Wood Splitter, Firewood Splitter Cast Iron Wood Splitting

Although not cheap this is made from a single piece iron or steel casting covered in a varnish or glaze. The blade part is pretty sharp and made a good job of splitting the green oak logs and chunks I wanted to make kindling from using a 4lb hammer. Only downside was that the screw holes in the base were not very large in diameter so I did not use them. Even so it was still very stable on a flat surface and split each piece of wood with only 2-3 blows. I think this will prove durable and long lasting.
