The can is rather expensive but the larger filling opening helps to prevent spillage at pump. The can has proved to be much more stable in the boot of a car unlike the traditional cans.
ice looking sturdy jerry can, comes with a wide bottom so it would not fall over in the boot of your car or van unlike the old style army jerry cans, its not cheap, in fact its very expensive, and not sure how long the internal spout will last, also it would be better to have some kind of external holder for the spout as if it’s left inside the can covered with fuel it will slowly make it hard and fragile so will eventually brake, but other than that a good product.
I bought 2 of these for filling my Weightshift aircraft. I have a pretty small car with a smaller boot so normal jerry cans could not stand up and would not be very stable even if they did. The larger footprint of these makes it much easier to pop in the boot without fear of them falling over.
The spout is good though I am not sure how long they will last as the plastic feels pretty thin but with the air release screw on the rear they are really quick to empty into the tank. Really happy so far.
Ordinary Jerry cans tip easily and can be difficult to open and close if you haven’t got strong hands. The screw cap and low design of this can is much better on both counts, but that convenience is paid for in the much higher price.
These are great I have other ones
They are very sturdy and easy to empty fuel in fast with the aid of the bleed screw none of the glug glug and wait all I can say it’s not cheap but works brilliantly
I love this large capacity petrol can. And the life saving reserves I can carry if snowed down on the motorway in winter..
A squat Jerry can ideal for car boot without falling over! A very substantial Jerry can (if it had wheels I would donate it as a tank to Ukraine!) and appears to be excellent quality. I think 5L tank would have been sufficient as I only use my old Focus, but it will be perfect (as I do use a pre-War Primus petrol stove – but not whilst I’m driving!!). The can has an air-release vent to aid pouring which is useful (but don’t lose the tiny metal cap as it is not secured to tant). The filler tube, with integral filter, is retained upside-down inside the fuel tank. The gloves that were supposed to be with the Jerry can, were NOT included. However, as they will be necessary when handling the spout for refuelling, I have sent a message through to the seller asking for a pair. This small omission does not in any way affect the high quality of this product. Highly recommended!
UPDATE! Since submitting my review above, I came to dispose of the plastic wrapper in which the Jerry can came – and there were the gloves!! I have to blame old age and brain fog (but not as bad as the pea-soupers of the 1950s!)!! 6 Stars awarded as compensation!
Bought to replace aging plastic 5L jerry cans for petrol for garden equipment. They had distorted over the years and were difficult to screw cap or spout onto. 10L can is much more practical and of far higher quality. Will probably purchase another one for diesel fuel for use in car. Very pleased with purchase.
