We use this awesome projector in our backyard when the kids want to do an outdoor sleepover with their friends. Attached it to a tripod, connect power to it, and your good to go! The picture quality is superb! Sharp and vivid colors pop out at great clarity. We did buy a portable projector screen to bring out the brightness and colors more. Although the speakers aren’t that good, I highly recommend attaching an external audio source. But for the price and quality it puts out, I highly recommend this product! A++
Other projectors I’ve seen in the past shut down after a while. Its been over a week and it still works grea
I like how compact it is and gives off a nice picture. It’s great for indoor and outdoor screenings. I love that it connects to my phone and I’m able to cast from it. The speaker has pretty good sound quality and recommend using the Bluetooth mode. It’s great for anyone traveling as well.
This device does not have android like D2 but it’s pretty good I love the way it reflects the black even in a lot room. The speakers not all that great but connect a Bluetooth to the TV stick and it’s boss. It gets the job done . You have to connect it to an electric outlet therefore extension is needed an a tipod
This is a little guy that puts out 720p although they claim it supports 1080p. It’s enough for smaller applications such as in-house smaller projection screens. Does not have bluetooth, but a Roku stick or Amazon stick will circumvent that. It comes with a remote and thankfully can be mounted onto a tripod which really helps with placing it at the correct height.
This isn’t a projector that you use for big screen viewing, but for kids or just to have a little fun at home it is perfect. Simple to use, and did I mention that it really looks cute?
What I like about this is the mobility and compact of the unit.
This will play from a USB stick or from hdmi input. Comes with a couple cords to plug in the back. I didn’t have anything to plug in by the hdmi but my son hooked his ps4 up and was playing through the projector and looked like it worked good. I was able to play a movie from the usb stick. Hooked my phone up but it did not read anything from it.
Remote worked ok. Was not sure of some of the buttons because not labeled on all of them.
Sound is really weak and the book tells you so. Plan on having a little wired speaker to plug it into in order to hear the sound.
I think one of the good things is there is a way to mount this on a tri pod to raise it up higher.
The screen does get larger and remember the further away then the dimmer it gets and it’s not bad.
I’m happy with this one and I would be using the hdmi part for when DJ gigs come up I can use this for the entertainment part for the videos.
I belive you and I will have Good Luck with this and seems to me it will last for a long time as long no abuse comes to it.
See ya next showing time.
i dont have nor want a TV and decided to get this projector as replacement. it works great and the picture quality is crisp and awesome!
If you are not a painter, this review may not be for you. Just saying.
So, assuming you understand I’m reviewing from an artist perspective, let’s dive into it.
1 – Projector can only read “plain” jpeg files for stills and will display an error whenever you try to project a file with embedded metadata. To avoid this issue, save your jpeg as “Save As (jpeg)” and not as “Export”. Do not attempt to use “export” from Photoshop since those files include layer and color data this projector cannot understand, just use “Save As” to purge all metadata from the file and you’ll be fine.
*Please note, Max JPEG/JPG size is 15000 x 8438 px. Anything bigger may return a file error.
2- Projector is equipped with a 3/8 tripod screw mount on its underside. Tripod mount is unobstructed, you can adjust to any (vertical) angle vs base parallel (as a DSLR). Tripod mount is not included. Think of it as the mount under your camera, it accepts 3/8, the mount or the tripod system is your own. As long as the mount is 3/8, you can use extender arms, horizontal arms (or anything you normally use with a DSLR camera). The projector weighs about two pounds, be sure to use counterweights when using a horizontal extender.
3- Controller is IR and requires two AAA batteries (not included). IR sensor is located on the back of the projector (so you need to stand behind). Controller does not control focus. Focus is managed by a mechanical slider on top of the proyector. This is ok at this price point, also, this is ok for my needs since normally I’ll stand in front of the proyector to copy the image onto the canvas.
4- Colors are surprisingly vivid (at low light). Not good for color proofing though, but good enough for using a color scale to identify hues and shades. I still suggest you use a proper gray scale over a calibrated light source to identify shades since the projector image can get easily contaminated with other light sources such as night/ambient light. Still, the image is vibrant enough to identify hues with a color matching guide – just make sure you are in absolute darkness, and you don’t have nightlight contaminating your values.
5- Customer Support replays quickly. I like that.
Bottom line: If you are an artist and you comprehend terms like focus distance and image size, this inexpensive projector will do wonders for you and save you a lot of time re-drawing your paintings on your canvas for painting. There is also a storage case sold by the manufacturer witch i think is ideal for long time toragege, but ill be revieving that on a latter time.
Love this little projector! So easy to move around and either set on a flat surface or mount to a tripod. It’s not the strongest and does require the ambient light on the surrounding space to be low for it to really get a clear image but that’s as expected. Does come with a little remote to control the volume on the internal speaker, but this cannot be controlled by the unit itself so I would recommend not losing the remote – ha!
We even set it up on our patio projecting towards a blank side of the house to watch a football game recently and it was great! Simply plugged our Apple TV into it via HDMI and it was good to go.
The mini projector 1080p look really cool in person. I was not expecting it to be as big because on the pictures it looks like it would be super small. That shocked me a bit but I was still happy with the quality and the features this item has to offer. The projector I bought was yellow and it was really cute. The pricing was average in my opinion but it was definitely worth buying. My wife and I always use it when we are watching big sports events or for movie nights with the family. It makes it look like if we are in the theaters. I would recommend to buy a big projector screen so that it looks better. Overall, it was a really nice projector and I’m super happy that I bought it for my family.
This is a nice little projector. It has a compact design and is easy to use. It produces a nice sharp picture and can be focused to fine tune the sharpness of the picture. It also is designed to isolate the lens from any debris making its way behind it. I’m am happy with this product.
This Mini Projector 1080p Supported, 2022 Upgraded Video Projector, ETOE Movie Projector for Cartoon, Children’s Gift, Compatible with HDMI/USB and TV Stick is easy to run, has a great picture, sharp features, clear, focused and not blurry. Colors are dynamic, not faded. The fan is quiet so sound can be heard adequately. Can be hooked up to external speakers if you wish. Full HD 1080p supported. Great for family or kids. Can be connected with HDMI, USB, and AV ports, this mini projector can be connected to a TV Stick, laptops, speakers, and smartphones. I recommend this product.
This projector is simple and easy to use. It will provide a good image in a darkened room. The focus is manual, and the brightness limits its utility slightly, but it is really aimed at a market point where people want an inexpensive solution for a portable projector and this unit delivers that for sure. I have projectors that cost twice as much and work under more light conditions, but they take a computer science degree to make them work. This one you just plug into your computer and turn it on. Very nice user interface. Nice product.
This is a review of the ETOE D1 (A1121) Mini Projector, with an ASIN of B0B6ZP22CD.
It’s a very cute projector, and does a good job at its stated role, though, again, there are some downsides.
Regarding negatives:
* Focus – at the smaller end of the scale of possible image sizes, the optics are such that it’s difficult to get the whole picture in focus. This becomes much easier at medium-to-large image sizes, so, for most situations, this shouldn’t be much of an issue.
* Value – at the time I’m writing this, it appears the same unit is simultaneously being sold on Amazon under multiple brand names and consumers would be well advised to compare the value propositions between them. Interestingly, ETOE appears to be the OEM, so it’s an odd situation.
* Size – while it is adorable, it’s not as small as parts of the listing may make it seem. I think packaging it into the rounded yellow enclosure may have actually resulted in it being less “mini” than it would have otherwise been. In short, pay attention to the actual dimensions. (Listed as 5.98″ x 3.94″ x 6.77″)
* HDMI-CEC – this probably is unimportant in the projector’s intended role, but it doesn’t appear to support HDMI-CEC. I think it’s likely a safe bet that it also doesn’t support HDMI-ARC, but I’ve not tested that.
And now on to the happy land of the positives:
* Image Quality – the output of this is far, far better than I would have expected, especially knowing it’s only 720 native and with my own background of properly pricey projectors. (That said, given that it supports 1080 input with downscaling, you may benefit from explicitly setting 720 mode on your input sources, if available, so that autodetect doesn’t inadvertently worsen your picture.)
* Focus – in contrast to my negative above, it’s worth noting that, at medium-to-large image sizes, the issue I mentioned not only doesn’t apply, but focus is actually easy. Also, the focus ring has a little handle on it which makes it simpler to focus this unit than some other mini projectors. (I think you can see the handle in one of my unboxing pictures.)
* User Interface – this has a menu system in it that’s very straight-forward and it also requires two pushes of the off button to shut the projector down, which seems like a great feature to have on a unit meant for children, so that it’s hard to turn it off by accident in the middle of something.
* Remote – the remote has a great feel, so much so that it was very noticeable to me. Frankly, I wish more remotes were this nice.
* Noise – while it’s definitely not silent, I would characterize the fan sound as “generally unobtrusive.” It’s there, but reasonably quiet and I stopped noticing it quickly.
* Tripod Mount – a feature I’ve had some fun with, this includes a tripod-threaded (-20, apparently) mounting socket on the underside. This makes all sorts of creative orientations easy .. and the projector is perfectly happy to flip its output in each direction, so this really is a handy thing for them to provide.
In summary, I’d say it works quite well, though there are enough downsides that it seems more deserving of 4 stars than 5, but it really is a good little unit, and so cute I feel bad not giving it a better rating.
This is my kind of projector…simple and intuitive to use.
There are no apps or special software needed.
Just plug in the provided DC power supply, and your video feed via USB or HDMI and watch it on the wall bigger than life.
Its not 4k, or even 1080, but it’s not bad, as long as you don’t scale it up too large.
It will process 1080 feeds, but it’s still going to project them at 720 resolution.
I’ve enjoyed videos at 720 resolution with the player I’ve had for the past 15 years and have never even wished for higher resolution.
This unit has a nice little remote control for convenience.
It has little silicone rubber pads on the base to keep it from sliding/moving on smooth surfaces.
Now for some nitpicking:
I don’t care for the color of the projector being bright yellow.
However, I’m not going to have it sitting out all the time, so it’s not too big of an issue.
The lanyard is a goofy feature as this machine is way too big and heavy to have it hanging on your wrist, and it needs to be sitting on a stable surface to project an image on the wall that won’t make you seasick trying to watch it.
On a very positive note, the brass 1/4″-20 threaded insert on the bottom for tripod mounting is a fantastic feature.
Use a tripod and you’re not bound to tables or other furniture, or having to move them around, to set this unit on.
This is a nice mini projector, easy to set up, takes up very little space, nice clear picture, so portable!
~~Pros~~
– Super easy set-up
– The image is pretty bright
– The image was clear and we could see details
– You can use a Bluetooth speaker with your phone
– The focus wheel works well
– Noticed that it has a screw hole on the bottom middle for a tripod
~~Cons~~
– Not much sound at all
– Must use USB or HDMI connection
– There isn’t a way to elevate or raise this
– No carrying case
– The focus wheel handle slides to the very side of the indent it’s in making it hard to turn the other way
We got it to 56″ on our 120″ screen. The projector bottom is rounded so it’s not stable when propping it up to raise the projection. We connected our cell phone and used a USB-C to HDMI connector and watched Netflix. Since the sound was so terrible from the projector, we used a Bluetooth speaker and had a great experience. This is a quality and fun no frills projector. With no carrying case, keep the box and the foam inserts as it makes a great way to transport it safely.

Diamond’s Star Rating System (What do my star ratings mean?):
1 STAR – Completely unusable, would request a refund
2 STAR – Meets minimum viable product requirements, wouldn’t purchase it again
3 STAR – It does what it should, but in a non-spectacular way, I may recommend it, but definitely with reservations
4 STAR – I like it. It is solid quality and delivers as advertised, I would purchase it again and recommend it to a friend
5 STAR – I love it. It meets or exceeds all of my expectations and is high quality, I would purchase it again and would openly promote it to friends
My son wanted to play some of my old Xbox 360 games but doesn’t want a TV in his room. He picked this projector out and it works great with the older Xbox. We are waiting on the projector screen but I just tried it out to see how easy it was to set up and it was a breeze, the remote control is a little touchy. I can already see its crisp and clear. It’s very easy to adjust the picture size and is very quiet to. He will be using it in his room very soon.
This is good Mini Projector, the quality its ok, it can be better but its a very small projector and its convenient to take it anywhere
Easy to use projector. I simply plugged in in ROKU stick into HDMI and focused for nice pictures. Not 4K but good quality for a projector under $100.
Sound is great for such a small device. You can hear the fan but not too bad compared to most projector’s fans.
It’s little but not as small as I expected from “mini”.
The only negative I can find with this projector (beside not 4K) is you can’t adjust the angle of picture so projector needs to be directly in front (or behind) screen.
Well designed “mini” projector. Good value for the price.
This cute little projector is very powerful and easy to use. The display resolution is very good and can be used indoors and outdoors. Good for backyard movies or window displays!
This is a pretty simple and quality at-home projector for movie nights or playing video games. I’m using it for my Switch, and it connects seamlessly. The projector is also very portable and lightweight. It weighs approximately 1.71 lbs, and it is VERY easy to transport around. There is a 1/4-inch screw that allows for mounting on a tripod. The projector is also surprisingly quiet. The fan running when there is no audio playing was observed to be at around 45 dB, and the highest volume was observed to be at around 75 dB. Wished the HDMI cable could be a little bit longer (measured at ~39 inches), but it is no biggie. In addition, there is no lens cap, and there is no carrying case included. It’s a bummer, but at least I’m pretty happy with the mini projector. The remote doesn’t include AAA batteries. Luckily, I have a bunch laying around. Overall, this is is pretty nice mini projector I would recommend 11/10, especially for the price tag.
I got this to project images onto cloth for tracing, works great. Very easy to get set up and connected. Images look good and color is great.
There’s much to love about this Etoe Projector, with a few drawbacks.
This projector comes with a small instruction booklet in English, German, Italian, French, Spanish, and Japanese. It’s fairly complete and informative, and well illustrated, but the print is tiny.
Although this is my first projector, I figured out most of it without resorting to the instruction booklet. This projector is well designed, intuitive, and boasts a nice yellow color.
You can stick a USB flash drive into its USB port, and directly play the movies that are on the drive. This means you don’t need to lug a laptop around. But you can also connect this project to your laptop with an HDMI-to-HDMI cable (included).
The HDMI cable is short, only about 40 inches long.
This projector has a built-in speaker. It’s fairly loud — when it works. But note the following:
I played MP4 files on this projector from both a USB drive and from my laptop (connected via the HDMI cable). I got great images and sound from the USB drive. But when I played an MP4 file from my laptop, the projector projected the images, but its speakers were silent. I got sound from my laptop’s speakers, but not from the projector’s speaker (though I saw the images on both my laptop and from the projector).
It seems if you connect a laptop, you must rely on its speakers. If you plug in a USB drive with the movies, you can rely on the projector’s speaker.
This projector has an 1/8″ AUX jack for headphones or external speakers. But I’m guessing if you’re feeding the MP4 file from a laptop, you’ll have to connect the speakers to the laptop, not to the projector.
A remote control is included. It’s the only way to control the projector’s sound features (mute and volume control). Lose this remote, and you won’t be able to control the sound on this projector when playing movies from a USB flash drive. (You could still control the sound via the laptop if you’re playing files from that).
The remote is cheap, flimsy plastic. It bends a bit when I press it. It requires two AAA batteries (not included).
The projector’s bottom has a screw socket so you can mount it on a tripod.
This projector can rotate its image, depending on whether you’re projecting from a screen’s front or back, or “hanging this device from a ceiling” (who does that?).
You’re advised to email the manufacturer after buying this projector, in order to get a software update.
Some drawbacks:
* This projector has no height adjustable front leg. If I want to tilt it up, to aim the image at the screen correctly, I must place a book beneath its front. Yes, I can screw it onto a tripod, but what if I want to travel light, without a tripod, and simply place this projector on a table? A height adjustable front leg would have been nice.
* The USB port is 2.0. Why not 3.0, which has been the standard for many years now?
* No mute or volume control buttons on the projector, only on the remote control. Remotes can get lost or broken. Plus, I like to travel light to conventions without having to bring a remote.
On the whole, I like this projector. A height adjustable front leg, and volume controls on the projector itself, would have made it perfect.
This is a great projector in a lot of ways, an XD to keep it short I’ll explain why:
#1. 720p HD is one step below 1080p HD, but the difference is generally pretty hard to notice unless you are watching a new show with a huge amount of detail, like The Mandalorian….and even then it looks great.
As far as older movies like The Godfather, The Exorcist, Sleepless in Seattle, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Jaws, Rambo, Scarface, etc… you aren’t even going to be able to tell it the difference. Movies filmed before 2018 or so will just pretty much look the same as 1080p HD because they weren’t filmed with a bunch of intricate CGI included in the content.
The housing is dust-proof, which will stop overheating and other issues.
Unless you want to connect a USB soundbar, you are going to be relying on a 5 Watt speaker, which is fine for one or two people…maybe a group of 4 if people are quiet. If you want it to be louder just simply attach any USB speaker, as big as you want.
40,000 hour lamp life… That’s awesome at this price!
I love the fact that you can stand this projector up as a tower! Like a PlayStation!
Speaking of PlayStation you can attach your Playstation or Xbox to this projector and play video games on a huge surface up to 100″ diagonally (measured corner to opposite corner.) You just need a white wall and a dark environment.
It comes with an HDMI cord so you can plug it into your PC or laptop and the stream from the Netflix website, YouTube, etc.
If you really want the most efficient and easy setup, I recommend you buy a media stick to use with this projector. That way you don’t have to connect via phone or laptop or PC.
A media stick is about the size of a pack of gum, you stick them in the HDMI slot in the projector and it will give you thousands of options of things to watch. You’ll have free movie channels, free access to YouTube, you can sign into Netflix or Hulu, ESPN+ for football season, Disney+, etc.
Get an Amazon Firestick or a Roku 4k Stick for $45
This projector is so small that you could carry it along with the charger and your media stick and both remote controls in one of those mini backpacks you see 7-year-olds walking around with.
I love the fact that it is yellow… It puts me in X Games mode!
It doesn’t have a few of the things I like to see, like Bluetooth 5.1 or Android OS, but at this price I would not expect those features.
For the price this is an amazing projector… And the company is reliable.
A+ for it’s quality and value
Absolutely love this projector. It’s so clear and even on a bumpy wall without a projector screen IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY, it was still so clear. I can only imagine what it will be like late at night and with the proper set up. It has all of the connections I need for my firestick and to Bluetooth it to my speakers! It doesn’t have the super loud projector sound that I usually hear either. Great addition to my home
