Well am I glad I finally took the plunge and bought this absolutely love it! I have a few dive watches, DSSD, PO, SMP, Pelagos .. this new addition is in some very prestigious company and it fits in perfectly! Straight out of the box you can feel the quality on it, it looks fantastic, the size is perfect, it’s clearly legible, the iconic case design is instantly lovable and to top it of it hits the markers perfectly (which has been a problem for me with more expensive quartz watches that didn’t get to stay long) It didn’t take long for me to register the watch with Citizen for the extra 1 year warranty which now stands at an impressive 6 years, then onto the user manual which explains the multitude of features that aren’t going to be used by me but I no doubt will be talking the boys through down the pub sometime soon! This is a proper diver made for a purpose, and I would imagine it carries the job off perfectly. The strap that came with it .. not my thing so that’s been changed for a slightly less in your face silicone two piece. Great watch and a great price! Purchase of the year so far, don’t think about it .. get one!
Orologio molto bello e realizzato con materiali di ottima fattura. Mi aspettavo il quadrante un po’ pi grande, ma forse il mio polso che piuttosto grande. Comunque veramente bello. Arriva in confezione scatola, non nella bombola gialla.
Non posso paragonarlo al vecchio modello poich il primo che posseggo, solo il cinturino risulta un pochino duro, ma forse dovuto al fatto che nuovo.
Il pacco ricevuto era ben confezionato, all’interno per non ho trovato il libricino delle istruzioni.
Perfect size for my wrist.. The nuclear orange on the minute hand gives the watch that perfect hint of color, as it stands out with the black background.. What a beauty.. Oh……… and it arrived a few days earlier.. What a great gift for the weekend.. Thank you good sir…
This is the original and probably the best designed proper dive watch. I had one of these 25 years ago. I loved it then and I still love it now.
Montre reue en 2 jours, et la surprise a t la bouteille de plonge, je m’y attendais pas, je pensais avoir une bote de montre classique.. vraiment content du contenant et du contenu La montre est trs sympa, et le bracelet particulirement long, pour moi qui est un gros poignet, c’est une trs bonne chose. Montre confortable et lgre finalement. Sauf seul dfaut, d’tre quartz finaleme
….in eine Uhr. Ich verstehe ja sowieso nicht, wieso man so viele Uhren braucht, aber jeder hat eine eigene Leidenschaft. Mein Mann ist begeistert von der Uhr! Mehr kann ich noch nicht sagen, da er sie erst seit Kurzem hat.
Orologio fantastico, bello esteticamente con le funzioni che servono. Per chi fa immersioni possibilit di avere dati a riguardo. Massiccio ed elegante allo stesso tempo.

No trae la escala de profundidades y tiempos en la correa ni en amarillo ni en ningn otro color 🙁 NO EXISTE y tampoco se enva en LA CAJA/BOTELLA AMARILLA, por lo menos ambas cosas en mi caso, que para m “era lo mejor 🙂 De hecho lo he devuelto por ello. stato fatto ad un amico per regalo, lo aveva gi avuto molti anni fa e ne era rimasto molto soddisfatto prima che glielo rubassero, quindi lo rivoleva perch va molto bene per lui che fa surf e pesca subacquea.
Ho riconsegnato l’orologio perch era stato gi usato. Non aveva le normali pellicole sul vetro,sulla cassa e sulla fibbia.Inoltre il libretto delle istruzioni era fuori dalla scatolina che lo doveva contenere.Poi,l’orologio era in funzione,cosa che non deve accadere in un orologio al quarzo,che ti solito viene venduto con la corona svitata per non consumare la batteria inutilmente.
Reedicin clsica de citizen. Es un reloj que cumple con las expectativas. Y un diseo atemporal.

I used one of these watches 22 years ago whilst diving, loved the watch and sadly it gave up ticking after about 18 years of use.
I bought the current model for sale and had my doubts whether it would have all of the original features and design of the original. I can say that I am hugely happy with my purchase as it is like putting my old watch on again, I love it. Apart from some minor differences on the back plate, not any to grumble about, its identical, including the ND Times on the wrist strap.
I unfortunately don’t use the watch for diving anymore but use it all the time for general use and would recommend to anyone who wants an excellent, outstanding “old time piece” to purchase one.
Reloj muy prctico. Buen lume, buenos acabados, pantalla digital muy clara. El acabado arenado de la caja est muy bien. Legibilidad absoluta. La correa es algo rgida, pero es lgico teniendo en cuenta que est diseado para su uso como diver.
There is NO instruction manual in the box. Increasingly companies are saving paper by having you download the manual. I prefer paper for archival purposes but a Google search for the manual turned it up. I am in the US. Oddly searching the UK site did not find this watch, nor did searching the US Citizen site. Google was my friend here.
There has been a question about having warranty cards pre-stamped. I have seldom seen that here in the US. Usually we have to fill in the info ourselves and just keep a copy of the receipt. I was unable to do the warranty registration through the UK site as they have no provision for designating a US address on the form. I sent an email to them asking if there was a way to gain the extra year living in the US and in an answer I was directed to try the US site. I registered it there although I have not received the confirmation email they said I would. I’m betting this is considered a “gray market” purchase but I should still be able to get the full 5 year warranty as the US is specifically mentioned and the additional year through the US Citizen site. Citizen does have a checkbox for purchases through Amazon which tells me Amazon is a valid reseller of Citizen watches.
The case back is laser engraved. The way of the world. I too would have preferred the old style cast case back but nothing we can do about that.
Oddly, the price fluctuated almost daily after ordering mine for a staggeringly low price of $260 US. So far, so good. Looks great. Looking for silicone clone straps however. These rubber (PU ?) Straps have always been horrible and very uncomfortable. No scuba tank. Would have been nice but considering the price I picked this beauty up for… I’m good.

Per il resto che dire, un icona, il primo orologio con profondimetro digitale uscito nel 1986, questa ne una copia, l’originale seppur identico aveva il fondello dietro a 6 viti che lo rendevano leggermente meno spesso, l’originale aveva 3 batterie questo solo 1 (molto meglio), qua hanno anche leggermente ingrandito il display digitale, per il resto se non siete appasionati non noterete alcuna differenza, lo consiglio ma occhio al prezzo! aspettatelo sotto i 300 euro e compratelo.

Appassionato del marchio CITIZEN da sempre ritengo che anche questo modello (rispetto al 6viti) un gran mulo da lavoro mai avuto problemi con il salino “non perde tempo” e mi sta addosso tutto il giorno senza pesarmi. Orologio evergreen che non ha bisogno della mia recensione
Llevaba mucho tiempo detrs de este icono de relj y tras una buena oferta me decid a tenerlo por fin en mi coleccin. El producto tal y como se describe en el anuncio. La correa no trae la regla impresa ni la botella-estuche tan famosa, pero contaba con ello. Por lo dems super contento con la compra, el reloj lleg en tiempo record a mi casa. Recomendable 100%
The depth sensor while serving no actual purpose to me personally is a huge part of the charm for me as it sets it apart from all the other divers out there and makes it instantly recognisable, but everything about the design is just perfect. I fell in love with the watch when I first saw one back in the 80’s, and still love it just as much now. So great that the only changes in that time are slight. Yes the engraved elements such as the case back and function indicators are now laser etched which is a bit of a shame, but hey at least not deal breakers or certainly not for me. The whole thing screams 80’s, and in the best way possible, it’s an all time classic imo.
There are some really useful functions that even us no divers can take advantage of, being ana-digi we get the likes of day/date display, stopwatch, alarm and if course always useful time lapse bezel. Everything has a great quality feel to it, bezel super satisfying and precise and seconds hand does an admirable job of hitting it’s markers.
People have been saying for years that Citizen will discontinue this model, thankfully so far those rumours have been unfounded but who knows what the future holds. I’m thankful for once, despite all years, I didn’t leave it too late. If you’ve been eyeing this watch for years though I wouldn’t hand about much longer just incase.

Purtroppo manca la confezione classica a forma di bombola da sub e non era segnalato nella descrizione, comunque essendo un acquisto fatto su Warehous Deals a causa della confezione rotta e con un buon 33% di sconto sul prezzo di mercato direi che va benissimo cos.

Sia chiaro , il venditore , mi ha spedito in fretta , un’eccellente orologio arrivato in eccellenti condizioni ; qual’e il problema ? Il venditore non ha timbrato il certificato di garanzia ; spero di non aver bisogno di portarlo in un centro assistenza !

It’s size are good enough for reading in low light, I am not a diver so I can’t verify it’s qualities under water.
I had the original model from 1986 and liked it so much and bought this new one, there are very little differences between them, but nothing major, things like the lid at the back used to have screw’s, at the front where it reads diver it used to be just DM.
So nothing major, still in my opinion still a great watch.

Beim Armband muss ich mich anderen Rezensionen anschlieen. Es ist unwahrscheinlich hart und auch die Laschen fr das Bandende sind unangenehm. Das war frher deutlich angenehmer zu tragen. Habe diverse andere Uhren, deren Armbnder stabil und wesentlich tragefreundlicher sind.
Werde das Band tauschen um die schne Uhr auch im Alltag tragen zu knnen.
Ansonsten top. Citizen Promaster halt.
You would really struggle to find anything that represents better value
Just out of curiosity, I threw it in the pressure tester along with a modern dive computer, depth readings matched exactly, so its certainly accurate. But a limited number of dive logs (just 4) and quite small depth display, mean it’s never going to compete with the modern equivalent.
Included strap is a bit stiff and uncomfortable too, drop it on a good MN strap or a NATO/Zulu and you’re good to go.
I’ve been using citizen quartz underwater watches since 1986 when my big chunky analogue watch I’d had since 1974 was finally laid to rest on Zabargad Island in the Egyptian Red Sea. The one pictured was a replacement I had to make in 1990 when my original was stolen in the Maldives. The Maldives duty free had these in stock at a great price
It’s never missed a beat since, regularly serviced for battery o-ring and straps in Singapore’s citizen watch centre.
In all it’s done 5,490 dives all over the world. It pays to get it done at a recognised service centre for warranty and longevity.

Die Verarbeitungsqualitaet ist absolut perfekt und hat meine Erwartungen uebertroffen, sie brauch sich hierbei nicht hinter meiner Omega Seamaster verstecken. Ausserdem kommt die Promaster Aqualand deutlich schicker daher als auf den Fotos von Amazon abgebildet. Besonders gefaellt mir wie akkurat das Uhrwerk laeuft, der analoge Sekundenzeiger laesst sich uebrigens exakt mit der Digitalanzeige synchronisieren, das laesst einen laecheln. Die Uhrzeit ist auch im Dunkeln gut ablesbar, war die Uhr lange dem Tageslicht ausgesetzt, leuchtet das Lume sogar sehr stark nach.
Da ich z.Z. in Suedostasien lebe und sehr haeufig Tauchen gehe, habe ich auch hierbei alle Funktionen ausgiebig getestet, der Tiefenmesser arbeitet sehr genau und die LOG Funktionen der letzten 4 TGs ist hilfreich, der Alarmton fuer zu schnellen Aufstieg ist ueberraschend laut, laesst sich jedoch leider nicht abschalten (z.B. fuer Apnoetauchen). Insgesamt als Back-Up Device eine gute Wahl, einen Tauchcomputer ersetzt die Uhr jedoch nicht, ist aber auch nicht als solcher konzipiert. Ebenfalls, nach dem ersten Auspacken, positiv ueberrascht, hat mich ein im Logbuch gespeicherter Tauchgang in 79m Tiefe, offenbar werden die Taucheruhren bei Citizen vor Auslieferung individuell geprueft.
Man bekommt fuer den Preis eine wirklich gute und verlaessliche Uhr, besonders Taucher kommen dank zahlreicher Funktionen auf ihre Kosten. Fuer viele mag die Citizen jedoch zu schwer und globig wirken, die Uhr hat nunmal einen sehr ‘tooligen’ Look, ist jedoch auch sehr robust und massiv. Ich selbst mag das original Kautschukarmband mit der aufgedruckten Dekotabelle sehr gerne, werde jedoch zusaetzlich ein Nato Strap bestellen, dann macht sie sich auch im Anzug hervorragend.
Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden und empfehle die Uhr mit bestem Gewissen weiter. Love it.
