She absolutely loved it, as did her 2 year older brother.
Can’t really comment of sturdiness and durability at the moment as too short a period after buying.
Bought this barbie doll with Unicorn for my granddaughters 7th birthday and she loves it. The Unicorn lights up, plays different tunes, pretends to eat the ice cream and even nays. The unicorn is also sturdy which is great.
Barbie has a painted on top but her leggings and shoes come off.
All in all a good and loved purchase.

My daughter was guven this as a gift earlier this year, only yesterday did we diacover that when you “feed” the unicorn several times in a row, it makes a fart noise and a green light flashes near it’s rear end! Kods found it hilarious and were literally rollong on the ground laughing. Not sure I’d habe payed this much for it myself but it’s definitely been a hit with the little ones!
There are plenty of lights and sounds from the unicorn. It was pricey, but looks like it is going to hold up to many years of “love” so I think it will be worth it.
This is definitely a little girls dream – Barbie Dreamtopia Magical Light up Unicorn, the only trouble we did have a few fights as both girls wanted it so we are now saving our pennies to get another one, so they can have one each.
Retail price of 49.99 which I would say is slightly overpriced but it’s bought so much joy and happiness to the kids so worth every penny.
You get a Barbie princess doll and her dreamtopic magical light up unicorn (called Spark) they come complete with many light and sound effects (amazing to watch them play)
I would say to look after the ice cream cone accessory as we have unfortunately lost this but found something at the bottom of the Barbie box to replace it.
The quality is fantastic something that you would expect from the brand Barbie, I love the fact that the Barbie has jointed limps making it easier for her to ride the unicorn.

This is a simply stunning play set from Barbie. My first impressions on receiving this was that it was very garish and over the top but I knew my child would love it. It has that magical bright and colourful fairy princess appeal to it that most young girls would love.
The doll is pretty much like any other standard barbie doll, it doesn’t do a lot but can change outfits and style the hair. It isn’t really posable either, the knees are jointed, supposedly for mounting on the unicorn. The unicorn is quite fun, it is pre-fitted with batteries and as of yet I haven’t had to change them. The body lights up and makes various sounds and plays music, variable with pressing the horn, moving the mouth (feeding) or tapping the back. The rainbow coloured hair looks good and can be combed, it should be looked after so that it doesn’t get tangled and clumped up as once that happens it is difficult to untangle and ends up looking not very nice.
I am much more impressed with this set after trying it out than when I first saw it, the RRP is about 50 which I think is a little high considering both the doll and the unicorn doesn’t do much but it is good for imaginative doll play and does look great. I feel around 35 or less is more appropriate.
It looks great, the lights are really good, and there are so many different sounds that come from it. The only downside is that Barbie doesn’t sit on it securely. Still made for a great Xmas present, and you can see why it cost what it did.

Engaging toy. My 6 year old was delighted. The unicorn lights are really pretty and it makes various sounds and tunes. Bought in the sale so good value for money. Full price is a little steep but it’s great quality as you’d expect from Barbie. The doll has a good outfit and legs are jointed at knees to allow better riding position.

I ordered this for my daughter who has recently started liking Barbie dolls. She had never played with Barbies when she was younger but since last few months she has been watching some Barbie animated show which has made her interested in these dolls and I thought this would be a nice little present for her.
When this arrived it was well packaged and in excellent condition. The actual product packaging is bright and attractive with a large viewing window at the front so you can see the product clearly and it looks really pretty. The unicorn and the Barbie were fixed in place with ties which were reasonably OK to remove apart from on Barbies head. It was difficult to cut close to the head without cutting the hair and it left bits of plastic sticking out of the back of the head.
The build quality on both the Barbie and the unicorn is fantastic and the feel really robust. I feel that these will withstand being played with lots. The unicorn can do lots of things like playing music and sounds. Its stomach lights up as well with starry lights. It also plays a lullaby and light show to help my daughter go to sleep as well. My daughter had lots of fun playing with it.
The only minor issue I have felt is that the unicorn cannot do anything else apart from show some lights and play some music. It would have been great if its legs moved or it made some horse like noises when Barbie is sitting on it.
Overall, it is an excellent product, lots of fun and inspires creative free play. Recommended – 4 stars

My little girl loves anything Barbie unicorn or princess so this was just the perfect gift for her. The quality of Barbie you just can’t beat me to last and be durable. There are so many interactive parts to the toy, including holding up the ice cream to the unicorns mouth and hearing it crunch, that will keep your little one entertained for ages and lots of opportunity for imaginative play. We love this range due to its vibrant colour. I would highly recommend this toy and brand if you’re after a long lasting toy that keeps the children engaged and doesn’t fall apart.

My girls love Barbie and this set is from Dreamtopia and Barbie herself, is very colourful and dressed with her tiara and necklace and is your usual type of Barbie doll… but for me the unicorn is the true star in this toy set.
I’ve included a video of some of the things the unicorn does when it’s unicorn horn or back is stroked which I hope you find helpful. You can also feed it a cupcake!
The unicorn’s body is filled with star lights that flash and glow with music or horse/unicorn sounds when activated and it is a great effect. The stars aren’t really that visible behind the opaque unicorn’s body until activated which really adds to that wow and magic factor. They do require 3 AA batteries but they have been included!
The unicorn’s limbs are in a fixed position which is fine and not the end of the world as it means the unicorn is stable when standing and my girls don’t seem to care or notice. The listing also mentions that you can get a lullaby by putting the unicorn to sleep (by holding it’s horn down) but I haven’t been able to get this to work. Maybe it just doesn’t want to go to sleep!

The box is very large, arrives inside a cardboard box so your child wouldn’t be able to see the content’s of the box you just need to find somewhere big enough to hide it .
I love this toy for the money, I think it offers great value as it has sound/lights and the unicorn can even be ‘fed’ the little ice cream cone included. Compared to some other toys in the Barbie range I do think this fully worth the price tag, especially for young children who like unicorns/horses.
I also really like that when it’s time for bed you can press the unicorns horn & a sleepy bed time routine will start which is fab for when playtime is over and you need to wind your kids down.
Build quality is good, typical plastic build of most toys but it feels strong and durable. Overall a fab toy that is quite immersive thanks to the many play modes, I’d definitely recommend.

There’s a full size unicorn that is perfectlyatched in size for Barbie to ride. A slight stroke on her back and she’ll light hpnbrightly in a wonderful and colourful little show with music and sound effects to match with over 25 different effects.
Touch her pretty transparent horn and watch and she rewards you with another lovely light show accompanied by the chime of bells.
Feed her her favourite food – the accompanying ice cream cone to hear the delight and watch her illuminate into a blossom of colours.
Bsrbie herself is adorned with a pretty pearlescent tiara, a pink gem necklace and a lovely glittery rainbow tutu and a set of purple riding leggings, along with a sensible set of flat pink pumps.
She has bendable knees and hip joints so that she can sit comfortably on her unicorn. Her outfit perfectly complimenting her unicorns rainbow coloured mane.
The unicorn can stand upright, even with Barbie riding her. Our five year old adores this set as it’s quite unique to come across a fully ridable Barbie original unicorn. The rainbow colours are perfectly befitting the current posters we see adorning windows nationwide in this difficult time during the pandemic. It has bought joy and illumination into our daughter’s life as rainbows and unicorns have really come into their own this year.

This Barbie and Unicorn box set is quite large, is pretty impressive and certainly has a wow factor with children.
The unicorn can be activated either by stroking the back or touching the horn and results in the lights, music and sounds. The range of noises and flashing lights seemed to fascinate my granddaughter for ages.
It is quite expensive but as a kid’s main present it is probably worth it.
This is a bigger set than I expected, the unicorn is around 30cm x 30cm with standard sized barbie. It comes with AA demonstration batteries and simple on off switch under the Unicorn. The unicorn feels solid, the legs are fixed but it stands upright on its own, and no issues with hair falling out. The unicorn has touch sensors on its back which switches through different sounds and the Dreamtopia theme. The horn is a press button which requires pushing forward to activate a different tone sound with colour lights, finally the mouth just press open and makes eating sounds, you don’t have to use the ice cream to activate it.
What’s disappointing? Firstly this set isn’t cheap at the RRP its a lot of money, and whist kids wont have anything bad to say about it, as an adult I found some disappointments. Firstly, Barbie has movable head, shoulders, knees and hips but not her elbows so her arms are fixed in the position, why they didn’t make the elbows posable as well. Her top is fixed and so if your child likes dressing Barbies in different outfits she wont be able to change the top. The unicorn is nice and solid feeling, it has no posable elements, a posable neck would add to the playability, it lights only on one side, and it would have been nice if these lights covered a wider area. The sound activation is on the back so if Barbie is sat on the unicorn you have to lift her up to activate the sound. It would have been nice if it included some form of motion sensor so when the child holds Barbie on the unicorn and pretends to trot the movement activates the sound, making it more playable.
So it can be a perfect present for someone who really likes barbies and unicorns as you get both in one place. Especially as Christmas is coming. Although the price is a bit steep, it is still worth it.
As suggested with this toy you get a Barbie, a Unicorn and a little cone of ice cream which can be used to interact with a unicorn. The quality of both pieces is really good and solid. Although barbie itself could be a bit better and not as stiff. The real star of this set is the unicorn as it attracts all the attention. As it has sounds and a lights.
So you can get the sounds and light in three ways. It is touching its back, horn or then giving him to eat the ice cream cone. It has a variety of light patterns and sounds which will be the main attraction to a small kid. What would be even more impressive if it could move around, then it would be a perfect toy. Overall it is a really good and fun toy to give as a present, and it’s worth the price tag.
This is the most amazing and magical, phenomenal Barbie we have ever had, my daughter is in love with it and I am too, I want to play with it as much as she does!!

Barbie has gorgeous long, pink hair which we were delighted with as we don’t have any Barbies in the collection that have pink hair!
She comes with a tiara and a necklace she can wear, both are removable. Her head and arms are moveable. Her arms are only jointed at the shoulders. One of her arms is already bent so she can put her hand on her hip, the other arm is straight.
Outfit-wise her top is painted on, my daughter prefers all clothes to be removable so she can change the outfits but once this Barbies skirt is removed, the painted on part is like a bodice with built in painted knickers that you can always add other clothes over but would have preferred an all in one dress. But it’s very pretty nonetheless.
The star of the show is the amazing, interactive Unicorn! We’ve never had a Barbie with a sidekick quite as amazing as this!

The set comes with an ice cream to feed it, when put up to its mouth it makes several different fun, eating noises and when done a few times it neighs to say it is full.
When you stoke it, it makes several different magical ‘sparkly’ noises and lights up in many different colours and combinations. When ‘ridden’ or you hand held on its body it makes pretty star light patterns and either makes a galloping noise or plays continuous music.
It’s absolutely amazing and magical and does so many sounds and colours it’s an incredible toy on it self so to be paired with the lovely corresponding Barbie too is great value and endless play value.
I couldn’t recommend more, what a beautiful set, my daughter and I adore this and would buy again for friends.
For any small person obsessed with unicorns and Barbie this will suit them to a t! Lots of fun interactive play to be had, with the unicorn making a few different sounds and lighting up. Barbie is dressed appropriately for riding, no high heels for her, sensible flats! From a distance it all seems really quite magical and special. Closer up though there are some disappointments… you can see inside the unicorn when it lights up which makes it look a bit cheap; and Barbie just isn’t the best made Barbie you can get, she’s a little stiff and not all her clothes are removable. However, the disappointments I think are due to my age and adult eyes!… the little ones are not at all disappointed, just full of delighted squeals!

An absolutely stunning barbie!
Barring the fact that I’m ever so slightly disappointed in her hair.
The colour is beautiful, really modern and just suits her completely. It’s very badly cut. It’s very choppy and misshapen. It looks kind of greasy too. So for this I give one star less.
Her outfit is so cute. Beautifully designed. Skirt and trousers are attached. Skirt is an exquisite rainbow chiffon type piece. The top is wholly part of the barbie doll itself. Slightly different to some barbies but being as it’s a small top you can still dress her up.
Her crown can be removed. I might add that as they’re attached to plastic stoppers the prevent it falling off, the stoppers stay in her head, these can, very carefully, be cut. This also happened when removing her from the box. This is a regular thing for the heads to be attached I’ve noticed. It gets me distraught if I cut the hair by accident!
The necklace can be removed too.
Overall, she is beautiful. Customizable. Hair colour is modern.
