This is a lovely set and was at great price on Amazon, very competitive with other sellers which made it great buy. Bought for a 10 year old who had great fun building it all, had to concentrate but did it all without help.

This was the cheapest I have seen this from any retailer and as we have been undecided up until then the additional saving swayed the sale! Great item that has great replayability due to the 3 in 1 aspect. Will build the ferris wheel first I think!!!

My Daughter loves the new fairground sets which are in a carnival style so a little bit brighter and more creative than the older fairground sets that she still has. This is the largest of the new carnival theme fairground sets with a whopping 974 parts and includes 4 minidolls; Andrea, Claire, Camila and Stella.

The rollercoaster has rabbit themed carriages for the minidolls to ride in and is set around the big top where the ladies can perform their magic tricks under the fabric roof. There is also a pendulum style ride, popcorn stand and huge pop up bunny from a top hat. The coaster requires push power just like the older version and of course you can play with the set by itself or add some of the other new carnival fair sets for an even bigger fair to play with.

A fantastic set and if I could give it more than 5 stars I definitely would.

This is one of those sets that do not require any accompanying toys (especially if you are intending it to be a gift) – it offers so much, building-wise and play-wise. It is not difficult to build but it still requires some effort and the details in it are adorable – the usual Lego touch with all the movable parts and the exciting little surprises.
It is an enjoyable time building it, it is a great time playing with it and you can keep it on display (if you have some space to spare), this should please your child immensely.

My daughters were thrilled with the set. The box is vibrant with all the illustration on it, colourful, and really shows off the product beautiful displayed on the front. Inside the box all the Lego elements (over 900 pcs) are separately packed in plastic bag all labelled and numbered so it’s easier to build them one by one. Also comes with instruction manual which shows on picture how to put it together. Brilliant quality as usually, very pretty, lovely colours great set for both boys and girls.
We had so much fun building it together, was not hard at all. Took some time, but that is the fun part of Lego building. Once the set was put together, my two daughters played with it for ages. They loved the little characters and had fun playing on the fairground. It is really interactive with the magic tricks and holographic stickers. We can’t wait to buy other Lego’s from this Friends series and add it together and build the biggest Lego carnival :).

What a fun set! For the amount of fun in this set it offers such good value. There is so much to do with lots of differing activities. The cool magic related builds are such fun in themselves and there is the actual play set itself like the Roller Coaster, rotating stage and pendulum, my kids love all the moving stuff.
The build itself wasn’t too challenging but fun none the less. We especially liked the big tops roof. Building the Roller Coaster was great fun too.
As always, such a good quality set with no quality control issues, all pieces and bricks supplied and all flawless. Brilliant connection between bricks.
The instructions manual is decent and simple to follow.

The Lego Friends 41685 is super interactive. The set contains 971 pieces but feels even bigger as it creates a magical funfair complete with a roller coaster. It comes with four mini-figures, which have a new vibrant look.

Once built, there are so many fun features to play with. The magic disappearing box is pretty special and my younger grandchildren were surprised by the little trick. The roller coaster is fantastic and is really fun to interact with. Overall, I would have to say that the build is enjoyable but also that the set is entertaining as it has so many movable functions.

Lego quality and all that but the price seems steep. The match of age for the set to the audience for the animation is, in my opinion, is a gap, and that won’t pull in demand (say, like the Ninjago or Minecraft).
In itself, it’s a fun build, makes a change from jigsaw puzzles, so that is some value. But in terms of a track and doll characters, there are a lot much cheaper toys out there, e.g. a certain well-known train and his mates.
A plus is, this does feel like a complete set, i.e. it’s a choice whether to buy more Friends or not, and it will work with standard Lego (only the figures are different – these are more naturalistic, Lego people are distinct). The girl who got this is happy.
A word of advice – go to the Lego website and download the e-manual for any future rebuilding should you misplace the original paper manual.

A lovely Lego Friend Fairground set. The colourway matches other sets in the “Friend” universe (Purple, turquoise, deep ink) so you can add it on to other sets you have to make a townscape (house, shop sets etc.) This set is the largest one as part of the Funfair range (there is also a helter skelter and big wheel set, a gyspy caravan set, an acrobat set and a set with other fairground games/stalls). This set is the centre piece of the Fair. You get a main central stand with turrets either end with a big top hat with a rabbit peeking out it. The fair ground also features a roller coaster – it is great fun to have the cars start at either end and see they crash in the centre, a double loop pendulum ride , popcorn stall in a turret , photo booth and a fabric roofed big top that hosts the show . There are also magic tricks included such as a box that makes a mini figure disappear and there are lots of accessories included such as juggling clubs , balloons and glow in the dark bricks . Four “Friends” figures are also included – they are all female figures. I think it would be better to have some male figures included. I dislike it being so heavily targetted and gendered for “girls.”

Makingt he lit and following the pictorail instructions is the “learning” part and when the set is finished there is the play. I think this set has quite a lot of play value – it’s different and is good for sharing play with one or two other children, so a sociable set. The set is for 8+. Certainly an 8 year old would be easily able to build it but I think an infant school (4/5 years +) age child (as long as they don’t like putting tiny things in their mouth, nose or ears) would be able to construct a lot of the set with some adult help ( a noce activity to do together) and would get more play value out of the set and for a longer time than an older child.
