Wasn’t sure what to expect when ordering this one – after all, the case included with the Deck ain’t half bad! I’m pleased to say that this is a straight upgrade, however, and at a really reasonable price!
Case arrived in great condition and felt far more premium than I was expecting when it came to material quality. Carry handle was nice and secure and really appreciated the foldover screen protector and extra storage inside – it’s little touches like these that make it a worthwhile upgrade. Highly recommended!

Nice spacious case that is quite large and allows you to carry your steam deck, micro sd cards, possibly a power bank or usb cable and slim power plug. The original UK plug that comes with the steam deck will not fit but there are plenty of slimline or plugs that fold up that will go in there no problem.
The case has a nice feel to it, good quality, you can also use it as a stand to watch movies if your travelling or a late night movie in bed. I like this case and for me it’s better than the one supplied with the steam deck.
The case is great I feel like it would protect my switch from a fall but it doesn’t fit the uk plug. Luckily I carry mine in a ruck sack so there’s always room for extras so it doesn’t matter too much. But keep it in mind if you want to keep everything in the one place
This is a high quality case that has so far protected my steam deck well. There is ample storage for as many spare micro SD cards as you could need for your entire steam library and enough room beneath the steam deck to carry a cable and usbc hub. However as somebody living in the UK the storage is just about to small to fit the official steam deck charger which was a real dissapointment. If you use a different style of plug or can find a third party charger this case would be perfect for carrying everything you need, as is I still have to carry the charger loose in my bag. Overall I would definitely recommend if you can find a plug that can fit or can cope with having to carry it separately
Hard case on the outside, nice and plush on the inside. This ensures your console will be safe of you take it out and about with you. It also has room for things like cables so you can take all your essentials with you, safely.
It feels like a very good quality case both inside and out. Definitely a must buy if you’re going to be taking your Steam Deck out and about.

while its better thought out than the official case, UK plug doesn’t quite fit in properly, i mean you can get it in but not as comfortably as you should be able to, so a bit disappointing.

This is a well made case. There is space for the steam deck even if it has a shell case on it.
The compartment is big enough to fit the charger, small power bank and some cables.
This makes it easy to pick your favourite accessories to carry with you.
There is a built in stand and cover, to hold the deck in place to avoid accidental drops when opening the case.
This cover also has space for SD.cards so you can load up many micro sds with all your games, label and store them to take on the go.
This is the perfect alternative case that’s isn’t too bulk and also keeps roughly the same form as the original case.
I would recommend especially at the current price.

VERIDICT
I can recommend it as long as the main intention is not carrying an UK charger as, unfortunately, they are too bulky even for this case.
DESCRIPTION
Unfortunately I have to preface that if you intend to carry an UK charge I don’t recommend this carry case.
If you have a plug from an EU country (or another plug with a small volume) or just want to carry other smaller / thinner accessories such as powerbank, then this case can and will be very helpful for you.
Overall a fairly solid case, a good handle, a very good zip and with some room for accessories and cards.
It’s still an improvement over the official one as long as you take care when storing things.
It’s about 8cm high, so around 1cm taller than the official steam case so it doesn’t make a big difference compared to the official.
Feels a just a little bit less rigid in comparison to the official but nothing too significant.
It has a small compartment below the screen of the deck that can be used to carry small accessories, small power bank, cables, earphones, etc. and it’s covered by a flap.
It also has an extra flap with a small net, that goes on top of the screen, that can carry SD cards and something more.
The steam deck, with or without a protective case, is a tight fit but that’s good in the sense that it won’t be moving around inside the case (just be careful to not pack the case too much leading to extra pressure when closing).
Worth to mention that the case and flap can be used as a stand so that can be a big plus for people that travel a lot.
This is a great case, it feels very sturdy and secure.
It can store a lot of accessories and makes transporting everything very easy.
It is made from high quality materials and keeps everything neat and tidy.

This case is exactly what I needed to keep my steam deck protected and safe! All the little pockets and storage parts are so useful and the case is big but lightweight so easy to carry around. My deck fits perfectly in it and the outside is perfectly aesthetic with a hand grip on the handle. I love it and I wouldn’t ever go back now I’ve got this case! thanks

Hard style carry and storage case for the steam deck console. This case is nice and large and inside is perfectly cut to hold the steam deck and all its accessories. It’s moulded to fit perfect and not allow any movement once closed up. It’s also soft lined to avoid any scratches or scrapes too! Has a pouch for sd cards and then a 3 corner zip to fully open up for easy access. Much cheaper than an official one and feels very premium! Would be nice to see a few other colours.
First impressions of the case are really good as it is made from a lovely textured, grey material which looks excellent and gives it a quality look and feel. The carry handle is made from nylon and has a rubber cover to it to make it more comfortable when holding it. It has one zip with two zippers to keep the lid securely closed. There are no holes in the zippers though so you can’t keep it locked with a small padlock. Inside the top of the lid, it is moulded to match the contours of the Deck and indents for the sticks to sit inside so they don’t get crushed while it’s in your bag.
One of the big features of this storage case is that is has a storage area at the bottom so you can store other items which is ideal for a USB-C lead, power bank, Bluetooth earbuds, and anything else you may find necessary to use with the Deck. The storage area is 17cm x 9.6cm x 3cm deep. It’s not the biggest of areas but it means you can carry additional accessories with your Deck without having to carry them separately. I was concerned about these accessories scratching the bottom of the Deck but there is a hard cover, which is covered in felt, which covers the storage area before you put your Deck on top. This prevents them from touching the bottom, so your Deck remains scratch free. There is another cover that goes on top of your Deck, and this has 5x elastic bays for memory card storage and a pouch that has a mesh front for other smaller accessories. The memory card pouches are better with a full-sized SD card though as just placing a Micro-SD card in them is a faff as they go deep in the pouch and are a pain to remove so if you have some, use an SD card adapter to store the Micro-SD card in before placing in a pouch. This cover can also stand up to give your Switch somewhere to rest with it in the upright position. It blocks the vents on the rear right of the Deck though so not the best idea to use it.
Overall, this case is better than the original as you have additional storage space for other accessories. It’s a very snug fit if you have a back cover on your Deck but it will fit and the lid will still close fine, it’s just a bit tighter. The case is quite strong so offers great protection for your Deck and keeps all of your accessories with your Deck so is ideal
When I got my Steam Deck I genuinely asked whether I needed to order myself another case seeing as it came with one, I’m glad that I decided to order this one. It makes excellent use of space without negatitng the protection of the console. With a compartment that sits below the device, I keep a charging cable for when I’m travelling and a soft glasses cloth to keep my screen clean of all the inevitable smudged finger prints. The storage sleeve that sits above the console has little pockets for memory cards which is fantastic, especially if you’re like my and use your Steam Deck not just for games off of steam but as an emulator as well. I really like the addition of the velcro strap to prevent the console from falling out when I first open up the case. An additional bonus which I make far more use of than I anticipated is that way the top storage section folds and forms a stand. It’s a great way of preventing the console getting overheated in your lap and if you like to multi-task, the case sits perfectly on your deck allowing you to game on your Steam Deck whilst doing whatever else you’d like whether that’s working on your computer or something else. The case is high quality and the built-in stand is not only useful but surprisingly sturdy. Highly recommend to any Steam Deck owner to replace the case that came with the device with this one, makes life so much easier and still offers brilliant protection.

Quality protective carry case for your steam deck. The steam deck fits perfectly inside and you have plenty of space for some extra accessories. The case itself is made very well and offers lots of protection, the outside case is hard whilst the inside has some extra padding that covers your screen and you can use the velcro to keep the steam deck in place. Being able to use this case as a stand is such a great feature and comes in really handy to have somewhere to put your deck down safely.
The only downside is the official UK plug doesn’t actually fit inside the case unless you get a smaller adapter that comes with pins that collapse.

Really nice hard case for the steamdeck. Looks and feels nice and sturdy. But, as others have put. Doesn’t fit the uk plug. Which is annoying. However, the official case has a rubbish way of storing the plug anyway. So actually this is still the preferred case to keep it in over the official one.

The case arrived well packed. It feels well designed and strong but I can’t fit the plug which defeats the purpose. There are extra compartments for small accessories like SD cards etc and the hard shell offers good protection. Still good quality
This case is what the official steam deck carry case should have been but it should be about another inch and a half deeper to support UK plugs.
This case has the same quality feel the official steam deck case has. It looks like it will easily protect your deck just like the official one as well. The one drawback however, is that the little compartment just isn’t deep enough to hold a standard UK plug. If you use EU or US plugs though then this case is perfect for you.
Looking beyond the UK plug problem, I really like this case. From the little compartment to the strap that holds your SD cards that also folds out into a stand and then when your finished will sit over your steam deck screen, acting as a screen protector, It’s great. I will be using this case as my travel case where I don’t need a plug as the little compartment holds my power bank and cable quite easily (see picture).
With regards to plugs. If you have a mobile phone style plug where the earth prong will fold down (see picture with white plug) or you have a travel plug where you can detach the plug heads then you could easily use this case. It’s such a shame as for 18 at the time of writing, this is a 5 star item.
The Hard Shell Travel Protective Case for Steam Deck is a nice, if rather large, alternative to the official case you get with the Steam Deck itself. It allows you to hold extra micro SD cards, leads, PSU and other bits and pieces while also providing good protection for the console and acting as a stand.
While the UK 3 pin plug system does mean it’s a lot safer it often is at the sacrifice of being able to pack it easily, unless you use the sliding top pin that Samsung is fond of. This Hard Shell Travel Protective Case for Steam Deck allows you to store a power supply in the base under the Deck itself but doesn’t account for the 3 pin issue that the UK has. Thankfully, the Steam Deck official plug does allow you to take the top part off and it does fit that way, but it’s a little more fiddly than I’d have liked.
Other than that, the rest of the space is put to good use with the fold down section able to act as a stand, though it sadly covers much of the back including the vents that are required to push hot air out, so you wouldn’t want it to stand there for long.
With a hardshell case on the Deck this is a very snug fit, too, but at least it does fit. There’s a decent carry handle on the top and the zip seems to be good quality. Overall, it’s pretty good, just a shame about the plug and the bulk of the case in general.
While the steam deck has it’s own official case included, this is a big improvement.
For a start, this case has extra compartment space to store small accessories. The only downside is the compartment doesn’t fit the official charge cable which is a little annoying as that is what I intended to use it for. Unless you can get a smaller plug, it’s not going to fit. However it will fit other smaller accessories. I put in a pair of wireless earbuds which I use with my deck and they fit perfectly.
There’s also slots for sd cards should you save you’re games to them instead of on the deck’s internal memory. They sit in a fabric piece that folds over the console, much like switch cases often have.
Another improvement is the addition of a fabric overlay that sits over the screen and is held by velcro. The official case hasn’t got this and runs the risk of your deck falling out accidentality if you pick it up when it’s unzipped. This is a much needed design to help protect an expensive bit of kit.
Inside is lined with soft fabric and moulded to suit the deck’s shape much like the official case. It’s slightly taller to give some extra room, but still holds the deck securely. It’s a hard shell case with a well sown canvas fabric. Not as high a quality as the official case, but still very close.
At the time of writing the case costs 18 which is about right for steam deck accessories.
Overall a much better case. We’re there space to fit the charger, I would give this 5 star no qualms.
I really like my official steam deck case – though it does annoy me a little bit that I’ve got to store the charger in the back of it, as it makes it quite fiddly. Fortunately, this hard shell carry case for the Steam Deck actually comes up with a really neat design for it’s internal space, which allows plenty of room for your charger, without any worry of it coming into contact with the back for the steam deck thanks to it being in an almost “hidden department” right at the bottom.
I really like how the case can easily act as a built in stand and i’ve found this actually quite useful for charging the case. Unfortunately the case does come with an “artificial” smell, which remained with it for the first 48 hours or so before clearing. This is a shame as otherwise I would of used it immediately.
It offers decent protection for the steam case itself, with cut outs for the joysticks and shoulder buttons. The steam deck’s a comfortable fit within it and it works well as a travel companion. If you’re looking for a replacement carry case for your steam deck – it’ll be hard to top this one.
