Really nice system, have mine connected to powered speakers via the headphone socket. CD player fine but wouldn’t play one particular cd? Dab radio very good but there is no dab info button on the remote, strange!
Speakers are built in and I was sceptical as to sound quality but this is certainly well above acceptable. Very pleased with the sound quality and volume.
Haven’t used DAB radio but have had a try out of the Bluetooth and all the other features and it really does surpass my expectations, certainly for the money paid.
And then there is the appearance. Stylish, classy, modern, minimalist. Will not look out of place in any home, regardless of style and decor.
Overall I would recommend this item based on having had it for a week now and how it works for me. Very pleased with it.

Really love this cd player – perfect sound for a small device – looks good and is easy to set up – it’s perfect for what I wanted and now can play my CDs at home and it doesn’t take up much room

A real amazing piece of kit, sound packs quite a whallop for size, I needed a DAB Radio/Cd Player with Bluetooth and a friend requested I get this, I don’t regret it, however due to the speaker being on top (i.e sound going upwards not forwards) I would recommend you placing it on a lower table as the sound spreads across room far better…..

Set up was relatively straightforward . Could not get Smooth chill(dab radio) at first but all good. I put mine in my bedroom.
Had this for my birthday and am happy with it.
I just wanted to play my cds as couldn’t part with my favourite music and it does the job, I dropped a star as would have liked a bass dial but it’s good value for the money and good quality for what we paid. Would recommend.
This CD & DAB/FM radio is a very good & value for money system. Easy to set up & understand the functions & the time & date set automatically. The sound is good and strong on the radio and CD’s. The treble & bass seem to be preset and its about right, I always never really knew exactly what the right setting was on previous systems when had to set treble & bass manually so this was a mini bonus, definitely recommended for the price and it is fairly lightweight too & doesnt take up much space, ideal for the bedroom but would look good anywhere in the house.

This is a nice compact sound system. The speaker on top is a first for me and I wondered if it would be effective? I’ve given my Jazz collection a good test run and the speakers are a treat across the full range . A good base line & clear & clean above . It’s sturdy, yet discreet in its wooden box shape look . I have it on a small hip high table and the sound fills the space . Too high in the room and you may wish to choose face forward speaker’s. I’m liking this !
This item is excellent value for money. It does so much more than more expensive similar items. I will certainly recommend it to my friends and family!

It is compact in size, looks good, it has a clear users booklet(didn’t have to go to computer and find out how to use) sound quality excellent and I found it easy to use in all settings, so pleased the blue tooth worked in the room below the computer as well.

It’s funny how technology comes in and out of fashion. The one function on this compact, neat, easy to use cube, that I thought I would not use, I have! I had completely got out of the habit of playing CDs as like everyone else I just stream what I need, but having this facility at hand has given some of my CDs a new lease of life.
As for the rest of this little unit, it’s fab. Easy to set up, a 99 preset for radio channels. Streaming from my devices via Bluetooth, DAB and FM, it’s everything I need in a very small footprint. For the price, the sound quality is pretty good, certainly good enough for my small sitting room. It has a handy remote, and the whole thing was packed in easy to recycle packaging.
I wanted something that did many things and this ticks all the requirements: DAB+, FM, CD Player, USB input, Aux and Bluetooth, headphone jack. I didn’t expect it too look as cool as it does: black wood, modern, compact, great two line LCD display with quality remote.
It is also a clock radio with alarms. I may move this to the bedroom. !

– Sound can be a bit flat -but its only a mono speaker – but there is an eq which is customisable.
I think it looks great, discrete, compact music system that does it all and fits well into my home office,
The remote means I can place it high out of the way allowing me to channel hop many radio stations from the remote on my desk
Overall – yes I could probably get a better sound for music but to get these looks and functionality in a small discrete package is great.

Very pleased with my purchase. Looks and feels very sturdy and what I’ve programmed in so far sounds good. Not great with programming in devices so will take a bit of time to understand instructions. But good value and very pleased. Fast delivery.
Well designed and easy to use system. Even my wife can play her favourit CD’s. Whilst not HiFi the sound quality is good for the price.

I bought the DAB 400 for my parents. It is easy to set up. I added the preset stations for them and they are happy using the remote control and the controls on the radio itself. The radio looks much more expensive than it cost and blends in nicely in their kitchen. The sound is great for a relatively small radio. Very happy with it and would recommend it highly for anyone looking for a straightforward product with a nice finish that isn’t plastic!

Bought this for a large hall, the sound quality is excellent even in such a big space. Very easy to set up, so pleased with it I’ve bought another one for a different community centre.
I have this in my kitchen as I love listening to the radio or playing CD’s while being busy. It has very good sound quality for its compact size. Perhaps this is my lack of knowledge but it took me a couple of hours to tune into my preferred radio station. I wanted to tune into DAB radio 2. Eventually I had to find my local DAB frequency before I managed to get the station I wanted but knowing that it would have been easy.
Nice system pleased with it . All good haven’t played with Bluetooth as yet but DAB very good and CD player good–the volume doesn’t Boom out but its loud enough.
We have a variety of Bluetooth speakers kicking around our house and they’re very handy, but each one tends to have its own quirks and let you down one way or another – losing connection in the middle of a song, rechargeable batteries losing the amount of time they hold charge, not wanting to connect to your phone when you’re in a hurry etc. Sometimes it’s nice to have something less portable and more reliable, which makes this Oakcastle digital radio such a welcome addition.
Currently selling at around 100, it costs more than a cheap Bluetooth speaker but not as much as a high-end one, and offers pretty good value in terms of sound quality and reliability. Having DAB and FM radio in a standalone unit is really handy for when doing jobs around the house etc, and the CD player might come in handy for anyone with an extensive collection that they don’t want to get rid of. Really though it’s the DAB that sells this, tuning easily to a wide range of channels and ensuring that this Oakcastle will age well and hopefully last a lot longer than any of our Bluetooth speakers did!
Needed a compact unit to replace a player that fitted a box space. Unfortunately, the cat usurped it before I got the new unit.
Although it has an equaliser, it only has one speaker (it appears). So, if you are after high-fidelity, this isn’t for you.
That said, the sound is good, and more than loud enough for our sitting room (14x15m).
The CD is a (rather flimsy) tray – a push-in would be better.

This was a present for my wife, she likes to play her CD’s when doing the ironing.
She really likes it, good sound quality, though she doesn’t play it at maximum level. Compact so easy to place, not heavy, a good DAB radio picks up stations without extending the antenna.
Not used the USB function nor likely, but would expect that it would have good sound output, quality is dependent on the music source.
Overall if I needed another music player, I’d buy this again.

Very good CD stereo. I was looking for a new system that could play my old CDs, and belive it or not, there’s not too many options to choose from.
This one is perfect – it’s got a combination of all the functions I need – CD player, DAB (and FM if you need it) + Bluetooth. This means I can listen to DAB radio, broadcast from my iPhone to stream Apple Music and I can also play my vast collection of CDs.
The sound is very good given the size of the unit, I can’t complain at all. The remote control just works and I guess the whole package does what it says on the box.
Really good quality product at a reasonable price. Can’t fault it. Excellent buy.
The reason for loss of one star is that when you play a CD, the sound distorts slightly if turned up too loud (which I don’t), but it’s worth considering if you like to play your music with the volume up high. This happened even though I adjusted the bass and treble.
Overall, very happy with my purchase and its great to listen to my CDs again, as it’s been a while since I’ve had a CD player and been able to listen to the tracks of my favourite artists, without interruption from ads or when the WiFi plays up!

Excellent digital radio. Nice modern design and very easy to set up, everything is automatic. Good sound output. Only slight negative is the size, its bigger than I expected so would recommend checking the dimensions before purchasing but other than that it’s excellent quality and would recommend.
This is perfect. It’s very sleekly designed and has a really nice quality finish all over. I was a little apprehensive this wouldn’t live up to the price point but I am very impressed. Incredibly easy to set up, it automatically knows the time and date when you plug it in. The remote control is very responsive.
The DAB radio is excellent and I have now set different stations to different numbers on the remote so I can change stations seamlessly. The Bluetooth function is also very good, connects to my phone really well and the sound quality is great. It has a lot of different options and an alarm function too. I haven’t used the cd player as I typically use just the radio or Bluetooth but it’s great to have the functionality should you need it. Well worth the price, very happy with this.
Instruction manual has some graphics in which are quite explanatory, but the instructions are quite a long winded, but this player does it all
Really easy to set up the power cable is in the longest and it’s nice having a remote control so you can be away from the station to play whatever you need which is really good. I found setting up quite easy once I’ve read the instructions didn’t take that long to understand how everything worked. Absolutely very happy.

This is a lovely thing and I absolutely LOVE the remote which give life a whole new dimension. The remote works perfectly and easily . The dates and times are perfect.
This is a wonderful sound device and the CDs sound better than I have ever heard them.

This wouldn’t look out of place in an expensive car showroom and for the cast it looks like it’s three times the price.
Upon plugging it in, I was astounded to see that the radio set itself in time and dates and was accurate to the second.
Trying, the DAB sounded crystal clear, and none of the annoying echo I found with another radio from a different company.
CD loads fast and sound crystal clear not to mention the fact that I scanned and I did all 171 DAB stations perfectly.
Although we are in a higher strength signal area. Aerial is easy to move around and his bio directional and receives all the channels no matter where it is placed.
I don’t know what else to say in terms of positive stuff because I have covered it all and this radio is exceptional.
Another thing to bear in mind though, and it could be a downside if I’m being really picky is the fact that the Bluetooth connection when connected to a device sounds a bit muffled compared to the CD and the radio and you have to really turn it up to hear it, but when you do, it’s crystal clear that could be because of the Bluetooth device that the radio is trying to connect to, so it might not be something with the radio .
It’s very compact and small Which is good. One thing I found though it might be because of my small room and the Wi-Fi issues in my house, but I found that I had to move it around a bit because it was blocking the signal on my PlayStation for when it was put in a certain position, but again that could just be how my house is set up and not a fault of the radio, so it would be really nitpicky to not recommend it and once I moved it to a different position my Wi-Fi was solid in signal it possibly bit could be because I have a Wi-Fi box in my room so again that wouldn’t be a problem for everybody all in all, though, I would definitely say for the money, the look and sound just buy it, you won’t be unsatisfied. I would like to also mention as a last point is that I love the fact that it has a remote control so the remote control will be working wherever you are in the room and you can turn it on and control it from that, rather than having to press the buttons on the radio, so it’s easy to turn off and on, especially when you want to go to sleep.
