Night Vision & CEC Profiles
MSI Night Vision, a smart black tuner, can enhance crucial details and provide a glimmer of light during the darkest hours.
HDMI CEC Profile Sync supports multiple devices (PC, Mac, console, mobile, or laptop) and can automatically detect device settings.
Less Blue Light
MSI monitors are optimized to produce less blue light, so that users view predominantly white backgrounds (search engines, online games, Windows apps) for longer periods of time without having to suffer unnecessary eye-strain.
Anti-Flicker Technology
MSI Anti-Flicker technology provides a superior viewing experience by reducing the amount of flicker, unlike generic monitors that typically display with a flicker-rate of about 200-times* per second.
*Although unnoticeable to the naked eye, this can cause fatigue over time.
Frameless Design
The monitor’s frame employs a super narrow bezel along the side edges, which is ideal for multi-monitor systems*.
*Note: Assuming that any additional monitors also feature a narrow bezel design.

This monitor is 177hz on Display Port! And 165hz HDMI.
Many reviews on here say this isn’t 177hz and only 165hzthese reviews are false people need to read the product, this monitor runs 177hz on display port (overclocked) as per the specification and 165hz via HDMI.
The monitor can be used for 120hz @1440p on ps5 and Xbox Series X as well.
This is a fantastic monitor for the price (i.e. without spending 500+)
I can run games at 200fps + (I.e beyond the 177hz DP and 165hz HDMI) with no ghosting or screen tearing whatsoever!
The monitor supports G SYNC and Freesync and has its own adaptive sync built in (turn this setting off if you want GSync or FreeSync to run via in game settings).
I have had this monitor 6+ months and it’s perfect for 1440p gaming on Ultra, games like spiderman really
Pop, overall great monitor and would recommend!
The stand is really sturdy (than U shape stands) and the monitor feels solid!
Only note is there is no usb port, however to get sound for example just use a USB soundbar into the PC and works perfect or headsets
Had all the specs I wanted at a much more reasonable price that competitors – purchased two for a dual monitor set up.
Both work perfectly – great colour, contrast and refresh rate and suits my set up wonderfully for 1440p gaming. Quality appears solid. The monitor stands that come included are nice and hefty. No issues with any dead pixels or the IPS panel as a whole. Very happy with my purchase.
Has anyone managed to tweak with the settings?
Been playing on fps mode but aging all Green colours are now dark and dingy but plays very well , tried racing so colours pop but then feel it’s not as smooth , is there anyone out there with decent setting of monitor for fps games ?
great monitor and a very good price ,the picture quality is also great for what ever you are doing on your compute
The Best 1080P gaming monitor on the market for 110
yes the FPS is low at 75Hz but the quality of the picture is unbeatable i use this as a secondary monitor on my PC setup my main monitor is MSI 1440p 165Hz putting all all honesty you cannot tell the difference with the picture quality between my main one what cost 500 to this one that only cost 110
10/10 would recommend
I’ve had the monitor for a year now and I can say that it’s done me no wrong! First of all, the picture is nice and sharp with amazing quality, although it doesn’t come with speakers the headphone port is perfectly compatible with some I had lying around- and they work fantastically together- no delay or anything.
The stand feels robust and I never worried about it falling over or anything. The menu and the button is perhaps the best part, it’s tactile, clicky and responsive. The auto switching between inputs is fast, the monitor turns on fast, I truly cannot fault it!
For reference I’ve I use a PS4 slim and Nintendo switch
I absolutely love this monitor, I’ve had it for a while now and have had no issues whatsoever. The picture quality is superb, the colour is superb, and its perfect for gaming.
It’s a pretty good monitor for the price. There are some interesting visual presets for a variety of games however they all seem to be at extreme ends of the spectrums.
There aren’t many options outside of the presets to allow you to customize the monitor. Colour Saturation adjustments for example is not an option (there are software workarounds).
I don’t want to put anyone off the monitor as it is a pretty solid choice, the best I could find in the price range but it is lacking in a few areas where I expected more options.
Very fast delivery and product was as expected. Definetly recommend highly this monitor anyone who is into online gaming GG by Amazon Prime Thanks a million !!
Bought this because I was playing on a 49” TV and needed a change for the new MW2. Game feels really fresh running at 120Hz on the Series X. Definitely recommend if you’re trying to improve your gameplay.
The monitor is light enough, the colors are saturated, easy control with a joystick. If you look closely, you can see the pixels, but the monitor is large enough to put it on the edge of the table and you can see everything.
Easy set up ( attaching base to screen )
Easy to use and switch off when needed.
No issues with screen bleeding or dark marks in the corners.
Great response times and great for a gaming set up.
I bought two for my setup and it fits well with it.
I needed a 2nd screen alongside my Alienware 38″ 3840×1600 gaming monitor to use for other things whilst gaming. Very happy. Picture quality is outstanding and it looks really nice. Happy chappy.
Bought for a new gaming PC build. Coming from my old cheap 1080p 60Hz monitor it feels incredible. Not sure how it would stack up against other monitors in the same price range with similar specs but I’ve had no issues with any defects like dead pixels, it performs exactly as it says it should and it looks great so I’m happy
Genuinely brilliant panel, colour reproduction is absolutely stunning, auto HDR really pops out, along with a solid uplift in SDR, and excellent uplift on Linux too. Went for the 4k variant to complement my RTX 3080. Not an OLED, not going to get those insane blacks, but very, very good. Backlight bleed is negligible. No dead or stuck pixels. The only caveat is the bezel-less design isn’t quite bezel-less, the outer perimeter of the panel is non-operative, which leaves an approx 7-8mm bezel including this. Great monitor, worth every penny. If you’re on the edge and coming from non-hdr land, don’t be and be wowed, thank me later.
I got it for only 230 so 1440p, 165hz, IPS for that price is very good. But the stand is disappointing. You can only slightly swivel up and down. You can’t move the screen up/down and you can’t rotate it left/right.
Of course that’s described in the product description but still not great.
I bought this product recently and am just happy to have it, has been easy to set up, the materials show the quality, and the screen has vivid colors, definitely, the right decision was made with this monitor, any issues.
This monitor is years ahead of my 144Hz / 1080p previous MSI monitor. It is much more clear when in fast paced situations with less motion blur. The jump from 1080p to 1440p is instantly noticeable, there is much more screen real estate. 144Hz to165Hz was less noticeable but due to my old monitor being a TN (this is a fast IPS) I could instantly notice the clarity and colour benefits. I would recommend this monitor with anyone looking to get a decent monitor without costing the earth. The only downsides are the poor contrast ratio, and the fact that to harness the full power of this monitor (165Hz / 1440p on newer titles), you need a beefy graphics card.
I bought 2 of these for my new setup, they are big, bright and responsive. Have a nice even backlight and no dead pixels on either of them. The colours are vibrant and the contrast is quite good.
Overall I’m really happy with them, especially at the price I got them.
Really good monitor however mine has collected a dead pixel in the bottom right of the screen before even a month of owning it. Other than that really good!
We needed a pair of new monitors for my business MAC mini and my sons gaming PC. We had a good experience of MSI kit already (keyboards, mice etc), so I was looking to buy for a while but couldn’t reach to full price. A flash sale solved the price so jumped at the chance. No disappointment so far, just like all our MSI gear. Fully plug & play, no setup issues, crisp, clear image and excellent colour. My son had high expectations and was sceptical being a seasoned gamer but loves the change. It’s a more than adequate mid-speed monito
I bought this for my PS4/sometimes switch it to PC and future proofed it for when I eventually get a PS5 and it’s safe to say I am not disappointed. It has such a premium feel to it and the bezels are so thin which is great. The responsiveness is exactly what it says on the tin (1ms , very good) and have had no complaints in that sense but my only 1 minor complaint is that you can see the pixels on the text whilst gaming up close (like less than a meter or so) since it only has 92 ppi on a 27 inch monitor in 1080p but that’s just a me thing. Gaming picture quality is amazing honestly and the IPS panel makes it even bette
I use this as my second monitor and it does me really well, the only issue that I have is that I get temporary ghosting when leaving bright static images on the screen for a long period of time. However this clears when it comes round to the next time that I am using it.
i bought the monitor due to me lacking a low response input and high refresh rate. this monitor is the best you can get for the money and blows my tv at the water. do think just buy, it comes really well packed so it will not come smashed. also you will need a cross head screw driver and a code for the delivery driver. you need a code due to the high price, this is to confirm that you bought the monitor.
Very good product and very impressed with the screen. The only downsides is the lack of a height adjustable stand and speakers.
However coming from someone that owns much more expensive and higher resolution screens, this has really impressed me for the price.
TL;DR Get a smaller monitor or get the 1440p version of this monitor.
The monitor surprised me with its size, especially as it’s my first monitor of this type. It takes up quite a bit of desk space, as the stand is quite wide and has a lot of depth to it. The monitor is built extremely well and has survived 3 drops (thanks to my dog..) and has no noticable defects. The 144hz is 100% noticeable and is a massive jump if you’re coming from a 60hz display. From gaming to just scrolling through webpages you can notice the difference.
But, and it’s a big but, the screen is just a bit too big for 1080p. Don’t get me wrong; it’s 100% usable and you definitely get used to it, but in the first few hours you can definitely see the pixels, especially in desktop icons and text. There’s also some noticeable banding, especially with large screen-wide gradients.
I doubt you will find a better 1440p monitor at this price.
PROs- GSYNC right out of the box. If you have never gamed with it before, the difference in image smoothness in fast paced first person shooters is staggering.
No dead pixels.
Color representation is decent. Not on par with higher quality panels, but the color range is good enough for all gaming, though I wouldn’t do professional color work with it.
Minimal light bleed. Maybe I won the lottery, but my light bleed is low and uniform making it look more intentional than anything. Completely unnoticed when gaming. If you play horror survival games with lots of blacks, the deepest blacks are more purple at edges.
CONS- no USB support on monitor. I wasn’t expecting it, but just one would have made all the difference.
Stand leaves something to be desired. But again, I knew this going into it. If tilt control only is going to bother you, spend an additional 30 dollars.
Great value for the money for a 1080P monitor! Picture quality is on point with sone nice nifty little features which (with a little playing around) can majorly enhance the image quality significantly. Image enhancement is the key, when used on lower settings I find it makes a massive difference to visual quality (although, for me it looks very artificial on anything above low settings).
No dead pixels on arrival (a common issue I’ve had with previous delivery of monitors) and so far so great! Nothing bad to say so far! Very pleased with simple but stylish, borderless look. The settings can be a bit fidgety due to the control method for navigating being a little over sensitive, but other than that I’m very happy with this product.
I have been using this monitor since the end of November 2021 and since using it with my PS5 I have loved every minute. The quality is great especially when playing games like Call of Duty Vanguard at 120hz and even on games that are only on 60hz. I have even considered buying a gaming PC to use with the monitor it has been that good.
The stand feels nice and sturdy, however if you want the monitor flush against a back wall, it is best to wall mount it which I am considering because with the stand fully against the wall, the monitor screen comes out 20cm from the wall.
Other than that I couldn’t think of any issues with the monitor, for the quality I got at the price I paid which was 169 I think it was a bargain!
No regrets
It’s cheap, you get what you pay for. In my case I just wanted a 2nd monitor for side tasks and this monitor is great for that purpose considering the price.
The plastic aren’t great, I’ve mounted it on a monitor arm and whenever I move the monitor, I could feel the plastic attached to the VESA mount bending. I’ve ended up manipulating the monitor arm directly in order to avoid breaking it.
Talking about the VESA mount, 1 screw slot wasn’t properly cleared, it had a piece of plastic blocking the way.
It came with 1 dead pixel. Had it been my main, I would have definitely sent it back but as I said it’s a side monitor so it doesn’t bother me that much.
As for the picture quality, an IPS for that price, it’s pretty good.
This was bought on the 29th of may and a very nice monitor to play on but as far as quality of use i have to say i am let down as the screen is already getting defects with a line at the bottom which at first i blamed on software but checked my software/windows updates etc and also checked my GPU for any issues and the only thing left is the screen its self is starting to die, it has a blue or red line turning up till it “warms” up a little then it starts to go away but by no means am i happy with this product doing this after so little time of having it, once these lines start there is no going back for the screen, you may get a screen that does not do this but i have been given a monitor with little use time before it started to defect otherwise its a good monitor for gaming on.
Trolled the net for an upgrade for my 10+ year old monitor.
Wanted a refresh rate of at least 144mhz and 1ms response plus jumped from 24″ to 27″ and finally settled on MSI.
For a while I was torn between the FHD and QHD with even better specs but finally the deciding factor was price, which at the time was 169.
As an older user, I was expecting full instructions but whilst the box contained a guarantee booklet in a million languages the quick start guide consisted of one sheet of basic numbered diagrams, which did not include what looked suspiciously like a red self destruct button on the rear. For full instructions you need to visit the MSI site.
Basic stand is easy to assemble and the monitor is connected to the PC by an HDMI cable.
Picture is clear and crisp and various options are available via the red button which I find very fiddly and is the one thing that I do not like.
I was a bit cautious given the small number of reviews but needed a new monitor as my previous one had broken. It arrived quickly and was easy to set up, not even needing a screwdriver. It looks great in terms of the monitor itself, and the stand is very modern and stylish. The screen is bigger than I expected and looks fantastic – colours are crystal clear, the refresh rate is great and so on.
The “joystick” to operate the menu is very simple and useful, especially with the shortcuts it has, which allow you to access four options of your choosing without needing to navigate the menu. Personally, I mainly use this to switch between the profiles – it has built in ones for different types of games. For example, if you use the Racing preset, colours will be more vivid and vibrant, and edges will be altered to give a more immersive illusion of speed. The FPS preset, on the other hand, has sharper lines and slightly more washed out colours that help you see enemies from a distance. There are four of these default presets that can all be customized, as well as a generic “user” preset that you can edit as well, and switch between all five on the fly simply by flicking up the joystick on the back of the monitor.
The monitor’s menu also has a display which quickly shows you your current resolution, refresh rate and whether or not the Adaptive Sync feature is enabled – this feature is very useful and works with both AMD and Nvidia’s respective softwares in my experience. The response time is flawless and the other screen features – such a blue-light dimming “reader mode” and a “cinema mode” that enhances videos – are also very useful and welcome additions.
I bought an Asus ROG Swift PG278Q for 360 5 years ago and wanted to have an extra screen for extra windows. This IPS panel has much better viewing angles and extra HDMI ports and slimmer bezel. Im really impressed so far. This hits my price point for a gaming monitor, im not interested in paying crazy prices. Not seeing any real downsides yet and really suprised this only has 2 reviews so far. There are a few things that could be better (that Id rather not pay for). These are, the screen doesnt go right to the edge, this monitor has an almost perfect tiny bezel on the left, up and right sides, it would look amazing if the image went right to the edge of the IPS, but it doesnt, it instead gives you an illusionary 1cm all the way around (easy to see when you are in the dark). This doesnt have the adjustment on the stand as my PG278Q, but I dont care. I have no dead pixels or noticable bleeding. Really happy with my purchase. I had to run the display port to my PG278Q from my GTX 970 as that doesnt have a HDMI port at all, but this monitor has a DP port and x2 HDMI Ports. Which ran the HDMI from the GFX card at 144hz which is fine for me. If you run a display port to this youll get 166Hz, but I just wanted to get going straight away and not order another 9.99 DP to HDMI cable.
Got this monitor for my son. Really nice design to the monitor, really looks the part and looks even nicer in person. The stand is quite deep so check how much space you have behind your monitor, it was a tight fit.
When buying this monitor I was worried about 2 things, would I get one with dead pixel and would it work with g-sync. I didn’t have to worry, it was all okay. The monitor is just perfect out the box without any dead pixels. Also g-sync works fine with my sons GTX 1650 super when using a display port cable. Switched on freesync in the monitor controls and then after a restart I could select g-sync compatible in the nvida driver settings.
I tried some of the gaming profiles but they all made the image look poor when using for basic non gaming tasks so just stuck to the “user” profile. Didn’t require much adjustment at all, really good default settings for me.
Now that I have seen how smooth gaming can be when you are not stuck at 60Hz I am thinking of a buying another for myself now!
