I use my lamp to provide night light on my bedside table.
These give off a fantastic light and very useful in emergency power cuts.

Great little product for your blackout box. They are bright, but not as bright as a set I previously bought. Easy to adjust and portable. Bought these for my elderly mother in case of power cuts as they can be carried easily when she moves around the house. We have 4 and previously used them to revise for a maths exam the next day.
I’m really impressed with these lamps.
I wanted a light that could be used to light a fairly large area in a blackout rather than having to use a torch. Well, I certainly got that with these little lamps. One lamp lit up my 12ft x 14ft bedroom as if the overhead light was on. I didn’t expect that! Extremely lightweight and compact enough to fit in my drawer when not in use.
Easy to use, there’ll be no groping around trying to find the switch button in the dark. Just lift and it’s on.
One piece of advice, either don’t pull the top right up straight away or look away when you turn it on. It’s dazzling and you’ll be seeing blotches for a while after if you don’t. Highly recommended.
These are the best lanterns i have ever bought so bright lights up the hole room from dark will be ordering 2 more tomorrow

Just brought 3 of these in-case of power outage, I have only tried out one of them but very bright, lights up the whole room. I can not comment about battery life but for 6.99 these are a bargain for emergency use you just pull up the lid and the lights come on, Ideal for camping a dark pathway or even taking the dog for a walk. Would recommend

I got these with all of the panic with the power issues that we are facing of having a whole country been turned off we are going to need these I’m more concerned for my grandad as candles can be dangerous so this is perfect for him and safe
I really like the design of an old fashioned lantern.
They are so easy to use. Initially you need to screw the bottom of the lantern off to insert the 3 x AA batteries it requires (not included).
To operate the light just pull the top up and it comes on. No fiddly switches to find in the dark. It can be pulled up just a fraction or all the way, depending on how bright you need it.
In addition, the top lid screws off to store 3 replacement batteries.
I’m going to keep one next to my bed and one in the kitchen so they are easy to find when needed!
What can I say…. these are amazing!
I bought these to use around the house to save money during the winter months and the cost of living crisis and I will be buying more. They are lightweight and very easy to add the 3 batteries. The light that emanates from them is astonishing. Much brighter than I thought I would get. I also love the way you can adjust the light simply by half-opening the top of the lantern or opening it more or less until your desired level of light is achieved. The listing does state 200 Lumins but the box says 100 Lumins. This is neither here nor there considering the amount of light that you get from them.
If you want to save money during the winter months and have a long-lasting lantern that gives off amazing light then these are the lanterns for you. Highly recommend.
These lanterns are going to be excellent for camping, but we have decided to keep one of them in the boot of the car as they are so bright they will be great for in an emergency situation. One lantern lit up our whole garden.
The mechanism, where you pull the lamp up to switch it on (so you can have it halfway pulled up for a dimmer light), works really well. You need to put 3 AA batteries in each lantern, it’d be nice if there was the option to charge them via USB. I like that you can hang the lantern up or put it down on a table/the ground. Just don’t look at it when you switch it on – sooo bright!

I like the retractable design. It’s been well implemented and the level of friction is just right. The movement is smooth and not scratchy.
The storage compartment on the top is indeed big enough to carry a spare set of AA’s. This small space is also useful for whatever else you might tuck in there.
I like that there are no buttons or controls and that the act of raising the top of the unit also turns the lamp on. This is super for in the dark. All that you need to do is feel about to find the lantern and then pull the top part up.

Not just for camping, with would work very well for a childs room, battery opperated so very safe and no glass or sharp edges. Great for camping or late night dog walking given enough light to see around you, or be seen. Very well made and built to last, collaspable wen not in use and take AA batteries x3. This would look great in a corner of a mancave lighting an area.
These two relatively lightweight and battery-powered lanterns are ultra=bright indeed! They contain 30 LED lights and are a nice compact design; they measure just 12 cm in height and approximately 8cm in width.
To use each of the lanterns, you need to insert 3 x AA batteries (not supplied) into the base, which easily unscrews and then screws back up. Once this is done, you can switch on the lantern by pulling it up using the silver metal handles (folded into the body when not in use); its full height is approximately 18cm (excluding handles) and about 25cm with handles extended. To alter the brightness (dim it slightly) then you can reduce the height of the lantern, and to switch off completely then you close the lantern and fold back in the silver metal handles.
Priced at 15.99 for two lanterns (at the time of this Amazon Vine review), these seem a bargain for their brightness and portability. These would be ideal for many outdoor pursuits such as camping as well as for venturing in the garden at night. We are happy with this product and are also happy to recommend.
These worked a treat, easy to figure out how to use them and no problems encountered even for this dinosaur. Great purchase.
