My work vehicle doesn’t have Bluetooth or a phone charger. Since it’s a work vehicle, I don’t want to put any money into replacing the radio. All you have to do is find an empty radio station and plug this in to the lighter port and tune it to the same station and you’re good to go. Has the perfect Bluetooth strength for the car. I had one before that was so strong that I missed calls in my house because the Bluetooth was too strong. This also has a fast charger which is a major plus.

This is great for playing audio in an older car. Connect this to your phone via Bluetooth, and then it transmits an fm signal to your car audio system. It plugs into the 12v charger for power and can charge your phone too.

I have used this for a month in my car and the bluetooth connects to my phone every time. The sound transmitted to my car is great. No issues using it. I can also fast charge my Iphone with the port that is included.

I have an 2003 convertible with a banging sound system, but no longer want to play CD’s, so I’ve been using BT/FM transmitters for a while. I had one that was amazing for years, but after it broke have had trouble finding one as good. That is, until now!

This unit is better than the only one because it has SUPER FAST CHARGING for my Samsung GN20! It also has ON/OFF capability! I used to unplug my old model because my lighter plug remains powered even when the key is not in the ignition. Now I can just turn the unit off and leave it in the plug! Lastly, the EQ function is good. I’ve never thought I wanted the EQ but found that the POP setting sounds better than the flat for most of my tunes, so I’m a happy camper!

I use this device for the usb-C charging. The light on it is bright and easy to connect to, it’s really fast at charging devices. The radio feature is great for cars without Bluetooth. The quality is nice and the device stands out.

I had high hopes for this transmitter. Our “standby” vehicle is older, so no bluetooth. The transmitter operates the phone, but it doesn’t play through the car’s speakers. I tried several stations without success. I gave it 4 stars incase it’s operator error. Maybe I wasn’t patient enough to find a station that worked. I’ll keep trying and will update my review if I’m successful.

It paired with no issues and it reconnects automatically when you turn on the ignition. The actual real push buttons on the unit are raised enough to make them easy to operate without looking. The EQ’s 5 different settings work. The multicolor display lights do let you change the color of the lighting on the unit. The phone functions work, the charging ports work and the controls are easy to use while driving. However, people had a difficult time hearing me on the phone when it was plugged in the lower front power outlet, but not so much when plugged into the unit towards the back of the console closer to me. Unfortunately in my vehicle, that 12V outlet faces towards the front of the car, which means I can’t see the unit, but I shouldn’t need to. My last receiver had a flexible arm that kept it up high, while the male plug was maybe 8 inches lower. But this receiver works better overall, just have to get used to it being in a different spot. It could actually be safer.

This Bluetooth plug thing worked out great! My husband has an older work truck and he wanted to be able to play music and podcasts from his phone (Samsung galaxy) and be able to talk on it hands free. It plugs into the old cigarette lighter hole and you choose a static radio station. It easily connected to his phone and he can hear everything through the truck speakers. He can hear everything very clear but when I’m talking to him on the phone through the speaker, I can hear a lot of background noise and it’s kind of hard to hear what he’s saying.

The Mycket Upgraded Bluetooth 5.0 FM Transmitter works flawlessly in my tractor.
I recently needed a way to connect my phone when I’m inside my tractor on the farm. It is equipped with a radio inside but no hands free for calls.

This solved my issue perfectly with no problem. It also added the function for me to charge the phone by having a USB Type C port on the actual transmitter as well.

There is also a Micro SD card option but that is far to high tech for me to use.

I am happy with the functionality and ease of use. Recommended.

Really appreciate how simplistic this design is. Set the station to where you’ll be transmitting and connect your phone via Bluetooth and turn your radio station to that station and you’re good to go. It’s bright and flashy with the RGB lighting but not too distracting. The Bluetooth sound quality comes in without any static. The hands-free also works very well. Overall good quality and bang for your buck.

This little transmitter is great for my older car that doesn’t have blue tooth capabilities. It allows me to easily stream my music from my phone through the car radio. Plug it in, find an available channel, sync with your phone and you’ve got music.

I like to put my music on a micro flash card, stick it in this handy device and then sync the device with my FM radio. It’s that easy. So glad to have this. Before I could not charge my phone in the car since it is an older one. That works nice also.

I just tried this unit in my car, using my phone and my ipod, and it worked with both it picks up the bluetooth signal from both easily, and will really come in handy for hands free calls in the car. When a call comes in, there is a one touch button on it to quickly answer the call, and then you don’t have to do anything else it routed the music from my ipod to the radio pretty well, and it had good volume

I have several older vehicles that don’t have Bluetooth capabilities, so I wanted something where I could connect my phone through to stream music and answer phone calls over the radio. This USB charger/transmitter works great for that. It was easy to connect to with my phone, I appreciate that there is a separate audio adjustment (at least in my case?) and the buttons don’t require a heavy touch in order to make selections. It takes a little bit to get the hang of adjusting the radio frequency on the USB transmitter, but once you’re done- it stays locked on the station.

I will say that the unit is kind of loose in the cigarette lighter/auxiliary power port. The LED color feature is a bit cheesy, but actually comes in handy at night for a low-level light in the car. There is also a slight hiss if you’re not playing any audio, but this may just be a result of the loose connection/age of the vehicle. Overall, it’s a great device for a really good price.

This product is a great little adaption to allow you to enjoy music from your phone via Bluetooth if you do not have these capability already. It is compact and plugs into your cigarette lighter slot – it was a bit of a faff to get the Bluetooth connected as it is via FM radio and there were no instructions on the box – you find these on the product description. However once it was on, it was great as it connects super quick and I can control my music via my phone/watch as they are synced up. I’d definitely recommend if you want to use for music or phone calls as the sound quality is nice and clear through the FM radio.

If you have an older car that lacks Bluetooth connectivity it can be a pain. With most music coming via streaming services, playing back your tunes without your phone is quite limited. So Mycket might have you covered with this simple device that uses your FM radio to listen to your music.

The Bluetooth adapter is packed in a illustrated box. Inside you have the adapter and a small guide. The adapter feels quite well made and is constructed in a piano black finish. With a display and buttons on the face, PD3.0 QC ports on the left side and front, a regular USB for media and charging on the right, and a micro SD card slot in the base.

Setting it up is straight forward. Plug the device into a 12v accessory socket, select a clear FM station on your car radio, press and hold the centre control then set the frequency to match. Then pair your phone like any other Bluetooth device and select and play back your media. You can then pause, skip tracks or adjust the volume from the device. The quality of the playback is pretty good and on par with the FM radio of your system. Not only does it playback your media but you can use it to receive calls. If you have an incoming call it will announce the number, and then just press the centre control to answer. The call quality is surprisingly good considering it uses a small mic located in the device. To end the call just press the same control. My main issue is the fact that none of the buttons are illuminated as they appear on the box and in the listing. This can make it hard to locate the correct ones. Considering the device has switchable colours this omission seems strange. The second thing is the location of the USB ports. Locating them on the sides seems neat and tidy but renders them unusable in some vehicles due to the location of the accessory port.

This is a useful and affordable device for those with older cars without Bluetooth. The setup is easy and the sound quality is good. The device can even be switched quickly from vehicle to vehicle. It’s only let down from the lack of illumination on the buttons. However it’s not too hard to figure out which is which so it becomes less of an issue with use.

I recently bought and Audi TT mk2 and hated the android stereo that’s was installed so I replaced it back to the Audi original. Only issue is there is no music streaming with the Audi stereo plus I don’t have an Aux in my car.

This looked to be perfect solution but unfortunately it will not fit in an Audi TT. It’s not the devices fault, it’s just there is not enough space. It does come on but I continually get static in the background which I think is because it’s not fully plugged in.

I did try it in another car and it worked pretty much perfectly. There was only a very small amount of background noise however the sound from the unit was spot on – almost the same as the direct Bluetooth connection in this car. It always seems to connect automatically to my phone which is great, no faffing around trying to get connected. The only thing that was average was the calling function, don’t get me wrong it would be fine for very quick calls but it’s not in the same league as a proper car kit.

Considering the price, this is a really simple way to connect your phone to a car without Bluetooth or Aux. Perfect for streaming music/audio with the added functionality of making and receiving calls.

Great device and works well - just not in an Audi TT mk2

Have ordered a couple of these Bluetooth devices to transmit music to my non-Bluetooth car radio, and have been very impressed with the sound quality and stability of the connection. They’ve been so impressive that family members keep borrowing them, so I’m keeping this one for myself! It’s pretty easy to set up: turn on your car radio and tune it to an empty channel, plug this in your cigarette lighter socket and tune it to the same channel, then link it to your phone via Bluetooth to divert the sound of anything you’re playing (music, podcast, YouTube) to your car stereo. Also great if you have children who want to listen to their favourite music rather than Smooth FM or Radio 2!

I would say these devices are a must have for anyone with an older car radio with no Bluetooth or aux socket. Also enables hands-free calls.

This cute widget plugs into your car’s cigarette lighter. You twiddle the knob to choose a frequency and tune your car radio to the same frequency. Then pair your phone to this gadget via bluetooth and you’re away: what you play on the phone comes out of the car stereo speakers. To say it’s going through bluetooth, this has proved surprisingly reliable: in a few days’ use the signal has only dropped twice, each time for just a second. The sound is as good as I could want in a car. (A CD might be purer, but would I notice over engine and traffic noise?) I found that the device dependably reconnected to both phone and radio when I turned the ignition, albeit it takes a few seconds.

There is a simple graphic equaliser function, to choose Rock, Classic(al?), Jazz or Pop. They are each distinctive, but I was happy enough with Normal. There’s a pretty coloured ring around the edge that can change automatically or at a button press, for what it’s worth.

There is the option to use a USB stick and/or a TF card (microSD, I think) as the source of your audio. The stick can be up to 32GB. I haven’t tried this, but it seems highly impractical: a 32GB stick could hold 10,000 tracks, but your only means of navigation is the Next and Previous buttons. So if you’re committed to listening to your entire collection in strict order, it’s great, but otherwise…

Anyway, that aside, it does a single job well, which is all I want from a product.

So, was looking forward to this one. My main reason for getting it was to see if I could play Audible (which is on my phone); through the car speakers of my ancient Nissan Micra (which doesn’t seem to have an auxiliary setting on the actual radio). Also, maybe play music through it. But, honestly, most of the time am happy for a radio DJ to do the ‘thinking’ for me and play a random selection of stuff. So, it was really the Audible / Audiobook thing which was my main motivation for getting this.

Pleased to report that it worked fine. You basically choose an empty radio station frequency in the car. Then plug this into the cigarette lighter socket, tune this thing to the same frequency by holding down the main button and turning it. By default it was set to 107.9. It then does its funky bluetooth connecting thing with your phone (you just have to allow it on the phone). If you then play your Audible audiobook, then you can hear it playing through the speakers on your car stereo; which is a definite upgrade.

Sound was great. Clear as a bell. Never lost the signal. Felt like it was just playing a CD (remember those!) Though I did need to crank the volume up a bit louder then I normally would for the radio.

To my surprise, it worked easily and effortlessly. The only slight fly in the ointment is that the other stations I had tuned in already were a bit staticky if I switched to them with this on. So I may have to play around to find a properly empty part of the FM spectrum for this in my area that doesn’t interfere with the signals of the other stations. (Though, interestingly, one station was still very clear, so I’m guessing its all down to signal strength)

But it’s not a big issue. You can just yank the device out if you want to play the radio. (There is apparently an app called Clear FM for IOS to find a clear signal. But I’m on Android. So will need to do some more research to find one for that.)

Also re-connected really quickly after I had turned off the car, went into a shop, and come back. Really, rather painless. Nice.

It also has all manner of other plug in options to recharge stuff etc. I tested out the USB C charger at the front while I was using the device to listen to an audiobook on my OnePlus 8T mobile through the Bluetooth. In a car journey of about 18 minutes it topped up the phone battery about 6% (60 to 66%). Which, bearing in mind, it was also playing the audiobook, was great. Means that you could listen to an audiobook on a long journey, and, as long as you had it charging at the same time, not worry about the battery going.

Note – They don’t include the USB C cable with this; so you will need to have your own.

Plenty of other bells and whistles. But I didn’t use them. Even for that single use scenario ie playing Audible Audiobooks in your car, this works fine, and is a very easy recommendation (and being able to charge at the same time – assuming you have a usb c to usb c cable lying around) is a Brucie bonus.

very easy to set up with bluetooth

    works with Siri
when taking a call in it through they cannot hear her very well at all, this may be due to where the Aux plug is positioned but it’s a shame it’s only good for music and not calls aswell

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBeen using this for a month or so in my car, it works great and sounds really good compared to one of those wireless transmitters you plug into the cigarette lighter.
The battery lasts a few days but can be annoying when it straight up dies when listening to music but that can be avoided as you can use it as it’s charging too.
The build quality is decent but nothing special
