Really nice speaker that initially gives off a premium vibe thats above its price range. Up on opening, i was impressed with its heavy feel and the higher quality look. Its a really nice design that has the feel of an expensive brand about it. Clear controls, and a very easy to use setup.
Pairing is the usual system of putting it into pair mode and connecting. Was up and running within seconds. Its a usbc charge , so faster too.

The playback was very good, not quite as good as my top end speakers, but not far off if im honest. Way better than using the phones built in audio (iphone 14) and slightly better than an amazon speaker.

Nice product, great for its price.

This little speaker packs a punch. Didn’t expect miracles for the price but the sound quality is excellent and doesn’t distort with increased volume. Really really great little speaker.

Very nice portable speaker, it looks and feels well made and of high quality. I really like the matt black finish of the plastic and the black mesh material covering the speakers.

It is very easy to use and it connects to my phone straight away with no issues. I like that I can control the volume by either short pressing the ‘+’/’-‘ buttons on the side of the speaker or by the volume dial on the top of the speaker, which makes it easy to adjust the volume when the speaker is standing upright.

I find the sound quite impressive with good bass and clear vocals. Although I haven’t been able to try it, the manual says you can connect one primary LS01 speaker to over 200 secondary LS01 speakers using ‘partysync’ mode and then you can control the volume of all the secondary speakers via the primary speaker, which is cool and great for parties if you have multiple speakers.

Overall I think it’s a great speaker for 29.99 and I would happily recommend it.

    Impressive sound quality

Love this small speaker. Packs a right punch. Loud and lovely sound. Best one I have ever had. A bit heavy but that is to be expexted with what is probably inside to make it awesome.

Very good, I was impressed by how loud it can be without losing sound quality, perfect to take to any party because it is small and very powerful, the best thing is that it is waterproof and this is very good because my daughter loves listening to music in the bath! I highly recommend!

    Very loud and clear sound

I literally almost never review a product but this bad boy deserves my time and respect. Lol. The base is impressive. I can’t speak on battery life because I’ve literally just opened it and tried it. Sound quality is amazing. I’m definitely happy with this. Can’t wait to take it on holiday. Only thing though it’s rather heavy but worth it for the sound.

Got this Bluetooth speaker to use in kitchen as casual music playing while cooking. Been using this speaker for last 4 weeks continuously. Battery is quite good and sound quality is very good with decent bass. Compared to previous Bluetooth speakers I have used; its sound quality is best. It’s advertised as waterproof which is a bonus, not tested in water. Bluetooth connection very stable and connects within seconds.
Overall, its sturdy speaker and built quality is great. Controls also are clearly marked and easy to operate. Value for money 5 star product.

Great sound quality with decent bass

Nicely packaged in a sturdy box I was pleased to find that package includes both a USB-C cable for charging, and a 3.5mm auxiliary cable for wired connection rather than Bluetooth. I like that the buttons are clearly marked, though haven’t been impressed with the rotary volume control on top of the unit as it doesn’t work well. There is a fabric strap on the side of the speaker which is handy for carrying it or attaching, but it is badly placed since it hangs down across the buttons making them harder to see.

I use a couple of other Bluetooth speakers with a similar design to this one, and I like their functionality and the way that they sound. This one from Songlow is a lot cheaper than my others, so as you’d expect it doesn’t sound as good. However, at this bargain price it does a pretty good job of offering form and function even if it does lack some of the bass and clarity of the best speakers. I’ve been using it for a variety of listening including podcasts and a wide selection of music. I’d like to be able to play it louder than this speaker can manage, but it’s okay and is capable of playing fairly loud — certainly enough for a bedroom or office. Quality is pretty good and most people will be very happy with performance and sound quality at this low price.

Decent looking speaker, and has the 40W power to match.
Bassy and clear sound pumping out of the 360 speaker.
Great for indoors or out party, or may be just for those lay back and chill music.
It’s also totally waterproof, which can even get wholly into water, let alone operating in the rain.
Nice big buttons to operate, and a huge dial on the top for volume.
Could also do phonecall or voice command with built in mic.
And the 12 hours of battery life is great for its size.
Good speaker all round, perhaps some LED’s would be just nice.
Very good value at 24 with voucher.

As I write this, this is priced at just short of 30. Comparatively, as an audiophile I compare this to our Sony Super Portable Bluetooth Waterproof Speaker, which after years is still the solid workhorse – these days though, it requires a constant power supply. I like to go for a well blanked speaker, I have a few which perform the families regular audio requirements, from streaming, Spotify, Amazon services including watching shows and listening to podcasts and audio books.

The reason I compare this to the Sony is that, they are very similar in style and functionality. The Sony is of course pricier at close to 80, but with that comes the reputation and reliability. The battery power of this one is currently excellent, its ready to go straight out of the box, no need to charge. I can imagine, just as the Song and every other rechargeable product, battery power will depletes as the product ages, but thats an easier pill to swallow at this price range, especially considering I have used this speaker side by side with the Sony.

Both behave on a similar vein. Bass suffers, especially if you like a heavier bass, or even one which can be EQed to your personal requirments, you won’t find either here. That is, an equaliser or even a deep bass.
The sound apart from the bass is quite balanced considering the price, ever so slightly higher in treble. It’s not premium level by any means, but it aint half bad for what can be purchased for the price if you’re after a waterproof, completely transportable cylindrical speaker which looks and feels very similar to our Sony. It has the weight to it too which helps brings depth and stability to the quality of the sound.

    The Niggle:
The one thing we like about our Sony speakers is that we’re able to pair multiple speakers to a single bluetooth source so that we can create the perfect vibe to a party with surround sound, or even a Dolby-like effect to a movie night.

This speaker does not have that capability. Yes, it shows that both the Sony and this speaker are paired to my bluetooth source, but this speaker seizes to create any output when it’s paired with another speaker. Ive found that even cheaper speakers allow me to pair multiple speakers to the source usually, so this was unexpected.

    4 stars

First and foremost, the most striking thing about this speaker is it’s size and weight; at 850g/1.9lb, it’s almost as big and heavy as a bag of sugar. Or to put it another way, it’s both bigger and heavier than a large can of beer.

On the other hand, the fact that it’s so big and solid means that it comes with a 6000mah battery, which gives you around 12 hours of playback. And it’s also able to charge fairly quickly; the box quotes around 3 hours for a full charge (though conversely, the item description on Amazon claims it has 2*3000mah batteries and will take 4 hours to charge…).

And all that weight seems to have helped with the sound as well, which is pretty decent.

There’s also an interesting note in the manual (and on the box), regarding the fact that this unit can be linked to other units of the same model. In fact, it can be linked to over 200 of them!

Quite how or why you’d want to link to that many is an open question, but it’d certainly be useful to have 3 or 4 of them linked together for a garden party or similar.

Overall, it’s a quality product, and at present, it has a voucher for 20% off the RRP (currently 29.99). Which makes it markedly cheaper than most of it’s rivals!

    Hefty and loud!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis wireless speaker is a chunky thing. It measures 23cm x 8.5cm (the description says 25cm tall so I was short changed!) and it weighs in at 900g so not something to carry around with you. In the box you get an instruction booket, a USB-C charging cable and an audio cable with 3.5mm jack plugs on each end which is quite short.

It is nicely designed, mainly made up of a mesh grill with a Matt black plastic top and boom and a strip down one side with the operation buttons. The buttons are an on/off, increase/decrease volume, pause/play and a button to link multiple speakers together (apparently you can link more than 200 speakers together). Also in the strip is a USB-C charging port and a 3.5mm jack socket under a soft rubber cover. There is also a carry cord, well a shoe lace actually, that loops through the top of the strip.

On the top is a large dark grey knob that can be rotated to change the volume. This seems to only go up to the volume set by either your phone or the buttons on the side so the only way it will control the full volume range is if you set the volume to maximum with the phone or buttons first.

The speaker appeared almost instantly in my Bluetooth list on my phone and immediately connected when selected so that was very easy.

The sound is very good although it probably won’t suit audiophiles. It has a good amount of bass and mid tones and vocals are quite clear. It lacks a bit in the high range and I would prefer it to be a bit more crisp and clear. It has a good amount of volume with no distortion when ramped up.

Overall, as a portable speaker it is very good and the fact that multiple speakers can be linked together makes it great for parties.

At higher volume this provides raucous and messy sound that should please a casual listener of popular music. No good for talk or classical. I tried it with my goto test album Lookie by BiS. There is no bass reproduction – not to be expected at this pricepoint – but the girls voices were pleasantly clear although accompanying instrumentation was basically just noise. Some detail emerged to give at least an impression you are listening to music. It slowly became tiresome to listen to but I would still use it to provide music for a casual occasion where serious listening was not an objective. This may seem negative but this speaker is worth buying if you just want background entertainment.

    Songlow Portable Speaker

The speaker came in premium packaging in a nice fitting box, similar to the quality when you unpack an expensive phone.
My initial impression was this was heavy, and after unwrapping it, I was blown away by the unit’s look, feel and finish. It is so well made that you can’t help but admire its appearance, everything from the classy radiator for bass to the volume dial at the top. You only sometimes see the volume dial at the top, but it is a nice touch. The controls are marked and easy to operate, and the rubber texture implies durability. Pairing to my phone was fast, and connectivity during play was not an issue.
The speaker uses a USB-c connection and comes supplied with a male-to-male 3.5mm jack lead and charging cable. The instruction booklet is not demanding and covers multiple languages.
In terms of performance, this is a capable speaker and reaches loud volume. The speaker boasts 40w (at 2 x 20w) – you can believe it. I am not an audiophile, but I found the playback using Spotify adequate; there is enough presence and imaging from a relatively small unit. The treble could be a little sharper, and the mids less muffled. Once the speakers have been broken in, the sound might improve.
Overall, I like this speaker, and its performance belies its size; if you were to hide the speaker, you could quickly think the sound was coming from something much bigger. It does what it says on the tin and is portable; it is not meant to replace a hifi system but serves its function well. The bonus is its waterproof feature suitable for different conditions. Considering the quality, performance and price, I recommend this product.
