No one makes movies about happy people who have great marriages, great kids, great jobs. It’s boring. This SSD is boring too. It’s been working for months, no problems. I have nothing to write about. No epic drama happened.
Great for any cheap upgrade to your desktop or laptop. Instant speed upgrade!
The improvements in my old hard drive. It was twice as fast.
Put in my ps4 for speed and more space. Does the job easy to install
This was a great value drive which I’ve installed in a Rasperry Pi with OpenMediaVault. Picked up straight away no issues. Excellent!
Driver delivered it a day late, but these seem to be ok so far (BUT NO INFORMATION ABOUT WARRENTY) could you let me know this is my second drive. michael
My hdd was tired so I replaced it with this and it’s a rocket now
Very good and cheap upgrade
Thanx seller and manufacture
If you’re looking for good quality and performance then you can’t go too far wrong here. Installed this into a laptop and had the whole thing up and running again within an hour, with drastically better performance than it had with its previous hard disk.
Purchased this as an emergency replacement for my wife’s laptop SSD which was showing too much wear after 10 years, it hadn’t reached failure stage but it was only a matter of time so this seemed a good replacement.
Cloned the old drive to this with clonezilla and everything working great as expected – technology has advanced a lot in 10 years so this drive runs just as well as the old Samsung Pro it replaced but cost 90% less.
What’s not to like when it’s as cheap as a bag of fish and chips?
No idea on it’s longevity as this will be different for each user, depending on what they use it for, I’m sure it will be fine.
This has breathed new life into a 12 year old computer. Starts, loads and shuts down x10 faster than with old drive
Bought this product to replace a HDD on my old laptop and so far it is working very well.
It arrived fairly quickly, it is a total game changer, I installed it in my security dvr system.
I can recall footage super quickly, it’s much better than a mechanical hard drive.
I needed to replace my old hard drive so went for the sad option. I installed windows and didn’t need much capacity because I use the computer only to run a few specific supplication. Does the job perfectly.
Works good so far gave it 4 stars as little slower than my previous smaller drive a samsung evo a++
Bought this to replace my dying 4TB disk, speeds are comparable to my M.2 Crucial 500gb.
Mainly bought it for faster boot times on some of the larger games i play.
for example, ARK:SE, used to take a good 3-5 minutes to load up and the game suffered with texture popping even whilst loaded into the game. popped in the 2TB, load times are less than a minute for any map which just makes the game far more playable.
Frankly i’m impressed with the speed, it may not be mind-blowing but in comparison to a spinning disk, it’s night and day difference.
My only concern is the longevity of the device, there’s no signs of failure or whatnot but only time can tell that.
Packaging was a little naff, just came in a clear plastic clamshell in an amazon envelope, could easily have been damaged in shipping had it been put at the bottom of a pile.
This hard drive rejuvenated my old Phenom II desktop.
Strangely, it appears in the BIOS as simply “SATA SSD.” That initially had me worried. Every other drive I have ever used lists the manufacturer and model number, along with other pertinent information, when it’s connected to a PC. This drive doesn’t even know it’s manufacturer, never mind any other details about itself. It it just a compatibility issue with my 10+ year old motherboard? It is laziness on the part of Integral? Is it a counterfeit part? Am I over thinking it?
All in all, it works superbly well for its intended purpose.
Spectacular priced quality brand SSD. Not the fastest ssd I have ever had but good enough for a laptop.
I use this drive as part of a personal NAS (network attached storage) set up at home. It’s as easy as can be – just install in a caddy, plug in and format.
It works for both windows and Mac as you’d expect. And the performance is great. The limitation for me has now shifted from the disk itself to the network.
Thoroughly recommended.
Great value drive, not sure I would store any valuable information on there but great if you are looking for extra storage for games.
Straightforward install, fits the exact same form as the equivalent mechanical HDD so no adapters or anything required — nice boost in random read performance means my laptop now boots significantly faster and results in a lot more battery time spent doing useful work instead of waiting for I/O. Uses a fair bit less power than a mechanical as well so a smidge more overall battery life completes the picture. Would recommend.
Easy to fit and install. Transformed my slow old PC with an old hard drive into a fast PC which easily copes with Windows 10 operating platform
Purchased 2 of these to replace traditional hard drives in ageing laptops , no issues installing the drives , both work perfectly and with a fresh windows 10 install on both machines they work better than ever , they now boot and are usuable within 20 seconds , I can’t comment on reliability as they are brand new but so far so good
Got 3 of these only to find out that they were used and had operating systems on 2 of them. After a brief conversation with a very helpful member of Amazon the issue was resolved to my liking. As for the SSD themselves, Integral do male a cracking SSD. I have bought maybe 15 or so in the last few months and happy to report NONE have failed. Very Happy
i purchased a gigabyte ssd to use dj software on . but i was forever getting song clip freeze with it . after 3 months i gave up with it and purchased this drive . and the clipping has gone . so for that its all good
Installed in a Lenovo laptop which had been painfully slow. Connected using a caddy then cloned the existing HD to the new SSD. Then changed over the drives, putting the SSD into the laptop. It now runs a treat almost like a new laptop.
If you have an old laptop with a standard hard disk drive, then this is a great cheap option to give it a new lease of life. Old laptops HDD’s can get pretty slow and noisy (they often started their life slow & noisy!). I had an old laptop that took an age to boot, and would spend a long time with HDD usage at 100%, even when apparently sitting idle (I imagine it was doing background updates or something). Swapping the HDD out for this SSD has made it faster and MUCH less noisy, which certainly makes it more pleasant to use. A few points you should note if you’ve not swapped out an HDD for an SSD before – make sure the SSD has enough capacity to copy your existing HDD onto it – this isn’t a huge SSD in terms of capacity, so just sanity check that it is at least as large as your current HDD or at least larger than the amount of data you have stored on it (I actually downgraded the amount of storage from a 750Gb HDD to this 480Gb SSD, but that was fine as only about 25% of the original HDD actually had an data on it, which still left plenty of spare space on this 480Gb drive). If your laptop appears to have 2 HDD’s (e.g. C: and D:) it will actually be 1 HDD split into 2 partitions, so you need to take into account the total amount on both “drives”. You’ll also need a cable to connect the drive up to your laptop so that you can copy your exiting HDD contents onto it before installing it physically. You will need either a USB-to-SATA cable or a cheap HDD/SSD enclosure. Once you’ve connected the disk to your laptop via the cable, you’ll also need to initialise it within windows using Disk Manager, otherwise it won’t be accessible & won’t show up in Windows. You’ll also need software which will “clone” your HDD to the SSD (it’s important you use disk cloning s/w and not just try to use Windows “copy”, as this won’t set up the new disk correctly). Finding a free piece of software to do this can be tricky, but (at the time of writing) Macrium Reflect has a free version that works great for this. Copying the HDD to the SSD will take a pretty long time, so be prepared for that. Once it’s done, you need to power everything off, take out your laptop battery, and open up your laptop to access the HDD and do the physical installation. How this is done varies a bit between different laptops, so would recommend looking online ahead of time to see what the procedure looks like for your particular laptop. So that’s just some additional info, the drive itself is working well at the moment and was really good value. It may not be the best SSD, but it’ll be way better than any old laptop HDD. So long as you are comfortable with the process of setting up the disk & physically taking your laptop apart a bit, then this is a worthwhile upgrade.
The disk was used to replace HDD in IMAC A1311 and it works like a charm. The system is flying now.
I did frash install of macOS, so don’t know how would cloning work.
Had this a few weeks now and its done the job it was needed for. Just needs to hold windows so my niece can do her homework. Not amazingly fast but does the job.
Bought one of these drives in Febuary, no problem fitting it into my computer and it works well, responsive enough for me. Purchased this one to have a bit more working storage (camera pictures), again no problem fitting it os getting it to work with my computer.
i needed a replacement drive as any HDD drive i plugged into my laptop would shut off after boot.
I bought this one and it was so simple to fit.
From boot we updated the drivers and the new hard drive runs smooth with fast file transfers.
i might get the bigger drive for my other laptop next.
Had these only a couple of months, so ignore longevity rating.
My old Dell PC started misbehaving, found it was the C: internal HDD. Replaced it with one of these and restored Win10 – now it starts up and wakes up MUCH faster than ever before. No time to take a shower while it boots now! Installation easy – uses the same plugs as the HDD, and you can tape it to the chassis or just leave it loose.
I was so pleased I got another for my Dell Inspiron laptop: again, revitalised. Easy fit.
A bit more expensive than the equivalent HDD, but certainly well worth it – saves buying another computer, and the extra speed is wonderful.
my advice has always been avoid unbranded or obscure brand SSDs as loads of them have failed when I maintained computers for schools.
These integral drives have been excellent and I think I have bought 3 of these and no issues. A lot of these mounting brackets bought separately were poor, and I restored to using double sided velcro to fit these in some PCs.
I initially thought it was a faulty disk, when I put it into an enclosure and connected it to laptop it didn’t show up as a USB connected disk.
The memory is unallocated, so you need to go into disk management and format it first.
Then it shows up, and you can clone to it.
Finding free clone s/w was not easy, all the traditional ones now want money, easeus and aomei let you think it’s free until you try and use it.
Macrium is free (at the moment)
fitted this drive to my 9 year old aging Acer Aspire as the mechanical HDD was dragging it’s heels and sounded like a coffee grinder… laptop now boots to the desktop in seconds rather than minutes like it did…. will see how the longevity of the new SATA SSD holds up… but at the price it cost it was a cheap upgrade even if I only get a few years out of it….have used the old HDD as a slave drive fitted to the laptop… 🙂 , went and purchased a second SSD for my wife’s aging laptop…. her laptop is way faster than mine now…
Have used this drive for several desktop and laptop computers swapping between them to check computer functionality. Would highly recommend as they are excellent value for money. How long they’ll last is another matter. One addition would be the icing on the cake: an adapter cradle to take them from 2.5″ up to 3.5″ Still cant complain at this price point.
Very easy to setup used macrium reflect to clone a drive to this SSD and it took about 15mins. The quality of this drive looks good. Obviously I can’t say how good this drive will be long term but if it lasts longer than 9 months( that’s how long the last SSD lasted) then I will be happy. I have used integrale flash drives in the past and they lasted a long time.
Plugged into the mini PCI slot on the motherboard and installed Windows 10 onto it no problem. Feels quite nippy for the age of the system. The system has 16GB DDR3 RAM and an i7 4770S CPU, and has been working well for light graphic design and video editing work with this SSD at the system drive.
I don’t think it has a large cache so you wouldn’t want to do much shifting of large files, where it tends to drop to around 40MB/s. But as the boot/applications drive it does feel more than fast enough 🙂
I bought this 120GB SSD to use as a backup for my main 250GB SSD running windows 10. The main SSD is a far more expensive Samsung 860 EVO. I know the Samsung is supposed to be fast and I guess the Integral SSD must be too given that a clone (copy) process run using Acronis True Image 2021 was completed in just 4 minutes for 60GB data. I have never known Acronis to complete a clone copy so quickly before. All these products were bought on amazon. The cloned copy on the Integral SSD booted up immediately to run windows 10. I will hold it in reserve in case my main SSD or operating system ever stops working. Further info: I just used Samsung Magician software to benchmark (measure the speeds of) my Samsung and new Intergal SSDs. I can now understand how the clone transfer was so fast. On sequential read, the Samsung is a tad faster at 555 mb/s compared to 538 mb/s for the Integral. But for sequential write, the Integal is faster at 464 mb/s compared to 379 mb/s for the Samsung 860 EVO.
I was looking for a second disk for backup. This seemed a reasonable deal. As an SSD it’s fine for my purposes but the modest price is offset by the amount of time needed to get the thing actually recognised (it didn’t like my caddy via USB and needed a motherboard connection), initialised, partioned and manually allocated a drive letter! A lot of faff and bother compared to the last one I bought which was ‘plug and play’.
In use it’s fast enough to do the job, noticeably faster that my fastest conventional HDD, it would probably be an economical way of speeding up older machines. You will need the necessary knowledge to set it up though!
