Very true to it’s description. The pattern is very cute with two different design textures. It has a handle as well which can be clicked back into place. It doesn’t leak even if you shake the bottle rigorously. Very much recommended.

This is a lovely, sturdy and fully leak proof bottle which goes nicely with a child’s school lunch box.
The light green colour and ‘smiley apples’ design make for a very distinctive bottle which won’t get lost easily amongst other bottles in a school setting.
Most importantly the bottle does everything right – it’s easy to open and close, keeps cold water cold, remains totally leak proof after weeks of daily use, and has a lockable top as well. The bottle also fits nicely in car cup holders which is a very handy feature.
Overall an attractive, reliable 400ml water bottle which I am happy to recommend.
This is a really cute bottle. It’s made well and is strong. When the lid is shut it’s leak proof.. when you open it there’s a big drinking hole so it wasn’t suitable for my 2 yr old grandaughter. I thought it was drip/leak proof drinking tube but it isn’t.
This is the second Ion8 water bottle we have used, and both have been good. The locking mechanism on the lid really does make it leak proof – much more so than other similar bottles we have tried.
I like the stainless steel design too, and it is a reasonable price (all water bottles seem to be expensive, but this less so than some others). Recommended.
Water bottles seem to come in two basic types — all plastic, and stainless steel. This one is targeted especially at kids and is a smaller size made especially for little hands with a leak proof re-sealable cap to make sure contents don’t spill. Most bottles are between 500ml — 1 litre. This Ion8 Leak Proof Kids Water Bottle offered for review under the Amazon Vine programme contains just 400ml. Measuring 67mm diameter (about the diameter of a standard 330ml drinks can) and 171mm tall, it is ideal for a youngster in single figure ages. It features an attractive design based upon smiling red and green apples which are slightly raised above the ash green background, which I thought was striking. It is dishwasher safe when time comes to give it a clean, although if you are hand washing you will probably need a washing-up brush or push a washing-up sponge around with a knife to do a thorough job.
The top unscrews like most do revealing the stainless steel interior, which should enable a drink to be kept hot as well as cold for a while. The top will nip up firmly thanks to an inbuilt diamond pattern which is designed to aid purchase if opening or closing, and which is fitted with a good seal that means if the bottle isn’t upright in a bag it won’t leak, all features I liked a lot. There’s a flip top cap opened by pressing a button downwards, giving access to a 12mm wide drinking hole. Once the drink has been taken it closes positively with a noticeable click, which is a good hygiene feature given how mucky kids can get things. There’s also an inbuilt carrying ring, which means it could be carried this way of attached to (say) a rucksack, another thoughtful feature.
Opening the bottle there is no overt smell at all, although there’s a silica gel bag which should be removed before giving to a child which is clearly doing the job of keeping things smell neutral. Examining the cardboard label everything here is recyclable, though given the product is stainless steel it is well capable of a very long life. When it does finally bite the dust though the material choices mean it should recycle at the kerbside, which as a committed recycler is a big thumbs up from me.
This drinks bottle was enthusiastically received by my grandson who liked the bright, cheerful pattern. It’s just the thing to take to school to keep him hydrated through the day with his favourite squash, and comes up bright every time. The use of a solid stainless steel body is preferable because squeezing an all-plastic bottle has, in the past, led to rather more drink coming out at once than he was ready for, with the relatively small opening a transition between the Tommee Tippee style toddler bottles and a full on opening that could result in spills. At 13.50 it is not as cheap as many all-plastic bottles, but boy, is it destined for a long life — ideal as it can be passed down to younger siblings.
Although this states leak proof there is a small little hole on the bottle and if tipped too much it will leak so therefore not ideal for very young Children.
Other than that I really reccomend this for older Children to drink out of, it’s excellent to use and it is a lovely design.
My daughter likes this colorful vacuum cup very much. Its outer surface is coated with scratch resistant coating and those apple patterns are 3D printed, which are very eye catching both visually and tactile. It doesn’t have a straw, the spout is very wide and easy to clean, it also has a portable lifting ring. Although the 400ml capacity is not enough for some people who like camping or sports, for my kids two hours of remedial classes after school every week is enough. Overall, great quality and affordable.

My 90 yr old Mum had a habit of accidentally knocking drinks over when she reaches for them but now she is super happy with her new bottle.
I was a bit concerned that she wouldn’t be able to flip the cap open but she does it fine & so far no more spills !!!
It’s easy to clean being stainless steel inside , Easy for her to drink from & she carries it around by the little flip up handle while using her zimmer frame without the worry of her squash ending up over the floor .
It’s also just the right size for her …. Not to small that it’s gone in no time at all but just enough that it keeps her going for a few hours …. And she Loves the Design

It’s a very good stainless steel bottle with an open spout. It doesn’t have a straw, so if you’re byunf it for a toddler probably not a good idea. But I buy these bottles for my school aged children and I don’t like to cleans straws as they get really difficult to clean. These bottles are very sturdy, has great variety of colors that kids love and very easy to clean.
We have been longterm users of Ion8. They are addictive! Why? Becasue they are practically indestructible. Our daughter has been usu g them since reception at school, it’s the only bottle that has lasted more than a term. Infact, her very first Ion8 is still perfectly usable.
Yes. We paid through the roof for that first bottle. We bit the bullet becasue we grew increasingly tired of throwing money away with cheaper bottles that failed in the end. From leaking gaskets, to broken hinges to mouldy inners from sealed suction drinkers.
This one is simple, easy to use, a breeze to clean and can tolerate being thrown around the sideline whilst our now older daughter takes a sip and haphazardly discards the bottle only to retrieve it later.
The drinks stay suitably cool during her school day. Not as cold as a flask as the lid is plastic and also not insulated. Drinks can also be kept suitable warm, butbthis would be risky for milk products if kept below 60C due to the temperature danger zone, especially as, say, a flask of hot cocoa cools to this temperature.
All in all a school bottle well worth the initial outlay.

This is a well designed water bottle. We love the smiley apple design on the outside. The bottle is leakproof and its safety catch is very difficult to open accidentally. Having a mess free spout to drink from is a big plus. No problems cleaning. Reasonably priced. Suitable for ages 7+.
In an attempt to figure out whether this one is meant to be a boy’s bottle or a girl’s one I have figured out this is like with clothes, it is perfectly unisex.
These bottles are wonderful. They are single layer stainless steel (the lid is plastic but it has no nasty odours).
These bottles are lightweight and have great colourful prints.
They are very stylish, highly functional, great size and leak proof. I am not all too convinced about the new lid locks but they are great, handled carefully (meaning not chucked about in a bag full of valuables).
Highly recommended, only note – these are not insulated.
The bottle has a very cute design of little smiling red an green apples that I think kids would really like. The bottle is smaller as it’s for kids and so lighter and easier to fit in a lunch bag for school or day trips. It’s very well made and doesn’t leak at all, perfect for kids who run around a lot and since it’s reusable it’s a good way to be more environmentally responsible and teach kids about taking care of the planet. A great bottle for kids with a solid design.
This is great lovely and cheery colour is actually leak proof unlike other bottles that state that, it’s really sturdy has a very good catch and when you push it up lid easily flips up I actually used it to take cold drink with me in the car brilliant as I had no spillage in the car drink holder and is easy to drink out of spout I know its supposed to be for kids but I love it its easy to clean with warm soapy water it is dishwasher safe my 4 year old grandson wants one now as he loves i
A very attractive little bottle. The design is very vivid and bright.
This one has a steel body and plastic top but others in the series are plastic bodies so check this out if it’s important to you. That said it is still light weight and comfortable to hold.
The lid has a release button which makes it flip open. There isn’t a safety catch but I don’t think it needs it. There is a loop to allow it to be tied to something if you wanted to carry it like that.
An air hole in the lid let’s the contents flow nicely.
Seems completely leak proof and perfect size for small bags or lunch boxes.

Ion8 has been a good brand for plastic leak proof water bottles. This variant is metal rather than plastic.
First thing you notice is the quality. When you look at it and pick it up, nothing about it either looks cheap, or feels cheap. It’s just very well made and given a real premium feel to it. If you’re thinking about a gift, this is definitely a water bottle with a nice pleasant wow factor to it.
At 13 it’s not cheap, however given the quality premium feel of this, I’d say if you’re after something a bit more premium and super robust then this is worth it.

It’s really well made, the feel of the materials is good, there’s no smell, it doesn’t leak, it has a little carry handle, it’s really easy to clean, there’s no mucking about cleaning straws and it is safe for the dishwasher! Lovely design too. Very happy with this and I have paid more for similar so I feel this is good value and this offers benefits/ features the more expensive ones I have purchased don’t offer.
Love this brand and their unique design. This bottle is perfect size for children , light and small with a carrying loop .It’s easy to wash as is suitable for dishwasher. It’s open with just one click and keeps the water cold for up to 12 hours. Most important for me is that is leak proof and there is no straw inside. Very hygienic too and the lead keeps it safe and clean.

The water bottle is vacuum insulated so cold drinks are kept cold and hot drinks are kept warm. It is made from stainless steel and does not retain the odour or taste of the beverage.
I like this type of water bottle because this is heavy duty and durable! My son has something similar that he dropped so many times and it’s still intact.
It has an on the go one touch feature so my son does not have a hard time drinking from it.
It is also leak proof. I put the bottle inside my son’s back pack and I never had any issues. His back pack stays dry with no signs of leak.
It also has a carrying handle so my son can just carry it around easily.
I am very happy with this water bottle. Love the colour and the design! It’s lightweight and easy to carry.

This is a small water bottle which won’t take up a lot of room in your bag. It’s well made. My daughter has dropped it twice already and it’s fine. No dents. The cap screws on and there is no leaks. The top flips up for easy access to your drink and that top also seals well so it won’t come undone in your bag or leak. Ideal for kids with small hands. A lovely pattern on the outside. Says you can’t use it for very hot drinks but should be ok for warm hot chocolate or tea on the go. Very happy with the quality.
I can’t get enough of Ion8 bottles. We have so many at our house. The design of this is so cute and the raised 3D apple print is of great quality. The sleek design is one to show off rather than hide in your bag.
I really liked the size of this bottle – not so large as to make my child’s bag heavy, yet big enough to have enough water for the day. Easy to clean – you can put it on the top shelf of the dishwasher. It also keeps the water cool for the whole day, and the taste remains unchanged.
The top is made of hard plastic and is BPA-free. It is very secure and 100% leakproof. I highly recommend this bottle and all of the other Ion8 bottles, they are just the best.

I am a fan of this brand (Ion8) as I have had other plastic water bottles from them, and they are always well-designed and do not leak. This vacuum insulated steel water bottle is no exception.
It is pale green in colour with a cute design of green and red cartoon apples circling the bottle. The plastic screw top lid has their usual locking mechanism (new design), which is simple to use, and the one-touch button to open the top (when the lock is not in use). There is a standard drinking spout inside, and a carrying loop on the outside of the lid which can be carried by a finger or put on a carabiner etc. The vacuum insulated steel interior keeps drinks hot or cold for hours. This is a small bottle or flask with a capacity of 400ml, but this would be adequate for most children and means that the bottle or flask is a small size so easy and relatively light to carry even when full.
It is fairly easy to clean as the lid screws off and the design mean there are not too many small nooks and crannies to get into. Please note: this cannot be put in a dishwasher but needs to be hand washed.
This is currently retailing at 12.91 (at the time of this Amazon Vine review) which is quite pricey for a small water bottle or flask normally, *but* this is a vacuum stainless steel one with all the benefits this provides in keeping drinks hot or cold so perhaps not an unreasonable price. I am pleased with this product, and I am happy to recommend.
