I have just bought the Expression Home XP-3200. However I cannot find the terms of the standard warranty, which seems to be a 1-year warranty. There is also a 3-year warranty, which seems to be subject to buying ink from Epson, which I don’t want to do. I cannot find anywhere the standard warranty terms!

I have always been happy with product support from Epson, which combined with the longevity of their machines, is why I buy their printers. But this warranty thing is a bit irritating.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI was wary at first by its low price. After the ease of set up and quality of prints I was surprised by the price. It was easy to connect to my network, and once connected all functions were ready and easy to use. I was impressed by the mobile app which made it possible to print from anything on my network no matter where it was located.
    Budget price with expensive features.

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersInitial impressions as per other reviews were that the build quality was not so good, the paper feed is a bit cheap and plasticky but works ok. The panel appears cheap but is usable and works fine.

Setup easily enough using a usb cable and laptop, app wouldn’t work initially. After setup on the PC printing and scanning was easy to achieve via the desktop application. I was also able to use the app to print and scan, it seems the initial setup via the pc connected the printer to the WiFi network to allow WiFi printing via the app. The mobile app works fine though doesn’t look very clean and professional.

Print quality is decent and acceptable though photo quality is not amazing. Scan quality is much better and very easy to use.

    – Note Alexa integration doesn’t seem to be available for the UK, but not a big issue. –

Overall a decent basic printer/scanner for home/office use.

Golden Review Award: 83 From Our UsersNeeded to replace my ancient HP inkjet printer as, even though it still printed fine, ink was leaking from underneath somewhere. I’ve always liked HP products but, after a lot of research, settled on this one from Epson. There is so much choice from all manufacturers, it can be overwhelming. I just needed one for basic printing, copying and scanning. The fact that it also does duplex printing is a bonus, especially at this price. Went into a well-known electrical store to look at the printers but it was 20 cheaper on Amazon with free delivery. I ordered it on a Saturday afternoon and it arrived by DPD Sunday morning. Very impressive.
Setting the printer up was relatively straightforward. I use a USB cable connection as not interested in connection by Wi-Fi. There’s a lot of, to me, unnecessary bloatware that can be downloaded but I just downloaded the latest driver and was good to go. The LCD screen at the front is easy to navigate. Print, copying and scanning speeds are good. The printer comes with “starter” ink cartridges, which are still in use, but I’ve also bought a pack of full size cartridges for when necessary. Overall I’m very happy with the printe

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersSince my trusty XP322 decided to cease to work I needed a similar replacement and having always used Epson printers decided on the XP3200 as a close match.

The printer has virtually the same capabilities as my old XP322 but annoyingly they don’t seem to come with full ink cartridges these days. The supplied cartridges are just for Setup and Configuration as shown on the cartridge. I managed to get a few pages of print out of them. After that I used some third party inks which work just as well.

Installation wasn’t too hard. Since this has Wifi and can work with a smartphone and can also take part in Epson’s Readyprint ink subscription service, it initially wants to connect to the your network and internet. Since I didn’t want this I ignored that option and just continued to set it up using a USB cable.

Windows 10 immediately found the printer and installed a defaut print driver but this has limited capability so its better to download the setup utility fron Epson’s web site – once again I declined any attempt to connect to the internet and also disabled automatic updates.

The printer itself feels a little more plasticy than my old one and the paper movement mechanism is a lot noisier. One feature the SP3200 has that my old XP322 didn’t have is automatic double sided printing. To be honest it might seem like a nice convenient feature but its a lot slower than turning over the paper manually.

It prints, scans and copies just like my old printer and the driver options look just the same, so it was an easy switch over.

Good quality print and scan but genuine inks are expensive and you’ll need something to get going as those supplied are only for setup.

4.0 out of 5 stars The XP3200 is a good printer but it doesn't come with much ink

I bought this as a replacement for my old HP printer that stopped printing, this Epson printer is much smaller and lighter than the old one, it’s very easy to use, and the app is easy to navigate, it prints quite fast too, overall I am very impressed, and would recommend it as a home printe

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAs a 70 yr old trying to connect to a mobile phone for me was a waste of time, I eventually found you could connect directly to your pc and used the old cable I had from my previous HP printer. After downloading everything from Epson I eventually got it connected. Whatever happened to just straightforward “plug and play”?

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe printer is great and I really like it. Prints very well and is a nice looking home printer but unless you sign up to be supplied with ink for a monthly charge then the price of ink cartridges is huge! My printer use is not standard month on month and I would find it difficult to negotiate what my usage would be….so I use compatible ink which works out very much cheaper, though still not cheap.

I found it very easy to set up to my phone using the app. Haven’t tried connecting other devices as no clear instructions on how to do this. Printing quality is good. Value for money printer for occasional home printing.

I found the printer easy to set up. It did everything i needed it to do.
I love how easy it is to download an app on my tablet and smart phone. And it all works without a problem.
If i was to say one bad thing. It would be the price of the replacement ink. Epson wants to sell you a monthy plan for ink. But i dont use a printer that much to justify that. And you cant buy compatibles iv checked

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOverall it is okay. I have had Epsom printers like this one in the past, and my last one lasted me around 10 years – BUT – these new ones are a pain in the butt to set up as Epsom, in all of their wisdom, try too hard to tie you into buying their consumables, and you need an internet connection to do most of the setup – which is fine if you are savvy in the PC department but can be a nightmare if you are not.. I wasted a lot of time having to download drivers, unload them and re-download them again. Now that it is all working, I am happy with the print quality.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI bought this printer to replace my aging Canon MG5753 as it seemed to be a like-for-like replacement, with a slightly higher specification and much faster print speed.

My first impression straight out of the box wasn’t that great as a slim plastic cover that fits beside the paper feed tray fell off whilst I was removing the printer from the protective bag. I soon got it clipped back on but it wasn’t a great start. There are a few slightly flimsy-feeling parts to this printer – that cover, the output tray and the console buttons, which resemble the kind of keys you got on a Sinclair ZX81 computer in the early 1980s. The display console itself can be tilted upwards to give you a better view of the screen and buttons.

The process of setting up the printer is very easy though and you definitely don’t need an app or a laptop to do so. In the interests of research, I did it without and the most fiddly part was inputting my Wi-Fi password using the cursors on the control panel. The Wi-Fi reception is excellent and better than my previous printer. After fitting the supplied ink cartridges, you need to align the print heads and it’s all done automatically as part of the setup process, which took about 15 minutes to complete. This does use a little bit of ink so it’s just as well that you get some included. On the subject of ink cartridges, you can buy ‘compatible’ ones (as I have) complete with chips that the printer will recognise. Whilst they cost roughly the same as Original Equipment ones, they’re high capacity so should last a lot longer. Remaining on the subject of ink, the heated piezo print head used on this printer apparently results in a small amount being deposited in an ‘ink receptacle’ which you need to unscrew and empty from time to time – perhaps an automatic job for whenever you change the cartridges.

Print quality really is great with smaller type faces being crisp and clear. Colour reproduction is vivid and should meet most domestic needs. The print speed doesn’t appear to be quite as fast as the maker claims but A4 b/w letters take 4-5 seconds to complete. The print queue lag is quite lengthy by comparison to my last printer and takes some 45 seconds before the printer begins after clicking ‘print.’ You have to physically turn on the printer to start printing as it doesn’t have an ‘auto-awake’ function if it’s left plugged in to the mains but switched off at the printer. However, you can leave it on standby for as long as you want by adjusting the relevant setting. The rest of the functions (scan, copy etc.) are easy to navigate, and the dual sided print function is accessed via the print manager function on your laptop or mobile app, or on the printer console if you’re using it to photocopy. The mobile app is pretty good and is easy to download and use. Besides using it to control print jobs, you can also do other things like check the ink level.

On the whole, this is a very good printer for the price. It’s been a while since I bought one for domestic use but this one does everything I need it to do and the print quality and speed is a definite step up from my old one.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was hoping it was as simple as others had said about setting up. I needed to buy the usb cable to connect to my pc to connect and update the printer before it would connect wireless to my network. The password needed was hidden inside at the back of the printer and I missed it the first time I looked. Other than that it works and is quick to print.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersThe printer arrived quickly and was well packaged. A faff to set up as you have to use the app instead of just turning on and joining a Wi-Fi I imagine if you are a Techie there are workarounds. Once you have used the app and firmware update you are committed to using only the maker’s ink which costs more than the printer. The printer itself is good with good clear prints and double-sided printing for text. I am happy with the printer but disappointed that i can’t use non-branded ink cartridges.

Read the reviews before making my purchase, I needed a WiFi printer for general occasional use.
    Printer arrived, well packaged.
Was super easy to set up, I scanned the QR code on the enclosed paperwork which took me to download of the Epsom app.
The app and even the printer walk you through the set up.
I was printing in minutes !
    Highly recommended so far !

Great little printer, fast and able to double sided. Easy to set up on home wi-fi through your lap top.
The cartriges are realy hard to find. I tried all the major stores and eventualy found some on amazon but they have a long delivery date. The printer takes 604 but on amazon they are recomending 603 which don’t fit the printer.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI got this printer for my husband work. It was very easy to install and everything was clear. I found even how to set up video online. The only thing to understand is ink refill. There are many compatible inks available on Amazon and I never understand which one is the right one. The colour inks are divided individually so you just change the one that is consumed. In the end I found it cost efficient than the whole in one type.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersUnfortunately, it does not come with a cord, it works only and exclusively via WiFi. Mobile internet is often slow, and in some cases the connection is broken. Printing and scanning are of quite good quality, not too noisy. The application is relatively simple.
