plug in any plug/usb/usb c port you want to use.
