    As described and as advertised.

Very easy to use. Slightly different from most other branch loppers we’ve tried. With these one arm is acting as the lever rather than both. This does take a little bit of getting used to but might be good for people with some dexterity issues.

These are advertised as lightweight and they are ridiculously lightweight. This could again be good for people with dexterity issues and as long as you are not needing to cut through extra tough or extra thick branches we think you should be okay with these.

Because these are so lightweight we have concerns about longevity but this might be unfounded. Only time will tell.

These have been tested on some winter pruning roses and as long as you stay within the diameter (of the branch your cutting) limit these provide a nice clean cut and are easy to use.

Very impressed with these and they are just the perfect size. I’ve got some small secateurs and some really long ones, where the arms extend out. The problem with those ones is that they are just so heavy, and if you have arthritis like me then you just can’t use them. These ones however are perfect. They sit right in the middle size wise and are every bit as good at cutting as the other ones I have.

I’ve attached some photos so you can hopefully see that these are a really solid build, and an excellent design in the way they have made the cutting blades, which enable them to cut through thick branches effortlessly.

Rock solid build and they really are super light. Perfect size as well.

The plastic moulded casing for these makes them very light but they are still very sturdy. Cut easily and good action on the movement.

I was so surprised when I opened the item to find that the handles are made from plastic, they feel quite hollow, which in turn makes these super light compared with the traditional metal ones, however let me tell you that from what I can see they work really well and they seem very strong too. The blade itself is metal and has a couple of metal bolts, other than that the rest of it is plastic.

It’s that time of year where things need to be cut back and trimmed and I think for the current price of 15.99 I think this is more than reasonable to pay. I do wonder about the long term use of these if they’ll become less strong with continued use however only time will tell.

Exactly what it says…. Super light!

These cutters are great because they are made really well with good quality materials which are nice and strong and sturdy. I think the cutters are very durable and will withstand a lot of usage and will last me a long time. I like that they have been able to cut through branches in my garden easily and without any issues as the cuts I’ve done with them have been clean and cut straight through on my first try. I think the size of them is good and I can easily clean them and store them away. I find that they are easy for me to use, lightweight and comfortable to hold. They aren’t too heavy or bulky at all! I’ve not had any issues with them anyway and I think the value for money on them is great. I happily recommend them and give them a thumbs up!

I like this tool. I ordered this for cutting my hedge in the over grow garden. I like it because it is light weight . I will recommend it for elderly people who likes gardening .and they find metal tools heavy . It is light weight , easy to carry and efficient. I like its cutting part, it has one side blade and other side sturdy plastic . I like it’s rubber grip handles . I like this product . I will definitely recommend it.

    Light weigh

At 40cm, these are much shorter than the Fiskars loppers that we normally use. They fit a niche between secateurs and the loppers with longer handles. The Amazon text says that the anvil blade is suitable for “wet wood” – I assume they mean with sap – whereas the text on the packing says dry, dead branches. I think these are meant for autumn / early spring cutting back. They provide a nice clean cut like a good pair of secateurs. As the blade is stainless steel, it will be interesting to see how long it holds an edge, and how effectively it can be sharpened, so for the moment it’s four stars.

These loppers are very light and small especially when compared to normal loppers. They work in a slightly different way to what I’m used to, rather than typical sissor action, one handle acts like a lever which surprisingly makes cutting branches easier. I have my doubts how long these loppers will last, I’m not sure that the materials used to make them so light wont break a lot faster than heavier ones.

This is a super product, very well-made, great quality, and extremely comfortable to use. The blade is good and sharp, with a precision, even cutting edge that’s nice and sharp, making very light work of thinner branches etc.

The best way I can describe this is a cross between secateurs and loppers, where one isn’t ‘man’ enough, the other too much and cumbersome. This is a great in-between, and a brilliant addition to your garden tool selection. It’s actually one of those things you didn’t know you needed until you got one!

The cutters are as described, very light-weight and comfortable to use, the main body being fibreglass. Although very light, these are not in the least flimsy, or insubstantial feeling — not at all.

In summary, having now tried (red-robin tree branches), I’m really pleased with these. Great quality, excellent value, recommended!

I hope that you have found this helpful.

    Really light, easy to use.

These arrived well-packed. They are lightweight and sharp which is good for me. They are a good length so would reach higher branches. It feels really well-made and strong. Recommended

    Light and sharp

This tree lopper is mainly in plastic, only one side blade is made of stainless steel. With this material selection, it is light in weight, easy to carry and use. Highly recommend for gardening. Good value of money.

    Perfect performance

I took these with me to the allotment today to do some tidying up…. I oiled them the night before which I feel is important to look after your tools and help them function properly….
This is really good quality easily tidied up some honeysuckle bushes that were getting to big… Then moved onto some small trees that needed cutting back…
    Another task easily completed…..
Just keep them oiled and they look like they’ll last a good while….
    And definitely sharp and precise…
    For the price highly recommended….

These tree loppers are unbelievable light yet do the job admirably. In fact for higher level cutting – when on ladders, I prefer them as they’re so light and easy to hold.

They have a good sharp metal blade which cuts easily through our fast growing tree/bushes. It cuts against a reinforced plastic – not metal but it’s very tough and I haven’t found this to be a poor compromise at all.

When opened up fully I think you can cut through 15 – 20mm diameter branches at most. I’m really happy with them and know that it’ll be especially useful for pruning the tops of our trees/bushes as they’re so light and easy to use.

Amazingly light yet strong tree loppers

These small branch loppers come pruning shears are much better in action than I expected. The first impression given the lightweight is that they might not be very robust. However, on use they are impressive. Strong but light.

Being constructed mostly of plastic the shears are light in weight and will not be prone to rust. They also have a levered cutting action to create a multiple of the force applied on the handles to the cutting blade and anvil. I have some doubts about the anvil but after a short bit of use, I think these shears are fine. It cut through the willow branch in the photo very easily with a nice clean cut.

Owing to the length of the handles these would make ideal pruning shears for sharp spiky bushes and the like. Though anvil-type shears are not recommended for pruning roses.

I thought they were good value for money.

    Clean cu

These garden clippers are really lightweight but still work quite well. The red parts on the handles provide good grip and the fact that they are lightweight makes them easier to use if you are small in stature (like me).
The blade is really sharp and they have a quirky design where the blades don’t move quite like you would expect them to.
There are a couple of drawbacks to these clippers though, mine arrived quite oily so there was oil on the handles and lights. Also there’s only one blade and it meets a piece of plastic this means that cutting through thick branches and twigs it’s not as easy as it could be if there were two blades. So far I’ve been using these to cut back a really old grapevine and it’s made the light work of that.
Another added bonus is that it comes with a plastic cover for the blade which is good for safety and its cover has a small hole in it so you can hang these for easy storage.

    Well designed

Materials feel good enough but the super light aspect of it is that the handles feel like hollow plastic. Feels durable enough but doesn’t give me long term confidence in the product but it may just be my own mind that’s used to using full metal tree loppers.
The blades are sharp enough but I’d like to have seen them a bit sharper but for most jobs should be fine. I generally just these on thicker bush stems when doing a bit of tidying up and on bushes in general.
They do cut better than they feel like they’re going to. I’m use to the typical hinge opening so when it’s only the handle that moved on these it threw me off a little. Does seem like that’s a few moving parts but I found it a little bit easier to actually cut some branches than I normally do.

At 17.99 these are reasonably priced compared to others, I’m not too confident they’ll last as the way they work adds in another moving part section but it could be better engineered for longer life span. I’ll keep it up to date as things go though with more use.

I ordered these for my mum.

She’s elderly (86) and absolutely adores her garden and all plants.
She can’t bend or lift like she used to but likes to remain independent and do what she feels she can, so these are ideal for her to prune with.

The handles are non slip and easy to grip and she doesn’t struggle holding them up.
They work really well and are sharp and strong so that she doesn’t have to apply a lot of pressure to make cuts.

They are great for branches but also for small shrubs that need cutting back where you might normally use secateurs, she can use these and not have to bend too much which can be painful for her.

I’m really very happy with them.
I hope this review helps you.

I count myself as very fortunate in living in one of the outer suburbs of Leeds, surrounded by many beautiful country walks, and miles of paths that wander by lakes and through woods.

About the only downside of this good fortune is that many owners of properties fail to trim the hedges and bramble patches on their properties that overhang publkic footpaths. It’s quite normal to have to make signisficant detours around the offending patches in order to avoid getting scratched up.

With these lopping shears, it has become practical to throw them in my pocket when setting off, due to their compact size and incredibly light weight. They make very quick work of offending branches, snipping through branches up to an inch wide with hardly any effort at all.

I have also used them to tidy up the apple and lilac bushes in my own back garden ready for the winter, and they’ve done a brilliant job on them. This is an excellent pair of shears with an amazingly low weight (about 322 grams last time I weighed them), a very low price, and are recommended if you have a small garden to keep neat or if you routinely get scratched up by hedges that owners don’t keep tidy.
