I recently purchased the MSI G272C gaming monitor and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with my investment.
First off, the design of the monitor is sleek and modern, with slim bezels and a stand that allows for height adjustment, swiveling, and tilting. The build quality feels sturdy and durable, and the monitor itself is fairly lightweight, making it easy to move around if needed.
In terms of performance, the MSI G272C exceeded my expectations. The 27-inch display is a VA panel with a 1440p resolution, and the colors are vibrant and accurate. The monitor also boasts a 165Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time, which makes it ideal for gaming. I tested out several games on the monitor, including fast-paced first-person shooters and more visually stunning games, and the G272C handled them all with ease. The monitor’s FreeSync technology also helped eliminate screen tearing and stuttering, which was a nice touch.
One feature that I particularly enjoyed was the customizable RGB lighting on the back of the monitor. It allowed me to create a personalized ambiance in my gaming setup, and the lighting effects were impressive without being distracting.
Overall, I highly recommend the MSI G272C gaming monitor to any gamer looking for a high-quality display. The design is sleek and modern, the performance is excellent, and the customizable RGB lighting is a fun and unique feature. If you’re in the market for a new gaming monitor, the MSI G272C is definitely worth the investment. Especially for the price in which I got it for 209.00 its a very good price for how good it is.
I am very pleased with this product. The mount was easy to assemble and the cross hair options for gaming is fantastic too!
Paired this with my RTX 3070 and it looks beautiful. If you can get this monitor while it is on sale, I wouldn’t hesitate. Brightness is more than adequate. Great for movies and gaming, text is easy to read. Picked up for 250 while on sale.
My Grandson loves his new Monitor, i got him for Christmas. I cannot give much of a review as i only seen it for a brieftime on Christmas day.
LOVE MY NEW MONITOR! i been for ages using my big tv i bought a desk and chair with this and have my own gamming corner very happy game
love these screen, refresh rate is beautiful, colours are rich and the customizable settings are easy to use with the out of sight button on the rear of the screen, these are light to move around and just look gorgeous
I would love if it had built in speakers! It’s not a problem as I have purchased separate speakers. I really wanted a curved monitor and I’m happy I bought this one. Picture is really nice and I love all the settings that come with this monitor. Can suit to everyone’s needs just by pressing a multi function button!
Very well made monitor sturdy. I purchased two of these monitors for my new setup and I think they are fantastic great graphics and colours.
Amazing having a high refresh rate monitor. Only gripe is the stand – it takes up a lot of real estate on the desk, and the bottom is sharp so has marked the paint. Not as good for smaller spaces without a wall mou
his is 60hz not the adviertised 75hz, apart from that its a good monitor. should be maybe be 30/40 cheaper as the hz is wrong.
The height didnt mention what it would be with stand so was a we bit taller than i measured
To be honest i didn’t expect to be that good, im really sodify about it… Im using it for my xbox one and it works perfectly and great graphics… Im also using it to watch movies but unfortunatly have some dellay from video audio(im using an hdmi to ios converter) the monitor is coming by default with 60hz and you can change it only when you connect on your pc … This is something i discover and none saing it in the comments
I brought two of these monitors
They arrive in a branded box, on opening your meet with a well made lightweight curved monitor, that feels a little plastic, however this is an great entry level gaming monitor. In the box is the monitor, stand and hdmi cable (which is pretty short). I did not use the stands i was mounting mine on arms.
The MSI Optix G27C6 is good for gaming. It has features most gamers want, like a 165Hz max refresh rate, which can only be achieved using a display port cable (my personnel choose) FreeSync support, and G-SYNC compatibility. Input lag is really low, but the response time can be slow, resulting sometimes in blurry motion. It’s a good choice for dark room gaming thanks to its high contrast ratio, but there’s no way to dim the monitor.
The monitor can be controlled with a small joystick feature on the rear right bottom side near power switch.
Over all they are good monitors im happy to recommend
I Picked this 27″ 1440p curved monitor when it was on “sale”. I’ve been using it for a couple of months now, primarily for gaming using custom settings while achieving high frame rates, my i9 9900k and 3080 putting in the work 🙂 picture quality is great, colours are good, it was cheap and I was in the market for a new monitor.
While using the monitor I have noticed some ghosting in titles such as Sea of Thieves and dying light 2, ghosting is less noticible in games like call of duty, halo or destiny, probably less noticible because in those titles I’m normally running at the 165hz refresh rate.
In my honest opinion while I like the monitor I wish I had grabbed an IPS panel instead of a curved VA.
Settings I’m using-
Game mode – Fps
Night vision – Normal
Response Time – Fastest
Pro mode – Cinema
HDCR – On
Image enhancement – Weak
For the price this is a great buy. 27″ combined with 1440p Resolution means this panel has great pixel density. The monitor does need a bit of tinkering in the settings to get the image to look crisp and have very minimal ghosting though. I was sceptical about getting a curved monitor but it’s not too much and looks fantastic and is a great experience to game on. The stand isn’t too good it only has tilt so a Vesa wall/desk mount is recommended if you want adjustability, also the cables that come with it are questionable so getting a Vesa certified DP or HDMI cable is a must.
Out the box the ghosting is horrendous in games with a dark gritty environment, the bright/colourful pixels are very responsive where as browns, blacks and greys are very sluggish making ghosting very prominent there is a easy way to fix this issue. turn the refresh rate from fast/fastest to normal and turn on night vision mode ( I use the strong setting) then make a custom user profile to make the image match your needs. (brightness, sharpening, contrast etc) Once you follow these steps you will be hard pressed to notice any ghosting.
One other thing to note is that unfortunately at the time of writing this review this monitor is not currently G-sync compatible and you will get flickering while using Freesync with a Nvidia GPU. This could change soon however as one of the models below this recently got G-sync compatibility through GeForce drivers.
All in all if you’re looking for a cheap 1440p monitor with a high refresh rate and decent image quality and you don’t care about fancy stuff like HDR I’d recommend this little gem.
Just a quick update (July 2022), 8 month since purchased and everything is still rosy (probably tempting fate here), no problems so far and it seems changing the fuse from 10 Amp to 3 Amp has had no affect apart from reducing any risk of fire, I’m still happy with it and would recommend it.

It’s not the best quality screen out there but it’s doing ok for me, I’m not a gamer so I don’t need all the bells and whistles and high speed refresh rates, I do a bit of programming, watch videos and do a bit of internet browsing so it’s plenty good enough for what I need.
I’m not sure why but there was a 10 amp fuse in the mains plug, the power supply says 1.5 amp max input and 3.42 amp max output so 10 amp is way over the top, I’ve swapped it out for a 3 amp and everything seems to be okay so far (if the 3 amp blows I’ll swap it for a 5 amp).
I didn’t realise it was a curved screen until I unboxed it, I must have been too eager to buy and obviously didn’t read all the spec, and although I had never seen a curved screen in the flesh (so to speak) and they have never really appealed to me, I was quite pleasantly surprised by it.
My old monitor was 24″ and this being 32″ it seems twice the size so it’s a lot better as I can have more windows open at the same time (side by side instead of on top of each other) and now I can see everything at once without having to keep swapping in/out windows.
All in all I’m quite happy with it, if for any reason anything changes that alters my opinion of it rest assured I’ll update this review.
