The writing tablet was for a 20 month toddler and I was horrified when he pulled it out of the box a spare button battery fell on to the floor!! If I hadn’t seen it he could have put it straight into his mouth. This needs to be secured not just left loose in the box!!!!!!

Apologies for the previous bad review. There is an on/off small button on the left side. It’s a smarty electronic that needs to be started or closed at times. Still a dread to change its batteries but overall very good for my daily notes. Thank you.

A cool little doodler that my daughter loves. The colours are not as bright as the pictures would lead you to believe but still works fine.

My little niece was playing with one of these at the weekend, and my 4 year old was fascinated by it – we ordered one for him, then had to order one for the 10 year old the next day – and I’m considering buying one for myself! Very therapeutic! Clicking the stylus back in is a little fiddly so worried it’ll get lost, but other than that these are fab, would make a great gift for most ages!! Love the little lock switch to protect your artwork too 😉

Fantastic drawing board that my 3 year olds love. The drawing boards they have currently Mark and scratch easily and it never goes back to being a complete fresh page. This goes back 100% black with a touch of a button!

They love the colours it makes (although not the brightest it doesn’t bother them one bit)

No charging either, always ready to go.

    3 year olds love i

Bought this for my 5 year old niece. She had recently been visiting and working her way through my printer paper, drawing and writing and getting through loads of it. Saw this and thought it might save me some money and mess in the long run and, thankfully, she was really pleased with it. Kept her going throughout her visit and she managed to do some pretty patterns and practice her writing. Very easy to use. Use pen provided and erase at the press of a button. It also has a lock button to save progress of work.

The little pad is very easy to write on and everything is erased with a click of a button. The only issue I had was as the writing changes colours, some of the darker colours are very difficult to see as the pad is not very bright.

Bought this for my 5 year old. Exactly what I was wanting for her, cheap and easy to use but decent quality. The screen is quite dim, but it isn’t much of a problem as she can play on it before bed and it doesn’t over stimulate her.
I did initially forget about the lock button to stop the image being erased, so I thought it wasn’t going to clear the screen. However it does clear when you remember to unlock it.
Happy with this – very likely to buy these as gifts for other youngsters. Would also work well as a way to write a shopping list/leave notes etc.

My 3 year old loves writing on it. The pen keeps on missing as it is not attached to the tablet and it is small. Does its job. Good for the price.

    Good value for money

I got this for a 6 year old and she absolutely loves it. So good to take on car journeys. Great for the imagination and also made home learning much more fun as she wanted to write on this rather than with a normal pen and paper. It has even encouraged her to want to learn her spellings and for me to test her on new words as she just wants to write on this.

Very easy to use communication tool. I bought it for my 15 year old who has SEN. She struggles to communicate her needs to staff so I wanted to try something simple and lightweight that she can carry (which she needs due to spinal complications) but that would be fun for her to encourage her to express more or write down information she has been given. It’s a very simple device but works very well for the reason we bought it. Would highly recommend.

Seems to work well, only downside as stated in other reviews. It’s not bright. The advertisement images have definitely been enhanced quite a bit. Still does as what it’s supposed to do

Big screen allows more writing space – useful for my older kid as she keeps drawing a lot. The file folder that comes is useful to pack away when not being used. An additional pen helps both my kids to use at the same time and play together. Could be a bit more sturdy but sleek is nice.

5.0 out of 5 stars More writing space.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAs a mum to a toddler who is 2 and a half I have started to try and develop his fine motor and pre writing skills. This writing pad has now become a firm favourite activity! It is so simple to use and the best part it’s mess free and can be taken along on car journeys and when out and about and will provide lengthy entertainment without the fear of them becoming covered in colours. The rainbow screen is attractive and enhances creativity. I have seen other writing pads which were a lot smaller for the same price so this is very cost effective. I have no hesitation in recommending this product to future buyers.

Amazing to promote writing and fine motor skills

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersMy 2 year old son loves this little doodle pad, very easy to use , he loves to scribble and press the button for it to get erased (his favourite part!!) There is a lock on the side of the pad, once locked it means that even though you press the button the board isnt wiped (took me a few minutes to figure that out lol) If you lose the pen its not matter as the pad can be used with any blunt item so thats great as well!!. Different sections of the pad once drawn on is a different color, so even though you dont have different colour pens its designed such that there is no need for it.

Very lightweight and hours of fun for the little one. When my son isnt using it you can use it for lists and and to do’s so its practical for all ages.

Great fun. One button for screen wipe. Can lock in your creativity by the flick of a button which will prevent your art from being erased. Has a game on the back and a slot for the pen. Battery easy to change.

Very pleased with this, it is a great alternative to pens/crayons/paint which allows you to relax and not worry that your two year old will end up getting ink/paint on the sofa etc. as it is just a plastic tipped pen. It comes really well packaged in a flip wallet and with a spare pen which contributes to it looking and feeling more expensive than it is. It has also been stepped on a lot in our house with no ill effects so that is a bonus too.

The tablet was just as described, light weight and easy to use. I bought 2, one for each of my grandsons. They are a little young for them just now, but will be good for them when practising how to write letters and numbers and also for drawing. I had a go myself and it is good for the money. I had a boogie board I used a while back but it was more expensive and was a little heavier in weight, and only wrote in black, unlike this one which is multicoloured. Although you can’t write or draw in a specific colour the images come out with little bits if different colours which will appeal to children.

I can’t give this item high enough praise, it is fantastic value for money come in a lovely little wallet and is absolutely perfect for our son who is Autistic it really helps his sensory needs and the writing is so smooth but equally when he uses drawing to keep calm so and this really does that ….. Bonus is it’s lovely colours when writing and he can use it for doing homework too as he works out all of his math on here one sum at a time and then simply presses the button to move to the next sum.

Brilliant item, worth every penny so much so we’ve brought a back up one for the school to have for his fidget, sensory box !

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI bought this Writing Tablet last September. It was good until it was broken in March. I contacted Growup-EU and they kindly sent me a new replacement straight away. There seems to be a little difference in the design of the new model so it might last longer than the old one. Even though I still have some reservation about the longevity of the product, I gave 5 stars for the overall rating because of the great customer services.

Were a big hit at Xmas, lovely vibrant colours and lightweight to use. Though a few months in, 1 has faded somewhat (not sure batter or screen issue) and the other has quite a few marks on the screen. My 9 year old twins are not the most boisterous of kids, but equally have not taken great care such as putting them in cases etc. But all in I’d say good value for money & they still get used now (which is more than I can say for some of their more expensive toys.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersMy son asked for a drawing tablet from Santa Claus after seeing me drawing on my iPad. So this was the best closest alternative I found. He was really please d to see it on a Christmas Day and didn’t look disappointing in any way (it was my worry, because clearly in my opinion it is hard to compare it to the iPad with a stylus pen. I should say that my son is 3.5 years old. Happy baby – happy mama!
It comes with a stylish grey felt envelope to keep it in and two pens – great if one gets lost. You can easily erase a drawing pressing the “home” button.

You don’t have to press hard for it to work.
And its super light weight and portable.
Excellent. I got one like this a while ago. And it was naff. Like seriously bad. Barely marked the pad as you wrote let alone was colorful.

Golden Review Award: 41 From Our UsersPhew! For a while we thought these were faulty on our twin daughters’ birthday. Unwrapped, opened, used straight away. Uh-oh? Why isn’t the delete button working? Cue panic, irritation, anger, frantic search for small screw driver to undo the worlds smallest screw to check the battery, before a new search for alternative products for same day delivery, re-reading of product reviews to understand how we could have been duped into buying something that doesn’t work, looking at other products to compare and then: BINGO! You have to use the switch on the side which prevents accidental deletion! Don’t make the same mistake we did. Ours DO work. The product photos do make them appear brighter than they are but the rainbow colours are clearly distinguishable and our two 8 y/o daughters could immediately use them as soon as they were unwrapped. They are lightweight and a good price – I’m actually thinking of buying one for myself to doodle on as I find it so relaxing. Highly recommended 🙂

They DO work - slide the unlock button!

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersI did not buy this with the intention of it turning into a toy for the children but they love it so much I’ve not really been able to use it for the notes I was planning on doing yet. It’s been great seeing them drawing and getting more creative. The device came with one pen attached to the device and a spare in the box, but the pen is not actually even needed. Our two kids have been having great success using the end of a finger, a little bit of pressure or a finger nail for finer details, in their sketching, and they’re really loving the instant response of the erase button. After the first few times I spent ages on a sketch only for a little sticky fingers to sneak in and erase the picture with an evil cackle led me to discover the ‘lock switch’ on the rear which locks-out the erase button and stops you losing your notes and pics, very handy! It comes with a felt pouch with a popper on too, however we’ve not actually needed to use the pouch yet as we’ve been keeping it out and using it.

As much fun for silly sketches as for household notes.

Golden Review Award: 43 From Our UsersI wasn’t exactly sure what to expect from this! But it works really well, kind of like a modern hi tech etch a sketch! You can use the pen supplied or any dull pointed object like a blunt pencil will work, no need to worry about losing the pen! The colours are quite vivid and bright even in low light. Great present for kids who love to draw!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product!

My 5 year old is due to start school in September, but he doesn’t like drawing or scribbling, so I am worried as his pre-writing skills are not developed enough. I bought him in the past sets of colored pencils, chalks and a board to draw on, different kinds of coloring pens, etc in order to make drawing more attractive for him, but he was still not interested. Then I started looking into something more modern and close to digital as I know kids nowadays like tablets like iPads. So I decided to buy this LCD writing tablet. It’s not as expensive as proper tablet, but mainly for writing on it. I am so happy to see my son is more interested in drawing than ever before. He tries to draw then likes to delete it with the button on the bottom. It’s very lightweight and I now take it with me everywhere as it doesn’t take much space but can replace pack of paper and coloring pencils. It also helps to keep his playroom tidy as no need to clean up used paper and pit away numbers of pencils. I definitely recommend this writing tablet to keep your little ones busy and to make them interested in drawing and to develop their pre-writing skills.

Very thin, very lightweight. Writing is easy to see, wouldn’t say it is bright but pleasant. Beyond easy to use, handy switch at the back so you can ‘lock’ it, prevents delete. Came with two pens and a case. Very pleased, saves paper 🙂
