Majority Bowfell Bluetooth Sound Bar for TV | 100 Watts
Majority Bowfell Bluetooth Sound Bar for TV | 100 Watts Powerful 2.1 Stereo Sound | Soundbar for Gaming, TV, Football, World Cup, Movies and Music | Bluetooth, Optical, USB & AUX Playback
FIt for my firestick with monitor setup and also computer with good quality of sound. Just the minimum volume is still quite loud but it will be perfect for Bedroom TV usage!
Good for the price. Base is a bit limited but as good as expected for the price.
We’ve actually been using it as a Bluetooth speaker for the kitchen and outside during bbq’s etc.
Worked straight from the box and is small and smart. Great sound and useful big range of volume – useful for those quiet films! I needed a soundbar with optical input as my TV did not have a headphone socket. A great soundbar, wonderful full and clear sound. I would recommend it.
Sound quality is excellent for it’s price. Vast improvement to tv speakers. The puc about shows size comparison to a 50″ tv. Not the largest sound bar but for a tv is more than adequate.
Bought a new TV and wasn’t impressed with the sound quality. I’ve had a Majority soundbar before but not this model. I didn’t want a big soundbar so opted for this one. The set up is very easy and the sound is very impressive for the size of the thing. I use the Bluetooth option for listening to music from my phone. All in all impressed.
Hi! Really impressed with my Majority Bowfell!
I’m in my 60s and found it very easy to set up straight from the box .I have age related hearing loss and it really helps to able to position and adjust the soundbar to address this.
Great piece of gear at a remarkable price point, very impressive
I recently bought a 24″ TV to use in my Kitchen but because I have to wear Hearing Aids, I found that the sound from the built in Speakers was “offensively” tinny!!
I looked for a amall inexpensive Soundbar which appeared to fit the bill as looked at reviews on the product on Amazon’s site and other sites which in the main were good so I purchased the item which arrived the following day.
It was well packed and on unpacking the item, it looked and felt like a quality item including the Remote Control.
Initially, I connected the Soundbar to my TV via an Optical Cable (not supplied strangely enough) and after turning both TV and Soundbar on, I was very impressed with the Sound quality with NO TINNINESS!!
Out of the choice of the 3 no. outputs, I chose the “Rock” option which now makes my TV a pleasure to listen to!
I did eventually manage to pair the Soundbar to my TV via Bluetooth but it was a pain after connection as
after turning on both the TV and the Soundbar it was necessary to use the TV Remote to accept the Bluetooth connection and then use both Remotes to control the Sound!!
I changed back to the Optical Cable which requires no such action and I also get a visual indication of Volume Level using the Soundbar’s Remote.
To sum up – an execellent low priced Soundbar and I would recommend it!!!
Bought this for my parents living room which is a fair size. Plugged in and easy to set up and was blown away by how powerful and clear it is for the price and size. Be perfect for a small living room or bedroom set up.
100% would recommend for a cinema experience without the cost.
Works well. Sound quality I marked as 4* as you won’t get top quality from a small unit like this but nonetheless the quality is very good. Value for money is excellent.
Wanted something small but with some bass. Defintely impressed, connected via bluetooth. The remote is handy to adjust settings like bass, treble and includes other modes.
I was looking for a budget sound bar in a range of 50-60. Was a bit hesitant when I ordered this but saw the reviews and ratings. Most of the reviews were above 4 star and this sound bar doesn’t disappoint. The sound is crisp clear and loud. Very compact design. Doesn’t occupy much space. Sleek and elegant. Can be assembled DIY without any hastle. Very good bluetooth connectivity and the bass is good enough for covering the living room. Definitely recommend! Worth the price. And it’s local made in the UK.
I purchased the ‘Blowfell Plus sound system – a small sound bar and subwoofer for a very reasonable price. Another factor on buying was the headquarters of the company is in the UK and is not some large multi-national, media conglomerate.
Unfortunately, the first unit had a problem: An audio, high frequency sound came from the subwoofer, even when there was no input. It wasn’t loud and perhaps some may not notice or bother about it. I checked for ‘pick-up’ interference from any other electrical equipment and wiring nearby. I contacted ‘Majority’ via email and was very impressed with their speedy responses and suggestions. In the end, I returned it. I said I would by another, which sounds foolhardy, but to my surprise the second unit worked perfectly. I was expecting there to be an inherent fault in the electronic design or production of that particular model but, it was a ‘one off’ as no-one mentioned it in any reviews.
I wanted to use the sound system from two separate sources: my TV for Netflix and PVR for recordings. The TV because it loads Netflix much more quickly than from my PVR and also responds faster to the menus. But, the sound quality from the TV source is inferior to that of the PVR. I wanted to use a digital optical cable (fibre optic) connector, but I did not want to keep unplugging it from the TV to the PVR and vice versa, so I bought two optical connectors for under 4 each and an optical switching device (about 14). See photo. On this switching device is a manual switch but it is not needed because it automatically changes the sources to PVR or TV.
As the sound bar is directly under the TV, the orange LED which shows it is operating with the optical cables (there is also a blue LED for Bluetooth) is not distracting but to some who are fussy like me, it may be a little too bright. I cut a little square of black mesh to put over it and dim it. One more point. Perhaps the wire coming out from the subwoofer would be better coming out of the back of it rather than from its side.
For the price, it is extremely good and ideal for giving the sound more depth and quality than form the TV’s speakers. It comes with a small remote control. Some have said in reviews it is too small. Not at all, it is ideal for the number of functions, like the three choices of sound: Movie, Music and Speech. Other buttons are for pairing, altering bass/ treble and a number of other uses.
Overall, it has exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a reasonable priced sound system to improve the quality of the sound form my Smart TV – which I am pleased to say it has done and am glad I bought the second unit. The Majority website gives dimensions and what is included in the box.
I wanted a compact and cheap unit to enhance sound on my 32inch TV in a kitchen dining area to replace a defunct Orbitsound unit
I did find that in such a spacious area, the system was found lacking in depth so I moved it to my study some 16 x 9 ft where I hooked it to my 27inch Apple Mac – result – YES
Good sound and the subwoofer enhanced the bass over the wooden floor
Setup was easy using the audio cable. Bluetooth connection to my iPhone was a doddle
Conclusion – if expecting good results in a large room, the unit can be lacking – it is 100watts after all. However, when located in a smaller room as described, you would struggle to find anything better at the price
Would I recommend – YES!!
My experience with Majority has been flawless, from the price & next day delivery to a quick and easy setup I have been impressed each step of the way. I use a monitor with no internal speakers so must rely on connection to external audio outputs, previously I had used a cheaper 20w soundbar which was underwhelming in terms of volume and audio quality, there was no remote either, so I had to reach around to adjust volume and inputs which was very inconvenient due to the set up in my office. I am extremely limited in space so bigger soundbars are not an option, I did lots of research before upgrading to my Bowfell Plus, looking at reviews on various retailer websites and watching videos online, I saw lots of positive reviews on this model and others, plus knowing the company planting a tree for each purchase was a nice touch too and influenced me to make my purchase. A month into owning my Bowfell plus my consumption of media has improved drastically, I use the system for gaming, movies/TV and connecting to my work laptop, I find the remote a key part of this equipment as I can quickly switch between audio sources without having to touch the soundbar, which sits comfortably under my monitor. In terms of audio quality, I am literally blown away, for a small soundbar it packs a punch and the subwoofer with the option to increase or reduce bass and treble allows me to fine tune the output is a nice touch. I now feel more immersed in the media that I consume, whether it be a video game, movie, TV show or music via Bluetooth I can feel the quality through the outputs. The build quality of the item is also great, you can see that a lot of thought has gone into the design to fit such great audio quality into a small soundbar. Based on my experience as a new customer with Majority I would recommend their audio equipment and look forward to upgrading to the Sierra Plus when I have the space to do so!
Used this to attatch to my Samsung tv the size and sound are great, small enough so it doesnt get in the way off the tv controls but powerful enough to give good clear sound, also lip synchs with the screen and no lag
I bought the 2.1 system. I have it hooked up to my Samsung TV via Bluetooth and the sound (and bass) is excellent. Set up is quick and easy.
I have found the ‘Movie’ sound mode to be the best as it sounds fuller and has a brighter sound than the ‘music’ mode.
Music sounds excellent as do games and movies. There are lots of comments that state that the sound is
great for the money and I agree. However I would go further by saying the sound is excellent full stop. If this were a bose and I’d paid double I’d still be happy with the sound, so this is a real bargain. At full blast
it still sounds good and it is surprisingly loud.
Ultimately in terms of my set up I have found this to be a great little system with a big sound and I am thoroughly impressed and pleased I bought it.
(Observation – Connecting via Optical cable also works though as some others have pointed out there is a slight noise when flicking between sound modes, but it doesn’t impacting listening in any way. There is no noise when switching between modes on bluetooth.)
I bought this to use as a soundbar for our TV on our boat.
It’s got a good weight to it and the sound is excellent on aux in even on full volume
Some room for improvement:
It’s not as loud as I expected, it must be 50watts PMPO or some other weird way of measuring output, I’d say its the same as a Google home speaker or Amazon Alexa
I don’t know why they put the aux in on the side, and not at the back with all the other connections, I can’t tidy the wires out of sight.
Otherwise, a great neat, bit of kit with a nice sound. I’ll certainly look at their other products
I hope the wife can figure out how to use it, sigh……
Have recently bought two of these primarily for use with smart TVs and the sound is excellent and plenty of choice with connectivity. However using this to play Spotify over Bluetooth from my iPhone I’ve noticed the audio drops between songs even on an album so that the next song fades in and misses the start which is not good – a direct physical connection is fine. Otherwise I’d give this 5 stars.
For the money very good quality speech, and when switching TV to music channel bass kicks in with gusto. Only crit would be no visual proof of volumes on bass or treble, but for price range can’t complain.
Sound bar comes tiny, bass come huge compare, but both got it ultra deep sound’s, there are a lots of sound bar, but not with separate bass, and power at price 70 or less, and it really matter that it MAJORITY Branded ain’t not cheap sound or materials, opposite indeed!.
Really cannot dere to plug at full power w aux trough telly! Waiting for my optical cable not included (I’m afraid) that will push over quality w premium Spotify!
Had to connect with my tv using optical connector. Initial problems getting any sound at all. Had to look online for solution but once sorted sound is good quality
I’m not easy to please when it comes to audio — to me there’s no excuse for poor vision or sound. My main system (pic attached) is a 77inch LG C2 screen with Yamaha AV amp and Monitor Audio 7.1 speakers. My wife suggested that, for the Winter, we should save money and energy by hunkering down in the small front room instead of heating and lighting our big AV lounge.
Then she suggested we could “make it cosy with a little TV — you know, like a 24inch”. I nearly died, going into a state of shock.
Anyway, two days later I found myself putting up curtain rails over doorways to cut out the draughts to make our new mini-TV lounge “cosy”. I set up the newly purchased LG 24inch TV, lit the fire, closed the curtains and fell into another state of shock — the TV sounded like an old transistor radio. It was unbearable. She’d pushed me too far.
I ran to my laptop to look up external speakers that could help out and stumbled across Majority’s Bowfell Plus. I went for the Bowfell in the first instance for size — they would fit on the small TV table (also newly acquired). The reviews seemed good, the specs ticked the boxes, the design was unobtrusive and the price was, well, too good to be true. This was a package I could get away with, given our new economy drive. But I wasn’t entirely comfortable — I’m not used to shopping at this level.
Cut to “the unboxing”. I loved the packaging — it hinted at a quality way above its price tag. Everything unpacked very nicely, the assembly was simple and completed in seconds — literally (I’d also bought a .5m optical cable, which I’d recommend). The small soundbar was a perfect size to sit just in front to the TV and, frankly, went unnoticed by my wife when I revealed my handiwork. The sub connects with a mini-RCA (supplied) — the generous length of cable meant I could hide it away nicely.
Now the sound. One word: “wow”. It was so much better than my expectation. It was full and rounded and detailed. Speech was coherent and clear. The music on Strictly (great band) sounded like a speaker set costing much, much more. And the best thing? It made the TV “feel” so much bigger. I was like a child with a new toy. It really blew me away. I no longer felt compromised by our cutbacks.
Here’s an interesting thing: my wife said “so this cost roughly 60 quid. How much did THAT lot in the other room cost?! Don’t tell me”
I can’t praise this little package enough. I would expect to pay at least 3 times the price for a sound this good. It’s opened my eyes and changed my perceptions. This company will remain on my radar now — I’m really thrilled.
The quality of sounds is amazingly good, we have a large living area to cover so we were surprised by the power of the small speaker. Would recommend it to the other consumers.
Needed a new soundbar to replace one I’ve had for many years and wanted something not too expensive but would give good, clear dialogue from my TV as my hearing is not very good. I already have a Bowfell 50 watt soundbar that I use with an Amazon which gives good quality sound so I went for the Bowfell Plus model with 100 watt and subwoofer, was very reasonably priced and has a three year guarantee too.
Very easy to set up. I have set mine up connected to the TV with an optical lead so there are just three wires, one for the power, one for the sup-woofer and the optical lead to the TV all connected to the soundbar. All in all a very uncluttered design. The soundbar with the 2.1 channel speakers fits neatly under the TV with the subwoofer at the side.
Connecting bluetooth is easily done by using the pairing button on the remote. Have used to connect to the TV phone, Amazon Echo and PC, all worked without any problems. Switching between modes, optical, bluetooth and aux (for RCA/USB connections) is done through the remote as well, which can also be used to control playback when listening to playback through the USB connected MP3 player.
I wanted the soundbar particularly for listening to dialogue and this delivers just what I need with good clear sound without having the volume turned up high. It also has different modes for music and movies, I haven’t tried either much yet but there is a noticable difference between the three different modes.
This is my first time using a subwoofer, so didn’t know what quite to expect. I’m using the soundbar in a reasonable sized room, 5mtrs x 4 mtrs, at a fairly low volume and I have to say I am now noticing bass sounds, and sometimes even feeling them, I’ve never heard before. This is especially noticeable with background music in adverts.
Still playing around with the set up where best to place the subwoofer for the best effect but so far very pleased with my purchase.
I am so pleased I chose this product the construction, sound and the different methods of connection to your sound source are second to non 5 star product.
Aside from everything my 1st complain about this product is the bluetooth connection to my pc desktop which is poor compared with my soundbar jbl bluetooth 4.2 and also, the whitenoise from the 3.5mm jack in is quite audible 1 meter away from the soundbar.
Lastly, the annoying bright front led lights that you cant ignore since you are facing directly in front of it under the monitor. Aside from those mentioned it works and sounds
I’ve only had this speaker for one day, so not an in depth review.
This was bought mostly as a speaker replacement for small TVs and I’ve only connected it by AUX and Bluetooth so far.
AUX works great, with no lag. The sound is clear and the EQ modes do have a small effect.
Flat: as you would expect.
Rock: more bass.
Jazz: more treble.
I kept it on ‘Flat’ for everyday TV drama dialogue.
I have only tried the Bowfell connected to a TV by AUX because I wanted to use it to help my hard of hearing mother watch TV with the family.
I got a 3.5mm stereo splitter cable, plugged it into the TV headphone socket (mutes the TV) and split the signal to the Bowfell (for the family) and to my mothers wireless headphones.
Now we have independent volume control, with a remote that doesn’t affect my mothers listening volume.
The perfect solution for only 35.
Connecting by Bluetooth for playing music is simple.
The speaker appears after a scan as ‘Majority Bowfell’ and no codes are needed.
Again, sound was great but stereo separation isn’t massive (it’s only a comparatively small sound bar).
I used it with the ‘Flat’ EQ again and EQ’d from my smart phones’ music player.
It’s easily loud enough for most domestic settings, but don’t expect to PA a rave with it!
My first sound bar and I am very pleased.
I had tried a small Anker Soundcore initially, but the Bluetooth couldn’t be turned OFF when connected by AUX, and the constantly flashing blue ‘pairing’ light drove me crazy (sent it back).
No such problems with the Bowfell for only 5 more.
There is a different coloured light for each connection method, and Bluetooth is OFF in all other modes.
The AUX mode light is visible, but doesn’t flash, and is soon forgotten about.
But be aware that there is no onboard battery and the Bowfell can only be used when connected to the mains by the supplied PSU.
Purchased this modestly priced sound bar just out of general interest – it was destined for the TV in the main lounge or my Apple Mini / Benq monitor set-up in my bedroom, mainly used as a secondary TV. I first appearance everything looked good, it was well packed, and connected well enough. The bedroom option was the easiest to try, and there it has stayed.
On the initial listening test I really didn’t think it offered enough of an advantage over the existing Hisense main TV’s own speaker system. It has therefore stayed for the time being in my bedroom. A certainly gives a lift to the sound from the Mac Mini’s output.
When I get the time and inclination I will give it a go with the Hisense just to check it out – might end up getting a second sound bar!!
Summary: if you want to check out a well priced product, do so. There is nothing that I can say let’s it down – just don’t expect a real wow!
I have had this Soundbar now for a week before leaving this review but I must point out that I only use this Soundbar as a sleeping aid.
This Soundbar sits on a purpose purchased shelf the length of my headrest, my headrest being metal which enables me to safely attach a purpose sized shelf to my bed headrest the outerside but the shelf & Soundbar are the right sizes to give me that Gorgeous night time sleep musical aid.
This Majority Bowfell compact 2.1 Soundbar maybe small but for my ears and for what I use it for is brilliant. I love the sound quality so much, I am already considering the much longer Soundbar. If this small Majority soundbar sounds this good, how Fantastic is the bigger longer version gonna sound being it will be 20cm longer which will give that more spacious 3d effectiveness sound.
Being surrounded by night chill music from Amazon’s own Prime music app just adds to my night sleeping and that I need. Sorry but Amazon’s Prime music app does need a mention because that app holds some serious chilled sleeping music and I already have an enormous chill playlist.
My Personal opinion is just that, my perspective of this great Small but mighty Soundbar.
The Bass has great range at low volume
The mid range is a little to high
But the top is just about right.
Put the 3 together and You have a fantastic sounding Soundbar.
My Only gripe is the Voice that informs You what mode your in. Why oh why these Soundbar companies input them into these soundbars I have no idea. They’re loud and when your in bed starting to slip away, You jump out your skin as the Voice informs you Bluetooth has lost its connection.
What is the point of these information voices? At least give us the option to switch it on or off.
Now I use the auxiliary connection to connect my phone but when I am not using the music app, there’s a very loud humming electrical noise. This happens to All the Soundbars I have owned from various different soundbar makers.
Please please Soundbar creators take not of these very annoying issues.
I gave this Majority Bowfell compact 2.1 Soundbar 5 because this product really does deserve it according to my Personal preference.
FIt for my firestick with monitor setup and also computer with good quality of sound. Just the minimum volume is still quite loud but it will be perfect for Bedroom TV usage!

I bought it to hook up to my Virgin Media 360 TV box or my Sky Q TV box using the optical output and it works a treat.
Just be aware that if you want to use it for Bluetooth that it seems to only support one device at a time, which will be fine in most cases.
Sound quality is excellent for it’s price. Vast improvement to tv speakers. The puc about shows size comparison to a 50″ tv. Not the largest sound bar but for a tv is more than adequate.

love this unit fits my tv cabinet with great sound
Very easy to set up and connect to the TV. Sound is great, as is the movie setting. Incredible value for just over 60. Highly recommended.
Music sounds good through these on Bluetooth, decent little system for the price.
Great sound, which is the point. Compact and easy to connect – with an optical cable. They don’t cost much. Why wasn’t it supplied? Get one ASP.

Compact design and good sound, better quality when connected with a optical cable, noticed a lip sync delay when connected via Bluetooth.

I use this in my office/game room and it is quite impressive. Easy to install and setup with a wide variety of connections.
Sound is good and the subwoofer definitely adds another dimension of depth/punch/bass. Recommend getting the sub for the price.
3 year warrantee is another perk and with the current 10% discount available it is definitely very good value for money.
Waiting for my optical cable not included (I’m afraid) that will push over quality w premium Spotify!
well worth the money great sound quick to hook up to your tv
For the price it`s very good and outperforms most others apart from the way more expensive options
It took a while to figure out how to connect and setup on TV.
Great product. So cheap!
