Works for people 6 feet tall and under very nicely. I’m taller and 100kg so it’s not really up to the task for me.
Very impressed with Maru, They make quality swimming kit in lots of vibrant colours your children will love.
This float is thick and well made and looks like it will outlast my daughter’s swimming training.
I have used the buoy between my thighs and my feet. Good work out.
To be honest, the colour was the main selling point for me – at the pool I use, you can hire pull-buoys and I wanted it to be really obvious that this one was mine, and I wasn’t trying to steal a hired one.
The colour isn’t as pink as it looks in the photos. It’s more of a deep magenta. I don’t really care. It’s a swimming float, not a fashion statement.
As a float, it works really well. It’s made from five layers of foam, and deeper than most so it’s more bouyant. It perfectly offsets the weight of my legs so I can focus on my arm stroke. It fits well between my thighs too, so I can tumble-turn without it moving. It might only be a float, but little things can make a big difference, and I really prefer this one to any other I’ve used.
Because it’s so bouyant, I’ve found I can also put it under my neck like a pillow and do backstroke legs only.
I’m bound to leave this pull-buoy at the pool one day, or someone will nick it. If either of those happen, I will definitely buy another one.
Getting back into swimming post knee surgery, this was fantastic. Easy to grip, dries well, don’t get it mixed up with anyone else’s due to colour!
Used twice a week at swimming club, does what it’s meant to do perfectly
Exactly what you’d expect. Great for working on arm technique and pretty unique at my local pool, so no confusion over which buoy belongs to me.
Good quality and feels indestructible. Fits nicely and gives superb floatation performance. Exactly what I wanted from a pull buoy
Got this for learning front crawl and it’s been great. Can work on arms without having to worry about keeping legs up at the same time. Works a treat 🙂
My 8 year old uses this and swims really well with it. Gives her a lot of confidence
Did exactly what it said on the tin. Worked as expected
Good quality product which should last the test if time. Excellent for perfecting your stroke.
Great float to help with rehabilitation from my knee operation. Lightweight and I will continue to use after recovery with full stroke swimming.
This is brilliant to help give you a harder swim on your arms. Love the colour and does exactly what it’s meant to do
Very lightweight but stayed put while swimming. It was great for swimming whilst recovering from a sprained ankle.
Not had long to discuss durability, but it feels well made and I presume it will last a long time. The pandemic prevented me using as much as I would have hoped – it is slightly of the smaller size and fits in my bag well. The colour is great and it fits between my thighs well…
Doesn’t give the amount of floatation I needed, so bought a bigger one. I am 15 stone, so a smaller person may be ok with it.
So glad I bought this one. I’ve used others and given up on them because of chaffing or because I’m held too high in the water giving me backache. The foam is very smooth and doesn’t chaff even though I swim a mile three times a week. I find this holds me in the perfect position for front crawl and agree with other reviewers that you do not need the over-buoyancy of an adult float if you are a fairly small female. As a guide, I’m 5’4 and just under 9st and find it perfect.
I wondered what you did with these things. Now I am swim training I use this for all sorts. Traditionally pop between the thighs aids with thoracic rotation. Have seen the difference in 3 sessions. I also use it as a float out front when kicking with fins. Swimming is getting much better with technique improvements.
his is just right to continue with my leg kicks while returning to fitness as a 100k man it is hard to find a float that uses weight as a guide -I took a chance and it is just righ
Very colouruful and easy to spot this Pull Buoy is shaped so that it is easy grip to allowing you to concentrate on your stroke and technique without fear of the Pull buoy slipping loose.
Love it – it’s really good to isolate your arms and only worry about 50% of the stroke. I paired this with the board they also sell and it has really helped my technique and breathing.
Both are good quality and I can recommend.
Highly questionable colour cominbation, but my kids love it! Quality excellent. This thing will, I think, last and last.
Have to buy another one to stop the kids fighting over it!
A really, really good value swimming aid.
Purchased for my daughter who swims four times a week at club level. Does exactly what you would hope and is wearing very well after heavy use. I like the bright colours and thankfully just now she is the only one at her club with this particular one, so it’s easy to retrieve at the end of swimming should she leave it lying!
Maru products are always hard wearing and good quality. Would highly recommend.
