I use this for Hip flexor raises and it can hold a 7.5kg dumbell. So far had no problems. I also use it for solo tib raises.
I was part of a ladies only work out group, and because of an injury, they had me doing a lot of donkey kicks. However, I found they felt pointless. So I got these and added a small dumb bell, and my work outs instantly felt like work again. This is allowing me to do some simpler exercises that don’t aggravate my injury, but with that little bit of extra resistance that I needed
Nicely made bit of kit. All elements feel really well made and durable. It’s really easy to put on. The velcro fastening is super secure and the belt with attachment is easy to wrap around even a small dumbbell such as my little 1.5kg weights pictured.
It’s a super little bit of kit which is great for adding to the home gym. It also has hooks on the back of the ankle which you can attach to resistance bands or the like for even more exercises. Great stuff.
This strap really works well and allows me to easily, comfortably and safely attach a dumbbell as described. But 16 is possibly a tad expensive even if I confirm that it is well made
This is a great alternative to expensive gym memberships. I love that I don’t have to worry about wasting money on equipment I won’t use. I can also do my workouts anywhere with this, and that saves me even more money. This is a great, affordable option to get in shape.
This is a must-have for any physical fitness enthusiast. It is the perfect way to hold your dumbbells while performing intense leg exercises. The monkey-feet on the ends of the strap keep your hands free for other things like balancing. I love that I can use this for a variety of exercises and it is machine-compatible.
This product is really helpful for me. I have a lot of leg workouts and I find it difficult to keep my balance and my dumbbells in my hands while exercising. This product allows me to do my leg workouts without worrying about holding onto my dumbbells and holding my balance. I like that this product is adjustable in order to fit different sized calves. I like that I can use it with any cable machine. Not only is this a great product, it is also really affordable.
Makes working out even easier
Super comfy easy to use
Would highly recommend
Been using these and it’s nice to be able to add a bit of weight to simple excersises. Bit if a pain that’s there’s only one and you have to keep switching ove
This is such a great addition to gym equipment whether you workout at home or the gym and much better than ankle weights since you can very quickly move up in weights but anything above 1kg gets pricey quick.
It took a bit of trying to figure out the best way to attach the weight, since the instruction video only showed fastening the straps, but making an X over the weight, bringing the straps back to the front of the foot and then fastening makes the weight pretty secure feeling (wearing shoes is a must though or it won’t be secure and wobble around).
The padding on the ankle strap is good and prevents anything cutting into the skin, there is also a metal loop on the back so you could double these to use on cable machines/bands or even use them as weight lifting straps.
A very great and versatile product, but probably best to buy 2x to save time swapping feet. Highly recommend if you want to save money and maximize results.
So… this is a very cheap alternative to a monkey-foot dumbbell holder. For reference, the official plastic money foot costs well over 120 to have shipped into the UK.
When first opening this up, I was a little disappointed to see that essentially, it’s just a strap with a buckle on it. My disappointment stemmed from my doubts this would actually hold a dumbbell in place. However, I have to say, this has done a really good job and proven itself a solid budget solution. I’ve used up to 15kg dumbbells on this and it has help rock solid.
So, this strap has been designed to loop around your foot in a way that you can attach a dumbbell to the base of your foot. This allows you to do some quite obscure single-leg exercises; especially if you don’t have access to machines. These include hip flexor raises, donkey kicks, leg extensions, leg curls, straight leg raises, lateral raises and much more besides!
Although I had my doubts, this has proven to be a really useful tool that despite its small size and extremely basic appearance, performs excellently.
Good product. It only includes one unit. Very useful for home workouts. Good quality. It says in place.
The Mrs is keen on going to the gym and home workouts so she’s always happy to have new equipment, especially if it allows her to do a selection of workouts.
When these arrive you look at it with a puzzled face, but once you realise the padded bit goes around the ankle and the strap hanging down are for strapping a dumbbell to your foot it makes sense and works well.
These are made form Nylon and are good and strong. the straps hold tight to your ankle and the weight. They suggest they can hold up to 50 lbs of weight which is impressive but neither of us had a large enough weight to test this much. we did test using a 10kg (22lbs) weight and it held up well, holding the weight steady. The padding also avoids any rubbing to.
good quality product. thank you for reading my review. i hope you found it useful
It feels well made and the velcro is strong. It’s an odd belted thing I’d not known existed but instructions after included so you know how to tie everything up.
I used these with my dumbbell at home to do some leg raises and had no issues. Normally I would Jane gone barefoot but due to the way this is set up it might be up so it’s best to have some trainers on during your workout to prevent injury. Not bad. I like it! Just make sure you tie everything up securely!
