Like most optical cables, the ends can be a bear to actually insert into the plug holes in your equipment. Do remember to remove the little protective nubs from the end of the insert piece. Otherwise you’ll waste a lot of time and patience trying to insert the end into the plug hole before realizing what’s happening.

Does its job! The build quality is great and feels sturdy. The sound quality sounds great with no distortion at all.

You can tell right away that this cable has good thickness to it, and is still flexible with a nice braided cover. Sound quality is a big improvement over RCA cables. If you don’t really need a long cable for your application, it’s hard to go wrong for the price.

I used this cable to hook up a soundbar to my TV. I’m very impressed with the quality of the sound coming through my audio equipment with this cable. My subwoofer produces excellent bass response through this cable also. I highly recommend it.

I still remember that toslink cables that came with stuff, they were cheap plastic ones you handled gingerly. This one is not like that.
1 meter is about the perfect length, not too long but long enough to go between components. the ends are not too hard to insert but they fit snuggly.
    Glad I got these.

Just snap off the plastic covers on the end of each connector and you’ll be good to go! Amazing audio quality.

Toslink is a nice way to send digital audio from a source component to a TV, A/V receiver, or amplifier having its own internal DAC. While I have no way to know if there’s more errors I can say it works well and sounds great which is what matters. So, I can recommend this cable for the fine performance to cost value it provides. The quality is plain nice to look at with it’s solid connectors and beefy shielding.

I had to laugh when I saw the gold tips on this cable: while gold connectors might make sense on cables that carry electrical signals (analog or digital), they’re irrelevant for optical cables, the tips are just the mechanical connection into the socket which aligns the optical fiber-ends. So there’s no difference between this tip and the black tip of other cables like this (such as the Amazon Basics one).

That said, this cable does fit into the proper sockets just fine, and works as well as the other such cables I’ve tried. I used it to connect my SBX4 sound card with an Fiio BTA30Pro DAC, and listened to it with earbuds as well as external speakers, didn’t experience any problems. I didn’t expect, and didn’t perceive, any audio superiority to the Amz Basics optical cable I had been using, so there’s no reason there to prefer one over the other. Physically though this one is just a bit more stiff, so I tend to prefer the more pliable Amz cable. If that’s not a concern, I would recommend buying whichever is available and cheaper.

The title says it all. Thus is a optic sound cable and it gets the job done no muss no fuss.

No problems with this TOSLINK cable. The jacket is a bit stiff so it might be tricky to route in tight spaces, but that stiffness should provide good protection for accidental kinks and possible cracks in the optical conductor.

We purchased a sound bar that had wireless capability however we realized that our television was a little bit older than we thought and did not have wireless capability to connect to the sound bar. So we decided to order the digital optical audio cable to connect the sound bar to the Samsung television and we have. The digital optical audio cable connected perfectly with the television and the sound bar and now we have sound for our television.

No need to tie up an HDMI port when you can buy one of these. I really don’t think HDMI will sound better anyway. It’s my understanding HDMI simply has this spdif/optical built into it. Yeah, it’s easier to have just one cable instead of two. But I just think it’s good to go with the original and separate technology, which is the spdif cable, and leave the hdmi to video. The cable is strong, sturdy, and works as intended. It looks like it is a quality-made cable.

My old cable was making cracking noise. This cable is twice as thick, and improved the sound quality. Highly recommend it.

This is a sturdy optical cable, though only 3 feet in length. I wish manufacturers would stop making cables less than 6 feet, I mean by the time you get the cord from the port to under the tv you’ve wasted 3 feet, so this cable could not reach my soundbar, so I had to get an extender. Sound quality was not up to par with hdmi so this didn’t work for me, but I don’t think that specific to the brand. Alas I’m stuck with having no available hdmi ports after connecting my soundbar to tv.

I picked up a Fibbr optical audio cable in the 3.3 ft length to better match the distance between my HTPC and receiver. The optical cable is built very sturdy, with a nice braided covering on the wire, a hefty metal boot at the connector, a green elastic color-code band around the boot, and what appears to be a gold-painted molded plastic interface/connector around the optical fiber. When it first arrived, the fiber was protected with clear rubber caps that was easy to remove with a fingernail. The extreme symmetry of the round boot was a bit odd when trying to plug in the connector and maintaining the correct orientation, since the connection is actually keyed to one orientation. The cable has been performing just fine for the past week.

I was only able to get this in the 1m (3.3 feet) length. That isn’t long enough to go from a TV to a receiver in the same entertainment center. I had to get an optical audio extension to make it work. Get the 2m one and it should do the trick.

It’s a sturdy optical cable, much better made than the thin one that come with some lower-budget soundbars. The sound quality is good, which is what you want with these cables. The sound is clearer, louder, and all around better than the tv speakers themselves.

All around a good value for the price, especially for good clear audio.

I wanted to get this cable because the one I currently have was either damaged or wasn’t transporting the audio properly. While I was using my old cable with my Astro A50s, the audio would cut in and out. I’ve been testing it with this cable and so far, no audio issues. The sound is very clear, and the cable is long enough to reach from my base station to back of my PC. Cable is working as designed, thank you for a great product.

Lets face it, this is a digital optical cable and they are all going to function exactly the same way transferring a digital audio signal. This one functions 100% as expected, but it does stand out in that it is ascetically very nice looking. The cable part almost looks like part of a bracelet or something. I am not sure in what context one would need such a good looking digital optical cable (maybe a DJ set up where all the cables are exposed?) but if that is what you want, this is a good choice.

The soundbar on my TV stopped working. I didn’t have it connected via an optical table (my old TV was, well, old, and didn’t have that as an option and I threw it away so when I got a new TV, I realized that I had thrown the optical cord away and used an old fashioned hook up instead). This cord seems to be of good quality with the cord itself being wrapped to present breakage. There are small covers on the tips as well to protect them from bending.

The sound from this cord is really good and allows me to use my soundbar again.

    Good cord

Very well made, gives the impression of a quality product. Everything from the connectors to the braided cable are top notch.
I connected it from my TV to a pair of Audio Pro bookshelf speakers. Pure sound with no distortion all the way up to 10. Great purchase.

I like the nylon braid on this cable. It stiffens it up just a little bit more than bare digital SPDIF optical cables do. It doesn’t easily kink even at sharper angles. (mine was almost too short, but just fit perfectly…) Its ends are gold plated and look good while installing; although the gold does not have anything to do with the transmission of the cable at all. This worked great as a digital cable to run from my recording studio’s monitoring system and my digital mastering machine.

Cable worked well and fit snuggly as it should. One can’t ask for anything more out of a fiber optic cable for audio applications. I usually use glass cables, and from what I can tell these are not glass, but like the gold plating that doesn’t really have anything to do with its performance, it is merely a personal preference/quirk. Definitely would use in the future…

Got tired of the thin-wire optical cables with connectors that don’t really snap securely into ports. This braided cable is an upgrade in both areas. The end plugs snap firmly into the ports on my TV and soundbar, no more “wiggling” room or need to position the cable some specific way so it makes a full connection. Sound quality is good for my devices, can’t say how the cable might perform on truly high-end equipment.

The quality of this cable is good. It isn’t over the top but not cheaply made either. It works very well and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again when I need another optical cable.
