Everything you need in an emergency. I really love this.
Excellent product, does everything very well and as advertised. Seems good quality and sturdy, exactly what you would want when it is needed to be used. The light can be very bright or customised as needed. A rare overall 10/10* perfect score!
Liked it so much I bought another one, top notch gadget with so many good features
I am actually really surprised at how versatile this little gadget is for the money. It has a wide variety of lighting settings, which can be powered by solar power, charging via the cable provided, or winding via the integral handle – perfect for any set up. It also comes with an AM/AM radio built in, which although not great quality is certainly decent enough and the reception is not too bad. And it includes an alert setting for emergencies. Can also be used as a power bank.
This is a great little gadget to keep around for emergencies!
This is working perfectly as expected and really enjoying it for a month now.
This is brilliant idea all rolled up into one especially for an emergency or even whilst you are out and about camping.
It has everything you need to hand and all available on solar too!
The radio is great, the sound I do have to admit I was pleasantly surprised with for being solar and smallish in size.
It really is a good bit of kit to own and have on you, just in case and for your trips out.
Immver Wind Up Solar AM/FM Radio
The Immver multi-function radio comes in a colour printed box, inside you will find the radio, a charging lead and a set of instructions all held in place by a vac-formed plastic tray.
The device is quite impressive and seems to be made from good quality parts. The case is plastic but seems quite robust. The top and side of the unit have solar panels to charge the internal 5000mAh Lithium Ion batteries. The rear side panel also hinges out to reveal a full length LED light panel and in the main body, the receptacle to hold three AAA backup cells. The front of the device has the controls for the radio, an AM/FM switch, a volume and on/off switch and the tuning knob. The right end has buttons to operate the torch and LED panels lights at the other end, it also has the button to operate the large COB panel at the rear. Another button is dual purpose, first with a short press it lights up a series of blue LEDs on the front to indicate the battery charge. Whilst a long press sets off the SOS siren and flashing lights. The rubber button cover can be folded back to reveal the micro USB charging socket and a standard USB-A socket to use the device as a power bank. For better radio reception an aerial can be pulled out from the right end. On top of all this the Immver device has a winding handle that flips out from the underside of the unit that lets you put some charge into the batteries by turning the handle.
That is quite a lot of functionality in one piece of equipment so, on to how well it all works.
The LED light sources all give a creditable performance and a decent amount of light. The torch has a fairly bright beam which can reach a reasonable distance add to this the two small LED panels and it can light up a good size area. The large fold-out LED panel also has good light output but this is more suited to providing light to a fairly localised area.
I would best describe the radio as adequate, it is by no means a Hi-Fi unit and the output volume is fairly limited, it could be useful for a bit of background music while you work. The tuning knob is rather small as is the tuning display but it serves as a rough indicator for you to tune your favourite station. FM reception works okay with the aerial deployed but I could not get anything but static with it switched to AM. The AM band will probably work better in some areas than others and especially away from the interference caused by household equipment.
The Immver wind up solar AM/FM radio has many features all of which work okay but not outstandingly. It would certainly be a handy device to have for when you are out say camping or fishing and the price is quite reasonable.
I am happy to recommend the Immver wind up solar AM/FM radio because of its versatility and give it five stars for its reasonable price.
Well built radio, works good. Don’t expect to have the small solar panel to charge the internal battery very quick. This solar panel is mostly to maintain power only during full sun. Anyway it is nice for camping and travelling
This lives in my shed and the recent warm weather has powered this up brilliantly. it dosent charge up when cloudy thou but nice bright sunlight charges this radio up a treat and it holds the charge as well. the sounds ok, it’s not top quality, stereo sound but it’s nice enough for bobbing around the garden to.
Immver Wind Up Solar Radio, 5000mAh Hand Crank Dynamo Radio Rechargeable, Portable
What a little gem this is
So many useful features, two solar panels one that can be lifted to an angle, a crank handle to wind up,
can charge your mobile phone, a very bright torch, an sos alarm, a carry handle.
Fm/Am tuner which is a bit short but never mind
As you will hear from my video a really good sound
An absolute must for camping or hiking
Good value at approx 28
Highly recommend
(Hope you found my review helpful)
This is a wicked solar radio.
It has a hand crank to put charge into the radio.
Great for using when camping.
It has a mean torchlight.
You can use AAA batteries as well as the crank.
Overall a brilliant all in one unit that is a godsend for travelling.
Wind Up Solar Radio, 5000mAh Hand Crank Dynamo Radio Rechargeable, Portable Emergency AM/FM Radio, with 4 Modes LED Torch, Reading Lamp, USB Phone Charger, SOS Alarm,
This is a brilliant idea. It arrived well packaged .in the box you get the radio the manual and a type C charger cable .the is a battery compartment for 3 AAA batteries 1 large solar panel and a small solar panel on the side . The is a crank handle for power charging the unit the radio picks up stations just fine. The lights are super bright the siren is loud and clear. A very solid built unit . Brilliant for outdoor use . It has a type C charger socket and a charger USB Charging port that manual is well laid out in multiple languages. A very practical and useful item . I would recommend
I love products that can help to save people money, especially given that energy prices are sky rocketing at the moment and I love this multi use torch/radio/power bank/reading light which can be charged in several ways from winding it up with its hand crank, by using its solar panels or by charging up via the mains.
You can also add 3 x AAA batteries to this if you have run out of charge.
It’s got some great functionality from a choice of torch variations to a separate flip out reading light which doubles as a solar panel as well, AM & FM radio which tunes easily with the traditional style of knob and volume control knob. The design is a bit retro in my opinion and thought that this product could have looked more current tbh, maybe the makers can sell a more stylish option that looks more modern but this doesn’t detract from this great little radio/torch.
This product also has an SOS button which emits a loud siren and flashes the torch (ideal in emergency situations)
I like that this product also has a few led lights to show when it’s charging either via the hand crank, solar panel or mains, a tuning lamp which lights up when you’ve got your fave radio station tuned just right and a another led which warns you that you’ve left the reading light on (easy to do due to the light being behind the flip out solar panel. No point wasting power unnecessarily lol)
It also has 4 x blue led battery level indicator lights to show current charge level.
This fantastic product can also charge up your mobile phone/device etc etc as it has a power bank built in.
I love this product.
The radio tunes quite well although this isn’t digital (DAB) it still tunes with a clear broadcast coming through on both bands. A built in retractable aerial also helps to achieve a better signal.
The speaker sound is also really good and turns up to a loud level.
An attached lanyard comes in handy for attaching this to a back pack or simply keeping it secured to your wrist.
I really wanted this product to have some shock absorption rubbering around it just in case I dropped it because as it is, it looks like it could crack or break easily if its dropped.
The switches at the back are rubberised though with a rubber flap protecting the USB and micro USB ports.
A micro USB cable is supplied although a little on the short side.
A user manual (one of those annoying folded bits of paper manual) is also supplied but this product is pretty intuitive to use without and the information in the manual only really adds supplementary info.
Sorry if this review is long but I love this product and you will too.
Buy it for yourself as an emergency source of power, radio, lighting and alarm or give it as a gift.
AM/FM radio
Torch and 2 led light panels
Seperate flip out led reading lamp
SOS alarm
5000 mAh rechargeable lithium ion battery (decent size to act as a power bank and power source)
2 x solar panels
Hand crank for charging manually (kinetic charging)
USB charging
Lots of features packed into this and well worth it.
Good enough for everyday use or for keeping in a car for example for emergency situations.
At home or travelling… This product is great and I love it 🙂
OK so I admit I love this radio. Having never seen the like of these before, this the second one I have received and reviewed, and I am still bowled over by them. I am a geek and what I most love about them is the shear versatility. It has a solar powered option. It has a hand crank option. It can be powered via a micro-USB cable (either via a separate power bank or via your electricity supply). It can be powered by 3 x AAA batteries (not supplied) which are housed underneath the double bank of solar panels.
I switched it on in solar power battery (Li-ion) mode and tuned the radio to BBC Radio 5 – and it was clearer than my usual radio. There is an aerial that can be found at one end and pulled out (it just looks like a silver button) and then extended up – just to give the radio better range but I barely needed this and sought out a few of my fave radio stations with no real problem at all: Classical Radio, BBC Radio 2, 3, 4, 5 etc.
For all of the above I just have to give it 5 stars. I make no apologies!
This is a very versatile gadget for camping it’s got great design features, solar charges itself, radio, light and it can even act as an emergency power bank for charging a phone, if there is no sun it can also be hand cranked too in a pinch, they have thought of everything with this brilliant little camping aid, recommended to all.
The ultimate versatile radio with only 1 flaw, It is like its made for the military but not quite, it has powerful lamp and reading light, a crank you wind up either way clockwise or anticlockwise for 3 minutes and gives you some energy to use the radio, so the longer you wind it up the more energy you can produce, this would be good for some fitness training get your reps in.
The lights are almost 1000 lumens not quite but close, in pitch black its really good, built in radio FM and AM you tune it yourself, has lights to show you when your tuning it right, you can either use the built in lithium cells which is powered by the usb cable or the sun via solar power, but I recommend the cable because solar energy is just really to prevent the battery from dying.
The crank can offer some energy too but its not really a lazy persons gizmo, I really can’t stress enough the amount of things you can do with this, you can flip one side open and reveals the battery compartment and reading light, comes with laynard string for carry, it can be used as a power bank with the usb out, the micro usb in is for charging the device. Holding the small button that shows SOS will enable alarm SOS mode, press it once and it turns off. The other button is for the side lamp, it looks green on the outside but is actually white and very bright.
There is a small groove where to open the side by the large solar pannel and thats where the lamp light comes out, the torch light in front is turned on when the big light button is pressed, essentially you can have both lights on, but that will drain the power fast. The crank is at the bottom you pull it out and turn it either way to charge some battery, lastly I think I found it all, it has a built in antenna on the side. Its rather an insane little device ready for the apocalypse except is has one flaw which effected the review some what can you guess what that is?
Yeah its the battery 5000mah isn’t going to cut it in the end of the world or a disaster, it should have been 10k minimum or 15k prefered, the more energy you can charge the more you can use for longer. Still it is a near perfect multi-radio, reminds me of the go go gadgets in the goonies.
A product built for end of the world, I recommend it regardless of the 5,000mah battery because you can also use AAA batteries and crank it up as a last resort and the power bank that is the cherry on the cake.
