I had severe condensation problems in my music studio which isn’t insulated and is outside on a temporary basis. This machine has worked wonders. I leave it on for a few hours and it collects loads of water. Such a cheap solution to my problem!
Its not exactly compact but is great in our caravan and collects a lot of water. It has pretty changing lights which can be switched off and its easy to empty and has a large water container three settings to choose automatic which swithes off when it reaches 50% humidity or continuous or quiet mode for bedrooms.
Really draws moisture well (300ml a day not unusual)
Not as silent as expected (-1 star for that), but performance and price almost negates this. I use in bedroom with door closed when not in.
in the manual it says that the auto mode is supposed to automatically switch the unit off when it comes down to 50% ..however the unit only does this when it reaches 40%, however it was found that the hydrometer readout was consistently giving readings 10% below the actual humidity level anyway ..so it was in fact correctly switching of at 50% but was incorrectly showing 40 when it happened…so now i finally understand what is going on here i can work with it but this is not an accurate machine, -10% is a bit lame…so minus one star for that.
We tend to get a little condensation on the ceiling of our Motorhome when the weather drops, whilst it sits unused. This is perfect to leave on auto. Highly efficient when running but the auto feature is great; it turns itself off when the humidity is at an acceptable temperature.
This is small so I’m not convinced it would have a lot of impact for use in a room in the house. Definitely not one for us in a bathroom.
It’s quiet so would be ok to sleep in the same room.
It’s a ‘Yes’ from me
Bought this for drying clothes but also for drying out the bathroom after the kids bathe. So far, it has worked well for both purposes and doesn’t cost a lot in electricity while running. The tank is quite large so it doesn’t need emptied too often. I can leave it alone during the day time and not worry about emptying it for hours.
It draws water out of the air but also out of fabrics sufficiently.
The best thing is it has a quiet hum to it. After a while you forget about the sound and it could be slept through. The lights are also nice at night.
Aesthetically, it fits well in the room. It doesn’t look like a big chunk of plastic.
The modes are also good such as the timer, which is reliable and accurate. I also like the carry handle so I can take it room to room and it isn’t too heavy.
Overall, I think it’s good for the price point. It’s a great size for the price, and it is sturdy enough, too. I’d recommend it for room drying or clothes drying as I’ve tried both and can say it works.
Works really well in drying my clothes. Left it in the bathroom for a night and all my clothes was dried the next morning. Helps prevent mould from building up in my bathroom too.
My conservatory suffered really badly from moisture especially in the morning. Since putting this in it I no longer have water running down the windows constantly. Really compact and easy to use. A much cheaper solution to the disposable packs ..in the long run that is!
Got it for my new decorate living room, it is lovely good easy to useand easy to install, it works perfectly, this Dehumidifier, 2300ML Dehumidifiers for Home, Dual Semiconductors & LED Lights, Auto-Defrost Auto-Off 3 Modes Humidity Control, Dehumidifiers for Drying Clothes, White, I’m happy of my purchase, value for money
An impressive dehumidifier equipped with an LED display as well as controls for auto, sleep and full-power mode. The video attached showcases the dehumidifier operating in full-power mode, with the fan noise at a tolerable level.
I found it really helped when drying my clothes in the small apartment I have. It prevented mold build up in the bathroom and it has a nice astheic to go with it. It also has different modes which are useful during the night when I sleep with it on. Thanks !!!
Perfect item in our house, get rid of the dampness in the living space, clothes dry way quicker with it as well. Camble is long enough so good for any rooms and quick dry of the bathroom to avoid damp, highly recommended product!
Bought this for window condensation. It works also cleaned my room air my wife likes that she regularly use i think i bought very good item. I recommend this product really nice working but a bit noisy
Good value for money. Tank is really big, definitely exceeded my expectations. I keep it in the laundry room when I dry my clothes, have been really good so far.
I never could believe that I need to have this in my house. Best think when you keep clothes inside house or you have rainy day. Very quiet working and do not take space able to set up time to start working and switch off after time been use led lights it’s making house to look nice. Recommend
I face dampness in my kitchen only because there’s not enough ventilation. This humidifier works great in this small room. It turns off automatically when there’s no damp. So, definitely worth buying!
Bought to replace smaller unit which stopped working. This works very well and I can maintain 50% humidity. On automatic it just gets on with the job. Surprising how much it can collect.
Bought to augment my larger dehumidifier which I use for drying clothes. This little one is ok but not great at getting rid of moisture, it works but very slowly, the collection container will easily last a fortnight so it’s alright to lock away and forget in a small room with the door shut because it is much noisier than my 20yo existing dehumidifier which is still going strong and extracts at least 10 times as much moisture in a given time. My advice would be to use this as secondary only for very small rooms and don’t expect it to work quickly. If it is to be your only dehumidifier then pay 5 times as much and get 10 times the performance.
I dry washing indoors, and this winter I noticed lots of moisture and black mould building up because we reduced the central heating.
After looking at lots of reviews etc I narrowed my search to looking for the best moisture removal for power and price. This unit advertised 800mls/24 hours, way above most models (around 400mls) for a similar price.
And it really works!! I reckon we get around 600mls/day but I think that’s because the amount of moisture in the air is reduced as the washing dries so there is less to extract.
The moisture level in the house has dropped significantly (no more wet windows, no more mildew) by keeping this unit in our utility-type room with the washing drying on airers (closed door).
Much cheaper than a tumble drier, we’ve been running this baby pretty much all winter.
Clothes take about 24 hours to dry (longer for jeans or towels) as we don’t have the heating on much above 17degrees and only when we’re in the house. So drying time isn’t reduced as such, but the rest of the house isn’t affected by the water.
It’s pretty satisfying to see how much water is extracted and thinking “this would have been absorbed by the walls/furnishings”
Definitely recommend for washing uses. I don’t think this would be as effective on a large area.
The light system is fine – but I use in a utility room so I generally turn it off! The sleep mode is probably about as loud as a standing fan, normal mode is similar to a microwave.
I’ve learned to point the back of the unit into the room so the blowing vents aid air circulation. So it’s a bit annoying that the screen side then isn’t visible when you do this. But TBH you don’t need to see the screen, I just get a bit obsessed over seeing the air moisture level – it’s very satisfying to see it go down!!
I got this for my bedroom as I live in a basement flat that seems to get damp easily. This has been a great help in taking the excess water out the air and doubles up as a night light for me. The noise is okay it isn’t loud but it isn’t quiet either. Overall it does the job it is intended for and I would recommend it.
I was really surprised how much water this collects. The product is a good size however I could of opted for a smaller model but this doesn’t take up too much space. I’ve left it running next to my bed and it was quiet enough not to disturb my sleep, has a night light too. I don’t really know how energy efficient it is as I don’t have a smart meter. Easy to move around. The cable is about a metre long so it needs to be near plug sockets unless using an extension cord.
I no longer get condensation on my living room windows. This dehumidifier is brilliant, not too noisey and only takes 65w to run. If you are having issues with condensation or damp this is a must have purchase.
Fairly quiet and work well. If it would remember the previous settings when switching it on then would have given 5 stars.
A serious roof leak and a very expensive hire charge for a dehumidifier brought about the purchase of this model….it was cheaper than the hire charge and will ever be available.
The dehumidifier is compact and not too noisy although a low pitch drone can be heard within the house whilst in operation.
The unit doesn’t seem to collect much moisture even in an atmosphere of 90% or more. It does however make a difference when used regularly.
Very low power consumption even with holdouts of use.
Very efficient device. Is noiser than I expected, even in both modes, but is efficient at it’s job. The humidity % is useful to monitor.
Not the quietest, so only using it through the day and turning it off overnight, not as powerful as our other dehumidifier, it doesn’t manage to pull as much moisture, however, it does appear to be doing the job, it took a week I think for the room to get drier but it eventually got there (might have helped running 24 hours maybe) but as the image shows it has certainly helped took delivery 1st Dec and by the 8th the room is better, I’m now considering using the automatic setting to save on power consumption.
To early to give feedback , currently seems to be working well , 2 days to early to give feedback
Living in a damp part of the Highlands this machine is well worth the money. It is quite quiet but I did find it a bit slow.
It’s compact and easy to move about.
I have breathing problems so high humidity is not good this machine has helped in that. Also put it next to drying clothes which are hung inside.
Thanks
This is very light and easy to use. A bit smaller than I thought and it tqkes time to work bur it does what it is intended to.
We live in an old built house so it always has condensation on the windows, because of this problem the house is constantly damp especially during winter. We have tried using different dehumidifiers however it doesn’t work very well.
I saw this new product on Amazon and thought I would give it a try. Its brilliant I can see a big difference in the house compared to my old one that I have been using. Its very strong and powerful. The suction is very powerful and can quickly absorb all the condensation in one room. Another reason why its great is because its quiet during the night so it won’t disturb my sleep and the nightlight is very soothing. When its full it will flash red to let you know to empty it so you don’t need to constantly check.
At the moment I have a dehumidifier for one room so i always need to switch rooms, I will be buying more so I can put it in every single room.
Small and light… easy to move. I have used in several rooms and it seems to collect water. I had a small amount of mould appearing under my bedriom windows due to condensation but after cleaning it off and using this for a couple of weeks my windows are dry. Seems to collect a fair amount of water but it’s on most of the time. The lights are a nice touch and can be turned off. Fairly quiet. Happy so far.
My flat is very dry and warm so it took all day to collect enough to even top up the space you get at the top of a coffee cup before adding milk ‘.
Obviously if you have a big moisture problem ‘ then it’s usually due to poor air circulation where window vents get clogged by leaves and other muck ‘.
You usually find window vent’s in the top of a window ‘.
Next you should check that furniture isn’t pushed right up against walls ‘ because the movement of air past a surface ‘ is enough to prevent mould starting ‘.
If you still have mould or dampness then there could be a blocked gutter outside ‘ that is causing water to track down through the brickwork ‘.
Another possibility is when a pile of cement falls between the inner and outer wall during construction of the building ‘. This often causes moisture to track from an outer wall to an inner wall .
Flooding from the ground can be a cause in low lying area’s ‘ but good air circulation will prevent mould forming ‘ because it doesn’t like any kind of draught ‘.
Bleach is unlikely to stop any mould or dampness ‘ but there are suitable products and spray’s out there to kill the mould ‘, sadly you may still need to call out a specialist to remove even dead mould ‘ as it can still pose a significant health risk !
If you establish what caused the build up of moisture ‘ and succeed in creating a dry clean surface ‘ then you may be able to seal the offending area with an anti damp paint ‘ but good air circulation is essential and you may also need to open a window or get a fan installed ‘.
The dehumidifier works ‘ but if you have a very large area ‘ then you may need a larger one ‘.
A new one is usually going to be the cheapest to run ‘ but if money is tight or you need a much larger version ‘ then it’s worth a look in thrift stores ‘ or second hand shop’s or second hand furniture outlet’s ‘.
I live in a small one bed flat so this has been ideal for me. I was getting a lot of condensation and mould in the bathroom possibly because I have not been using the heating. By using the dehumidifier in the bathroom overnight significantly reduced the condensation. During the day I’m running it in the bedroom for healthier air.
Great product. Not very loud but we keep it in a room for laundry so wouldn’t really notice it anyway. It has cut down the drying time drastically. Only knocked off one star because the lid of the water collecting container is really flimsy and a bit snapped off the first time I opened it but luckily this doesn’t affect the useage at all so we didn’t bother asking for a replacement.
Definitely the best dehumidifier of this size and price as I have a few of these and this one definitely draws the most moisture out of the air.
It’s cutting down on heating bills as I don’t need to have the windows open as much to keep the damp out.
Because of the small dehumidifiers around the house I’m yet to put the heating on.
Impressed with the usable features particularly the Auto function.
Only thing with this dehumidifier is it’s slightly noisy so not good in bedrooms even in its quiet mode.
Also the sensor is way off a good 10% under what it should be.
*best to buy a cheap humidity sensor to track the humidity in the house
