Huryfox Gooseneck Car Phone Holder – Windscreen Dashboard Mobile Phone Holder for Cars Mount, Flexible Universal Long Arm Adjustable Strong Suction Car Phone Mount for iPhone 13/12/11 Samsung Huawei. This will look great in my friend car.
10.99 at time of review. 5*.
I like this car phone holder . It has long goose neck that is bend able and sturdy . It can hold even heavier mobile phone . I like it suction . It has a sticky vacuume suction pad and also a clip on suction at the same time . That why it sticks to the surface firmly . I like its soft opening phone clips . It has a 3 sided grip on mobile . It ha scorn grip over a mobile . I like this car phone charger . It can be use on glass or any other car surface . I like it .
Very good, this is exactly what I was looking for, it has a very nice design and is very versatile, it can be used both on the tablet in the car and on the mirror, I was always afraid that the cell phone would fall when I was driving but with this holder this does not happen. I am very satisfied with my order!
It has fantastic suction power and is very easy to install. The price when I am reviewing is 9.99 and something like this in such price is definitely worth it.
it is strong and hard enough, but have to pay attention to the phone holder designed for “below horizontal” of your dashboard.
So easy to install and It’s sturdy enough to hold phone still
Every type of window mount phone holder I’ve had shakes all over the place this one has a sturdy rod and has little feet to rest on the dash to stop any movement and I curls round the top taking it away from the line of sight, well thought out really good bit of kit.
Decent phone holder. There is not much i can say about this. It does exactly what it says, its easy to use and phone seems to be secured safely . There is nothing overly special about this but classic look is what i was after and it suits me.
As this connects to the dashboard the suction power isn’t the best, they have overcome this by adding a sticky material to the suction cup which is great as it holds it in place, however if you remove it and try and change position it looses some of the stickiness meaning it doesn’t hold as well onto the dashboard in some cars. However in this case it could be placed on the windscreen if you wanted and are unable to get it to stick to the dashboard
Not even in the car yet I know that is much better than mounting something on air vents, which redirect air flow only and were NEVER made to carry a load, an expensive load on top.
So this item uses a pipe of soft copper (most likely), which can be bend to shape. This bending has limits how often it can be done, after a few times doing that the tube will go hard. So think about a good position first. That is, unlike the images, for sure not over a groove (or stitching), that never allows an airtight mounting.
The sucker has a large stroke, that alone makes it strong, but also a stickyness. That works once, likely, relocating will reducing this stickyness. That large stroke of the sucker can make long term the rubber stretching, so it loses elasticity, and sucks air. That is better here, because the sticky part really helps against sucking air, but cannot prevent the loss of elasticity over time. (nasty issue with our dash cams falling off because the suction power is gone when turning the lever to suck).
Advice, think twice where to install it, and leave it there then. The handling of the clamps is a bit awkward with the buttons on the rear, the problem is spreading the brackets apart so the phone goes in. I would say thats a two hand job. Closing the side brackets is easier, done by one hand on the bracket with the other on the phone.
Note that both, the sucker and and the two support feet may leave marks on the dashboard over time, if that is not just painted metal. Mounting on the screen may work too, time will tell what will happen to the sucker in the hot sun and UV light.
Things to know: Getting good suction off a car dashboard can be tricky. Usually the surface is lightly textured and often not flat, meaning a suction cup will have trouble sticking.
Huryfox work around this somewhat by putting adhesive on the suction pad. This works, but essentially you’re just sticking the product to the dash. Consequently, if you need to move it, you’ll need a flat tool to prise it off again, which means – you’ve guessed it – you loose a lot of the sticky.
Having said that, I did find a low spot on my dash that found suction and combined with the remaining stick – means it’s doing the job; and it does the job rather well.
The goose neck is tight but manoeuvrable. The frame has a well placed release button for the phone, and has a universal joint that makes it completely adjustable. The frame has “feet” on the back that rest on the dash and stabilise it well. These would benefit from being softer, as they risk scratching the plastic if jolted.
As a product of these design, it’s 5 stars. The problem is the concept of the suction cup is flawed.
I really like that this holder pinches the phone and requires that I use two hands to remove so I have less temptation to hold the phone while driving.
