I ordered this early hours of Wednesday morning and had it delivered to me the next day , considering how far away I love being somewhat rural was amazing but the product overall is amazing , I matched this with my rtx4090 gaming pc and if your out there trying to toss the coin if you should upgrade or not just bite the bullet and do it , your holding your pc back from so much without doing it.
Schner Ultrawide QD-OLED.
Hoffe konnte helfen (:
Once you have tried OLED you will never come back to LCD: vibrant colors, true blacks. The ultra-wide format is also very immersive when playing or watching a movie, and the additional horizontal space makes easy to replace side by side monitors when working. The only minus is that it does not come with a HDMI cable so be sure to order one if you cannot use Display Port.
As usual, fast delivery by Amazon.
I finally took the plunge and bought this gaming monitor. Its early days yet but the picture is superb, no dead or stuck pixels. Its a pleasure to use. I have read text on it and am not concerned, clear enough to me.
Being a oled monitor it is quite pricy however the image quality makes up for it, use it for gaming and the picture looks crystal clear and vibrant, and watching media looks just as good,
The stand the monitor comes with is sturdy and doesn’t take up much desk space
Overall it’s the best oled ultra wide you can get for your money
Brilliant. Amazing colours, inky blacks and blinding whites. No detail crushed in dark areas. Generally amazing. Buttery smooth 165hz. Only downside is every 4 hours of use you are prompted to do a panel refresh which makes the screen black for 6-8 mins. However if you don’t want to do that you can tell the monitor to do the panel refresh when it goes into standby
Awesome monitor – a massive upgrade over my previous gigabyte ultrawide (also 3440×1440, but 144Hz).
I can’t comment on burn in yet, as I’ve only had it for a month. There is a pop up after 4 hour of use (cumulative), which asks you to refresh the screen (takes 6-8 mins). You can set it to do this automatically when you turn the display off.
Per pixel dimming is now a must for me – unparalleled image in my opinion.
I haven’t noticed any text fringing either (windows 11 fresh install with no workaround tweaks).
Would highly recommend, 5/5
Ottimo acquisto
Despite slow swithing between HDR modes and “laptop noise” of cooling system, this monitor is perfect for now.
Reading the reviews from the internet made me fear from bad daylight performance, reflections, coil whine and colour distotrions on the edges of text. Luckily all proven to be non existent for me.
+ Coil whine: Maybe I was lucky, or the new models have been adjusted slightly, however I don’t have any coil whine.
+ White: Using the display in a bright room during daylight may be problematic for some, as the cold (blue-ish) white of IPS minotors becomes purpleish warm white. This is luckily not a problem for me.
+ Brightness: I have settled with SDR and 25% brightness for most cases, as I use the display for 8-9hr workdays and 2-4 hours gaming at nights, mainly because the HDR brightness is too much for me. I still enjoy the perfect blacks and contrast the display delivers.
+ Reflections: They are only there when the display is turned off. I really don’t see anything disturbing when I am working because I was able to place my desk at a window with a view to south.
+ Colour distortion (green/red edges) and text display: I use 100% scale
+ Size: My original plan was 2x 24″ (16:9) but I this 34″ (21:9) was a better choice, strictly looking at the size.
– Price: Yes, it costs a lot, but my opinion is that is it worth it.
– Longevity: We need to see. The internet is full of reviews from mainly negative experiences with burn-in, but there are a few who states that with some careful steps (dark mode, hidden taskbar, screen turn off set to 2min, obeying regular pixel refresh, and especiall lower brightness) the screen are in prime condition after years of use . I am also hoping to belong to the latter category as I plan to use this display in the next 3…5 years.

A tratti strepitoso… Rifatevi gli occhi con Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, The last of us o titoli che piacciano a voi.
Great monitor if you are looking for the best 24-25 inch class. Great build quality and a lot of cool features.
What a great upgrade from an old cheap AOC G2460PF 144hz TN Panel, first time owning a 2k monitor and I am very pleased with the performance, colour, gamma. Can’t see any ghosting at all on the motion test.
Things that I may dislike is a bit of a blacklight bleed at the bottom corners of the screen but it’s not really noticeable to my side vision unless you really stare at it, very visible through the camera. Also would like to mention that you might want to position your monitor away from the windows, so that the light doesn’t reflect to the screen, as it can be slightly annoying due to the slight glares from natural lighting.
Update “23/04/23”
Because the legs of the monitor are a bit on the large side for my desk which is 2ft in depth, I ordered a wall bracket which was 100×100 mount and it pushed the monitor back another 6 inches which was perfect, so you might want to consider this if you have a small desk in depth. I still cant get over how good this monitor is and I still havent heard no fan noise.
Initial review of the Dell Alienware AW3423DWF
Dated 13/4/23
I ordered the monitor on the 12/4/23 and to my amazement the monitor came the next day thanks to DPD for their quick service.
First off I was going to order the monitor on Dell`s own website as it was the exact same price on Amazons site but I happened to look at Amazon and it was being sold and despatched by Amazon as I like to deal with them because of their first class returns policy.
Upon receiving the monitor in its boxed form, I looked to see if there were any big rips/tares and there was only a small rip in the corner. “Good Job DPD”
Another thing I must say as well, Amazon`s reviews on the monitor seem to be lumped in with the brother of this monitor, “The Dell Alienware AW3423DW which is more geared towards the Nvidia side” which can be confusing. So know what review you are reading.
The setup for this monitor “The DWF Version” is very straight forward as is with all Dell`s monitors, Just screw the feet into the stand then click the stand into the back of the monitor.
Now the main Setup, First off when it’s up and going via display port cable “165hz”. You need to go onto Dell`s website and download their latest firmware update and install it via the USB uplink cable that is supplied with the monitor. Also there is a monitor driver you might want to grab as well. Also go into Windows 10 / 11 and make sure you enable the HDR mode.
When I turned on the monitor and ran a few tests, it blew me away. Honestly you do have to see it to believe it how an Oled looks and the whole DWF model just has the look of class when sitting on your desktop.
Again the monitor has NO dead pixels and I have yet to hear this fan and I have been using it for 10hrs now.
As for the reviews on Amazon, as I said before, 2 different monitors are in together in the same reviews and you need to weed out the ones that actually refers to this monitor “DWF”.
All in all so far, the monitor is without doubt the best I’ve ever owned and also the most expensive, I mean I can’t even take a picture that would justify it to be honest but I tried.
If you have the spare cash then I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to you. You have also that 3 year warranty from Dell and if you get it from Amazon you also have the early stages peace of mind.
Good luck and I hope you enjoy it if you’re going to make a purchase.
Zgern:
Alles in allem:
Bought this 7 days ago to go with my new pc
i9 13th gen intel, Nvidia 4080 RTX. MSI Z690 Pro gaming board
flying this monitor can play everything on Ultra, colours are awesome and vivid, contrasts are fantastic, the curve makes it so much more immersive absoloutly love this monitor.if your thinking of buying one DO IT you wont be disapointed Good Luck guys
After reading many reviews and watching various YouTube videos showcasing this monitor, I finally took the plunge. I upgraded from an Asus PG348Q IPS ultrawide and this is a massive upgrade. I have an RTX 4090 gpu and I feel this is a match made in heaven!! High frame rates and next to zero input lag are the obvious improvements going to oled and this panel is absolutely gorgeous to game with. Perfect blacks and incredible colour space really immerse you in the games. I’m totally hooked now on going through my library and seeing the improvements in my titles!
Despite some new pretenders to the throne becoming available including one from Alienware themselves this is still the king for those with Nvidia graphics cards, glossy screen that pops, perfect PPI and the most stunningly vibrant OLED screen I’ve ever seen at this size.
Cannot fault it, basically perfect.
That’s what she said. No actually the monitor is really nice, I read some reviews about the text being harder to read and see or so, but I don’t see the difference from my other monitors. The colors are nice, also the pixel refresh function actually nice not only for the monitor but also for me after 4 hours I get reminded to do a break. The seller done everything for me DDP and stuff the monitor was shipped to Lithuania, a few days delay in the customs but got it and now enjoying it. 9.5/10
Super cran, on peut facilement jouer en 280HZ 1440P.
Trs jolie.
The heart wants what it wants.
You made it this far. Just a little more!
Your pc is louder then the fan in this thing. You wont even hear it with headphones on.
Play with the preset modes on monitor to find a colour balance/brightness that suits you.
I was concerned it may feel 2 big for fps games. But that hasn’t been an issue.
HDR gave me eyegasms however when clipping or streaming the output can sometimes look either very washed out or way to vibrant. This may be user/software error.
The huge box arrived 3days early and was left unattended on my front door step though. Thankfully was not an issue.
Simply an excellent purchase – even at this moderate price point it shows fantastic value.
I use this monitor for gaming, movies, and photo editing. Thus far it has been flawless in every setting.
Image quality is generally very clear – it’s sharp, with punchy but natural colours and above-average contrast for an IPS display.
Colour accuracy is really good out of the box – I use a calibration tool to get a neutral color balance and only needed to reduce the blues by 5% on my specific unit. I can’t say I noticed the difference.
The factory calibration is adequate and the report for it comes in the box.
The HDR, however, is sub-par (the local dimming is poor) but I personally rarely use HDR, so this isn’t a dealbreaker for me.
Response times are incredible – ghosting is minimal and Input latency is very low.
All of this at 1440p, 280Hz makes for an incredibly immersive gaming experience in all genres. As generic as that sounds, there is no other way to describe it.
Highly recommended.
Glckwunsch an Dell dazu!
Die Bildqualitt ist sehr gut.
Empfehlenswertes Gert.
While you might be able to get a similar image quality with a cheaper monitor, the quality of materials used cannot be matched. The built-in cable management is clever and easy, the adjustment options for the height and angle of the screen is good and feels sturdy but smooth to move. The image quality is excellent, really adds to the immersion while playing games. Vivid colours with quite a few options for the picture. The Alienware command centre isn’t that useful, and it buggy, but is not needed at all.
Unless you want to pay double for a mini LED monitor (at which point why not go OLED?), this is the pinnacle of current 1440p IPS monitors.
Extremely colour accurate out of the box for both sRGB and DCI-P3, 280hz on the desktop is beautiful but from the few games I can actually run at 1440p/280fps (HiFi Rush is an amazing example of this, even on my lowly 3060ti) it’s fantastic.
Another big draw for me was the lack of branding on the front in addition to the ridiculously svelte bezels. It’s arguably the cleanest looking monitor around currently, and the casing plastics are all of very good quality, including the magnetic cable tidy.
It’s really good and worth the money if you are looking for gaming.
Overall very happy with my purchase – cant find anything that good at that price range.
Ok so I have been using a LG ultra wide LCD display with my RTX 3090 and I am not going to lie it was really good HOWEVER this Alienware monitor has really knocked the stuffing out of my opinion of Alienware and of OLED displays (well in this case QD-OLED).
To start with let’s clear up this Fan too noisy nonsense, I have Noctua fans all throughout my computer and I cannot hear the Fan at all (even in a quiet room).
The picture quality is amazing in all respects (also smart HDR really helps too), dead space remake is bloody terrifying as dark rooms are actually pitch black and your only form of light is the torch.
Light sources act as they should to the point where if you flash bang an enemy you in turn end up flash banging yourself lol.
The Versa bracket mount is really easy to attach to the monitor and my current mounting arm.
You get more cables in the box than what you need (this is not a complaint).
If your thinking of getting a OLED display for pc then really really consider this monitor as it beats nearly all monitors on the market for such a good price poi
By far the superior panel, if you are looking for an HDR experience. My biggest concern buying this was the G-Sync Module fan that a lot of people are talking about being noisy. I’ve compared both side by side and I cannot tell the difference. You’ll also get the latest firmware (M0B103) which fixes the OLED Pixel Refresh prompt.
Stunng monitor. The best I’ve seen to-date. Blacks are deep and rich and highlights are amazing. By far hands down best in market for picture and display quality. I was initially worried about text quality, fan noise and burn in. The text is crisp and clean, no need to run the 3rd party cleartyoe tall. Fan noise? What noise, completely silent! Burn in… With the new tools that maintain the screen and the 3 year burn in warranty… Non issue, I’m very comfortable leaving the screen on windows while working for long hours, no hint of an issue.
Best gaming monitor for deep rich blacks and you won’t be unhappy. Every time I boot a game up I get a big grin, just buy it now.
Sturdy, not overly massive, very good picture. Gives me 165hz over usb c – DP link with my xps 15. FIrware upgrade is yet to be tried but so far I’m very impressed.
Bought this directly from Dell. Absolutely love it. The picture is stunning. No noise from mine. So happy I bought i
The overall build quality and design of this Alienware monitor is superb – plenty of space in the centre of the stand to hide even thick keyboard cables as well as DisplayPorts/HDMIs, and I think relatively tasteful RGB lighting. The 240-280Hz refresh rate is really good too, though coming from 144/165Hz perhaps not as noticeable an improvement as you might expect. It does go fairly bright too, but I’ve seen brighter – and as an IPS the colours and blacks are decent but obviously not in the same league as OLED. I have a slight gripe with being able to rest my webcam easily in the centre – the screen is quite thick and my Logitech C920 doesn’t stay on it particularly easily. The feet of the stands are pretty enormous too – very sturdy but does cut into desk space. However GSYNC works well and it is a really nice monitor to use for many hours, both for work and gaming. It’s just not particularly cheap!
People aren’t lying when they call this a god tier monitor! I got this from amazon warehouse at nearly half the retail value and it feels like a steal at that price.
Screen : the qd oled display is stunning! The inky blacks are next level compared to any other monitor or even tv i’ve seen and the HDR is amazing in games that implement it properly. It has a bit of a glossy finish but unless you have light facing it like a lamp pointed towards it or a window directly behind you then you won’t notice it.
Text clarity : a lot of people have complained about fringing and text not being that clear i disagree mine is completely fine if you press your face up to it you may see something i can’t but sat at a normal distance it’s perfectly clear.
Settings : the built in menu let’s you alter colour set up, hdr etc it’s easy to use and i’ve had no issues using it.
Build quality : first off i never used the stand that comes with the monitor as it was too deep and i wanted more desk space and i’m not a huge fan of white so i got a black stand for it as shown in my pictures, the actual monitor itself is well built and designed the plastic backing doesn’t feel or look cheap.
Everything about this monitor from the crazy 0.01ms response times, 175hz refresh rate to the Qd Oled panel is just perfect! I had an LG GL850 27inch 1440p 144hz monitor it was great but this is much better. Not having anything like backlight bleed is a small but important factor in getting an Oled panel.
Curve/Size : The curve isn’t aggressive i’ve never had a curved monitor didn’t think i’d be able to deal with it but you get used to it fast and at 34 inch it makes gaming super immersive! It would surprise you just how many games support ultrawide now. Watching youtube videos etc can sometimes mean letterbox style bars on the sides but that doesn’y bother me however there are extensions to crop and extend videos if you can’t deal with the bars.
Pixel refresh etc : the monitor has built in modes to prevent any kind of burn in so sometimes it will shift the screen just a nudge to prevent burn in and i have noticed it do this a few times but it’s never an issue you won’t notice it gaming or watching anything. Pixel refresh brings up a message onscreen every four hours asking you to do it you can proceed and it will turn off for around 5 minutes at wich point the power button flashes green then switches off when it’s finished so you know or you can cancel it but the best bet is to “proceed and don’t show message again” that way it only does it when you switch it off wich is far better than the warning popping up when you’re doing something. Panel refresh i’ve never done it’s apparently only needed every 1500hours and takes around 45 minutes or more at wich time the power button flashes red. It is covered for 3 years against burn in so that gives you peace of mind.
Lighting : the lighting on the back,Alienware logo, front underside and power button can all be controlled via the on screen display menu or with the alienware command centre software, i’ve found it to be subtle and it adds a nice it of backlight when i’m sat in the dark.
Final notes : I’ve covered most of my experience with this monitor so far, it’s been fun and a pleasant screen to sit at for hours on end, it’s big enough, looks beautiful and is well worth buying.
One last thing to note some people mention fan noise i heard it once or twice when i got it then i forgot it was even a thing and my pc fans are always louder so it’s another non issue.
Thanks for reading and if you buy it you won’t be dissapointed.
A slightly updated version has just released and you’ll probably want to pick that up instead for the higher frame rate on latest gen consoles, if you’re just using it for PC then not an issue. You’ll definitely want a 4k capable graphics card for this monitor as less than 4k will look like rubbish on this screens native resolution.
Bought one of these from Dell and it has been great so far. Switching to OLED (with HDR) has been one of the most rewarding PC upgrades I have done in a long time. I use this screen during the day for work and have to say that other than the prompt to run a pixel refresh after 4 hours use, I have not found any issues. Even the text is crisp and clear enough for me (I saw lots being made about the sub pixel layout affecting text, but I have to say that it’s not that bad at all). I was also worried about it not being g-sync certified but again, no issues so far, other than it (the screen) didn’t work with my existing 5m displayport cable…
I bought this monitor directly from Dell, so my purchase may not be considered as verified here, however I’d still like to leave a review so maybe someone will find it helpful.
* First of all, this monitor is truly incredible and many people will tell you the same. Sales just have started in the UK on Dec 6th, but it’s been a while since this beast was released in the US. That’s why you can check out YouTube for tons of incredibly positive reviews of it or it’s previous make (without the last F). Check out LTT, Monitors unboxed or PC Centric, all of them will tell you that it’s great.
* Picture quality is unbeatable. If you experience it once, all the other monitors will look, well, meh to you simply because nothing can beat OLED in blacks. Even doing simple tasks like browsing is much more enjoyable and comfortable for eyes. There’s no backlight, so the picture doesn’t “glow”.
* It has 34″ diagonal, and first it looks massive sitting on your desk, but it’s really feels this way for the first few minutes. The curve helps fighting this feel a lot.
* It comes with two display port inputs and two display port cables (DP to DP and USB-C to DP). For me it’s important as I can connect desktop and work laptop and switch between them for work and leisure.
* Packaging is nice and something you’d expect from a premium product.
Now a bit of cons:
* As many reviews mention, monitor has non-standard subpixel layout, and it makes text look not smooth. In my experience, this problem got too much attention, because even though it’s noticeable, very soon you stop noticing that something isn’t right with text on the screen
* it’s 2022 and I’d expect from monitor to have a proper USB-C input with power supply for laptop. USB-C to DP cable can’t provide power supply.
Will see how it goes, but right now I’m incredibly happy with my purchase.
Alienware AW3423DWF 34″ QD-OLED
Please make sure you read the right reviews. Amazon have mixed up reviews for different monitors, which is a shame.
I’ll start this off with a conclusion — if you can afford it, buy it!
This is typical Alienware quality. It screams “well made” when you pull it out of the box. The Dark Side of the Moon finish is great, although the overall finish is not quite as good as the DW.
The stand clicks in place with a very satisfying and solid clunk. Dell provides you with all the cables you will need but most of them are 6 foot long so a little short for my liking. Getting cables to plug in to the back of the monitor is fiddly, there isn’t much room to manoeuvre.
The performance of this monitor is just staggering. The colour is absolute jaw dropping, and the blacks are like something you have never seen on a monitor before and when you play a game the speed is amazing. Never mind the refresh rate, the monitor is just so responsive and fast.
It’s a Freesync monitor so anything above 48fps there’s no messing. It also works perfectly with an NVIDIA GPU even in HDR mode. I have not tried it with an AMD GPU as yet.
My last monitor is the AW3821DW and there is no doubt the AW34 is better. By comparison the AW38 is a business monitor. The colours on the AW38 are very good, but not as good as the AW34. With the larger screen and better small text the AW38 is great for general work but the contrast on the AW38 is very poor compared to that on the AW34.
I have seen some complaints that the monitor only gives 8-bit colour above 100Hz. This is incorrect. The monitor can work in HDR 10-bit mode all the way up to 144Hz although there is a problem that there isn’t enough bandwidth for a 10-bit signal to be sent to the monitor at that refresh rate. But graphics cards have a work-around in which they effectively use alternate frames to communicate the data to the monitor. The end result of this technical magic is you get full 10-bit colour albeit not quite as accurate as it should be. Certainly I can not notice any difference between 10-bit and 8-bit+magic. It is also possible to manually setup a custom refresh rate of 120Hz at 10-bit.
There is a fan inside the monitor but I have not heard mine yet. It’s to cool the panel down so the less brightness you are using the less it is needed. I use mine in a fairly dark room so there is no problem and OLED’s are known to be better suited to darker rooms.
Some people have complained about coil whine from the monitor, but this seems to just be the usual power supply lottery that exists for all modern devices with power supplies built in.
To avoid burn-in the monitor runs some magic now an then. This happens every four hours or so when you switch it off or your PC goes in to standby. A screen pops up (which you can disable) telling you it needs to run the routine when you next go to standby.
The only defect to my eyes is the colour fringing on small text. This is not an ideal business monitor! The fringing is not visible during games and films and so on, but it is very visible on white text on a dark background. This needs the likes of Microsoft to create font processing, specifically for qd-oleds pixel layout. This will probably happen in time but until then the fringing is noticeable. It’s noticeable enough that I have known people to stop using “Dark Mode” in Windows.
In passing, Windows 11 handles HDR much better than 10 so you should consider moving to 11.
The monitor has a number of HDR modes and it is slightly unclear what some of these are. They are not documented by Dell. However, there are standard HDR400 True Black modes and an HDR1000 mode. There is also a gaming mode which seems to be HDR2000. Details on these are scant. The HDR1000 mode seems to be bugged however, and owners are awaiting a firmware update on that one.
The general recommendation from users and reviewers seems to be to select Console in the menu and then Source Tone Mapping as being the best for gaming. You need to be in HDR mode in Windows to do that otherwise the menu is greyed out. However, it remains greyed out for some AMD GPU owners and in general there seem to be some bugs in the firmware if you own an AMD GPU. Unless you want to wait until they sort out the firmware, or take the risk that they will do so soon, then you may be better getting the AW3423DW. The G-Sync version has been demonstrated to work with AMD and NVIDIA. The F is considered to be a better monitor, but it does have a few teething problems.
You can download the Dell Monitor Application from Dell, which works with the monitor. Although it doesn’t offer all of the settings it does offer most of them.It has some nice additions to Windows functionality that may make your life easier like the ability to quickly snap windows to preset locations on the screen.
All in all, it’s an exceptional monitor. Although expensive, it is nearly perfect. For gaming and media I recommend it without reservation. For business, you might want to wait until Microsoft have add qd-oled pixel layouts to ClearText processing in Windows.
Without doubt the best monitor I have bought to date. It’s amazing. Like I said at the start, if you can afford it, it’s a no brainer.
I have been waiting to purchase this monitor since its release, the monitor came in perfect condition, so far I didn’t have much time to really enjoy the QD-OLED display, but it was worth the wait, it is what I wanted on a monitor, it makes me wanna play the games again but with HDR and OLED quality. About the monitor quality video quality, is exactly what it says in the reviews so i wont say much of what is know already.
Edit: Been a while since i been using the monitor, 0 regrets, i always get surprised how old games i used to play in other monitors looks so good now!
Overall: Best Monitor for it’s value, for what it offers!
Before buying this monitor, most negative reviews I had seen online are regarding three things:
1. The fans
2. The text clarity
3. The brightness
I’m someone who works from home almost every day and would be considered a heavy Gamer. I’d very often be using my PC 12+ hours per day between work and games.
I can say without a doubt that the negative reviews were at-least somewhat overblown in my opinion and for my specific unit, and I’ll quickly give my review on the three main talking points.
1. The fans.
I can hear them, But it’s very minor. I’ve owned the monitor for almost a week now and I’ve only really heard one of the fans at night after I had been using the monitor all day (95% brightness) and I had been sitting in complete silence. If there’s any other noise in your room, outside or if you’re listening to any music at all even on low volume you would never know there was a fan in the unit. My only concern is after a year or so and dust starts to settle, you may need to get a can of air and blast in around the fans to help prevent dust from causing the fans to spin up higher/more often than they do right out the box.
2. Text clarity
People go on about the fringing around the text. I know it’s there, I can see it up close and you can’t dispute that it exists considering it’s the physical layout of the pixels that cause this. However right out the box, this didn’t bother me one bit and its hard to even notice. I did apply some changes as suggest online to combat the effect In windows, and it did help a little but honestly I would be fine without it. Maybe in the future the pixel layout will be better accommodated. But for now most users like myself will have no issue dealing with it, it’s really not bad at all and of course when gaming it’s not a factor.
3. The brightness
I heard many complaints about brightness, but whether using the monitor for desktop work or even gaming with HDR 400 on, the brightness is fantastic. It’s brighter than my old 1440p Dell monitor and I was expecting it to be worse from the reviews.
The only minor issue is that when using the HDR1000 mode, you do tend to notice the dimming when switching to and from bright areas. So I leave it on HDR400 to avoid this seemingly completely.
Overall absolutely happy with this and I was expecting the worst. Fantastic monitor with brilliant Colors as expected.
The inky blacks are great, the HDR is better than expected. the 175hz is awesome.
This is the future, but its here and now 😀
Although the on-monitor controls are nice and clearly thought through, the actual options are confusing and impractical, however once properly set up the screen is very bright the colour accuracy is acceptable but not amazing, it’s a large screen and produces a very detailed image when matched with Nvidia settings.
The ability to increase or decrease vertical movement, tilt forward and backward and movement left to right is a huge plus as I personally find myself moving it around my desk a lot!
Ive gone through 3 different 240hz monitors being benq zowie xl2546k, ASUS TUF Gaming VG258QM and now this Alienware monitor. The main part that stands out to me is the screen size which I went from 25 inches to 27 inches to see the difference and it all depends on how you sit at your desk. With a 25 inch monitor I noticed I was more close to my screen whilst gaming but with a 27 inch I can have a better posture whilst still performing just as good whilst gaming. The response time is just as good as Zowies 0.5ms response time and the quality of the screen is alot better than both monitors Ive tried. The only issue Ive had with this monitor is the stand which has a massive base that took up a lot of my desk space and limited some of my mouse movement. So if you wanna get this monitor make sure you have a good size of a desk or invest in a monitor arm as I have.
This monitor is very good what what it says and I sure will be recommending this to other people. And my games are extremely smoother and feel so much better to play than they’re were before for myself. The price is good for what you are getting very easy to assemble.
The Problem
The stand takes a lot of space but if your desk is a big size or you have a monitor arm you will be fine and not be having this problem. And there is no speakers that come with it built in for this price I was very surprised but it comes with a area we’re you can plug your headphones in.
This was second monitor purchase and quality is perfect! Excellent value for money!
I didn’t find it has no speaker! But other quality is fine.
I tried a couple of high refresh rate monitors, but this one was so far the best one I’ve tired out of all of them. The colors and gamma out of the box are nearly perfect!
