I wanted an electronic hand warmer.that had more fun control over temperature. I actually tested the temp control a bit, and in my tests, it seemed to be a accurate to within one degree. Batter life seems to be long too, but this depends on all kinds of factors.

I purchased two and overall, I would give it a good recommendation. One of the devices has a sticky button. I can’t say if it is a manufacturer defect or a perhaps something happened while I was using it.

I received rechargeable hand warmers as a gift 3 years ago and have found so many uses for them. I mainly use them as body warmers, placing them in a vest pocket or a waist pack. My original rechargeable hand warmers have 3 heat adjustments, and a battery capacity of about 4 hours when used on high. The Unigear 10,000 mAh warmers have a variable heat that is much more useful than I expected, and a battery life that truly lasts 16 hours. The powerful battery means that this hand warmer is larger and heavier than the lower power versions, but it is not a problem for me. These are definitely my favorite rechargeable warmers.

I received this awesome little thing for Christmas. I get cold easily, so my son bought me this and he was right on. Small enough to put in your pocket and I have used mine on my neck, as well. I think I need just one more, you know for my other hand, so it doesn’t get jealous. Be aware it does take 8 hours to charge.

Bought two different brands initially and these are the better choice. The charge holds all day (our office is always cold) and the temp control is very handy. Recommend this brand

I love this hand warmer! That said, I loved it until it didn’t charge one day. I had charged it twice fully and used it up. When I went to charge it the third time, it was deader than dead. I returned it and got a second one. I love this hand warmer again. I have charged this one three times and it is still working. Wish me luck. LOL!

Maybe if I turned the heat up in my home I wouldn’t need these, but to keep electricity costs down, I don’t heat most of my house. I wear thick warm clothes… and I use these little hand warmers. They heat up quickly and I can control the heat to a comfortable temp. I don’t use them all day, just now and then, and that way the batteries last a good while. I haven’t used them as battery packs, but I like having that option.

These are awesome! They heat up fast, charge fast. I think I can get 2.5 3 full charges on iPhone 11. The only odd thing is that you cannot heat and charge at the same time and you have to plug into your phone and then the hand warmer while it’s off.

This warmer has a long battery life and temp control works well.

I was gifted an Ocoopa handwarmer (the 5000mA model) and the battery life is terrible and I burn my hands on the lowest setting all the time. The Unigear 10000mA warmer outperforms the Ocoopa in every way.

I was not paid or sponsored for this review, I just have a lot of animosity towards the Ocoopa warmer because I think it’s dangerous.

    Love this after 1 week

I really appreciate the long lasting heat (105F for over 14.5 hr), which easily gets me through a winter golf day. The size is compact; the heat is two-sided; you know what temperature it’s at and you can adjust+/- as you need it; the outside is a smooth, rubber type coating; and it comes with a strap and storage bag. The only downside is the blue us a seafoam green, which is nowhere near being blue. Small sacrifice for a great working product.

I’ve had about a dozen USB handwarmers over the last 3-4 years. This one is the best. The soft texture is so much better than hard plastic, especially on cold days. 10000mAh provides a much longer battery life than some other warmers that have half of the capacity. It fits great in the hand. Already ordered a second one. A+ product.

I’ve tired 4 different type of AKA 10000mA hand warmer, but only it supports more than 10 hours usage, the other 3 10000mA hand warmer barely stays 4 to 5 hours.

Even its temperature controller is enable to change temperature by 2F, the others just supports two or three level of temperature setting.

Size is very compact and easy to carry but the others are so bulky .

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’m not in the habit of writing reviews, but with this hand-warmer I felt the need to. Before I ordered my first one of these (yes I have one of each color) I posted a question asking the dimensions. I was amazed at how quickly I got 4 replies, one had absolutely nothing to do with dimensions, and the other 3 all had DIFFERENT dimensions. So, I felt it necessary to at least clarify the size of this hand-warmer (not the box as stated in the item description). In inches it is 4.57″ x 2.36″ x 1.30″ and weighs a mere 7.17 ounces. Great size to fit in your pocket, and great shape to fit in your hand. In addition to the size and shape, it has features many others don’t have. It has fast charging capability (up to 20W with proper adapter plug) not just IN but OUT also. Yes, it’s also a fast charging 10,000 mAh battery backup! So, you’re getting a power-bank AND a hand-warmer in one device that fits comfortably in your pocket.
Unigear also makes a 5200 mAh model which is smaller (4.05″ x 2.09″ x 1.16″ and 4.97 ounces) but does not have fast charging capability and has only the USB-C plug.

I’m very much into gadgets and have to say these are superb. They get hot very quickly and last for hours. On the top setting of 55 degrees it’s almost too hot to touch. I have mine set at 50 degrees when out walking my dog and it keeps my hands warm. Only had a week but already very impressed with the heat these put out. I’ve purchased 3 more for Christmas presents. Ideal for keeping you warm when outdoors.

This is the smallest hand warmer, we have tested so far, however, its ergonomic design means that it fits more comfortably in the palm of your hand, and the even heat dissipation over the entire surface makes it more effective than most. The hand warmer is relatively simple to use, with precise temperature settings available in one degree increments from 35 to 55 degrees Centigrade, and a clear LED display for your chosen setting (which also indicates the percentage of battery charge remaining). As a power bank, the product is less practical, but it’s still a useful feature to have if you find yourself in need of a quick boost to the battery of your mobile phone.

I got this hand warmer to replace an older hand warmer that my daughter had borrowed from me. I wasn’t sure how effective this Unigear hand warmer would be, but I was surprised just how warm this thing gets.

This Unigear hand warmer came securely packed. In the box was the hand warmer, silicon lanyard, a short USB-A to USB-C charging cable, instruction manual and a nice little carry pouch. Built into the hand warmer is a 10000mAh lithium rechargeable battery.
Using the supplied charging cable, I initially charged the unit to full capacity in about 1.5 hours, it was partly charged on unboxing. The next full charge from fully discharged took about 3 hours.

The hand warmer has a proper on/off switch and a handy digital display, this show percentage battery life remaining and the temperature setting. The temperature can be adjusted in 1C steps from 35 to 55C, so running at about 40C I have had this running for about 7 hours, with some charge left. This setting is plenty warm enough when holding the hand warmer tightly, on the highest setting it does feel very hot. Not had a chance to try this in really cold weather yet, but I would imagine this will work very well at warming cold hands. I have used this held against the back of my neck when it’s been stiff and sore, it was a great relief.

This powerbank has a USB-A output port, so the 10000mAh internal battery can be used to charged mobile phones or other USB devices.
Overall, I personally think this is a handy little hand warmer that also doubles as a USB phone charger. I will be keeping this in my coat pocket during the winter.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe’re all looking for cheap ways to keep warm at the moment. This hand warmer is useful for anyone who is standing outside for a period of time (watching your kids play sport for example) or for people who have cold hands but don’t want to put the heating on, or turn it up, or wear gloves in the house.

This handwarmer looks more expensive than other ones I’ve had, and for that reason, would make quite a good gift. It comes in a quality box.

It charges fast and it is pleasant to hold. But one of the drawbacks is you get one – so you are either going to have to stand or sit with your hands together or keep passing it from one hand to another.

The heat level is warm, even at its highest setting. Personally, I would prefer it to be quite a bit warmer. This is a complaint against all the hand warmers I have ever tried though – I haven’t found any brand or type to be warm enough for me to want to hold it for hours.

You might prefer a gentle heat though, and if you do, then a good handwarmer (or two) might be just what you need. But it’s not an item I will be using regularly.

I have another hand warmer which is a bit more chunky. I prefer this one! It’s much more comfortable to hold and it has the function to set the temperature to the level you require. It heats up quickly and lasts a long time. I usually charge it for 2-3 hours before use and get a quite few uses out of it before I need to recharge again. As a cyclist, this is going to come in very handy in the winter as it’s small enough to put in my saddlebag to warm my hands up when the cold really bites. This comes with a nice carry pouch, so ideal to chuck in your bag and take it with you. It’s a bit more expensive that my other hand warmer, but I would definitely pay the extra for this one.

  37. EmmettCone says:

First of all just to get my one gripe about this product out of the way, I had read the product title and seen ‘hand warmers’ mentioned, and the box it is sent in also says hand warmers on the front. It should say hand ‘warmer’ as you only get the one. I reviewed other hand warmers recently and you did get two, so I was surprised to only find one when I opened the box.

That is the only negative though and it would seem churlish to mark the product down just for that, especially as the actual product notes are more specific. You get the hand warmer, a velvet bag, a user guide, a lanyard, and a USB cable in the small but sturdy box.

The hand warmer weighs 198 grams which is quite heavy compared to others I’ve tried but the one plus is I think lighter ones are easier to lose especially if you use them at night. I uploaded a photo of it next to a pen to give an idea of size, it is smaller than previous hand warmers I’ve reviewed so will fit easily into a pocket or glove.

It is very easy to use and comes with a generous 50% charge. There are the USB C and USB A ports which can be used to charge the device or as a 10,000 mAh power bank for other devices, and there are of course the on/off switch and the +/- buttons. The + button when long pressed will give you an accurate reading of what % of power is left. It took around 3 hours to charge I would say * product notes say 2.5-3.5 hours which seems right.

The LED display is easy to read and it really does heat up within one second! There are 21 levels of temperature adjustments from 35c-55c and up to 16 hours of battery life. There is 360 all round heating. The surface also has better grip than previous hand warmers I’ve used which have been shiny plastic, this has been coated and is all the better for it. It has a PC and ABS reinforced frame.

There is a built in temperature monitoring chip and it is flame resistant which is reassuring if on a high setting.

At 29.99 it is quite pricey but given we are all wary of rising energy bills it is a good alternative to heating. USB charging is something I do far more often now as you can charge many devices if not too powerful via your computer or TV. I would definitely recommend it.

Comes with 12 month warranty and you can contact Unigear via their website or Facebook/Instagram.

    Effective, easy to use

How depressing that this is advertised for those with Reynard’s or camping, and I’m here using it on the sofa rather than putting the central heating on! There is obviously and upfront cost to this but So cheap to use and charge lasts so long I think this can save users money in the long run. Quite a significant warming effect for a small stone!

This hand-warmer is a great size and shape and heats up really quickly. The numeric display makes it very easy to see the temperature target you’ve set with the control buttons, and the charge-level display is really clear too. The dual USB-c and USB-A connectors means it’s also the ideal power bank and works with whichever cable I remembered to pack!

The unit is supplied with a stretchy silicone wrist strap that is much more comfortable to hold than a cord one, and with a snug velvet case that makes the thing even nicer to hold. All round great design and utility, this is my favourite hand-warmer so far and very much recommended.

I already had a hand warmer but when I saw this advertised as heating up in one second I wanted to give it a try. I am very impressed by the heat up time, it is ready to use so quickly. It also has the most heat settings I have ever seen on a handwarmer. I really like that you get all the way round heating with no cold spots. It is easy to hold, just the right size. I have carpal tunnel syndrome as well as PAD so get very cold hands, when they get too cold they really hurt so the immediate heats is most welcome. It has a type A output to charge your other devices and a type C input / output to charge other devices or be charged. The screen is easy to read and shows the temperature and battery percentage. Complete with lanyard and bag . Best hand warmer I have used.

    Slick and easy to use

I’ve reviewed several hand-warmers and this is one of the better ones out there. It’s well-made, robust and is comfortable to hold. Heating up is very quick and you can feel the warmth almost instantly. The temperature can be set in single degree increments, which is incredibly useful, if you have any sort of sensitivity to heat. You can get up to 16 hours-worth of heat, depending on the temperature setting. The LED display screen is nice and clear, and you can select to see the level of charge, the current temperature, or the setting level.

Like many hand-warmers these days, this doubles up as a power-bank too. You have two ports: a USB-A and a USB-C; the USB-C is both an input and output port, whereas the USB-A is output only. These are more options than you’d often find on a power bank.

At the time of writing this review, the cost is 29.99, which is at the expensive end of the scale, but if you need instant heat, degree-controllable heat, up to 16 hours of heat and both USB-A and USB-C output capabilities, you’d go along way to beat this one.

Very easy to use and heats up extremely quickly, I have not had the opportunity to use a full charge yet but I have had it on charge and it charged 10% in about 15 minutes so, I reckon a couple of hours to fully charge from zero.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI am delighted with this handwarmer.

As an outdoorsy person, I regularly use USB-heating devices in cooler weather but this autumn/winter, I am also using them indoors too as an alternative to switching on our heating and looking for alternative methods of heating myself, rather than heating a room.

This is a compact hand-warmer measuring 11.5x6x3cm approx in an easy to grip design with a smooth, tactile coating. Unlike all other hand warmers I have used, this offers full control over the heating level with temperatures between 35-55C being selectable by the + and – rocker switch. Others tend to be pre-set at 45-55-65C heating levels whereas on this I can choose the exact temperature I prefer. I’ve had a few hand-warmers where the lowest setting has been too hot which means due to the excessive heat, I either need to wear gloves or pop it into a pocket which is wasting valuable heat and gives it a shorter running time. This handwarmer allows me to choose the optimum temperature so there is no energy wastage.

Another feature I particularly like is this hand-warmer has a sliding power switch which is flush to its body. Other handwarmers have a press-button which can be accidentally pressed, thus switching on the hand-warmer and generating heat when it isn’t wanted or maybe when the hand-warmer is packed away, eg in a bag packed with clothing. In this scenario, it is possible to smother the hand-warmer, over-insulate it and create a fire risk should it over-heat. There is far less chance of this with a recessed sliding switch which is much less likely to be accidentally switched on.

Other features are more standard including the 10,000mAh internal battery – although this hand-warmer can provide a longer warming time due to its selectable temperature control allowing the user to use it economically. It charges fast via USB-C at 20W and the charge level is indicated in the LED display window which will illuminate as soon as a USB lead is connected.

The hand-warmer also acts as a 10,000mAh power bank with the capability of fully charging a typical current smartphone twice or a tablet 1.5 times. Charging can be via the USB-A port or USB-C providing 20W Power Delivery.

There’s a silicone wrist strap (easy to fit) and a flocked drawstring bag is included too.

This is undoubtedly a favourite hand-warmer due to its flexibility re temperature settings, side switch and Power Delivery features for charging and recharging and I would order this again in an instant. Very highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis hand warmer is a little unusual in my experience as the heating level can be set to a specific degree Celsius. That is of course within the available range (45 – 55 degrees C). So if you like 42 degrees (the approximate lower limit for the danger of low temperature burns) you can set it at that. I like this a lot.

There is an LED readout which gives: the setting level, the current temperature and the charge level of the warmer. Not all at the same time but all this information is available and in single degree or percent increments.

The whole device has a great look and feel of quality about it. This hand warmer is a closer approximation to a beautiful water worn stone than any I’ve met before. I really do think that there is something primeval about it’s appeal. For thousands of years people must have fished such stones out of the embers of fires and warmed their hands. This lovely thing has all that going for it plus the benefit of being bang up to date technology.

As this warmer/power bank does not separate into two discrete units it is a bit smaller and more compact than many others I’ve examined. The result is a warmer which sits in the hand very naturally and , when it has finally reached operating temperature, seems to warm over the whole surface quite effectively. Parts of the surface are not heated as such but the heat seems to spread and reach everywhere so that I’m not noticing disappointing cold bits.

Many similar devices come, as this does, with a soft bag. IMHO the bag supplied with this warmer is the nicest I’ve seen to date. Very nice.

I observed a charge rate of 2.6A when charging this device!

I hope these opinions and observations are helpful.
