Bought this hoping that the sound wouldn’t be “tinny” and it’s not – it’s perfect. Easy to use and looks great – really cannot praise this radio enough. Very highly recommend to anyone looking to buy a new DAB radio. Love it!!!!!!!

When this radio arrived I was very surprised at how light the box was and how small the radio is because it looked larger in the photos. I’m glad, because I bought it primarily for using in my bedroom so it easily fits on the bedside table but if I want to move it around the house, the handle and lightness makes that easy too. The sound for a small radio is amazing, rich and without distortion and personally, I love the retro look of it.

For the money (a tad under 43) this compact portable DAB radio is reasonable value. The sound is adequate without being impressive. It tuned itself to the digital channels quickly and found all the same ones that my far more expensive Hi-Fi tuner finds… apart from two. The display is easy to read and the clock is accurate. The manufacturer is obviously going for a retro design appearance, but to me the overall look and feel is a bit to plasticky to of pulled that off convincingly. One for the more occassional radio listener me thinks.

Great little radio or just bluetooth speaker, not bulky so you can take it anywhere in the house, simple to set up and channels are preset.

    Great quality.

For anyone who, like me, lives in a remote country area prone to power cuts, a battery radio is an essential piece of kit and this is a good one.

It’s surprisingly small with a pleasingly retro kind of look. The initial setting up is very easy and intuitive even for someone as non-techy as I am, and with the antenna fully extended the radio reception is clearly and non-crackly, even right up here in the Southern Uplands. With its 7 hour battery life, it’ll be a useful addition to my armoury of ‘black out equipment’.

The casing is only plastic, but it still feels pretty robust.

It comes with a USB cable for recharging, or for plugging into the mains (although you’ll need a USB/three pin plug adapter to do it).

    A good little thing. Recommended.

The radio is very small: 15*9cm with the handle down, and 15*12cm with the handle up. You wouldn’t expect it to cost that much. At the time of writing the review, it’s discounted at 39.51, still a high price.

Easy to use, it charges via USB and can be taken anywhere. It also has an antenna.

It turns on via “power”, the orange button, you have to press the button again to start using it, via “mode” you choose what you want: Bluetooth, SD, USB, DAB, FM. It has the ability to go back and forth with the tune. Holding down on Tune + or – stops when it finds a station with decent reception.
You can also set an alarm. I have tried without reading instructions (I hate to read the instructions) but I do not seem to have succeeded in any way. Here, if you don’t have the instructions, setting the alarm is not something straightforward.

Reception is good for some stations, but not great for others.

Overall, I’m quite happy. It keeps me company wherever I go around the house. However, as already mentioned, I find the price a bit high.

I have this Greadio DAB/DAB+Digital FM Radio with Bluetooth in white.
It arrived nicely boxed, would be a great gift idea.

It looks and feels well made from a good quality thick white plastic, sturdy and durable.

I Iike its retro with modern touch design.
It has handle which is comfortable to grip and hold.
It has also easy to read LED display.
It displays, time, date, battery level, alarms if set up, radio station etc.
    Radio is small, but multifunctional.
The measurements are exactly as per listing description, radio is portable and quite light.
It could be mains or rechargable built-in battery powered.
It charges fast and 2000mah battery lasts for long.

I usually listen to the radio, as I have separate Bluetooth speaker.
Radio has many buttons, but is easy to use, it found many nice stations to listen to.
    Antenna is easily extendable.
Sound is pretty loud and clear considering size of the speaker, better than I’ve expected.

Radio also has dual alarms,TF/USB slots, earphones jack etc.

Excellent device which combines many functions in one place, much more than radio. Works as it should during last two weeks, reasonably priced, especially now with 25% off voucher taking the price down to 33, so I would happily recommend it.

For such a small compact device the sound and volume is great, its also full of options as you can connect via Bluetooth, usb, or sd card, its rechargeable so doesn’t require constant connection to mains although you can via usb c cable(included) you’ll need usb plug for that, but if using outdoors for long periods you can attach and use with powerbank, it has brown leather strap for carrying, easy to read lcd screen which goes off to save power but will light up when changing station or volume, its super light you could attach earphones and carry about with you, i could see this being a great picnic or work radio, stylish and looks cool, easy to use once reading over the clear to read instructions.

Packs a punch for such a small device

This is a neat, compact, rechargeable portable DAB digital radio. In the box you get the radio itself, a USB-C to USB-A charging cable (no mains plug), and a manual. The radio is lightweight and easy to carry. This has a matte-finish white plastic body, a faux leather carry handle, and a mirror finish panel on the top of the device with the button controls, volume dial, and a clear, easy to read LED display panel with blue characters. The mirror panel shows fingerprint marks a lot.

The controls aren’t as intuitive as I had expected for a radio, and I did find I needed to consult the manual a few times in order to set this up – for example you need to long press the power button to turn this on, but then short press to access mode switching, rather than just press the mode button. Although this is sold as a radio, the first suggested modes are for Bluetooth and USB playback – which didn’t seem the most intuitive. Tuning worked easily, with loads of stations picked up, which appear in alphabetical order. Sound quality is excellent. The manual is concise, but clear and easy to follow.

Once set up, this is straightforward to use and remembers settings from one session to the next. I was glad of this as my Dad, who listens to the radio most in our household, should have no problems with using it.

Superb little DAB radio that packs a punch with good clear sound and a decent amount of Bass and Treble and has a built in extendable Ariel for great clear reception on all channels including FM and has connection for Bluetooth and USB and is fully rechargeable with the USB C cable supplied,
The Radio has a nice carry handle made of a leather like material and a nice clear LCD backlit display that gives information about each station and also the music and artist playing at any one time which is handy and overall is a very stylish but retro looking Radio with superb clear sound quality and isn’t exactly slim but a decent size both length and width and also has a standard earphone jack for private listening,
    Great DAB Radio highly recommended.

Sounds as good as it looks.

In the box is your radio and usb charging cable and user guide.
Now don’t be fooled by the size of this very compact radio, it certainly produces a lovely sound, definitely not tinny, turn the volume up and it doesn’t distort.
It has a built in battery so once charged it can give a good 6 to 7 hours continuous play,
The radio can also be used whilst it’s plugged into the mains.
It has Bluetooth connectivity which works very well, I’ve streamed music via my iPhone, worked a treat.
It has a memory card slot for micro SD card, I put some MP3s on a card and they played fine.
It also has a USB socket on the back and a jack plug socket for headphones.
Great value for money and would make a lovely Xmas gif

The Greadio DAB/DAB+ Digital FM Radio is a great little radio that’s portable, recharged with the C-cable supplied, mains or battery powered, and gives the option of using Bluetooth. It has a clear LED display, automatically searches for 80 preset stations although I haven’t found them all yet, dual alarms and earphone Jack. The knobs pressed for working the radio are on the top with the orange power button on the right and a large volume knob. It comes with a User Manual, has a strong wide handle for carrying around with you and gives excellent sound quality for such a compact radio. It arrives securely packed in a box and enclosed in polystyrene that stops it moving around during transit. It’s a lovely radio that I’m enjoying listening to.

    Great little radio!

This radio is really quite small (16 x 12 x 8 cm approx) and weighs less than 500g. It boasts a plethora of features, all described on the listing page. For me the most useful are DAB radio, bluetooth and audio playback from usb / SD card. The user interface works as well as can be reasonably expected. Operation is intuitive – I worked out how to operate the unit without referring to the user manual. The downside of so many features in such a small package is related to physical size – the display screen is quite small. Sound quality from such a small radio is more than reasonable, rivalling more expensive DAB units I have by the bedside. DAB performance depends on the quality of signal in your location. As others have noted, it does not operate from the mains, but it is an easy and inexpensive task to source and connect a mains-USB C charger if you wish to keep the radio in one place. Bluetooth operation is easy to set up and means I can stream music from my IPhone direct to the radio, radio volume turned to max and controlling the volume from the phone. I would give it 4.9 stars out of 5, docking the points for the slightly cheap feel of the pushbutton array. Impressive.

Got this radio to use in the garage. I was attracted by the ability to use it as a bluetooth speaker as well as paly from USB, SD and radio.

It is small and light and first impressions were not that great. It is all plastic and really looks quite cheap for what it costs.

It does pack a lot of features in though, and another selling point for me was the rechargeable battery meaning I could power it from my solar panels, and move it around with me, outside or in depending on where I am working.
Reception is pretty good even inside a garage with lots of LED lights and tools. DAB is better than FM in my experience.
Bluetooth worked easily, pairing straight away with my Echo Dot.

Surprisingly the sound quality is pretty good for such a small radio, far better than an Echo dot produces.

Overall I am very pleased with this, but I do feel the price is a touch high for the quality. All the electronics are great but it does look cheap in my opinion.

    Good but very plasticy

This comes well presented in its own box so it would make a great gift for the right person.

So far ive been pretty impressed by this dab radio, its so easy to use!

This is rechargeable but can also be used on mains, ive had 7 hours out of it on a full charge which i think is very good, it comes with a type c charging cable.

The sound is loud and clear.
    Theres a 6 watt amplifier.
As this is also bluetooth i can play music on ot thats on my phone, it connecyed to my phone on first attempt.

This is exactly as the description describes, works perfectly with no issues.

    I can highly recommend.

This is a decent quality DAB radio with the added benefit of a built-in Bluetooth receiver meaning it’s really easy to connect your phone or tablet or even laptop wirelessly for audio. The unit itself has an inbuilt rechargeable battery and can be powered via a USB C connection. The easy to read menu screen and controls make the functions really simple and straightforward to use with the clarity and volume of the sound ideal for a small office or kitchen et cetera. It has a decent depth of frequency response and for the size delivers an impressive soundstage.

Greadio DAB/DAB+Digital FM Radio with Bluetooth,Portable Mains and Battery Powered

This little radio comes in a retail box, and when I say little, I mean little. It looks much bigger in the advertisement but even with this small size, I am very impressed with the sound quality from such a small device. It has a retro look to it, especially from the front where you cannot see the display, being just a speaker grill and bass port grill. Over the top is a what appears to be a leather strap.

On the top it looks more modern with a row of control buttons, a large rotary volume control and a small blue backlit LCD display set on a plastic mirrored base, which really does look nice! The volume control is very smooth and feels quality, however the row of control buttons look and feel a tiny bit cheap. After a short period, the OLED display turns off leaving it looking even better on the top with its full mirrored finish.

Around the back then, there is a USB-C port for charging, a 3.5mm ‘ear’ socket for headphones, a TF (Micro SD) card slot, a USB-A port and finally a telescopic aerial. Surprisingly the USB-A port is not a charge port for a phone but for connecting a USB memory stick where it can also play audio from.

Functions: It has normal standard FM radio and DAB radio plus it can play audio files from a memory card and a USB memory stick, you can also stream music from a Bluetooth enabled device such as your phone. Using a USB memory stick I was also surprised that as well as standard MP3 audio files it would also play AAC, FLAC and WMA files, indicating the type of file on the display.

Bluetooth pairs and connects easily; the sound level is lower than the other modes, but the volume is affected by the volume setting on your device as well as the radio volume control. For DAB you need to scan to get all available stations into memory then you can cycle through them, pressing the Menu/Info button will cycle through the station information such as track title, bit rate, quality etc.

The instructions explain how to set the time, date and alarm functions however the clock automatically sets itself from DAB or FM radio, so I did not have to do that, the alarm function is very easy to setup, just press the ‘Alarm’ button and go through the settings one by one, you can even set what mode it comes on with, FM, DAB or a buzzer (which is just a beeper), and set the volume level!

All pretty good so far but a couple of downsides are apparent. As this is a mono radio, some stereo music files contain a bit of phase distortion which results in a very strange swishing effect. Another downside although more likely a marketing error is the reference to ‘Mains and Battery Powered’. Although it has a built-in rechargeable battery, it cannot be powered directly from the mains, it can however be used whilst it is charging, unlike my other DAB radio which cannot.

I was tempted to give it 4 stars for the ‘mains’ misleading title information, but this is such an impressive little radio with a fantastic look and excellent sound quality for its tiny size, I just had to give it 5 stars. Just note though, it doesn’t have mains power.

Sound quality impressive for its size. Alas, it is NOT mains powered.

I think this is cute little DAB radio that has quite a retro look to it. It’s rechargeable and comes nicely packaged with a usb cable but no plug.

It can be bluetoothed to another device and has a memory card slot too.
Setting up is straight forward and my scan found 77 stations which you can select your favourites and store in presets.

It has a dialled volume control which does slightly distort at higher levels but at normal volume is surprisingly good and clear, it does lack deep bass but for day to day kitchen listening I find it is a decent sound, battery life is good and it is light and portable, it’s length is a little longer than a large smartphone, it has a small leather handle, I like it it dosen’t take alot of space but fills the kitchen with good sound.

A lovely small retro looking rechargeable DAB radio.

I am very pleased with his portable radio. It is battery and mains powered. It has FM radio bands as well as DAB bands. The reception is pretty good as it has an extendable antenna. It also has a Bluetooth option which is really good because you compare your phone and listen to things like Spotify or Apple Music collection. The sound quality is okay. Ideal for the garden or beach but no way loud or powerful enough for a party. It’s very light weight and has a carry trap so you can take it out with you.

This radio is small and works well. You can have FM radio, Bluetooth, micro sd card or usb drive as music outputs. It’s tiny but sounds great in our bathroom. The best thing is the removable rechargable battery which the same type as in many cameras ( so easy to replace if needed ).

Purchased as a gift, the recipient was not disappointed at all!

This is an excellent little radio, its tiny, but packs great sound and a number of features all radios should have.
Very pleased when it arrived as the recipient doesn’t like bulky items and wanted a radio they could carry around the home and garden. This works so well, it indicates when it also needs a charge up.

Looks like it uses old Nokia battery stock as the battery, seems to work really well – I would recommend this to anyone in need of a simple, portable radio.

    Bluetooth works well too!
