Even though I have my bbq on patio slabs I always use a protective mat underneath more for if any fat or oil spills it dose not damage the surface of the patio this is a lot bigger than the ones I have used in the past so have plenty of space for the bbq
It is really easy to clean if anything is spilt on it just a quick wipe over and done
I leave it down for the whole of the summer and it is standing up well to all the rain we have had lately
This is one good patio mat. It is durable. I think you can leave it outdoor for a long time without any damage.
The surface feels like plastic. But I think it is actually silicone. It has a lot of fraction and static. I tried to use lighter on it for a short period of time, it does not burn. So it is fireproof. And I am sure it is water proof too.
I saw the description says it is made up of 3 layers. But it does not feels thick at all. The only thing I want this mat be better is the size. I wish it is bigger.
