Charged up pretty quickly and the settings are easy enough to understand and use.
Kept in the car for emergencies and it survived even the big freeze we had without any issues and after a few months I tested it and it hasn’t lost any power.
Thankfully I have not had the need to jump start my car yet. But I’m safe in the knowledge knowing that is there in my glove compartment ready to be used.
Seems decent enough construction quite happy with the produc
Fortunatly I’ve only had to use this once in the very early hours of the morning and I have never been so greatful of this charger as I’m sure my neighbours wouldn’t have appreciated me knocking them up to jump start my car.
I love the added benefits this charger gives such as the spot light, the lcd display to show how far your battery is before it reaches full charge and as if this isn’t enough this can also charge your mobile.
Personally i would ensure any family members have this kit kept in their car it’s fantastic value for money, so very practical and compact.
Comprehensive instructions which are great for those that are not car savvy like myself and best of all you don’t need to wait for another person to drive by to jump start your car.
Well constructed, strong casing and clips. Have used it, and perfect action. Comes in a strong smart case. Quick recharge action. Excellent value for money. 70 well spent.
After reading many reviews different pumps this one was chosen its brilliant well worth money no more that bloody cable wrap up simply charge it up ready great.
. I like this kit , is a bit heavy and noisy to be honest but does the job very good .its actually charges quickly and can do about 5/6 tyres in one go which is not bad at all.
Soo much power to start my massive diesel engine on a merc and im surprised! Well worth the investment and especially on a good one like this defo recommended
This works really well and is super easy to use. Instructions are simple to follow. I’ve used this a few times and has worked every time. Great value for money.
It came 80% charged, so finished charging it, connected it to the battery pressed the start engine button and the car started first time.
Very useful to keep it at home or in a car, easy to use and must have in winter time
Looks like an excellent piece of kit. Good instructions. Have yet to use i
I’ve used this for pumping up the tyres on both my car and cycles. Extremely easy to use.
I have no criticisms but I do find it quite noisy, so not to be used on Sunday morning!
Comes with a booklet of easy to follow instructions.
Very nice build quality and appears very durable. Great extra features including USB ports and a torch. USC-C in (cable included), two USB-A out (one is 3.0).
Unfortunately, (or fortunately depending how you look at it!) I haven’t had the opportunity to test it’s jump start capability. However I don’t have any reason to believe that it wouldn’t do a good job.
The carry case is very durable and means this can be dumped in your boot for when that unfortunate events arises.
Very solid top quality item. Built in torch with flash for location alert. Essential kit for this time of year. Comes with a strong smart case. This one is for my husbands car. I have one from lidl but this is a far superior pack.
This jump starter is pretty weighty, but a decent piece of kit. Everything comes inside a hard shelled case, which is good if you leave this knocking around your car boot.
For me winter is the time of flat batteries and car lights left on, s this is an essential piece of kit for the ca. As well as working as a jump starter (And it comes with jump leads) it is also good as a power brick for charging electronic devices.
At this price, I would’ve hoped it would come with its own USB plug – but it doesn’t – otherwise I can’t fault it!
If you have ever got stuck with a flat battery then you will know how important one of these Power Pack starters is !
We used to have a 1.9 Turbo Diesel Motorhome that was in a lockup 3 miles from home & if ever we got there after it being standing a while our Power Pack got us out of the sticky stuff …. & yes it’s easier than trying to jump start with cables … Especially as our car at the time was a 1.2 Fiat 500 !
You seriously need to consider one of these … especially if you have an Automatic as they CANNOT be “Bump Started”
This also has the added bonus of a torch … & 2 x USB ports to power or charge up laptops / phones e.t.c of just power a couple of lights if you want a weekend away camping !
The one Great things about this one is that it doesn’t have a NON-standard charging lead … any USB C cable will do . I used my 120W Xiaomi Phone charger & it was a lot faster than plugging it into a normal USB wall charger or socket, Although I believe it will only use 60w while charging…
To jump start the car all you do is attach the jump leads to the Power Pack & then the connect the RED (Positive ) First to the + Terminal on your cars battery & then the BLACK (Negative) to the – Terminal on your car battery then press the JUMP button for 3 seconds & the Display will display READY (In Orange) …. wait & then the Orange will Turn Green & then you are o.k to start the car.
Then remove the clamps in reverse order & Remove the Leads from the Power Pack & replace in the Case …
DON’T forget to charge it up again when you get home …. & check it every 4 weeks to make sure it has power … For when you might need it .
Remember to use the Power Pack from time to time to charge your laptop/phone e.t.c then it will keep the battery fresh.
Hope this helps …….
You can do about 8 tyres on a full charge with this, which is great; doesn’t take ages to charge and is very compact.
How much easier is it being able to jump start your own car, rather than wait around with jump leads waiting for a kindly stranger and hoping they aren’t a weirdo.
I haven’t had the need to use the jump leads yet, however based on how robust and well made the devise is I anticipate that they will be effective. The devise is compact (a lot smaller than having jump leads in the car) and comes in a hard shell case. The cables are very short (allowing for compact packaging) but long enough to rest the battery under the bonnet. The instructions are straight forward with universal colour coded clamps (red positive, black negative). The battery can also be used as a power bank for devises and has a high powered torch, making this a handy multi use tool.
This is one of those items that lives in the boot of my car just incase, much like my tyre inflation devise. I hope I don’t have to use it, however knowing its there and that I know the basics and how to get my car moving is very reassuring!
This is a very useful car charger It is compact and easy to use. There is a pouch for carrying. It can be used on cars and motorbikes and I believe some waterprooft . When fully charged it is easy to connect to vehicle and there is a very good digital display. There is an LED light with 3 modes and also phone charger included. My husband showed me connecting his car but of course we could not use it as none of our vehicles required charging. However we tried out the phone charger and the ligh
Hi, great gadget, very easy to use, we have a slow puncher and it pumped it up in about 5mins, it takes a bit longer than my others but I was able to leave it unattended rather than having the car unlocked and with a corded one plugged in, it’s not too noisy and does the job, I did feel I was pressing the wrong buttons as it wouldn’t turn on at first but got there in the end, overall a good device to have
We have an alternative jump starter kit for one of our cars with a 3L diesel engine that apparently is designed not to charge the battery fully. This unit should be capably of starting the same engine, but is a third of the size and about a quarter of the weight.
Charging the unit was a simple affair, there is a USB socket to plug a cable in to. The unit can also provide power to two other USB devices by means of a USB-C and USB socket.
The battery can be turned on by pressing and holding the power button, this displays the percentage charge on the good-sized LCD screen. Pressing the power button again cycles through a few different lighting effects.
To turn the unit off just leave the device alone for a while with no functions turned on.
To enable the jump start function, you need to plug in the special leads, attach them to the jump connection points of the car, and then press the ‘engine’ light whilst the device is on. The device should detect the voltage, and if within a suitable range (it will apparently refuse to supply if the voltage is below 2V), it should start to supply full voltage to the car.
The device comes with a hard shell case for storage and the jump cables. The cables are possibly a bit short, but ultimately the device is light enough that it can sit in the engine cavity whilst you are using it.
There are possibly two concerns, the instructions are possibly in contradiction to the car instructions. Do you connect the device to the positive of the car battery, and also the negative of the car battery, or do you use the car’s grounding point? I would presume that the car’s instructions take precedence here, but it would have been nice if there was a note in the instructions to say.
For one of our cars the grounding point isn’t that close to the positive of the battery, and these cables aren’t the longest, but it should be possible to get them to fit.
Looks good quality buy yet to test performance but hopefully as good as it looks
This jump starter is super compact. I really expected it to be a lot bigger than it is. Comes in a nice storage case that holds everything so it can be kept in the car. The jump leads are nice and slim, in fact i think the whole kit is probably smaller than the massive jump leads I currently have. Tested on my dads car who for some reason refuses to sort out his battery and has to have his mate come round every other week to start it for him. Was able to get the car started, I’m now worried this will be even more of an excuse for him to not get it sorted. It also has a torch on it and can be used to recharge your phone in an emergency. Such a brilliant device to have in the car.

The ‘Gist’ of what this clever device does and can do is this.
It is a Powerful 1000 Amp Battery Power Pack, the principle is very simple and on a par with the Mobile Phone Power Packs that are charged at home.
Once charged the phone power pack is thrown in your work bag or car to be used if your phone dies in the future.
WELL…
This is the exact same principle.
For all intent and purposes this is a huge Rechargeable Power Pack Battery.
You will need to Fully Recharge this Car Battery Power Packit in your home or garage every 3 months.
As with ALL Rechargeable Batteries this one will Naturally and Gradually Lose its Charge and its Effiency over 3 months.
Once Charged or Recharged the Power Pack Battery Device can be Once Again put into the Boot of your Car and forgotten about.
In the event of you or a friend/relative having a flat battery all you have to do is:
Connect the Black and Red Jump Leads to the Output Sockets Located on the Top Right Hand Side of the Actual Batt Power Pack Charger.
Then Connect the Red and Black Cable Clamps to the Positive + (Red) and Negative – (Black) Terminals on the Dead Car Battery.
Long Press the Jump Starter Switch this is Located Next to the Power Button on the Front of the Batt Power Pack Charger – It Has a Red Universal Engine Icon Printed on the Switch.
The Batt Power Pack Charger will Cycle through some very quick tests to Check that it has enough Power to Jump Start the Car. If the Power is below 15% the Batt Power Pack Charger may FAIL to Jump Start the Car.
So make sure that you recharge the device every 3 months.
If Batt Power Pack Charger is adequately charged over the minimum 15% it will Display the Word ‘READY’.
Get in the drivers seat and activate the Cars ignition Switch to start your car.
Disconnect the Device, throw it back in the boot and drive home.
The CXY T18 is more than car jump starter, but also working as power bank and LED flashlight, It is built 1 quick USB output port (18W) and regular USB output port which power your smart phone, iPad or other USB devices. plus one LED light with 3 modes (SOS, SPOTLIGHT, STROBE) to convenience your daily needs especially when camping outside.
Ironically this device also has two USB ports to enable you to charge your Mobile Phone if it dies.
There are a lot of technical details included in the Product Listing that are definately worth reading.
This Device Model No: CXY T18 Car Battery Jump Starter can start 12 volt batteries of vehicles up to 6 Litre for Petrol or 3.0 Litre for Diesel vehicles.
Apparently it can Jump Start 30 Times on a Single Charge.
Its a great device according to the documentation and it is current;ly ‘Fully Charged’ in the Boot of my Car.
A Good Price 89.99 for a Great Gadget.
Please read the full listing for this item, you will find it interesting.
I have used these jump starters many times before but this is the first properly heavy duty one I have come across.
It has a great hard case to keep it safe and the connectors are properly rugged.
This is now living in the van as in the winter it always kills its own battery and this will get it going again.
Just remember to have a really good earth connection!
This model claims to start a 6L petrol or 3L diesel car. However the best I got to try this on was a car of about 13 years age with a 1.4L engine which hadn’t been used for a while too long.
This device is charged up via USB, and once charged claims to have power to provide up to 30 starts. I only got to use one of these starts, but it proved effective enough.
Weighing in at around 1kg, and about the size of a water bottle, it’s not too much hassle to leave in the boot, or just having in the garage just in case.
At time of review it’s list price is 90 with 20 off, so 70. Although it doesn’t seem cheap, if your car might have occasional starting issues, then this could work really well for you. I do also like the way this can also act as an emergency powerbank too.
It just awesome jumper start. Easy as getting a jump except there is no need for another vehicle. Starts a car with a dead battery very easy. It will also work great for charging your phone and other accessories. Plugged the charger into the USB-C input port and it took roughly 6-8 hours to get to 100%. Just plug in the jumper cables to to power unit input, attach the cables to your car battery appropriately, press the power button on the unit then start up your car. Be sure to immediately unplug the jumper cables after your car starts up. The jumper cables also includes a LED screen which shows you remaining charging level. Very nice packed and comes with beautiful bag to hold all in small space.
This an very well made product, the design and materials are top notch. The crocodile clips for attaching to the battery are copper and are really heavy and substantial. The charger and the cables all fit neatly into the carry case which again is great quality. It actually takes up less room in my car than the jump leads I did have.
The charger is simplicity itself to use, press the charge button and it will tell you it’s ready, it will also tell if you have connected the cable the wrong way.
You can also use this as a conventional powerbank to charge your phone etc if you need, there is also a torch which is adequate but not great but it’s enough to see what you are doing.
All in this is an essential thing to have in your boot for emergencies.
Price at time of review 35.99
a good air pump and charging brick, not to big and fits in my cars relitively small glove box.
provides plenty of power and managed to reinflate a tyre i let down to 2.1 bar in about 3-5 mins. the buttons on the system are in a + config and though labled well changing between psi and bar wasent easy neather was setting it off. other than that the light is good, the screen is clear and it seams to charge well of the cars 12v via a usb
Very happy with this. Not only is it a car jump starter but also an emergency phone etc charger and torch. And it comes in its own storage pouch that feels premium and so well thought out. It’s compact and easy to sit it in the car near the battery for use. I was worried the cables wouldn’t be long enough as they’re pretty short, but actually you don’t need them to stretch far really. Works fine, just read the instructions and keep trying if doesn’t work first time on a fully discharged battery. Great for the car, a bit of a security blanket and means you can get going again without the need to wait on someone. Good price.
This quick start is seriously impressive. I remember when quick starts were huge, hard to carry and bright yellow, what a difference. This can be held in one hand; it is light to carry and easy to use. It arrived with a decent charge in it, but I popped it on to fully charge before testing. I chose it to keep in my car in case I need it as the car is almost 19 years old and winter is approaching, I don’t know how old the battery is in it. Before putting it in the car I tested it on our van as it has been off road for a while, any one with a Maxus van will know they drain power while doing nothing, so it was an ideal candidate to test it on. It is so easy to set up, you get the leads included and they are good quality. It had no problem at all starting the 2500cc diesel engine in the van, so I know that the 2200cc engine in the car won’t be a problem. As well as being a quick start for the vehicles it also has a decent torch which also has flashing, and USB modes and it has to USB out ports for charging phones or running USB devices one of which is a USB3 quick charge port. It is capable of giving up to 30 starts per charge, I’d recharge it before it ran down to be on the safe side, but it is good to know that if my car needed a jump start to go to town that I would be able to get back and also park up a few times and restart throughout the day. The screen is a really good feature as it tells you how much charge is left so you won’t get caught out, it even tells you when it is ready for you to start the engine once connected. A fantastic bit of kit to have in the car, especially now winter is arriving.
This battery jump starter looks huge in the pictures but is very compact in comparison making it Much easier to store. Whilst the clamps are thick and heavy duty, their cables are a lot sleeker so this I suspect has something to do with the compact storage. The battery pack had no issues jump starting my 1.4L Petrol engine but I suspect a bigger Diesel engine may find this product isn’t the best (But then again if you had a 4L Diesel you’d be able to invest in some breakdown cover or decent cables to carry around). The battery is chunky and compact at the same time. It’s got a nice protective hard shell really providing that extra resistance to drops and the buttons are encased preventing dust getting in. The LED screen is clear, bright and the number is very large and easy to read. It displays the battery well and shuts off after inactivity. The torch built into this is also fairly powerful so this doubles as a car flashlight even when it’s not in use for the intended. On top of that, it can even serve as a power bank for devices which makes it far better value for money. Let’s be honest, no one expects to break down and in time of driving I thankfully never have, but have needed a torch on several occasions so this will come in handy just there alone. It comes in a nice storage case which doesn’t add too much to the size and actually feel like it takes less space than my jumper leads. If this is kept charged and stored, this tool could provide some MUCH needed assistance in the event of an emergency and it boasts far more uses than just a jump starter. Also, the final advantage is you don’t need to be waiting around for anyone if you end up needing a jump start as you can do it yourself.
