The cover coped very well in the weird sub-zero temperatures we had (in the UK). I was nervous about the very heavy snowfall but needn’t have been; the cover made everything so much easier. Removed it to find a perfectly clear windscreen underneath. ‘Twas very pleasing to avoid the usual scrape-til-you-ache palaver!

We have had many of these things like this to stop frost on the car many times now but always ended up in the bin as it doesnt do what it is meant to do or its too fidly to do.. This one however is different. My husband works nights so when he is due to come home from work its early morning and at times has been really frosty. And the last thing he wants to do after working 12 hours and before his 45 min journey home is to stand there and scrape his car so that he is safe to drive home. I got him this hoping it would help him, and it has. He says its easy to put on and goes around the wing mirrors and also gets trapped in the doors to hold in place so the wind isnt going to blow it up. And of course when he locks the car the wing mirrors move in and also helps and pulls it a little bit more taught so that its resting up against the window. This has worked really well and he hasnted needed to scrape the car either.. he just lift off, shakes off and puts in the boot as it is.. he doesnt fold it there as it needs to dry as he is afraid of mould…. He then gets in car starts engine and warms car up to demist the windscreen as it doesnt stop that,, but that clears quickly. He is then able to drive home once he is safte to do so… He has found this invaluable in the winter months and its worth every penny for him to get home in a timely manner so he is able to go to bed after a long night. When dry and not in use he folds up and it stores away in a nice bag in the boot, which takes up little room, all ready for when its needed again.

Nothing worse than de-icing the car on an early frosty morning, well now I don’t have to, this frost and sun shade cover takes car of it, it fits well over the screen and secured with the magnets and over the wing mirrors, I take it off the screen and drive away, just the job, it can be used as a sun cover and be just as effective to keep your car cooler.

So much more effective than my thinner version which ripped after a few uses. Windscreen and mirrors totally frost free. A bit bigger and thicker than my old one but that’s what makes it better!

Very good screen cover, it’s thick and big enough to fit my VW caddy.

I Like how it fits over mirrors, which help to keep it tight on my van. I fitted it easily on my own, only thing I would moan at is that once trapped in the front doors I was able to pull the flaps out, so I fitted something to stop this happening.

I’ve used it over the cold snap we are having and it was great not to have to defrost the screen, saved me 20 mins each time so I would say money well spent.

This has been fantastic the past couple of icy months! It saves me so much time in the morning de-icing – I’ve not had to use my de-icing spray that I used to use, not the scraper when the spray eventually runs out which has ultimately saved me money.

It’s great quality and very easy to put on your car, just throw it over the front, cover your mirrors with the pockets on either side (which I appreciate! Miles better than the bands and keeps everything in place. Also, they’re reflective!), then close your doors on the flaps. In the morning I just scrap some of the back screen if need be and throw it in my boot. I’ve yet to figure out how to avoid the ice melting in my boot but it’s definitely a massive improvement than the effort of before.

I do also prefer how it just covers the front of the car. I didn’t want one that goes over the entire car because the convenience element is gone – this is something quick and takes away the bulk of the effort.

No longer have frozen hands! Would recommend.

Much easier start to my day!

Material good quality and great fit for Volvo XC60 however disappointed with the suction power as no magnets, which allows it to flap about in a light breeze. It would also be handy if it had an elastic cord to tie the flaps together inside to hold in place whilst you close the door.

It’s a tight fit for my van but (fits the car great (No Picture).
I’m still looking for a size bigger for my Ecto-Van. I keep lots of props and cosplays within so stopping sunlight etc from damaging the cockpit is vital.

It’s a great product and if I spot a larger one from this seller, I would defiantly get one.

This is much larger than similar products I’ve had previously, have no issues with putting this on my Range Rover Velar. It covers the windscreen and fits nicely over the door mirrors. Getting the flaps to stay can be a two person job in a bit of wind, I can’t say that the magnets help much here. I had found that in high wind due to the way the top sits on my vehicle that the wind was able to get under and actually pulled the top (including the flap) out of the door, it was only held on by the door mirror cover at one side.

Has certainly helped with the recent cold snap, not that I have to go out all that often these days but the odd morning that I have saved a bit of time scraping the ice off – although I do have a heated windscreen so frost isn’t that much of an issue, its more when it snows that I will get the benefit of this.

Its easy enough to fold away and put back in the bag, although the drawstring is a bit flimsy.

Will certainly use in the summer too to stop the heat beating down on the dash and save a bit of money on the air con.

Thicker than previous products we’ve tried. Seems fairly sturdy. Attached easily to our car (Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV). Magnets seem OK. Not tried in high winds or snow yet. Also seems like it would be useful to keep the car cool in the summer. Has flaps you shut in the doors each side, magnets to secure to the bonnet and sections that secure to the wingmirrors. Also has a handy fabric bag to store it in.

Covers the windscreen and wing mirrors

This is such a useful thing to have. It’s not only saved me several minutes of scraping my window every morning in the recent cold snap, but on my microcamper (car or small van converted for camping inside) it’s added a *very* good extra layer of insulation that made sleeping in the vehicle with outside temperatures of minus five much less uncomfortable.

This recent inclement weather has been the perfect time to put this windscreen cover to the test and I cannot be more pleased with its performance.

It is really easy to use and attaches to the car with ease, using concealed magnets at the top and bottom of the main cover, of which there are 4 on the top and 4 on the bottom edges. In addition to that there is a flap of material on either side of the cover which you tuck inside each side of the front car door for extra security/stability and has not (so far) come out of place when there has been any wind present.

The cover is made for the winter season and has a reflective type foil on the outer side and a quilted soft material on the inner side, which won’t harm your cars paintwork.

The cover is generously sized, I have a BMW 1 and it has plenty of cover to keep the car protected. I would anticipate in saying that it will also fit larger cars, possibly up to and including estates and people carriers/SUVs. I do tend to find that I have a bit too much extra cover, so I just tuck this into each car door, in order to keep the cover taught/firm.

So far it has stood up to the recent cold frosty/sleety weather of recent days incredibly well and on removing the cover in the morning the front windscreen has been totally clear.
There are also two wing-mirror covers, that have reflective strips, which are handy if you are parked on-street, but is also a game changer, compared to other covers, as you also have clear mirrors from the get go. Luckily, I have a coating on the rear windscreen, so that is always clear of frost .

When not in use, it folds up easily and relatively small, if you have the patience to do so and there is also a travel bag that comes with the cover to store it in. I’ll be honest, I don’t tend to use this on a daily basis, but will use it when I want to store it outside of the cold weather season for its next use the following year.

I cannot recommend this cover highly enough, if you are looking for one buy this one and even if you are not, you need it, even if you have never considered one. A really great product.

    No more frosty welcomes

Got up this morning to a frost free window screen!!!. Its great and there’s extra bits for side mirrors.
There isn’t any suctions on my blanket so can’t comment on that.
It was convenient getting up,removing the screen and having a clear window screen.. shame it doesn’t fit over car to keep other windows clear.

Now that the winter is here I have started to use the windscreen cover it fit’s quite well and covers the whole window and the magnets hold the front in place
Hopefully this will save me time in the mornings not having to scrape the ice off the window just fold it up and go
I also think this will be good for the summer to reflect the sun helping to keep the car cooler it works so well I have just ordered another for my wife’s ca

Save having to scrape the ice

Needed a replacement windscreen cover since the previous one just wasn’t working out too well when the ice situation for worse and actually stuck the cover to the windscreen. This windscreen cover is much thicker, so it’s a lot easier to use without it lifting from the slightest bit of wind.
Quite big, but fits my car. Using the wing mirror covers and the flaps to close the door on, it keeps it in place and so far, it’s worked out well. Not experienced serious frost or freezing yet, so it’s probably a little too soon to judge the effectiveness, but for the little frost I’ve had, this has helped reduce the time needed to scrap my windscreen in the cold.
The material feels quite durable and the thickness is really good.
It comes with a bag, but I haven’t used it since I took the cover out. The bag is quite small, so it requires a bit of effort to fold it and tuck it back in and frankly, during my morning rush, I don’t have enough time for this. A bigger bag would make this easier to do, especially when it’s wet. I guess the bag was just to hold the cover to send out, because it’s not practical to re-use it for packing the cover on a daily basis.
14.89 is a very reasonable price for this given the thickness, and I’m happy with it so far.

This cover comes in a small storage bag which I keep in the boot. It is nicely packaged. It’s pretty easy to fit but very helpful if you have someone over the other side to assist. I like that it has covers that completely shield the wing mirrors from the elements too. The only problem I have with it is as I have roof rails, it raises the cover a bit, so rain and cold will still be able to get in a bit. Either way, it’s still useful to keep the leaves off the dash and keep away frost.

I have tested it with temperatures below freezing in the UK now. This cover works excellently even with the roof rails. I take it off each morning and put it in the boot and the windscreen is ready immediately to go. Can’t praise this enough. Highly recommend for those who don’t like scraping their car!!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis windshield has been really good as I am using it these days due to the freezing weather. It fit seamlessly for my Range Rover Evoque. I was a little worried, but it’s okay, I’m comfortable now.

I have work to go to early and I don’t have time to defrost the car early in the morning because I’m always late for work so I don’t want to waste even 5 minutes defrosting the window. Thanks to this glass protector, I saved 5-10 minutes.

In cold weather, I immediately start my car without wasting time and set off without wasting any time. It is an ideal size. Also, if it was 5-10CM smaller or larger, it would not be a problem because it is sufficient to protect the point where it touches the glass.

In addition, I was happy that it was designed from really high quality and good materials for its price. It was good for me that it was very simple to install. Because we are not good at these subjects and I really like to use the simplest products more. It’s great to be able to use it right out of the box and not need anything else.

Easy to install and put on just with one person. Elastic over side mirrors and the flaps tuck into the door when shut. Side mirror covers also have reflective strips for easy visibility at night. Complete windscreen coverage so perfect for these frosty mornings we’re going to have and easily folds away into the storage bag to be put into the boot.

    Perfect coverage

  40. MadisonBalfe says:

This car windscreen protector is well made, with four layers the outer aluminium layer protects against rain, frost and snow, while the inner layers are mainly for insulation. The four layers consist of aluminium foil, then two cotton layers in the middle, viz: spun cotton and higher density cotton, and finally, on the inside, a layer of Oxford cloth, which is made from polyester and is waterproof. The four layers are sewn together in a diamond-square quilt pattern, which looks quite strong, and is designed not to tear or fray in the wind.

I have a Dacia Sandero and it fitted perfectly. You spread the cover over the windscreen and tuck the side flaps into the half open door, and when the door closes the flaps are held tight, keeping the cover taut. There are special pockets which fit over the wing mirrors, which contribute to keeping the cover firmly in place, as well as protecting the mirrors from ice etc. These wing mirror pockets have reflective strips in them, which is a thoughtful idea, designed to avoid passing cars smashing the wing mirrors off.

There are supposed to be three magnets incorporated inside the cover which should magnetically clamp the cover to the metal of the car body, but I could not detect them, and if there was any magnetism, it was so weak that it is virtually unnoticeable. But I guess it doesn’t matter, since the screen cover works perfectly well without them. The manufacturer says the magnets do not work well in strong winds and are only designed to keep snow and ice out so they may well be something of a gimmick?

The cover comes in a light-weight storage bag, but I found it slightly difficult to get it back in the bag once it has been taken out and used. The windscreen cover can, of course, also be used in summer to reduce the entry of UV light and heat radiation getting into the car, and so reduce the intense heat which can build up inside the car sometimes during very hot weather.

Padded enough that it feels quite thick and looks good too. Although the fit isn’t as tight as I’d like it (I just have a little car) it still works. Reasonably priced and good value too.

Much better than the flimsy single layer thin thing I used last year. All that one did was freeze to my windshield when it got cold out.

I ordered this for my mum’s car, as shes the only household member that has a car. Because she does have to get up early for work, I was hoping that it would be easier for the ice on the windshield. It’s flexible like a cloth so no wires that makes it spring open. They have wing mirror covers so the mirrors don’t get iced over. This is a much better quality than the Wilko’s brand I bought. They don’t have the elastics that cheaper versions have and they don’t protect the mirrors either. Not been able to use this yet as there hasn’t been any weather warning for ice or snow. But with the cover being insulated, it should rebound the cold and reflevt any heat back it. Don’t quote me on that, but my mum is always busy so not had an access to her car for a demonstratio

I really like this windscreen protector because it has two additional holding gear, not only the side wings which need to be trapped by car’s door but there is also mirror elastic pouches and magnets on the cover itself. Material is strong and feels high quality in my opinion. The size is very good for most family cars with standard size windscreen. It nicely fit over my car’s windscreen whoch im very pleased about. This cover can be used whole year round, when is very sunny, when is dust storm or during winter. As we now approaching to the winter i will test this cover in this tricky for all motorists weather conditions. During winter, snowy night or day I will know for sure has it passed its test of durability and is it fit for purpose. Any problems, I will report back here again..

This is a nice big windscreen cover. It is just the right size to fit a majority of cars. Whilst I haven’t tried out the effectiveness in the cold frosty mornings yet, I can say that the magnetic part of this does enable it to stay firmly in place over night.

Great coverage. I particularly like the magnetised lower lip which should help prevent wind from getting underneath and flapping it around. Covers the whole windscreen and extends onto the bonnet so it’ll stop snow from gathering in the gulley where the windscreen wipers sit.

Reflective high vis strips on the wing mirrors which is useful if you park on a street.

I have a heated screen, so I don’t need this, but the poor old wife has to scrape her car and wait for the blowers to warm up in the winter. She misses her Ford!

Anyway, when we saw this, she ordered it without hesitation.

It comes in a neat little bag which is silver so easy to find in the boot in the dark. The screen blanket looks more like one for the summer, but I think having anything on the glass will stop the frost, or any snow. As for the condensation you will never get past this.

The design has had some thought, it has ‘winglets’ which you shut in the door to hold it in place, but it also has wing mirror covers as well. And if that wasn’t enough there are magnets in the lower part to keep it in place.

For the price not a bad product.

  48. BlancaKoerstz says:

This windscreen protector is very clever, compared to others ive had over the past 30 years because it attaches the lower half by 4 strong magnets the mid part actual is attached and zipped up for putting over each of the wing mirrors protecting them too, then the upper windscreen is added by the wings inside the car as many do get attached. The windscreen cover itself is made of 4 layers and done in a stitched diamond pattern. Besides ordering to do the job of protecting my windscreen and not expecting very much i can honestly say its very nice and of good quality aswell as the other points mentioned this item for the price is very very good. And it can be used not only as a windscreen protector for the winter weather but for the summer too keeping the heat out and lowering the overall heat in degrees by half.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice quality item !

  49. ElaneLilley says:

I had a cheap, very basic version of this, but this new one is so much better. It’s lightly padded, so thicker, and the mirror covers mean that it’s fixed there as well as at the flaps that fit behind the door, so more secure from winds. There’s apparently three magnets at the front, to fix on to the bonnet, but I couldn’t really tell if they worked or not. To be honest, that isn’t so important, as the weight of the cover and the four fix points mean it’s unlikely to move much at all. I’ll be using it for winter frosts, but you could just as easily use it in high summer temperatures to keep the inside cooler.

It also comes in a drawstring bag for storage, although it’s a bit awkward folding it back to the required size. This definitely looks like it’ll do the business and the price isn’t bad at all, so it’s a decent investment for winter and summer.
