I liked it because it dried fast, but not quite as fast as I was thinking.
Like most hairdryers the heat settings need to be adjusted has hot is too hot and medium is too cool.
This hairdryer is the best I have used, not too heavy but very powerful. Good value for money! I have been using this hairdryer for 2 years and brought my daughter one for Christmas 2023/4 as I liked it so much.
My gym has this model of GHDs and I have been obsessed with them so I finally decided to get myself one. It dries the hair brilliantly, very quickly, and frizz-free also leaves it with lots of beautiful shine. Definitely worth the price!
Wow. As a curly girl I have high standards when it comes to getting a hairdryer to tame my curly hair. The GHD dryer is in my opinion salon professional. It produces sleek hair in a short amount of time. But beware the nozzle does get very hot!!
I also have a Dyson and I’d say the GHD is great value for money and the end result is salon perfect hair.
Bought for my daughter to use as she is a hairdresser. No issues to start with but the diffuser started to drop off and wouldn’t stay on. Had to contact the company and they agreed to replace it. The new one works fine, but on occasion there is a squeal which sounds like some dust has got into the fan motor but still works well. As intermittent and is needed as a work tool so not able to send back.
Very surprised with the purchase of the new hair dryer when I always used a small, old, cheap one
and I have decided to buy one of a good brand and professional, a super smooth finish without having to pass the straightener. So happy
I’ve got thick, elbow length, straight/wavy type hair with a few wiry greys (lucky me) and I can get my hair dry in under <10 minutes. Used to take 30+ mins, so using less electricity and not frying my hair so much.
I wouldn't call it lightweight so as I was asked to comment on that it lost points but otherwise it's great and I love it, would buy again and recommend to a friend.
The packaging is gorgeous, obviously, and the hairdryer itself is beautiful to look at. Bit weird to say that about a hairdryer but there it is.
It dries my hair in, truly, half the time my last one did (a middling Babyliss one), and it leaves my hair shinier and flippier… after using this my hair is flicky, which is super.
The reason I wanted to leave this review, though, is there was *one* slight issue with the attachment that comes with it. Its opening is a wide slit (presumably so you can create a narrow, forceful stream of air) and when I used it, it got so hot I couldn’t touch it. It got so hot I was worried it was going to melt, so that came off straight away. It’s just something to bear in mind if you need it for styling.
Assuming you’re good to go with the hairdryer as is, though, with no attachments needed, it’s absolutely brilliant. The cord is long, too, so if you’re going to be drying your hair a way away from the plug socket, it won’t hamper you any… I think it’s about 6ft, which is great.
It’s upwards of 80 which is an awful lot of money for a hairdryer, absolutely, but it’s more gentle on the hair, dries it fully twice as fast, feels like it will last forever, and is actually a pleasure to use so I think it’s worth every penny.
