Does a great job on slabs and the tops of block paving, however it’s not great at removing moss buildup between slabs and block paving.
But I would say if you keep up your maintenance after a good old jet wash it would stop the buildup of pesky moss and be a top product.
Easy to use, clear instructions and what a time saver compared to usual pressure washer accessories. Generates lots of dirty water so had to keep stopping and hosing this out of the way but still way quicker. Would highly recommend.
It is fantastic for cleaning paving without lifting the sand in between slabs. Also, I don’t know have to clean splatter off my wellies or walls!
As it is Karcher own-brand, it is robust and perfect for the job.
I was debating whether to get this orig Karcher patio cleaner or a non-branded copy due to the price. I am so glad I got this even though it was quite pricey. It was so easy to use and powerful. It did not splash everywhere getting my clothes or shoes all dirty and muddy. And having never really cleaned my patio properly, the result is fabulous!
I bought this last summer but have only just got round to using it. When I think how much the pressure washer itself sprays water round the place, the water retention of the T5 is staggeringly good. There is a lot of paving still to go, however!
Our patio had gone very green over the winter so we bought this attachment for our Karcher on the recommendation from a friend. The results are amazing, green came off with just water and with minimal effort on my part which was good. Highly recommended and worth every penny!
I am so pleased I purchased this brilliant accessory for my karcher2 . It does an amazing job and the bonus is no spray mess and cuts the time in halfwell pleased
Easy to assemble and attach to my K3. Not quite figured out the mix setting with it on for the cleaner but even without, cuts through the dirt and algae on the patio and left it looking almost good as new!
Had a Karcher patio cleaning attachment well over 10yrs ago; it looked the same as the T-Racer but was very poor at what it was supposed to do. This week after watching a You Tube review I ordered a new T-Racer and how impressed I have been with it. So much more efficient than just using the dirt buster lance. The two extension polls are an added bonus and these can also be used with the normal Kacher lances. I noted some negative reviews on the T-Racer where problems emerged when trying to connect back to a normal lance. This is a common Karcher issue and is caused by the yellow cap, retaining an O ring, becoming detached and then implanted into the mating component. Just remove the yellow cap with long nosed pliers and put it back where it came from.
Item arrived today, to be used with a K4 pressure washer to wash the front patio.
I changed the sprayers as by default it has the yellow ones installed, so I installed the suitable ones for the K4.
Sprayed the patio in low settings with the stone detergent first, brushed a bit and then went with the T5. It worked really well. It takes some round movements to get all the dirt out, but managed to remove all the moss that was present between the bricks.
Scooped the dirt out, rinsed with the regular nozzle on hard, and it came out nice and clean.
After use, I removed the screw holding the sprayers on the T5, gave it a good clean before storage, and the brace was spinning like new without grating (that was due to the dirt from the job done).
I am quite happy with it and will see how it lasts on future use. I guess if cleaned properly each time it should last a long while
I recently had my roof replaced and the mess that was left on my new resin drive was heartbreaking. There is a large area so while I could have jet washed by hand it was going to be a big job. This worked even on low setting and made it so easy not a total nightmare. Next job will be the decking when it is more suitable weather to re-oil it.
I was some what dubious about this tbh. It was needless, what a fine piece of kit it really is, simple to attach even easier to use. The knack seemingly is too use or like your hoovering no I’m not loosing the plot… Honestly it works better than the wand on flags the circular shape say on flags is to have the tracer leave the area your cleaning going both up down and left to right. It’s done… Far quicker to.
Recommended, highly….
This is far quicker and less messy for cleaning paving slabs. So glad I bought it. BUT, it is expensive, and the bristle ‘skirt’ surrounding it is already getting bent after 4 1hr uses. I don’t think it will last long. On the other hand it saved me so much time and aggro. but it’s pricy for what it is.
I used this with a karcher K2. The results may be better with a more powerful pressure washer.
This drive cleaner contains all the splashing so doesn’t leave a mess all over your neighbours cars when you clean your drive.
It removes most of the moss and muck off the surface of the paving bricks or slabs and does this a lot quicker than using the dirt blaster as it is covering more area.
The muck is left standing on the slabs so needs to be washed away afterwards. This can be done with a less powerful spray to prevent it going all over the neighbours cars.
Some weeds and the moss between slabs is left behind so may need a quick blast with the dirt blaster wand.
Overall happy with purchase.
Comes with simple to install conversion parts, to make it suitable for all the Karcher jet washers and definitely speeds up a deep clean of the patio whilst also controlling the mess such a job inevitably makes – no real splattering of objects/people nearby (thankfully). Well worth getting and especially at the good price I got at the time.
This is a great bit of kit used this attachment for the first it a time saver when cleaning patio, cleans perfectly without spaying/splashing everything around the patio and saves time washing everything else after pressure washing would recommend
This was well worth the money (did purchase on Prime Day). Worlds apart from simply blasting with standard lance. Much faster and without the splatter up the walls.
Have an older basic pressure washer so had to change the jets in the head, which were supplied the box.
Kept my six year old entertained for a couple of hours cleaning the driveway.
Cleaning in my paved areas of the garden used to take me hours and I would get covered in the splashback. This device has more than halved the time it takes me to clean the garden and I didn’t get messy.
Have put off purchasing one of these due to price, but having borrowed a neighbour’s and seen the results I succumbed..
Works very well and doesn’t seem to damage the paving grout as much as using the pressure washer lance.
Cleaned the patio with ease. The adjustment of the jets makes this versatile to all types of outside flooring. Decking and patio cleaned in a third of the time it would have taken me with just the jet wash. Enclosed head ensured all water is kept within the unit. Only needed the pressure washers hose to clear away the dirt this product lifted off. Top product couldn’t recommend more
After previously pressure washing my pathways, I would need to clean walls and door bottoms of spatters. This cleaning attachment removes the problem. Once the correct jet is fitted, to match your jet washer flow, It is easy to use by gently guiding the head over the surface. No need to drag or push. The washer head cleans well into corners, so, no need to spot clean.
After cleaning, I found grit left around the paths, that could be trodden into my home. I gave time for this to dry and swept it up.
Happy!.
This was on special offer halve price. I had the older model and lost the extension so new extension 15 or 48 for two extensions and the base unit. No brainer works great, there’s a newer model now but why pay 90 ?
After using an old (c.2007) inherited Karcher patio cleaner on my K4 Full Control and finding it pretty rubbish (nothing more than a weak mist), I thought it was a poor tool. So I foolishly disregarded it for many years, until I found this on offer and decided to try again after being surprised by the results I’ve seen on videos.
Thankfully this time its so much better. You won’t quite get the ultra deep clean of the dirt blaster lance but unless your patio has been neglected for many years, you shouldn’t need that much power. You save a lot of time not just due to the larger area covered, but also because you don’t spend twice as long having to clean dirt that the dirt blaster covers everything with.
The two provided extension poles are very sturdy when the collars are tightened properly and as they come in two parts there’s some versatility in how long you have the handle. At full length I find it comfortable to use while standing up and it gives plenty of reach. The bonus is the dirt blaster can be attached to the end of the extension, allowing you to be far away from the dirt splash if/when you do need to use it. Also provided are two extra sets of nozzles, which appear to cover compatibility for the whole Karcher range.
It’s not the only tool you’ll need for the patio. The extreme edges will need the dirt blaster, plus you’ll need to sweep up, or use the standard jet wash attachment to wash standing dirt away. But all in all a very useful labour saving tool for your pressure washer.
Fabulous piece of kit , really makes light work of just about every surface. Much easier on your arms & I’d say 3 times faster than using a traditional lance. Used it on tarmac drive & concrete slabs. It blasts out any weeds between slabs & makes a lot less mess than using a normal pressure washing wand. I was able to use this wearing trainers & no wet gear, as it produces little mess or debris. I’d highly recommend this patio cleaner, it’s been even better than I expected.
The new patio cleaner attachment is far superior to the old K2 variant I had before, with the ability to raise and lower the height of the jets from the ground, it ensures the best performance over whatever surface you’re cleaning. The longer extension attachments also means far less strenuous bending and longer cleaning strides between your movements. Some will say it’s expensive but, feel free to try the cheaper unbranded ones, then after an hour of work order this and do the job properly, that’s exactly what I’ve done, the cheaper ones just don’t have the cleaning power that the authentic Karcher ones do. Put simply, if you want to waste time and money get the cheaper one, if you want to get the job done properly the first time, GET THIS, it’s that simple.
Struggles with ingrained moss dots, but otherwise very good for the main job. You can as I did, go back to the stubborn bits with the high pressure wand. I reckon the people who have slated this unit haven’t read the instructions properly or couldn’t be bothered to identify which of the three sets of nozzles they supply to put on it, according to which model of Karcher they are using. That bit is really important.
I have a Karcher K4 and a dirty patio that I dread cleaning with the standard wand. It takes hours. I was sceptical of the patio cleaner as I did not see how it could be that much more efficient. My scepticism was misplaced. The patio cleaner is brilliant. I think it cleans 8 to 10 times faster than the wand. It is fast and effective.
Things to note. Do any edges with the wand as the cleaner will not function as well if the entire disk is not on the ground. Make sure you change the nozzle heads to the correct ones for your model. I think the K4 needed the yellow nozzles. A firm push can be needed to change the wand to the cleaner attachment but not really as issue.
I suppose I have to be a bit miserable and say that it is a bit expensive for what it does but it is excellent and I no longer have to spend time with soggy feet.
I bought this after seeing reviews on Youtube. I have the Karcher K2 washer and this works a treat with it. If you use it on block paving you will have to turn down the preasure as it can be a bit savage, but on slabs its brilliant, plus you dont get covered in muddy water which is a bonus. I have just done the neighbours patio and she’s dead chuffed with the results.
I have an older version of this, and it is smaller by a quite an amount. As we moved house, and have a bigger patio, we needed one which would do the job quicker. This was just the ticket, took a couple of weeks to arrive, but as it was well discounted i cant complain. Does what it says, and like the idea you can adjust how close the jets are to the patio, and thereby improving the cleaning power. Comes with 2 extension tubes, and green and grey jets, so you can adjust the jets to your needs. Hopefully it lasts, and makes my patio look the biz. Good price, and great quality.another bonus, Amazon managed to deliver it a full week before its estimated date. Wow, impressed.
I thought it fitted a karcher 4 in the ad but it doesn’t so after hours of working out why I managed to make it fit and it works well. Perhaps I misread the details on Amazon.
This is a huge improvement from the small patio cleaner included with the K2, the bristles along with the pivoting lance make a big difference. I’ve seen complaints about the extensions being flimsy, they have a collar that must be tightened up and they then become very secure. The head contains the water well to avoid splashes, but also contains any stones that get in so you sometimes need to lift it. The nozzles were easy to swap out for my K2, don’t lose the spares!
I can’t see the T7 being worth the extra money over this, you can lift the head to clear dirty water. A turbo nozzle is better for doing edges against walls and in corners.
This doesn’t make the job very much easier or quicker – patience is still required to do a thorough job – but the big gain is a massive reduction in mess and splashing! We’ll worth it. There’s no rotating brush – just rotating nozzles which can occasionally jam if they pick up a small stone. If that happens it’s easy to clear and no damage is done. The rotating nozzles will sometimes leave a herringbone pattern if it’s moved to quickly. Just slow down and everything will be fine.
I bought an earlier version of this (but same basic idea) in 2005 and frankly, it was hopeless. Useless. However, 18 years later I decided to rely on the great reviews and buy the latest version and it is genuinely remarkable. I should say that I am using it with a K7 Compact washer which is top end performance, but it just does the job, and brilliantly. It is like painting white paint over your patio. With full power on my K7 it sometimes wants to take off, so you have to turn the proximity to the patio down a little, but I always say you’ve bought the right tool if you have to turn it down a bit from full power (same applies to cars). I wholeheartedly recommend this.
I’ll admit I only bought this as my previous Karcher patio attachment had broken (the more basic version). I decided to upgrade and the difference was remarkable – the brushes stop water going everywhere and having soggy ankles, and the speed at which I managed to clean my patio compared to the previous attachment was noticeably quicker. Very impressed!
Really like this purchase makes cleaning paving very good got it at a very good price
Made the job quicker, more comfortable and a lot less messy.
Why didn’t I get one of these before. Only took an hour instead of half the day. Also so. much cleaner to use . No mud spattered face
Never used a decking cleaner before but this is brilliant! Our decking hasn’t been cleaned in 2yrs but it has brought it up very well.
I soaped up the decking first and then slowly went back and forward over the slates.
Only negative, might just be mine but the yellow bung inside the connection comes out when I twist the sprayer nozzle off.
Just Brilliant , Heard the moans about flopping head about and silly quips , sorry read the instructions , there is no problem at all with this product, way beyond expectations, does the job. Would buy over and over again, thanks Amazon for best price
Bought this branded product because of its name. Works well, but never as well as the promotional blurb! The extension arms are flimsy especially if you put pressure on them. They are two pieces of plastic which join together, maybe one piece would work a lot better. Would I buy again ,no.
Just need it to stop raining long enough to be able to use it!
Cleaned my patio in a fraction of the time it took with the Lance and no wet trousers!
My folks gave me an elderly but functioning Karcher B403 (UK). It looks like an older K3. I couldn’t find any advice anywhere on whether the T5 was compatible but one YouTuber did say that if the model had the trigger lance on it with the bayonet fittings it would be. So I ordered one. So glad I did. Makes the patio cleaning a breeze. So much quicker and easier than using a lance and better results.
Very easy to use and cleaned block paved drive really well without making a mess or soaking everything else
Why didn’t I get one of these earlier?
It’s not perfect and can take a little while to run over things, but it makes cleaning things like the decking and drive so much easier and cleaner.
Using just the pressure washer head (without this adaptor), I always ended up filthy due to the amount of crap being sprayed in every direction. This keeps everything under the hood and works really well.
Highly recommend!
I’ve got an old Karcher K2 pressure washer, so the latest patio cleaning heads are incompatible with it. This T 5 model was however supposed to work with my model of Karcher. As I have a fish pond in the garden, none of the commercially available chemical patio cleaners are suitable for me so this seemed to be a perfect solution.
First impressions were not great – the head looks little more than an upturned washing up bowl with a plastic rotating arm containing a couple of plastic nozzles. The two extension pieces went together ok, but the joint seemed a bit too wobbly for my liking. Hmmm.
First job was to change the plastic nozzles to the correct colour to suit my Karcher K2. The default nozzles are held in with a small wire U shaped clip, so that has to be removed, the nozzles popped out and the correct ones slipped in before replacing the U shaped clips. All straightforward enough.
With the unit connected up to the Karcher, it was time to give it a try. Although my patio is less than a year old, it was covered in green algae and mud after weeks of bad weather so I thought it would be quite a good test. Good grief, was I surprised. This thing is a beast at removing everything from my slabs and brickwork and does not seem to damage the grouting either. It’s as easy as vacuuming a carpet! Although I was a bit dubious about this item, I’ve been pleasantly surprised. It loses a star for being a bit flimsy looking.
