This was going to be a big spend for me. I watched many ‘professional’ reviews from folks who had similar eInk devices. They recommended the Tab Ultra for many reasons, including performance and quick refresh. The fact you can even watch YouTube on this is amazing. Sure the quality of the video isn’t great, but still – moving video on eInk… that’s impressive. With access to the Google play store, you can have all the same apps you’d use on a standard tablet or phone.

The writing experience is perfect. It’s not the same as writing on paper, but it’s as close as matters. There’s no lag/delay when writing. The ink keeps up with the pen movements.

The ability to split the screen is also excellent. One app on top (or left) and another (e.g. notepad) on the bottom (or right).

Battery life is very good. OCR is pretty good too.

My only gripe is that at this price, it should have come with a cover. I live in the UK and I’m finding it difficult to get a cover for it on Amazon.

It’s great to sit in a meeting and write on the tablet without a light shinning from the screen. Looks and feels professional.

It’s a lot of money, but if you want an eInk display that you can write on and install all Android apps, this is the only one I could recommend as far as research and reviews are concerned.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI’m surprised how good this is. For the first time I feel no frustrations using an e-reader/e-tablet. The refresh rate and lack of ghosting is phenomenal, on par with the Mira e-ink monitor if not better.

If you like the Note Air series, this is that, but faster and cleaner. With the keyboard case you have a cute little e-ink PC capable of mouse support that is fluid enough to use.
