This is a great alternative to the Apple Pencil with it being half the cost. Another benefit is the shape as it doesn’t roll off. Easy to use and set up and easy to charge. Would definitely recommend purchasing and using. I was a little nervous to buy as I didn’t think it would live up to the Apple version but I wasn’t disappointed and really happy with the purchase.
Present for my art loving daughter who is absolutely loving using this on my iPad. Worth noting that it requires a 4th gen or later iPad – which turned out to be an unexpected additional cost!
Logitech is good make and the pencil is very decent it just doesn’t stick to the side of iPad like the actual Apple Pencil but it’s saves you money
First of all, I’m not a serious drawer but I’ve been using this product over for 3 hours every day last 100 days. As I’m using a paper-like sheet on my iPad, the nib went dull so I bought a new 3rd party nib. Comfortable to hold. When the nub went dull, it sometimes lost the precision, but once I changed the new one, the issue was solved. This product does not include a nib changing tool, so if you are a bit clumsy you would like to buy a genuine Logitech nib, which includes the tool as well. But as you see on YouTube, you can change a nib with a paperclip, so I did not purchase nibs from Logitech.
One thing I would like to tell you is this product does not have a pressure control. I knew it was written in the description and I understood it, but now I would like to advise you if you would like to do drawing a bit serious, you do need it. In that case, you would like to check the other products. Otherwise this, I’m very satisfied with my purchase.
Wanted a pen to use for note taking on iPad mini and have since done some colouring too. Much cheaper than the Apple Pencil and does just what I want. Convenient that it charges with a lightning charger too.
I see why they call it a Crayon, it is a bit bigger than a Pencil, but it’s nice to use. The Pencil feels a lot more fragile.
Works instantly, easy to charge, fits in iPad case, great produc
I have the pencil 2 but was looking for something my kids could use with their pads.
Easy to charge using lightning cable and great for them to hold.
Works just as well as my pencil 2 and doesn’t require pairing, just pick up and go. Really really good
We bought this because it said the word ‘crayon’ in the title but it really isn’t so you can’t have fun defacing mum’s new wallpaper or those nicely distempered walls in granny’s outside loo on a frost morning.
Loved this snd great with my iPad Air.
Takes some practice to be neat though / my fault not the pencil. Recommended.
Bought for granddaughter to use on iPad. She loves it….
Great for notes and writing not pressure sensitive enough for drawing but you would have to buy the apple pen 2 for drawings. Good design stays on the desk no rolling off, dropped it twice so far so good! I use it daily for writing case notes, Nebo works well with it.
I’m very satisfied with this purchase. I just got an iPad Pro 11 inches 2021 and I was debating to buy the Apple Pencil 2nd generation, after seeing online a lot of different options I decided to go for the Logitech Crayon and I couldn’t be happier. I’m a university student and for note taking it’s superb! The tip is perfect and it feels very good while writing, it almost feels like soft. In the video I tried to show that the palm-rejection works perfectly. Definitely recommended!!
I brought this after buying an IPad Pro 11 (2021), as I was looking to save some penny’s and still get a good stylus for the IPad. It really good that this uses the same technology as the Apple own product, which means you almost get the same experience as using Apples product. The only shame is that it does charge off the IPad its self.
If you want to draw and need pressure sensitivity, this it not the device for you. General note taking, scribbling and doodling its great. Won’t roll around the desk, charges via a lightning socket under the cap. Palm rejection works great, so writing notes is simple. I’ve not worn out the tip yet, but I’m told that the Apple tips fit this nicely.
Was on a two day delivery by seller, as marked used very good but arrived early the next morning by tracked Royal Mail. Well packaged & excellent condition. Would never know it wasn’t brand new. The crayon paired with my IPad Pro 2021 M1 immediately, as it also did with my IPad mini. I only want it mainly for notes, so can’t comment on it’s drawing capabilities. I love the screenshot feature, as this can be iffy on the IPad Pro. Very happy & would definitely buy from this seller again.
It’s an amazing pen. Especially when using more then one iPad which is a big plus towards the original Apple pen. Also its very sturdy which is great. However, the little orange cap on top is flimsy and it broke off after two week of (no sitting in office) use.
There are plenty of technical reviews on this item so worth while checking it out before you buy. Got this at a good price on Amazon for under 40 so very happy with it.
This is amazing – I bought this for my dad, who is a maths teacher at a secondary school. Since lockdown, his school have been delivering online lessons (as well as teaching the children of key workers and disadvantaged/vulnerable kids in person in school) and have been considering delivering lessons via Microsoft Teams. He uses this stylus to write down the solutions to maths problems, sort of like using a whiteboard in class, and it’s so responsive!!
He has also been using it to complete past papers with worked solutions (which is infinitely better than writing them on paper, as they can be stored digitally instead of filling up folders on his desk).
You can write very well with it, the lines drawn with it are all very smooth and the palm rejection is perfect! If you need a stylus for an iPad and you don’t need things like pressure sensitivity, then this is the perfect alternative to the Apple pencil, and for 30 cheaper too!
This is a good alternative to the Apple Pencil.
It is easy to use and responsive even with a glass screen cover.
It’s battery life definitely isn’t as good as it makes out which is a little disappointing.
However I would be annoyed to pay so much for the 1st gen Apple Pencil.
It does what it needs to do and well.
Good luck finding cheap or easy to find spares in the uk!
I bought this as “used very good condition” for cheaper than the new price all that was wrong was the packaging had been damaged. It was a bargain. The intention for this pencil was, to use it with notability and notion apps, to help make my workflow more efficient and ditch the paper and pen. The crayon is brilliant! My fianc has the Apple Pencil so I had something to compare it to. Very responsive, ergonomic and easy to use. Extremely happy and a brilliant alternative. Highly recommended.
Awesome alternative to the over priced Apple Pencil. I use this on an iPad Pro and it works amazing. The palm rejection works perfectly and the accuracy is on point. My only gripe is there is no lightning cable supplied to charge it up, the iPad Pro is USB-C so i didn’t have a lightning cable and had to purchase one separately. For the price the cable should have been included.
If you just want to take notes and/or doodle/annotate then this Pencil is perfect. It works a treat with the iPad Pro 11. No faffing about trying to pair/install anything. Just power it up and away it goes.
Half the cost of the Apple Pencil (2nd Gen) and works fantastic.
Doesn’t do pressure sensitivity but for everyday business use/journaling it can’t be faulted.
I especially like the flat design. It’s very much like a carpenter’s pencil to hold so very comfy.
his review is a bit of a double edge sword , on the one hand this pen is fantastic and it does everything it says it does , but as an ipad user the things it dose not do made me just buy an apple pencil however if you can do without the touch sensitivity stuff its so worth the money and well made great produc
But I felt I had to when something is this good. Having bought a new iPad Mini 5, which is compatible with Apple Pencil 1, I thought the time had come to invest in a “proper” stylus. Up until now on my old iPad Mini 2, I had got by with note taking using a variety of effective, but cheap electrostatic tipped styluses. The Apple Pencil 1 was the obvious and advertised choice, but I took some time to see if there were some cheaper alternatives which did a similar, if not the same job. I’m glad I did. The crayon uses Apple pencil technology so using it on the iPad feels somehow “natural”. If there is lag it is indiscernible, to me at least and for note taking the script just flows and my terrible handwriting looks great. I was a bit unsure about the flat shape and grip, but it is actually extremely ergonomic and comfortable to hold. There is no pressure sensitivity (which comes with the Apple Pencil) but I don’t need that as I’m not an artist.
Basically the whole package is fantastic. Accurate, no lag, smooth results, ergonomic feel and 30 less than the Pencil.
Good palm rejection
Comfortable to hold, and light weight.
Can be held securely in the loop on the Logitech slim folio
Feels durable. I wouldn’t be afraid of dropping this pen.
When writing on a slippery glass screen, it can take some adjusting. However, I now find I can write quickly and neatly.
Doesn’t need pairing. (However it can only be used on certain models of iPad)
Quick to turn on and off.
Very accurate writing. Detects very smaller movements made with the pen tip, with no parallax, even with a 0.33mm glass screen protector.
